"hm.. well the next person would probably be whoever we find next.. I'm hoping we get a chef or something like that but anyone who could handle themselves at sea would be perfectly fine, after all to defeat the navy we'd need some more who can fight.." he then said watching the doctor as they then got depressed again, "worthless?.. If you were worthless he would be dead right now.. I'll take these down below and then we'll head off" he said grabbing the supplies after opening the door and storing them below deck in what seemed to be the second room along. returning a short time afterwards to the wheel and setting off to move towards the next village wondering if there was anyone else that would join him without days of searching.

Sena's arm wrapped itself around Hermit's shoulder as she exclaimed her happiness that he was joining her crew. Not used to physical contact he resisted the urge to slam into her face with his fist, instead shoving her off of him and taking a step back. Apparently she wasn't bothered by this and began shouting orders. Hermit found she had pointed West, but didn't really give a notion, seeing Vince correct her with a little lesson. Shaking his head the man simply walked over, kicking the docking board up and putting it in it's proper place before moving to climb the main mast. In a few minute he had completely readied the ship to set sail, leaning against the Crow's Nest and looking out at the open sea. He was ready to go.

"Delicious!" a nobleman announced as he took a large bite out of a fruit. The man savored the taste of the mouth-watering fruit, taking in it's rich flavors and juices. Others were also enjoying similar fruits, each and every one of them experiencing the same euphoria. The fruit they were eating were known as Goldberris, said to taste differently to each person according to their specific tastes. They would only grow on the aptly named Goldberri Island, making them very rare and valuable. As such, there were times when some less fortunate persons would try to steal the fruits, even while someone was eating them.

A swordsman came dashing forward to steal the half-eaten goldberri, attempting to run off before he could he stopped. "Thief!" the nobleman exclaimed trying to run after him. "Too slow, old-!" the swordsman replied before colliding with a rather heavy-set individual. "Watch where you're going fatso!" he yelled while drawing his sword. The heavy man had his arms folded, assuming an authoritative pose. Silently, he picked up the swordsman by his shoulder and tossed him aside, knocking both of his possessions from his hands. The swordsman reflexively went for his sword while the man picked up the fruit. "You're gonna pay for that, fatso!" he growled as he charged forward.

"I am not fat! My body is heavy with responsibility and my heart with justice!" Dogomo announced with an upheld fist. The swordsman forced himself to stop, dumbfounded at his response. Other joined him in question remarks, "That's so cheesy." "Is he for real?" "Sounds like something made for children." The swordsman snapped back to reality and continued his attack. Dogomo charged forward with his shoulder, knocking the wind out of the man and ended the fight with a single move. The nobleman stepped forward, snatching the fruit from his hands. "Good show there. What reward would you like for salvaging my treat?" Dogomo stood at attention with a palm-inwards salute. "No reward is needed, sir. I am upholding the laws of this town."

Dogomo bowed before leaving the local marines to deal with the thief. While he wasn't a pirate, the island did not welcome him warmly as they would a tourist. The marines had opted not to concern themselves with him, as he assisted them in maintaining law and order within the unruly parts of town. He looked around to the location he was in. Nobles and high-society members were enjoying the goldberris they had purchased while the townspeople looked as though they were homeless and starving. Dogomo sighed with displeasure at the sight of them. Even though he was kind at heart and wanted to aid the citizens of Goldberri Island, he was first and foremost a lawful man. That meant making sure pirates were kept at bay and the upper-class individuals were happy and safe. I am truly sorry. But my duties come first. I will not repeat my mistakes again. As he left, the marines picked up the unconscious swordsman but did not handcuff him. They began to escort him to a secure location unknown to most of the civilians.

Walking through the large city was a new change to someone like Leo and possibly the others, the streets were packed with people, and exceedingly large building lay on every corner. Judging by the attire of the passing people Leo assumed that is was quite a wealthy town. Leo folded his arms and sighed.

"I wonder if we can find someone here?" Leo questioned as he stopped and looked down for a moment. He then lifted his head up and noticed that not to far in the distance was a much larger isolated building with the imprinted picture of a seagull on it and the word "Marine".

Leo turned to Jikka and Chuck. "There's a Marine HQ here? I wonder if there's a strong marine that wants to join us!!!" Leo stated as he clenched his fists and looked excited.

Meanwhile in the large Marine HQ.

"Captain!!!" came the panicking sound of a low class marine as he ran into a large office. "That crew's been spotted!!! They're on this island!"

The large man stood up from his chair and gazed out the window seeing the large city. "Find them." came his deep sinister voice.

The soldier nodded and turned to run out until he stopped and turned back. "Oh and Sir! What of the 2 others? Sena D. Wolf and Kazuya D. Black?"

"Send their bounties over the Blues."

Meanwhile again...

In a large Marine Ship stood a 15 foot cage with inside it a large ape like creature with slight human characteristics. Noticably Marine Captain Mannings was on the ship.

"We're almost there Kong! You will be the highlight of the cities entertainment!" manning stated in a sinister manner as all the marine soldiers continued to point their guns at the caged brown 10 foot Gorilla.

"hahhaah!!!" Manning laughed hysterically.

