Your earliest memories were being taken in by the elite government organization at a young age, saying that you had “talent” or something like that. They trained you, taught you to fight, to deceive. They taught you to win against the various threats that imperiled your glorious nation. You are among elites, and you will not be stopped. In this cold environment, though, you have found solace. Whether through admiration, attraction or attrition, you have gravitated to five others like you, who have been picked up to fulfill a “noble cause.” You are now a group, one that is quickly rising to fame in the world of CARDS. However, you find out that not everything is as straightforward as it seems. There are secrets that the higher-ups in CARDS are keeping from you, about your life and history. And if those secrets come to life, the already-fragile world you live in may come tumbling down.[spoiler=/guidelines.doc]01. This RP will have violence and swearing. Information and digital technologies are part of life everywhere, and forays into the field of induced telepathy, AI and even cloning aren’t uncommon. This has resulted, though, in a large amount of pollution and an increase in the poverty gap: the rich get richer and tend to disassociate from the poor. CARDSAn antiterrorism organization working under the government, CARDS handles the top-secret, bi-end crimes that could seriously threaten society’s stability. Founded in 2060, they are unique in that they don’t let anyone in: instead, they recruit candidates at very early ages and train them until their teens, when they become active members. There are 52 members exactly, each one given a code name of a playing card. (It is considered bad form to use someone’s given name instead of their code name.) Heading the organization are the two Jokers (red and black), who are politicians who maintain the public face of the group. All CARDS members live outside of the main complex, but are required to report there all days except Sunday from 8 to 5. Combat uniforms consist of a tight-fitting grey and white T-shirt with gold accents, loose black pants with knee pads, and fingerless black gloves. These are all made of a reinforced Kevlar-based material that can resist piercing bullet wounds, although you’ll still break a bone. BrittaniaThe nation under which CARDS was founded. It consists of the British Isles (UK, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man) as well as the regions of Normandy and Brittany in France. Brittania has emerged as the leading superpower in this timeline, taking the reign in technologies and industry. However, they’ve ended up heavily contributing to the rising pollution problem as a result. The capital city is still London, where this RP will start.[spoiler=/logistics.doc]There are going to be six characters and six only for this RP, including myself. Each one follows a certain loose “role” outlined below: you may reserve a role for up to three days with your application. No role has a specific “leader” designation: this job falls to different agents over the course of a mission. Like in soccer, a role’s tasks are mutable and can (and will) change. (As a side note, when requesting a reservation, please put down not only what role you'd like, but also what code name.) Infiltrator: The infiltrator is the first one in. They are tasked with setting up surveillance systems and breaking locks and other traps that the team may come across. Therefore, they must have strong hacking skills and a decided creative bent. Taken.Striker (Melee): Both strikers play an offensive role – they go in and clear out immediate threats using speed and force. This striker uses melee weapons, such as swords or polearms. Taken.Striker (Projectile): The same as the melee striker, but instead using projectile-based weapons. Taken.Sweeper: Sweepers are long-range threat eliminators, and therefore usually have scoped weaponry like rifles. They tend to work from a distance, taking out targets that aren’t immediately obvious.Defender: Coming in with the coordinator, a defender is the “tank,” backing up the strikers and sweepers by taking on threats that they couldn’t alone. Her skin is very lightly tanned. She has elbow-length flaxen hair that is naturally curly, but she rigorously straightens it every morning; several strands of her hair are brown, and although Branwen never admits it, her natural hair colour was brown until she rather crudely dyed it blonde (for what reason, nobody knows, and she's definately not going to say why). Her saffron-blue eyes are quite large, but there is no warm gleam in them. Branwen doesn't have a big bossom (she's an A cup) or bottom, and she also lacks curves, so her figure is about as straight as a stick insect.Clothing: Outside of her job, Branwen commonly wears an obsidian-coloured tent dress, the hemline of which reaches to just above her knees. If it is in the winter, she wears a plain long-sleeved shirt and a