Yugioh: Fusion of Worlds: Fall of the Crimson Dragon [Accepting in OOC thread]

"One moment, please." Aporia said, his eyes flashing gold, white, blue, and back to his natural red as he spoke before closing his eyes and retreating into his own mind, mentally communicating with the Emperors inside his soul, "We are in agreement." Aporia said, his eyes their natural color, "The standing orders of every vassal of the Sun Queen are to recruit more soldiers to her 'great and noble cause' and to kill the Signers and Moon King. Were I to show up in her presence without proof of your death, I would punished." He shivered, his eyes again flashing between four colors, "You do not want to know what the Sun Queen's idea of punishment is."

"I may not be an alarm clock, but I am a sentient creature that doesn't require sleep and thus gets bored out of her mind when she has nothing to do for seven hours." Ivy told Dan through the door of his closet.

Mark saw the barrage of attacks flying towards Luisa and knew that there was only one card in his Deck that could stop them all and save Luisa's life. "Quilla, please forgive me for what I am about to do." He said in a whisper as two Blizzard Lizards leaped out of his Duel Disk, headed straight for the HERO Duelist, being absorbed into a galaxy shaped spiraling portal, "These two Monsters will open up the portal to the Overlay Network. Xyz Summon! Leviathan Dragon!" As he chanted and the number 17 appeared on the back of his palm inside of his moon tattoo, a large six winged blue Dragon flew towards Luisa and wrapped its wings around her, cocooning her without ever laying a single scale on her while Vaggelis' Monsters' attacks were dissolved into nothingness, including the attacks of his own Xyz Monsters. Meanwhile, Mark fell to his knees, having deflected the damage from those two Monsters to himself with Astral Barrier.

Seeing their target climb up the fire escape, the two boys stopped in their tracks and silently Summoned one Monster each. Caleb's Monster, Morphtronic Slingen in Attack position, aimed itself two feet above the figure's right arm while Chris' Monster, Wind Up Soldier, pulled himself back as far as he could on Slingen's string and launched himself, Slingen having led the target so that the green Warrior was now aimed right at his ankles, reaching out with its clamps extended to grab onto him.

As the figure continued to climb, a sudden tug on his ankle caused him to almost lose his grip on a railing. The figure turned his masked face to look at the toy-like figure that had clamped itself onto his ankle. Beginning to panic, the figure attempted to kick off the Wind-Up Soldier, all while being careful not to let his grip on the railing slip.

"HEY! Get offa him, ya overgrown nursery toy!" Shouted Burglar, waving the claw on his arm at the Wind-Up monster.

A portal opened up in the center of the field being generated by Vaggelis and deposited Umbris, Sorcerer and Alexander.

"We're back where we started?" mused a confused Umbris. "I don't get it, I thought you were trying to--" The Neo-Spacian turned to look at Alexander, as if to get an explanation for the lombax's way of thinking, only to see that Alex was giving a surprisingly sharp glare in the direction of Mark and Leviathan Dragon. "Alex?"

"Umbris," Alexander spoke up, seemingly having ignored Umbris' questions, "copy Absolute Zero's effect and wait for my signal." Scanning the area, he called out, "Luisa, are you alright?"

Luisa snapped out of her fright-induced trance at the sound of her former teacher's voice. "Yes, Mr. Abernathy! I'm right here!" she called out through the scaled wings of Mark's newly summoned monster.

"Good. Now make sure you don't make any physical contact with that monster protecting you!" Despite sounding relieved, Alexander's face was still in a frown as he continued to stare at the Moon King.

"I had no choice." Mark told Alexander, struggling back to his feet, his breath ragged. He didn't open his eyes, but the glow from beneath his eyelids was nevertheless shining through, tinged a faint red by his blood vessels, and presumably as vibrant as the almost blinding light coming out from his palm while every fiber of his being resisted control by the Xyz Monster, "He was going to kill her..." He panted, falling back to his knees and stabbing his Duel Disk into the ground to act as a makeshift crutch, his Life Points reading exactly 300 thanks to an Elemental Recharge he chained to Astral Barrier, "I need someone to help me up and find my glasses." His words were slow and even, as if he didn't dare let a single emotion into his voice, while he slowly reached into his back pocket and pulled out a pair of black gloves.

As the figure struggled, the twins each played a second Monster, Morphtronic Boardon for Caleb and Wind-Up Bat for Chris. Both were flung at the man in short order, with Bat fluttering around his head and otherwise being a nuisance while Boardon switched to Defense position and lodged itself in the fire escape just above the boys' target.

Vaggelis was quite surprised by the Moon King's selfless act, not to mention his use of the Xyz monster, but he guessed something like this would have happened. "Well!" He said. "I have no more dakka, it seems. All gone!" He took a few steps back. All his monsters were gone, destroyed, and it would take a while to recover their physical spirits. "And so I surrender. Good-bye." His form then flickered for a moment, before disappearing entirely.