After a rather large and very delicious feast thanks to Alex, Sena found herself sprawled out in the middle of the small deck they had sleeping off the large meal. Before falling asleep she felt bad for Alex since he was left with all of the dishes, which most of them were because of her large appitite, but it didn't stop her from going to sleep as soon as she laid out across the deck. For the next two days on the open sea Sena made it her personal mission to try and find out anything she could about their new crewmate; Hermit. Alex was pretty easy to talk to. I mean he was a kid, only like 13 or 14 years old and Sena saw him as a little brother almost. She was an only child so any friends she made she was really close to them. She really liked talking to him while he was cooking, because he always looked happy while doing so.

Vince pretty much answered any question she had, though she was always given her answer with his strange way of making everything sound so poetic yet confusing at the same time. Either way she was enjoying her time with her crewmates. All except Hermit. Sena had attempted to sneak around, which was pretty hard to do considering the limited amount of space on the ship, and watch Hermit to figure out some of his habits since he barely talked at all. But all he had really did was stay on the crows nest and do nothng. It was very boring and most of the time Sena fell asleep while trying to wait for him to do something.

Finally something had caught her eye off in the distance. She squinted her eyes to try and make out what it was, and then she smiled. "Hey guys! I see land! Go there! Go there!" She exclaimed pointing excitedly towards the Island. Apparently her shouting was heard because the boat began making a straight beline for it. She was at the edge of the boat the entier time and when they docked she didn't pay attention to the strange look she was given by the man working the docks. His clothes weren't very well kept, and the sunken in features of his face, an indication of poor eating, also went unnoticed by Sena as well as she looked at the town they docked in.

"Hey guys, hurry up and get off the boat! This place looks awesome!"

"Ms. Sena, after our "previous attempts" I do recommend I you take your time, peril lies afoot. A single misplaced stroke, and this masterpiece will degrade it's quality ten-fold. Please, take caution." Vince said as he leaped from the boat to Sena, to be greetd by his fangirls wherever he went. "Ladies, please, now's really not the time..." "WE LOVE YOU!" "MARRY ME!" "Oh my...this is why I wear you, my accomplice. Tata, my cherry blossoms, I desire you await for my return so that I may serenade thine beauty divine and bask in thine life giving glory." And the usual occured, the women fainting from his magicl voice and words. "Ms. Sena, I do insist two things. Firstly, we avoid as many women who may recognize me as possible, and secondly..." He took out his mask and showed it to her. "When I bear this, you must refer to me as Scarlet. Do not ask why. This mask bears horrors my real self would despair from." He then looked into her eyes, hands on her shoulders, and said "Ms. Sena, promise me."

For the majority of the journey, Hermit had remained in the Crow's Nest without moving. When he did leave his perch atop the ship he was constantly followed by the ship's captain in her attempt to figure out what he was doing; annoying Hermit as she snuck about. Looking behind during one moment he heard her slam into the wall, making sure she wasn't spotted, which made him shake his head. On occasion he would manage to slip away down to the deck and walk about, looking over the ship himself. However he eventually found himself back up at the Crow's Nest so he could nod off to sleep.

A sudden shout woke him up, the Captain's shouting of land making him look to the horizon. Within minutes they docked and both Sena and Vince left to explore the area. Sighing he leaped from his spot to the ground, shocking the wrinkled old man quite badly, and began following the two. Listening to Vince, surrounded by fan girls, speak made his stomach curdle; he was already not liking the man more and more.

As Dogomo made his way through town, he stopped by one of the shops to take a seat. The cool breeze passed over his exposed head while he took off his gloves to further relax, wiping off beads of sweat. Even though his girth never tired him out, his constant patrolling occasionally would. Taking these short breaks helped Dogomo to reflect on why he was there in the first place. The memories of his past always crept up to disturb his daydreaming, never allowing him to fully rest. After a few minutes the tired soldier stood up and pressed on to continue his journey. As long as their was crime and villainy, and he a warrior of the law, Dogomo would forever walk the path of justice.

Before long, the warrior found himself patrolling the docks of the town. To him, a dastardly group of pirates would regularly terrorize the citizens of the island, and it was his civil duty to defend them. Unfortunately, a group of pirates did indeed enter the island: Sena, Vince, and Hermit. Sena wanted to take in the sights, Vince kept his chivalrous charm with the noblewoman of the island, and the stoic Hermit grudgingly followed. Dogomo's tired eyes and heavy body witnessed these new arrivals, mistaking them for brutes and scum. The warrior took action and dashed forward before Sena, stopping a few feet before her.

"Black Beak Pirates, we meet again!" he shouted in a tall, rigid pose with crossed arms. "You have come to steal the fruit this island bears, correct? Your darkness shall never triumph over the light of heroism!" Dogomo repositioned himself into a sumo wrestler's stance; crouched down with one fist on the ground and the other extended and facing away. "I am the defender of truth!" His switched the positions of his hands. "I am the noble warrior of light!" Now both hands were facing away, his body in an 'X' shaped pose. "Justice shall always prevail! I-" he back-flipped into the air. "-Am-" Heavy legs slammed into the ground, fists locked together in front of him. "Dogomo!" A large, symbolic 'D' appeared behind him, intensified by spinning lights of color while a wave crashed into the shore to further dramatize the moment.