pair of skinny jeans under her dress. Her shoes also vary; in the summer, she wears white flat slingbacks, and in winter, she has a pair of flat crimson ankle boots. She doesn't wear or own any jewelry. She always carries a small brown shoulder bag, regardless of the season.Personality: Branwen is very intelligent, and she has an unusual passion for taking stuff apart and solving puzzles. She can be a very good companion to have for slightly more high brow conversations, but when she's working, it is best not to interrupt her, as she is a bit of a workaholic, and she will snap at anybody who tries to disturb her. On a similar vein, she can be a tad too devoted, and she has been known to turn very stubborn and will persist on doing things her way. Otherwise, she's quite good at keeping secrets and generally gets on quite well with a diverse range of people.On the flip side, Branwen is anything but trustworthy. She may be good at keeping secrets, but that's because she then tries to use it as a weapon against the person. She has an unerring skill to read people's characters, and combined with her selfishness, she finds nothing more pleasurable than tearing people apart. You could argue she is a bit saddistic, as she enjoys watching the after-effects of destroying people, and she's certainly immoral. She's also fairly greedy and materialistic, and will refuse to part with so much as a penny; she will also keep track of how many favours she's done for people, and she expects them to be repaid. If they're not, she will start to act colder towards whoever still owes her a favour.Quirks: Branwen has a tendency to suddenly do minor things that are very out of the blue and often left unexplained; e.g. she has been known to suddenly start wearing bits of jewelry for several days before throwing them away. She will get shirty with anybody who questions her about her moments of oddness, and it is often best to not even acknowledge that she's doing something unusual. Armory: Branwen uses a highly modified swiss army knife, with black scaling. It is unusually big, being about 5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide, and she uses the Victorinox Cybertools set, but also has attached:-Cinquedea-styled dagger for close-range protection-Mousegun for long-range protection-LED touch screen that functions like a smaller PDA; highly useful for checking on the surveillance systems, for impromptu hacking, and also functions as a portable decoder-Personal minicamera that records her moves, and can also send images as to what is happening ahead-USB flash drive for uploading/downloading data and/or viruses-Spare wires and sellotape for fixing/riging machines-Various microchips-A "one size fits all" rod that supposedly unlocks any locksOne of the major downfalls is that the knife can only offer so much protection, so Branwen has to be very careful as to her every move. The casing is designed to be bulletproof and stab-proof, and has a slight shock absorbtion system in place as well, so as to minimise damaging the tools inside.Skills:-Hacking and programming: Branwen's main skill is her hacking and programming abilities (predictably). She can manipulate ASCII to hack into enemy systems, and then do stuff like putting fake images on enemy cameras, so as to hide what's really happening. She can also create specific programmes for herself and her team to use during their missions.-Gymnastics: Branwen is a part gymnast, and she used to train in using the uneven bars without hand guards. Now, she mainly uses her skills in missions, as it grants her a slightly easier time setting up equipment, fleeing quickly and stealthily, moving silently, etc.-Electronics: Branwen has some knowledge in this field, and she can use it to fix computers, or rig them to other pieces of technology, etc. [spoiler=Jack of Spades – Striker (Aesirson)]Code Name: Jack of SpadesReal Name: Simon ReidAge: 17Gender: MaleRole: Striker (Melee) Appearance: About 6.2 feet tall and with an athletic build, Simon weighs 159 Ibs. His skin is rather pale, but not "basement dwellerish" pale. He has short, slicked and charcoal hair and small eyes with heterochromatia iridum, resulting in his right eye being brown and the left one hazel. He does also have a rather large, clean-shaved chin. The area stretching from his right shoulder down to the end of his back is covered by nasty burns.Clothing: His casual attire consists of a black jacket and a pair of jeans, really. With this he wears sneakers and a pair of gloves. He does also wear a pair of round glasses. During missions he wears a visor instead of glasses.Personality: Simon is not the kind of person many would want as a friend. While he's not mean or anything like that he has no sense of humor, nor does he understand any kind of sarcasm or irony. He knows that he doesn't, though, and sometimes comment "If that was sarcasm I didn't get it." and the like when he suspects that someone is sarcastic