However, one of his monsters still remained. The one that had been lurking in the shadows, circled around the battlefield, and like a ninja managed to get to the other side without getting discovered, Gorz.

Gorz had no chance to attack Luisa with the Xyz monster protecting her, at least not risking itself from getting revealed. Instead, it gazed upon Mark the Moon Kingfor a moment, and then suddenly a Signer appeared. Now Gorz had a tough choice. Should he get rid of the Moon King? Or the Signer? Gorz was impossible to detect, as it had become one and the same as the shadows around it. It took a moment to decide who, whether it should strike the Signer or the Moon King.

"So you are joining us? That's great. The more help the better." James spun his d-wheel around then looked back to Aporia. "Now if you don't mind, I have a duel to watch, if it's still going on."

Dan opened the door to his closet and stepped out with jean shorts and a plain red t-shirt on. "Yes, and I'm a human who needs more than seven hours of sleep to be in prime conditions for the day." He let out a yawn. "So, since you want to do something, what do you have in mind?"

Travis LP: 8000
Austin LP: 4000

Travis drew another card, as he looked directly at the fortress behind Austin, smiling. "I activate 'A Legendary Ocean'! This makes your mountain disappear and the ocean to take over!". Austin shivered, as he watched his mountain crumble underneath them, and a splash of tidal water consuming the streets, as Austin was waist deep in freezing cold. "Now, I summon The Legendary Fisherman in Attack Mode!". A fisherman sprung out of the water, riding on a orca, as he wailed a battle cry, and held his spear to his chest. "Next, I activate my Continuous Spell Card, 'Majestic Tides!'.

Majestic Tides
Continuous Spell Card
Activate only if you control a face up "Umi" and 1 WATER monster. Once per turn, you may draw any number of cards equal to the number of WATER monsters you control. You may not declare an attack this turn if you use this effect.

"And I use it's effect to draw 1 card, and then I end my turn."

"Mister Abernathy, is Mark alright?" asked Luisa from behind Leviathan's wings, trying to get a better look while making certain not to touch the dragon.

"Yes, Luisa, he's okay," said Alexander in a clear, certain-sounding voice, in spite of his inner doubt. Looking around along the ground, the lombax spotted the sunglasses that Mark had requested, just a few feet away from were the Moon King knelt. Sensing his master's intent, Sorcerer of Dark Magic picked up the shades and handed them to Alexander, who carefully placed them on Mark's face.

"... I truly hope you know what you've done, Mark," Alexander whispered, barely audible except to the Moon King. "I wish to not have a friend become an enemy right before my eyes... and I sure as hell know that Luisa doesn't want to lose you, too; she's almost lost Wildheart, and you've seen how that's affected her." Alex looked Mark in the face, his eyes focused on where his eyes were hidden behind the sunglasses which reflected the lombax's expression of disappointment and sadness. "Mark... ... please, don't give up...."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Having been thoroughly frightened by what were essentially over-sized children's toys, the cloaked figure huddled into one corner of the fire escape landing, violently shaking as he covered his head with his hands before whimpering hysterically.
"Aw, great!" snapped the rat-like Burglar as he looked down over the railing at the two boys who had caused this. "Now lookit whatchu did, ya overgrown rugrats! He's paralyzed with terrah! Shame on ya!!" he shouted as he waved his claw at them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Meanwhile, back at the ruins of the Realm of Light, Wolfram, having regained control, began to pick up the cards that "Fenrir" had carelessly thrown to the ground. As the Lightsworn duelist busied himself with this task, the unconscious Darklord Zerato began to stir. Turning his attention from the card he was prepared to pick up (Wulf, Lightsworn Beast), Wolfram looked toward Zerato. "I'm surprised. I would have imagined that you'd be unconscious for a few more hours."

The Darklord gave off an agitated, guttural growl as he picked himself up from the ground, supporting himself on one knee. "You... fool," he said in-between gasps, "... did you... honestly think that... I would allow you... to get away...?"

Wolfram blinked as he heard this. "You mean you never had any intention of letting me leave if we won?"

""Leave"?" Zerato scoffed. "Let you leave... and anger Lord Wulf? No... I still have... one option." Zerato slowly reached out his left hand toward his sword. "Lord Wulf... shall not... be denied--"

"I'm afraid that will not be necessary, Zerato."

Wolfram gasped as Wulf suddenly appeared standing behind the kneeling Darklord. The former Lightsworn looked down upon his associate, disappointment in the glow of his red eyes. "... there will be no further need for you here."

"Milord?" Zerato gasped as he attempted to get to his feet.

"Stay where you are," Wulf hissed, his tone icy and emotionless. "You've not only lost your duel against Wolfram... or should I say "Fenrir," Wulf said with a glance toward Wolfram, "but you also intended to break the morals of combat and harm him after the fact."

"But I--!"

"Do. Not. Look at me," Wulf growled. "I have given you a second chance at life, and this is how you repay my kindness?" At this, Wulf drew his sword, Zerato tensing up as he heard the metal scrape against the inside of its sheath. "... it saddens me that I must now do this," Wulf softly spoke as he prepared his weapon. "Wolfram... please look away."