Dogomo held his pose and confidence for a few moments until the flare ran dry. A well-timed tumbleweed bounced between the two figures, carried in an awkward wind. Coughs and murmurs were uttered by other onlookers, accustomed to but still disturbed by Dogomo's constant displays of heroism. The heavy warrior took the opportunity to dash forward at top speed, which would be a normal run for most. Strangely, his footsteps caused dents in the ground as he ran from the force of his attack. While he was not the most skilled fighter, Dogomo's raw strength more than made up for it and was not to be taken lightly.

Vince tried to explain to Dogomo what was happening, but he was cut off by the impatient attack. And so he placed upon his mask, converting into his alter ego, the reknowned assasin named the Scarlet Terror. "Hmph, please." the swagger of the Terror's voice was backed up by the elegant and swift maneuver he made, sweeping Sena off her feet and leaping out of harms way. Then he took off the mask and spoke. "Noble Dogomo, warrior of light, I do notice you mistake us for the Black Beak Pirates. I do assure you, a lady such as Ms. Sena and a noble artist such as myself would neversink to the low ranks of said Piracy. We are indeed Pirates, but we come with no intention of harming this land." He then whispered to Sena "Why did we come here again?" before continuing. "Surely, if you are as just as you claim, you'll hear us out and allow us a chance to prove our worth to you, that we mean no harm. This masterpiece of a land so graceful...I would die before allowing said beauties to become tarnished."

Sena simply nodded at Vince and smiled, "Sure thing. If that's what you want. I'll call you Sca-" Before she could finish she was inturrupted by a rather gusto looking man. He began yelling something about being the defender of justice, and something about them being the Black Beak Pirates. Sena simply watched the guy's entire display. In the end she started an awkward clap, not exactly sure what to do. "Um...Excuse me. Dogomo was it? Yeah um...What are you talking about?" She was completely confused. Suddenly he started charging towards her. Sena's eyes widened to dinner plates and sweat was running down her face like a marathon. "H-h-h-hey! Wa-wait! I didn't do an-UMPH!!"

She was expecting the collision between her and the much larger man, but was instead gently swept up by Vince, who was not in his "Scarlet Terror" persona. After listening to what Vince said she nodded. "Yeah, he's right. I don't have a clue as to what fruit you are talking about. Or this Beak Buck Pirate people!"

Dogomo noticed his attack had missed as he continued forward. "Lies! Just as one would expect from a pirate! You have no shame, no rules! Only whatever you seek to obtain! That is why I shall do my very best to stop you! See how small you are compared to justice!"

His voice wandered off as the soldier vanished from sight, continuing to run on the same path as his charge. In the distance, one could see him slowly turning around to run back, only for him to trip forward and stumble. However, this was intentional as he body began to rapidly spin forward, until his form was nothing more than a giant spinning sphere. The ball came rushing forward at double in normal speed, though in an even more single direction. Once again, the ground beneath his trail formed a trench from the force of his attack. The sphere came just before Sena and Vince, right in front of them and about to strike!... before they realized his angle was off and the warrior rushed straight into the ocean.

With great shame, the drenched Dogomo slowly made his way back to the duo, spitting a small fountain of water from his mouth. "Perhaps I was a bit hasty in reaction. You did not seem to strike me from behind, as would a true villain." He wiped the salt water from his eyes to get a better view of the two. While Vince had a more elegant and commanding presence in the current situation, Dogomo could see the potential in Sena from her eyes. "You seem to be the Captain of the Black Beak Pirates. I would never take it from the way your crew had caused some so much damage to this island." The warrior shook his head in disappointment before removing the glove from his left hand. "I am Dogomo, the self-made officer of peace of this island. Though you are pirates, I am forced to welcome you as potential tourists. Please help yourself to the surrounding sights and attractions."

Dogomo began to walk off before noticing a marine in the background, the latter walking back into the shadows. He knew that it was a signal of something bad on the horizon. A once-over glance to the famished citizens of the island, then back to Sena and Vince, the soldier gave a great sigh before turning to face them again. "Please, if you would. I am forbidden to by law, but maybe you could help me. Deep down, I need to know why these people are suffering. Look at the drastic difference between them and the nobles of this town. If you can find a way to save them, I will overlook any misdeeds you may make. But only once." He held his hands together before returning them to his sides. "Also, Black Beak Pirates, be careful of the marines. If they seek to arrest you, I am obligated to help them."

Sena was thuroughly confused by this Dogomo's behavior. Not only that but when he went to attack them again he instead, bowled straight into the ocean behind them. "H-hey...Are you ok?" Sena asked worried that he may be hurt from the impact. He slowly made his way back to the docks and she had to keep from laughing. He looked quite funny drenched in water. Once again he reffered to them as the Black Beak pirates, and she sighed.

"How many times do I have to tell you? We're not the Black Beak pirates, we are the....The...Wow..." Sena realized that she had yet to come up for a name for their pirate crew. It hadn't even crossed her mind that she would need to think of one. "Hm..." Sena was pulled from her thoughts as Dogomo began asking for their help with a problem in the town. He wanted to know why there was such a difference between the nobles and the other citizens. As Sena looked around she suddenly noticed. While she would normally suspect some difference between the two - like better clothes, hygine and the likes - what she was was plain sad.