or is telling a joke. He's very intelligent, and knows what is right and what is wrong. He would never break a rule, but he would gladly break a bone on someone who deserves it. Ignorance irritates him extremely and doesn't hesitate to correct anyone who makes even the smallest of mistakes, even if it's a very bad situation to play teacher. When it comes to making choices, Simon will go for the lesser of two evils, even if it means the death of a close friend. If the choice is between, as an example, two kinds of food, however, he can think for hours before deciding which one he wants. While he's interested in women, he prefers to not talk about them and doesn't openly show affection to anyone. Quirks: He talks to himself when he's thinking, something that he isn't aware off. It's either this or he stands quite, locking the rest of the world out when he's doing his thinking. Another thing he does is that he always says what he think about something or someone, sometimes resulting in awkward situations. Armory: You would expect a man of Simon's occupation to wield a sword or staff of some sort, right? Instead, Simon uses two Khopesh-like weapons, and also carries a belt of different kind of chemicals which may come in handy during combat, interrogation and such things.Skills: Mathematical genius, he can do any kind of calculations within his head, although this may leave him standing for a while looking dumbstruck. He's also a genius when it comes to chemicals, as he usually use them in combat. He knows how to create the deadliest of poisons and the most efficient of truth serums, to name a few.[spoiler=Nine of Diamonds – Striker (Kyubey)]Code Name: Nine of Diamonds.Real Name: Cadence “Cade” Bell.Age: 17.Gender: Male.Role: Striker. Appearance: Not the tallest of teens, Cade comes in at 5’7” (173 cm) and 147 lbs (67 kg) – however, he’s pretty built in an athletic way, with a strong chest, arms and legs. He has straight chestnut-colored hair, which is cut short with a slight spike to it, and steely grey eyes that seem to be somewhat distracted. Although he is young, Cade seems to be rather tired from his bearing and expressions, especially the bags under his eyes. He has a faint but large starburst-shaped scar on the right side of his pelvis from shrapnel. Clothing: Preferring lightweight clothing above all others, Cade likes athletic gear. His casual outfit is usually a ratty T-shirt over a pair of windpants and beaten-up running shoes, the last of which have a pair of diamonds stenciled on. The closest thing he owns to “formal” is a white button-down shirt and a pair of black khakis, and even those don’t see the light of day that much. Personality: Cade isn’t a person who runs into things. He doesn’t like taking leader positions, instead preferring to sit back and soak in information to know what to do next. Cade likes to observe and process, which makes him seem rather passive at times. However, it’s not like he’s stupid: he’s actually very observant and quick with making decisions. He just doesn’t like the responsibility involved with leading, and his quietness and passivity only support it. Cade’s also rather emotionally guarded. He’s hesitant to let his feelings for things show, because he feels that’s a sign of weakness and that people will base their opinions of him on it. He’s also a stickler for CARDS’ modus operandi of prioritizing apprehension over execution, and will therefore not apply lethal force except as a last resort. This has bit him in the ass a few times before, one of which lead to the scar on his side (which is a constant sore spot), and has given him the reputation of being a bit of a softy. Quirks: Whoever named Cade must’ve been misinformed: Cadence is in fact not a unisex name. Therefore, if required, he’ll always introduce himself as Cade if his code name won’t do. He also is an avid reader in his spare time, and has accumulated a nice amount of library late fees. Armory: Cade solely uses a pair of Smith & Wesson M&P full-size handguns that have been customized to his liking. The lefthand gun has been modified so that the ejection port is on the left side, so that the two can be duel-wielded without much interference. Each one also has a hard metal plate on the butt of the magazines, which can be used as impromptu hammers for close combat. The two are steely grey, with the left one having white detailing and the right one having black. The magazines for each clip hold 15 rounds, and besides the two magazines already installed, he carries six more. Cade uses three types of bullets: standard rounds, explosive rounds, and taser rounds (pellets that release electrical charge). The types he brings on missions vary based on the task. Skills:- Marksmanship: It’s one of the few things to which Cade devotes his time in practice, and thus he’s become very good at identifying weak spots on targets and taking them down with minimum amounts of fuss. He isn’t at the point where he can snipe with a pistol, but with a bit of internal steadying and deep breathing, Cade can reliably hit a target at 300 feet, nearly double the normal range of the M&Ps.