The citizens looked, for the lack of better term, on death's door. Most looked so weak and frail that the simplest of wind would have them crumbling to the ground. The man who tied their boat, looked ready to collasp and his skin was sunken in as if he hadn't eaten in days. It was too much of a drastic difference to be normal. "Why hadn't I noticed that before?" She wondered sadness and hurt gripping her heart. What Dogomo said next surprised her, "There are Marines on this island!?" What the hell were they doing up there, while these people were so poorly being taken cared of?

After Dogomo walked off Sena heard the last thing he said and called out, "And we arent the Black Beak Pirates!" She crossed her arms, "When is that guy going to get it right?"

"Well, I suppose we should get going." Sena said and started walking into the town. In the town it was even worse. The women and the children looks just as bad as the poorly built buildings the took refuge in. Some begged from the Nobles passing by, only to rarely recieve a Beri or two, but more commanly a sneer or a kick. It took all her strength to not stop and keep walking. As they did, the buildings became much more nicer, and the people much more....Well noble looking. There was like an invisible line that seperated the undesireables from the rich. "I'm not likeing this Island." She said taking a sip from her water canteen.

~GoldBerri Marine HQ~

"General Gilrun, I have a report that a group of pirates just landed on the Island sir." A young marine said, body at attention and looking straight ahead. In front of him was a desk, and a single chair, which at the moment was facing away from him and towards the large windows that over looked the entire Island.

"Is that so." General Gilrun said. His voice smooth, yet would still manage to demand attention from an entire room by a single word.

"Yes, sir. It seems that Dogomo has already engaged the pirates, and apparently it is the Black Beak Pirates."

General Gilrun grunted in distaste. "That bulbus fool again? If he wasn't useful I would have him fed to the sharks.....Who were the ones to exit the ship, and how many?"

"Four sir. Two grown men, and young boy and a female. It appears that the female is the captain of the group." The marine answer quickly, and efficiently. Not once had he moved from his position of attention.

"The Black Beak Pirates are not ruled by a foolish, and simple minded woman. I want them watched at all times. They are not to do a single thing without me knowing about it. You are dismissed."

"Sir!" The marine saluted, about faced and then walked off to put his General's orders into action.

~Back with Sena~

"So um, what kind of food do you have here?" Sena asked the waitress of the diner they were in. The only thing she saw the people eating were strange looking berries. They were gold, and didn't look very delicious, but the way everyone was eating them it had to be.

"We only serve Goldberis ma'am."

Sena gave a thoughtful 'Hmm' with a hand on her chin. "Then we will take four."

"That will be 400,000 be-"

"WHAT!?!" Sena exclaimed comically pushing the waitress back from the strength of her voice. "How in the world is anyone supposed to afford that?"

Vince looked around the town in horror as he saw people begging for food and water. Their faces skinny and bony, matching the rest of their bodies. The town was truly a sight bearing the division of wealth and you could clearly see the effects it had on the people. As he walked with Sena, a young boy came up to him, begging for something to eat. Vince shed a tear as he opened his rucksack and took out some bread, giving it to the boy. "This- this is a monstrocity. Contrasts create character, yet this portrait shows nothing more than foul disgrace. At least the forests and the countryside isn't harmed by said intoxicating aura.".

---At the resturant---

"Excuse me ma'dam, but these Gold Beris are rather expensive." Vince said in a subtle and calm manner, unlike the shocked voice owned by Sena. "And in fact, it appears we might not be able to afford such treasures native to this land. Alas, it is a tragedy. So, is there any way I could persuade you into perhaps lowering the price? I do hope a majestic, mature and refined jewel of a woman such as yourself could allow us to perhaps pay little less in exchange for a promise." He asked in his afluent and exquistite manner. He then took his seat and looked upon his mask. 'My friend, you have caused me no end of trouble, but I do believe that we together have become one...' he thought as he placed it into his pocket. "And Ms. Sena, please do calm down my young blossom, for this refined establishment does not enjoy the company of the loud and powerful symphonic melody that is your voice...oh what am I saying, you'll never change. Come on, sit down and relax. Enjoy the seranade of the atmosphere in such a magnificent resturant."

Okay! After a wait here is my massive "catch-up" post 8O

Listening to Vince, surrounded by fan girls, speak made his stomach curdle; he was already not liking the man more and more. However the more they walked the more Hermit's attention was drawn from his flamboyant shipmate towards another, even more disturbing, focal point. Looking around he noticed the expressions of the starving people while his crew remained oblivious. He could feel it in the pit of his stomach, the twisting gnawing uneasiness. For a minute he paused and readied to feed the children who were following behind him like lost puppies, begging for even the tiniest morsel to nourish them.

Yet he was interrupted by the loud yelling of someone in the forefront of their group. Looking up he could see a large overweight man standing before them. Shifting his position he watched as the man began an elaborate ritual which ended with him in the shape of a 'D', an awkward silence following suite; only broken by the occasional cough and Sena's slow clapping. When he suddenly sprinted forward towards them, rushing at the speed of a fast run, Hermit prepared to take the assaulter out in a single blow . . .

As Hermit went to swing he realized something. His opponent had accidentally ran in the wrong direction and his attack had missed, while he continued moving out of view. Turning around Hermit watched this strange man before seeing him trip, having turned around to run back at them, and begin rolling like a giant boulder. Another series of comedic events later and the man came back drenched to the bone and now willing to listen. Speaking with Sena, Hermit no longer found a reason to fight against the man and simply began looking around while half heartily listening to the conversation.