- Ambidexterity: Cade is equally skilled at using his left and right hands, which is essential as part of his combat style. He didn’t develop this as part of his training: it was just something from birth. However, he does tend to favor a certain hand for certain tasks – his right hand is more often used for speed shooting, while his left is for precision.- Agility: Being a Striker means that Cade has to be fast on his feet, and although he’s not blindingly fast, he can easily slip past a clumsier opponent to get the upper hand. He can do the 40-yard dash in 6.0 seconds, and has been known to run a mean parkour course. As a corollary, Cade therefore is good at spotting obstacles and knowing how to use them to evade enemies or get closer.[spoiler=Ace Of Spades – Sweeper (Dark Hero Flashman)]Code Name: Ace of SpadesReal Name: Syrus Kalihikialehi (Pronounced: Cal-a-he-ke-ali-he)Nationality: HawaiianAge: 18Gender: MaleRole: Sweeper Appearance: Syrus stands at 5'7", weighing in at about 250lb's worth of toned muscle. His hair, is short, almost buzzed or crew cut, and is generally kept hidden under a hat of some sort, be it a backwards baseball cap or something else. His eyes are not the most standoutish, coming in at a hazel hue, that every so often, in the right light, look more green than brown. More often than not, he can be seen with something hanging out of his mouth while aming, be it a toothpick or even down to a loli-pop stick of which he just hasn't thrown out yet. His skin is tan, not dark tan, but lightly bronzed, prefering time in the sun and outside rather than in the cold hard cement or bricks of buildings. Clothing: His casual clothes are always a pair of either blue or black denim jeans with a leather belt around the waist, black biker boots, even though he does not own a motorcycle, and a loose t-shirt, generally is either grey, black or white depending on his mood. On his arms are two leather bracers that covers his forearms and protects them from the recoil of his weapon. They also help hide a few scars from a training accident a few years ago. Though he has both eyes, he wears a black patch over his left eye for no real reason. Perhaps it is to look some what intimidating, but no one really knows. Personality: Syrus can be a jokester when he wants to be, but knows when to get to business. FInding that humor is the spice of life, he will always try to lighten the mood of his fellow team mates, and make them relax, or at least try to anyways, before a big mission. As stated, he knows when to be serious as well, and will try to keep a level head in situations that call for it, but let's be honest, not everyone can be calm, cool and collected as thouse heros we see in movies. Sometimes, generally if provoked, Syrus can have quite the mouth on him, and this generally leads him into confrontations that a smarter person would have seen coming a mile away. Quirks: He has an oral fixation, and most of the time, needs something to chew on or he grinds his teeth, be it an old toothpick, or a piece of gum, or even a used loli-pop stick, there always has to be that sensation of chewing for him. He also sufferes from slight Restless Leg Syndrom, and will bounce one of his legs, doesn't matter which one really, if nervous or has been sitting too long. Armory: Like most snipers, Syrus' weapon is in pieces, but each one can more or less turn into it's own weapon if needed. The body of his gun looks like a regular pistol, but the handle can detach, revealing a switch blade inside that if need be, is used for close confrontations, though is very rarely used. His scope is standard, nothing too fancy about it. When all of the pieces of his gun are together, there is a nasty kick back when fired, causing any skin that is touching any part other than the trigger to be scalded a bit from the metal overheating. Syrus' forearms have learned this the hard way. Skills:Syrus is a near crack shot, being able to hit moving targets fairly easily. Stationary targets can be bulls-eyed with very little to no effort. He is also fairly skilled in mathematics, often talking to himself when lining up a shot, in incohearant blabble to anyone not really understanding what he is thinking. This often causes problems over comunicators if he is focusing his attention on the enemy. He also has a knack for disassembling weaponry, figuring out its quirks and where it needs improvement, however, this skill generally tends to occupy him to an exponential amount and can often be lost in thought and research for hours if given the time, but he finds it to be a great use of his time.