"And we aren't the Black Beak Pirates! When is that guy going to get it right?"

Hermit turned, his attention snapped to his Captain, as she yelled at Dogomo who was leaving; having called the crew by the wrong name once more. His eyes still on Sena he listened to her state that they should get going. Where? Hermit didn't know, since he had by then stopped listening to what the fat man was saying. Instead he simply followed as they walked deeper and deeper into the island.

The farther they went into the island the more it become apparent the gap between the rich and the poor; those on the outskirts by the harbor in better shape than anyone in the actual village. While they walked Vince had been stopped by some child, begging for food, to which he opened his rucksack and took out a loaf of bread to give to the boy. Running off and splitting the bread amongst his friends they only waited to thank Vince for the food before shoving it down their throats and rushing around to find some more, "Th-This is a monstrosity. Contrasts create character, yet this portrait shows nothing more than a foul disgrace . . ."

Hermit could actually agree with Vince on this, even through the enriched manner of speaking Vince possessed. He had personally never seen a place so run down where they people lied dying in the street. Feeling a tug on his pants leg Hermit spun around, pointing his right hand in the form of a gun, and stopped when he was it was a dirt covered little girl. Unable to speak she was so thirsty she merely motioned with her hands for a hand out. Removing his index finger from her forehead, a smudge where it had touched, he knelt down and looked into her pleading eyes; along his travels he had learn to almost "read" people by their expressions. The girl eyes told him many things. They told a story of tragedy in which she was alone with no one to take care of her and was slowly starving to death.

Nodding his head Hermit dug into his pack and pulled out his canteen, handing it to her. He actually smiled as she chugged it down so quickly she coughed, yet even then made an effort to waist a single droplet of the precious liquid. Finishing the entire thing he handed her a slice of apple, having been left behind, and divided it up amongst all of those who came asking for food; he found himself soon overwhelmed. His pack completely empty of anything he could hand out he kept hearing the children begging for more, their bellies grumbling for the desire to be not just content but completely stuffed so that they'd be unable to eat another bite. Standing up he gave a nod, motioning for them to follow, and began to walk after his two crew members; Sena and Vince had by now reached the boarder of the Nobility.

Finally they crossed into the area which housed the privileged rich, something that disgusted Hermit. Finally they stopped into a dinner, filled with cold air, for something to eat. Everyone was wearing fancy, elaborate, jewelry with many sparkling gems; something Hermit was able to evaluate their personal wealth by. Each Noble ate golden colored berries with dainty movements, as if they were afraid of wasting even the smallest bit and patting their puffy lips after even the tinniest bite.

"That will be 400,000 be-"

"WHAT!?!" Sena yelled louder than need be when she heard the price of the food from the waitress, who in distress had taken a step back. Shaking her head Hermit listened as his new found Captain asked the next obvious question, "How in the world is anyone supposed to afford that?"

"Ms. Sena, please do calm down my young blossom, for this refined establishment does not enjoy the company of the loud and powerful symphonic melody that is your voice...oh what am I saying, you'll never change. Come on, sit down and relax. Enjoy the serenade of the atmosphere in such a magnificent restaurant," Vince had stated to the captain after her outburst. Sena was having trouble imagining how such a simple food could cost to much and was beginning to get a bit out of hand, if Vince hadn't calmed her down. Once she was calmed down the want to be poet spoke to the woman, "Excuse me madam, but these Gold Berries are rather expensive . . . and in fact, it appears we might not be able to afford such treasures native to this land. Alas, it is a tragedy. So, is there any way I could persuade you into perhaps lowering the price? I do hope a majestic, mature and refined jewel of a woman such as yourself could allow us to perhaps pay little less in exchange for a promise."

The woman blushed at his affluent and exquisite manner of speaking, yet once she shook her head she regained her composure. Raising the menu up a bit she looked down at Vince and exclaimed that the prices were set and she didn't have the power to change them, she also commented that the owner would not be willing to change the prices either. Her eyes narrowing at the two she looked more menacing like this, "So if you cannot afford to pay then I suggest you lea-

The waitress never managed to finish her sentence, the sound of children screaming in excitement and their footsteps erupted inside the dinner. The Nobles who had been eaten were wide eyes as Hermit stood in the doorway with the kids coming in wave after wave; once the final one had came in only the original girl he had met stayed beside him. Walking in to Sena and Vince's table the children mimicked him and sat down at any table they could find an empty seat for or on the ground itself. The waitress seemed lost for words until, after a cough, she held her nose up at them, "Sir! This is a well known establishment and if you cannot pay then you-

"Here," Hermit said pulling out a sack of money, the children cheering, and sat it on the table. The string cord unraveled and revealed enough berrie for every single child and his own crew to eat at least one full plate of their exquisite meal. The waitress counted . . . and recounted the money again before looking up stunned at the dusty looking man, "H-How?"

"Got me a nice little paper route," Hermit mumbled crossing his arms and leaning back in the chair, his hood covering the rest of his face so only his lower face and a single eye was visible, "Now shut up and go away . . ."

Sena was stll pissed off at the outrageous price for a simple fruit, no matter how good it was. No wonder there were so many starving people here! They couldn't afford even a fraction of what this fruit cost. Luckily Vince had interviened and calmed her down, because she was about to go off on this lady. Vince then attempted to sweet talk the women into lowering the price, but she declined all the while a blush was on her face. Sena sat back in her chair and arms folded resembling a pouting child who didn't get their way. Suddenly the sound of numerous children was heard at the door, and when Hermit opened the door dozens of kids ran in going for any empty chair they could find, or settling onto the floor.

The waitress was about to complain, until Hermit shut her up by placing a bag full of beris. Enough to feed every child and the crew. Sena was more surprised by the Hermit's actions then how much money he had. She looked around at all the kids, and the Hermit a smile coming to her face. "I knew there was more to you than just going after money. You really are a nice guy, huh?" She said, sticking her tongue out at the waitress you left red in the face, but this time from anger and embarressment, and went to get everyone's meal.

"These are the kind of people I want in my crew!" Sena said. "Someone who isn't selfish when it really comes down to it."

Meanwhile, off in the distance a large and menacing looking vessle was coming closer to the island. The Jolly Rodger of the ship waving high, and proud in the air. The skull of a bird and the typical crossed bones, along with black bird feathers was the insignia. Those on the docks, and who had seen this began scurring for any hiding spot they could find. It was the real Black Beak Pirates.

"I knew there was more to you than just going after money. You really are a nice guy, huh?" Sena had said. She stuck her tongue out as the waitress vanished into the back, getting everyone's meal ready, and Hermit used this chance to do a little trick he'd develop. Pulling on the wire he'd attached to the bag it hopped from where the waitress had placed it and pulled it over back to his feet; he quietly picked it up and put it in his cloak again. He was kind to the children but he had never had any intention of paying this establishment, instead he simply did the pirate thing and cheated them out of a whole bunch of food.

"These are the kind of people I want in my crew!" Sena said. "Someone who isn't selfish when it really comes down to it."

Hermit simply nodded his head, knowing he was indeed being quite selfish to a degree, and picked up some of the berries which had been brought out. The staff was having a hard time keeping up with the demands of the children and this amused Hermit, who hide his grin underneath the hood which never seemed to leave his head. Swallowing a rush of energy washed over Hermit as his head snapped up, he had just sensed powerful aura somewhere . . . but where and who was it?

Vince smiled as he saw the children enjoy their meal. What made him even more satisfied was that Hermit made this possible. He smiled as he looked at the man with admiration. 'You sir are indeed mysterious, but your tough outer shell hides a soft and lighter side. At least I hope so.' he thought as he glanced back at the children. "They are really enjoying the food. And their innocent looks on their faces are just irreplaceable. There truly is no greater gift than a child's happiness." He said, mostly to himself. He then overheard Sena teasing the waitress and Vince looked back at her with a friendly smile, in hopes she'd feel better, which ultimately she did as she brushed her hair behind her ear with a smile on her face.

"These are the kind of people I want in my crew!" Sena said. "Someone who isn't selfish when it really comes down to it."

"Ms. Sena, you're right. I know not what I may cal you sir, but I do wish to inform you what you did was overwhelmingly generous, and I know life will reward you with a bountiful reward for such generocity" Vince said in response to this. He then smiled at him and said "I do suppose we never really introduced ourselves, good sir!" and after lettin out a light hearted chuckled he said "I'm Vincent da Leonard, but do feel free to call me Vince. May I perhaps be priveledged to know your name?"

"And we arent the Black Beak Pirates!" Dogomo had heard before he was out of range. The thought seemed to pause his step for a moment, forcing him to reconsider his reasoning. They did not appear to be ne'er-do-wells. In fact, they would seem to be a peaceful bunch of fellows. A dirt-stained glove rubbed his tired eyes and squeezed the bridge of his nose. His vision blurred, the ground before him distorting and shifting, before re-adjusting. Dogomo had not had a long rest in the two months he had been on the island, maybe an hour or so each day to sleep off. His heavy body became heavier and harder to move with each passing day, which had caused his movements to be as sloppy as they were.

Crash. The large man fell backward after walking straight into a sign at the docks. He rolled his body to either side as would a turtle to aid in standing up. Managing to shift onto his stomach, Dogomo looked up into the distance to see an all too familiar flag. The insignia was the skull of a bird and the typical crossed bones, along with black bird feathers. The real Black Beak Pirates insignia. Pushing himself up, the heavy man attempted to run back into town to fulfill his righteous duty. To his chagrin, his legs gave way to his weight which caused to collapse on one knee. I am...more exhausted than I let myself believe. I may not survive another battle, the warrior reflected on. Images of blood-stained bodies and screams of terror overpowered his doubts, pumping adrenaline into his veins. But I must continue. I will never fail to protect the innocent ever again!

A few minutes later, the Black Beak Pirates had made their way into town. True to their ruthless reputation, they made their presence known by harassing the citizens. Elders and children were kicked aside like dogs or thrown onto the ground. Even the smallest throw caused their brittle bodies to break under the pressure. The starved woman were being hit on by the more perverted members of the crew while the starved men were beat on for laughs. Onlooking nobles paid no mind to the carnage before them, either unconcerned with the pirate's arrival or being harassed themselves. The pirates began to steal precious jewelry and clothes from the nobles, while taking some of them hostage in order to negotiate later on with the marines. A strange note for a concentrating passerby was that the delectable, expensive, and abundant goldberris in the noble's district were largely left untouched. Almost as if they were purposely being ignored.