[spoiler=Two of Clubs – Defender (Battle Fenrir)]Code Name: Two of ClubsReal Name: Kayle DuboisAge: 18Gender: FemaleRole: Defender Appearance:Kayle stands at 5’8 with blonde hair reaching her shoulders, hazel eyes, light skin, and a very athletic build. She weighs in at the average weight for a girl her age, or at least that’s what she claims. Considering her athletic build, well-toned abs, arms, and legs, she could weigh a bit heavier. Outside of that there’s nothing unusual, she does usually keep her hair in a tight ponytail to avoid difficulties in the EXO-F91. (She’s also a C-Cup, just sayin’) Clothing: For casual cloths she prefers a simple white tank top with jeans and tattered, military style boots. She also sports black fingerless cloves, and it’s also not entirely uncommon to see her with a leather jacket and a plaid shirt. The Clubs symbol can be found on the back of her jacket, and on her gloves. Personality: Kayle is quiet but not meek or shy, she responds when spoken to and can get very aggressive if pressured. She’s also very loyal to her team and CARDS, while she comes off as tough or even scary, deep down she’s actually very concerned with everyone. She doesn’t want to become a liability to her friends and co-workers, thus she works very hard in doing her job as a Defender. In combat she is aggressive, fearless, and very, very threatening. Yet it is easy to get under her skin, and if one were only to do a bit of trash talking, they would find that she gets mad fast. Kayle is actually mentally unstable due to long exposure to the EXO-F91, and the engineers that regularly maintain and study the suit say that she could go off at any minute; where at first CARDS wanted to equip the suit with as much weaponry as possible, they’re now stripping it down to a very basic form in case Kayle were to ever go off during a mission. While the mental instability is not obvious at first, it becomes obvious after the dreaded Six Minute Mark during combat. After six minutes of action, Kayle becomes much more aggressive; caring less and less about the mission objective and her teammates. Quirks: In terms of quirks, Kayle has an issue with her figure and constantly wonders if she’s working out enough. She does this not only out of self-esteem, but also because she does always need to be physically prepared to handle the suit. She also does not react well to embarrassment, often physically abusing anyone who would dare to embarrass her. Armory:Kayle's 'signature' armament is an Exoskeleton unit. EXO-F91, or her 'suit of armor' is her main method of doing her job. It's made of a dark grey metal, which covers the entire armor besides the visor, which is a pure white. Its legs are thick and like the majority of the armor, plated. On the backside of the legs are miniature personal boosters, which allow her to 'hover dash' for a few seconds. She only hovers an inch or so off the ground, nothing great. The arms of the suit are especially thick, two piston like poles extend out of the elbow portion. The gauntlets have 'lines' running across them, which light up to signify if they're powered or not. The head of the suit is V-shaped and pointed backwards, with two tubes coming out under the 'spikes' of the head. The tubes lead to the backpack unit on the back, which can provide oxygen to Kayle if needed, powers the majority of the suit, and also possess two stronger boosters that allow Kayle to effectively, 'ram' targets. Her gauntlets are her main weapon; it can take power from the back unit to disperse electricity in close range, or overheat itself to 'melt' the enemy. (at the cost of her gauntlets being unusable.) The large pistons that start from the elbow can be loaded, allowing the gauntlet to act as a pile bunker, blasting holes and denting metal like nobody's business. The part of armor that starts from the gauntlet and continues to the elbow is also wide enough to be used as a protective shield, if needed. The weakness of the exoskeleton should be obvious; it's large, clunky, fast but not mobile, it also requires a lot of energy to power it up. Using up energy as you go will lower its capabilities, which means the exoskeleton is to be used at the proper moment. There are also plenty of negative side effects to the user, the largest and most dangerous being the mental instability it causes with continuous use. It should also be noted that the backpack unit doubles as an air conditioner, since the insides of the suit can get extremely hot over time. In the case of a pilot meltdown, the suit’s built in AI activates. Granted, it must be done by the commanding officer in the situation, or in CARDS case, the Coordinator, who must activate it if the safeties of teammates are threatened. The AI is extremely simple, only capable of moving the suit and raising the bunker arms to defend the suit against anymore damage. At that point, the pilot’s actual arms are restrained inside the suit. The interior of the suit is awkward, as it is hollow to accommodate the user. If one were to dissect the suit, one would find that the pilot’s legs end at the suit’s knees, and their hands end at the suit’s elbows. Contrary to popular belief, the user’s head is just barely below the suit’s head. It opens up by removing the backpack unit on the back, thus powering the suit down completely. As if it were shedding it’s skin, the user can exit the suit through the back by pushing it open with their backs. Specifics: -Height: 8’2-Weight: 1,550 lbs To summarize: Pros:-Capable of lifting objects up to two times as heavy as itself.-Bunker arms are capable of extreme single target damage.-Built in boosters allow for the exoskeleton to reach impressive speeds.-Arms capable of shielding.-Heat&Shock Gauntlet capabilities. Cons:-Low mobility, meaning bad turning.-Bunker arms require being loaded before use, and to build up necessary power for it, the exoskeleton is required to stay still for a second or two.-Easy to overheat/overextend in terms of energy use.-Backpack unit is an obvious target for attacks.-The mental strain the suit causes means that it can not be used for long periods. Note: It can be taken apart for maintenance/transportation reasons. Skills: Destruction: Quite frankly put, Kayle is good at destroying a lot of things. Kayle takes the time to study most equipment and technology, just so she knows how to break it in the fastest way possible. In the end, the less time she takes to break something, the more time her team has to complete the objective. Chaos&Crowd Control: What would you do if you saw a hulking figure of metal just charging it's way towards you? Would you keep your gun aimed down the sight? Hell no. Chances are you would get the hell away from that thing that's coming at you, which is something Kayle can force spectacularly. Whether it's a distraction or the enemy just needs to be confused for a second, all it takes is to run at someone and/or throw a piece of metal. Now let’s flip the coin. Another thing Kayle is good at is keeping the enemy in their position. While it's true that her mere presence could potentially spook the enemy into retreating, she can also keep them in place by posing as an immediate and direct threat. Not just that, but her various tools built into her exoskeleton can be also used to keep the enemy in place. Heavy Machinery Handling: In keeping with the job, Kayle can handle various large machinery should the need ever arise. She’s also quiet skilled at driving, stating that she wanted to become a racer when she was a child. She’s also somewhat of a technical mechanic, being able to repair simple problems with common vehicles. (This OOC is merely a trial. So far, the traits I can glean are intelligent, devoted, suspicious, and sadistic. Two or so more traits should do the trick.- You can make her a bit sturdier and not so waif-ish, y'know. It's almost expected, given that all members of CARDS need to be able to fight.- Infiltrators should have more of a hacking and security-breaking emphasis, which I'd like to see in her weapon.- You should add one more skill. Apose has long wavy brown hair down to his mid-neck covering much of his forehead. Sitting at about 190 lb and 6'1'' he is very muscular but not overly so giving him a relatively normal appearance. Apose almost always has a faint smile on his face, he him self isn't sure whether its that he is happy or if it merely a subconscious action. His face is near perfect with gem blue eyes, not covered with the scars that plague the rest of his body. Thus he prefers long sleeves and jeans to hide them. Clothing: Apose wears casually a pair of blue jeans and a white-tee and wears some form of formal shirt just as a white button up (when worn with tee it is unbottoned used as a light jacket) or jacket its self. He tends to not wear the uniform even in formal settings unless specifically asked to as he says its rather ugly and uncomfortable. Personality: Apose has lived in the world of Cards for as long as he could remember only having deva vu about a time before on occasion. He trys to forget the past before because it if forsaken and while he might casually try to rebel he is a rule follower. In an isolated world of training and discipline, it has been hardwired into Apose to preform at the best of his abilities to receive praise. Apose's number one fear is failure just for this reason, the many years have worn into him and imprinted in his soul. Failure means uselessness which means abandonment. Apose fears that too. Though on the outside Apose is the ideal solid warrior. Apose cursed with the so called "noble cause" has become the end of search. His social skills are first-skills also refined through training able to switch from Arms Dealer to close friend to traitor with no remorse and flawless transition. His hardened mental standing allowed this, no matter what the job entitles as long as he succeeds there is no problem. As a result Apose always plays the cards well, when new people are presented he is quickly able to be friendly and social to create new friends and trusts that he sees as resources