Dogomo had arrived in the nick of time, the pirate's siege only a few minutes in work. Standing atop the tallest building, his appearance was obscured the sun's rays. "Halt you heinous hounds! You have chosen an unfortunate day to pilfer the plentiful riches of this island! For I, Dogomo, Purveyor of Justice, shall end your illegal invasion!" The large man jumped from atop the building into middle of what would become a new battlegrounds. A small crater was left by the determined man, his body ready for combat. The pirates had decided to skip on their usual 'fat jokes' and take him out as they always did. On every occasion the Black Beak Pirates had entered the island, Dogomo would arrive to stop them. He would manage to defeat most of their men before they had retreated on days past, but each progressive battle weaken him. Most would become half, which became a quarter, which dwindled down to just a few. He was fortunate in his last encounter to survive at all, the marines deciding to scare them off before they could kill him.

Dogomo began his assault by charging toward a group of three men with his arms outstretched. The impact of his charge knocked the wind out of them before they could react. They continued flying backward into a building, smashing through the brick walls. Taking notice, the pirates began to converge on him with swords and guns at the ready. A few shots were fired at his chest, his armor well-withstanding the meager bullets but his arms and legs suffering the damage. As soon as one pirate managed to come into distance, Dogomo seized his arm and swung him like a club into his fellow crewmates. Another dozen were knocked out by his assault, but more had made their way to him. Sword slashes cut into flesh as punches and kicks soon followed. Two pirates held his arms down as another large man came forward brandishing an equally large axe. He held the weapon high enough to finish the justice warrior with one swing. "This appears to be a bad ending for me. I regret nothing. Let fate decide whether my justice will shine through," the warrior announced as his final words. I forgot to ask the names of those cheerful fellows I met. I suppose I do regret something.

Suddenly Vince heard some clashing and screaming outside. His pushed the table away and walked for the door, observing what it was that caused the commotion. And he saw the Pirates just about when they pinned Dogomo down. "How disgusting and unhonourable." He said as he drew his rapier and placed on his mask, his eyes darting upon the walls which he elegantly leaped from and landed upon the roof. The Scarlet Terror then overlooked the situation and saw the axe getting raised above Dogomo's head. "An execution? Hmph." He spotted a washing line nearby and using his cloak he used it as a zipline. Then upon approaching the pirates he leaped from the sky and said "Scarlet Flash!". The Terror then began spinning and swiping at the axewielding pirate, and tackled him as he crashlanded. And the Scarlet Terror regain his posture, looked into the downed pirate with the rapier above his heart and said "If you're going to kill someone, do it with artistry!" as he punctured the skin and killed the pirate. The others witnessed it and were slightly intimidated by the assailant. "And gentlemen, my name is the Scarlet Terror."

Suddenly two charged at him, Terror easily dodging them and bashing their heads together, whilst finishing with a backflip roundhouse. Then he dashed at another, leaping over him, but as he passed overhead he stabbed him through the neck. Then he spotted a pirate trying to flee. Scarlet Terror leaped from a wall and pounced on the man, grasping his neck to knock him unconscious. There were still alot of them, but he managed to clear some space for Dogomo to stand up again. "Seems like you could've used my help. As I said before, I'm the assasin known as the Scarlet Terror. And I desise unfair fights." He said in a manner in which he found the situation at hand humourous.

Lily ran through the alleyways, breathing heavily as the marines ruthlessly tried to hunt her down. I KNEW it was a mistake to challenge that marine commander, she thought to herself, holding onto her katana tightly, her kodachi tied to her side. I think I'll hide out in the ruins for a bit, once I can get up there. God, I wish I could get a lift with someone off this bloody island. The island spanned a few miles and was almost completely covered with buildings. It seemed like a major marine outpost that had bloomed with economic value at one point, resulting in a major boom of buildings and people. Nowadays the outer areas of the island were just ruins, abandoned to become a part of nature once more and there was only a small town at the port and a smaller marine outpost. Lily ran for the outskirts of the city, having to knock out a few marines with the hilt of her katana before she made it out of the town, the marines yelling that she was headed for the ruins. Damn, I only have a few days if they're gonna search the ruins. Please let someone come. I'll even join a pirate if he can get me out of this mess.

Kazuya noticed an island nearby after a short time of sailing, deciding to try to check it out with a telescope he had found on the deck earlier he saw what looked like ruins with a port with a small port not that far away from them then seeing a Military outpost nearby the town. "well if anyone's there those ruins would be a good place to hide.. but the size of them it would take weeks for us to properly search them wouldn't it?" he said seemingly to no-one as he turned the ship slightly. "Well the Military post seems small so we should be able to get away with a visit there as long as we don't go too far with how we talk towards them.." he then continued just loud enough to be heard.

"I'm Vincent da Leonard, but do feel free to call me Vince. May I perhaps be privileged to know your name?" Vince had said after introducing himself, but Hermit paid no mind to him. He was not going to state his true name and instead would simply ignore him until he grew tired of asking the redundant question; this'd leave him only to be called Hermit by everyone in the crew. Picking up some of the berries he consumed a bit before setting them down back on the plate, standing up as he felt a powerful aura somewhere close by.