in him mind, as well as mercilessly destroy them should that time come. Because Apose is dependent on his standings with others he is extremely vulnerable to rejection. Every for Apose comes down to the need to be useful to his masters, the CARDS. And he is blindly loyal. Quirks: Has a rather fond taste for Rich, Foriegn, and Expensive Foods. A fancy tongue for good food and can't resist when it presents its self often rejecting poor tasting food even when it would be considered polite. Armory: Apose wields a large armored glove that extends to the mid-part of this upper right arm made of several plates of scaled hardened proto-type cyber-steel, a self learning metal that forms and configure its self. In the hand area the fingers are sharpened to a point and come together into a spike that can penerate light armors easily like bullet-proof vests. The metal arm can expand into a large body shield immune to medium caliber bullets, which Apose uses as defense for comrades and should Apose need cover, usefully made in powerful combination with a field weapon such as gun to allow Apose to fire from safety, which while not well versed in gunplay has basic training in most weapons. The metal arms use of defense and offense made it perfect for use on the defender. Fat cells ahoy!)- His quirk isn't a quirk: it's more of an addendum to his personality description. His hair, is short, almost buzzed or crew cut, and is generally kept hidden under a hat of some sort, be it a backwards baseball cap or something else. His eyes are not the most standoutish, coming in at a hazel hue, that every so often, in the right light, look more green than brown. More often than not, he can be seen with something hanging out of his mouth while aming, be it a toothpick or even down to a loli-pop stick of which he just hasn't thrown out yet. His skin is tan, not dark tan, but lightly bronzed, prefering time in the sun and outside rather than in the cold hard cement or bricks of buildings. Clothing: His casual clothes are always a pair of either blue or black denim jeans with a leather belt around the waist, black biker boots, even though he does not own a motorcycle, and a loose t-shirt, generally is either grey, black or white depending on his mood. On his arms are two leather bracers that covers his forearms and protects them from the recoil of his weapon. They also help hide a few scars from a training accident a few years ago. Though he has both eyes, he wears a black patch over his left eye for no real reason. Perhaps it is to look some what intimidating, but no one really knows. Personality: Syrus can be a jokester when he wants to be, but knows when to get to business. FInding that humor is the spice of life, he will always try to lighten the mood of his fellow team mates, and make them relax, or at least try to anyways, before a big mission. As stated, he knows when to be serious as well, and will try to keep a level head in situations that call for it, but let's be honest, not everyone can be calm, cool and collected as thouse heros we see in movies. Sometimes, generally if provoked, Syrus can have quite the mouth on him, and this generally leads him into confrontations that a smarter person would have seen coming a mile away. Quirks: He has an oral fixation, and most of the time, needs something to chew on or he grinds his teeth, be it an old toothpick, or a piece of gum, or even a used loli-pop stick, there always has to be that sensation of chewing for him. He also sufferes from slight Restless Leg Syndrom, and will bounce one of his legs, doesn't matter which one really, if nervous or has been sitting too long. Armory: Like most snipers, Syrus' weapon is in pieces, but each one can more or less turn into it's own weapon if needed. The body of his gun looks like a regular pistol, but the handle can detach, revealing a switch blade inside that if need be, is used for close confrontations, though is very rarely used. His scope is standard, nothing too fancy about it. When all of the pieces of his gun are together, there is a nasty kick back when fired, causing any skin that is touching any part other than the trigger to be scalded a bit from the metal overheating. Syrus' forearms have learned this the hard way. Skills:Syrus is a near crack shot, being able to hit moving targets fairly easily. Stationary targets can be bulls-eyed with very little to no effort. He is also fairly skilled in mathematics, often talking to himself when lining up a shot, in incohearant blabble to anyone not really understanding what he is thinking. This often causes problems over comunicators if he is focusing his attention on the enemy. He also has a knack for disassembling weaponry, figuring out its quirks and where it needs improvement, however, this skill generally tends to occupy him to an exponential amount and can often be lost in thought and research for hours if given the time, but he finds it to be a great use of his time.