Within minutes. No. Seconds of Hermit sensing the energy did the sound of a fight reach his ears; all originating right outside the dinner. The children yelled and screamed as they saw the events unfold outside, spurring Vince to dawn his mask and exit the area. Hermit, watching from a window, saw the shipmate begin assaulting the real Black Beak Pirates; saving Dogomo by killing the pirate who would've cleaved his head off. Sighing Hermit glanced up, spotting a Pirate ready to snipe Vince from the roof, and used his devil fruit powers to shoot him through the forehead.

Standing up from his seat Hermit motioned for everyone to stay inside and then looked to Sena, his eyes questioning if she was going to accompany him in the 'sport'.

Sena was enjoying all of the food that Hermit provided and was happily chowing down. She was not aware like Hermit was, of the pirates making their way to the island, and she was so into the food that the fighting going on outside didn't even bother her. It wasnt until Vince got up, put his mask on and ran out did she finally look up from her very delicious fruit. "Fwhtsgonomf?" She asked with a mouth full of food. She swallowed and asked again, "What's going on?"

The children in the resturant began screaming due to the fighting sounds that originated at the docks, which surprisingly weren't that far away as it could be seen from the resturant. Hermit stood next and after doing something he looked at her as if askign if she was joining. Sena hopped up, "R-right! We gotta help the town!" She said as if realizing what was happening. How she was ever going to become king of the pirates was a mystery.

She ran out of the resturant and made a beline for one of the pirates going after Dogomo from behind. She drew one of her blades to block the prate's strike. She smirked, and pushed the blade away before dragging it across the guy's stomach. "Piece of cake." Between Sena and her crew, the pirates saw that they were seriously outclassed, and a loud cry of retreat blanketed the docks causing all of the pirates left to retreat to their boat.

~Marine HQ~

In General Gilrun's office a small pink looking shell phone begun ringing alrting the general to an incoming call. He reached out to his left grabbing the phone. "What do you want now?"

"WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU PLAYING AT GILRUN!! I THOUGHT WE HAD A DEAL!" The voice yelled on the other end. It was obviously a male's voice. "SOME FAT IDIOT AND OTHERS ARE ATTACKING MY CREW!! YOU WON'T GET YOUR MONEY IF THIS CONTINUES!"

General Gilrun grunted, "Listen up you idiotic fool. At the moment you are very useful to me and my increasng wealth, and trust me. If I wanted you dead you would know."

"WHAT!?!! I AU-"

General Gilrun hung up the phone and called for one of his marines. "Sir!"

"Have a team go out and stop those tourist from disrupting the peace on my island. If they so much as put up a fight then throw them all in prison."

"Yes sir!"

~At The Docks~

"Well that was pretty easy." Sena commented taking a swig from her canteen. She looked up at the. Ship which was still docked. "So who are they anyway?"

Before the answer could be given a loud, "Make way! Make way!" Was heard coming towards the docks. About a dozen marines emerged forming a single line, with the one in the center right stepped forward.

"You four-" He gestered to Sena and her crew, "- Are hereby warned by Genera Gilrun himself that if you disturb the peace of this island again by starting more fights, then we will be forced to arrest you all." Sena frowned, "What are you talking about!? We didn't start this fight! We were just helping Dogomo who was about to be killed by those pirates! Why don't you go bother them instead of us?!"

"Ma'am, if you refuse to stop harrassing citizens and honored tourest of this isla-"

"Honored tourist!?" Sena exclaimed. "Are you kidding me!? They were the ons harrassing the townspeople!" If someone didn't shut Sena up soon then she would once again find hersef in a jailcell.

"Excuse me, can I help you?" a marine officer yelled up to the deck of the ship at the port, a few marines behind him running off to the ruins. "If you're here for supplies or just for a rest, I suggest you make it quick. We don't like scavengers," he finished, glancing at the ruins for a moment, making it clear what he was talking about.

---------------------------------

Damn it, Lily thought to herself, having taken a quick look at the port after hearing some of the closer marines talk about a ship coming into harbor. I can't make it to that ship without being seen. I'd gladly hitch a ride if I could get away with it. I bet my chances would be better with them than these homicidal maniacs that call themselves marines. She was breathing heavily, unable to control it because she had been running almost all day. I'm gonna have to move again soon, she thought, as the marine voices got closer, judging which exit to take. She decided on the second floor window, hoping that they hadn't bothered to cover it, jumping out of it and pelting down the alleyways, hoping to find a new base for a few hours. "There!" "I saw her too!" Why can't I ever get a break?!

The Scarlet Terror placed is hand over Sena's mouth as she was rambling, something Vince would never do. In his voice, his mysterious and sadistic voice that beared no resemblance to Vince's, he said "Very well. We apologize formally to you and your general. You will not need to arrest us for causing another fight, as I quote your very wording. As honoured tourists I'm sure you would allow us to make a complaint in our defence. Does your guard have a bureau for complaints? I feel this situation has been under explained and I feel slightly aggitated that I must bear a cross upon my head without the priveledge of a fair trial. My reputation his quite highly regarded." As the Scarlet Terror finished speaking he glared at the guard through his mask. "And this wounded soldier, if he is called as such, would be our witness. So I do assure you that we will be very civil about this but will not allow this to be swept under the carpet. So I as again, where may I make a formal complaint to your guard?" His glance never strayed from the pupil of the guard.