At a loss for words, Wolfram first looked into the eyes of Darklord Zerato, who stared back with what appeared to be a look of fear and horror. As he held this gaze, Zerato's expression slowly changed, from tense, wide-eyed terror to a more relaxed look of resignation. Zerato took one more deep breath before closing his eyes.

At this point, Wolfram could no longer look upon Zerato. He swiftly turned his head to the side just as the sickening sound of metal piercing flesh reached his ears....

"I'd much rather stay out of this," Aporia admitted as he followed James on his own D Wheel, "But as of now my options are join you or die. Not a very difficult choice to make." His eyes flashed white again, "And besides, Grannel, Skiel, and I almost destroyed this city once before. If it wasn't for Life Stream Dragon and his partner, we would still be as insane as we were back then, we owe it to you to help in whatever way possible."

"First things first." Ivy told Dan, assuming her natural Magicat form, "You don't have any cats in your Deck whatsoever, and if I'm to be your Duel Spirit, I can't have that."

Now that Mark's glasses were back on, he finally opened his eyes, the bright white light shining through despite their heavy tint, while he slowly put his black gloves on, "Alex, if you saw the things I've done, you'd know full well that this pain doesn't even measure up." He told the Signer, "My darling sister thinks that she can she can torment me with a simple Dragon? I've killed more Duel Spirits than I hope I'll ever remember. Their dying moments will haunt me until the day I die." He held up his gloved hand, the number 17 appearing as plain as if he had never put the glove on at all, "This right here? Nothing but background noise."

"Yeah, right, Rat boy." Chris said as the twins moved towards the fire escape on their D Boards, "We've seen what that big guy can do. He wrecked our dad's client's D Wheel, so now Drake has to work through the night to get that thing fixed up without falling too far behind on his other projects. If he's this scared of a few of our cards, I don't think he would be able to talk to someone as freaky looking as you."

"Then don't let her win," Alexander said directly. "That's all I ask." As he spoke, Alex placed a card into one of the Spell/Trap slots of his Duel Disk. "You may want to prepare a Trap," Alex continued in his barely audible tone. "I get the feeling that His Royal Pain-in-the-Place-Where-the-Sun-Don't-Shine may have left us one more parting gift...."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"FREAK?!" shouted Burglar, almost wanting to toss his claw down at the twins. "Da only freak I see here are th' two of you scrawny half-pint pieces of--!!"
"STOP!" the cloaked figure gasped out in between sobs. "J-j-just... s-stop. Mmmmmmake it s-s-s-stop, please...." The figure was shaking so violently that the bars of the fire escape began to clatter. Even the "Moja" mask that hid his face appeared distressed now. "I... I just... want to g-g-go h-h-h-h-home...."
Meanwhile, back in Nurse Reficule's facility, Jenis scurried frantically through the poorly lit halls, desperately attempting to keep as much distance between herself and the Fallen Nurse. In her haste, she slammed face-first into a metal door, bouncing off with a loud reverberating sound. Stumbling backward, she landed bottom-first onto the damp, tiled floor. The scent of copper assailed her nose, prompting her to check her nose and forehead for any bleeding. At first she was relieved to find that she herself had not sustained any wounds, but her relief just as easily vanished when she realized why the floor was damp.
Hastily picking herself up from the blood-soaked tile, Jenis half-instinctively looked around for the source of the blood, perhaps to help whomever was injured. She could faintly hear a soft groaning coming from one of the rooms close-by. "H-hello...?" she whispered out as she cautiously pushed open the door to the room. Light was close to non-existent in this particular room. Hurriedly, Jenis began to blindly fumble for a lightswitch to the right of the doorway. Eventually she succeeded in bringing light back to the room, but the sight that awaited her eyes soon made her wish she had not.
In the center of the room, suspended by cables and wires connected to the ceiling, hung a figure that might have been human at one point; a wolf's head seemed to have been grafted onto the neck of the "human", while the rest of the figure's body had sporadic patches of thick hair, as well as what appeared to be a skeletal tail hanging from the figure's backside.
Barely able to breathe as she looked upon this... thing, Jenis subconsciously took a few steps closer, not fully willing to see if this creature was even animate, much less alive. Now a mere foot away from the specimen, Jenis, seemingly against her will, slowly reach a hand up to the creature's "face", her fingertips just an inch or two away from it's nose. To her utter horror, the creature suddenly let out a loud, drawn-out moan as it arched its spine back, its bleeding, clouded eyes outstretched in pain. "HheEeEEeElp mEEeeE...!!!" rasped out the monstrosity, trying to reach its shackled hands to the terrified Lightsworn Mender. Despite a part of her actually wishing to comply to the monster's agonized wish, Jenis's feet allowed her to do nothing but scramble out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
Vaggelis looked at himself. "My form is weakening." He muttered. He was standing by a tree, a tree which looked like it was slowly turning into rubber and stretching. The grass itself below his feet swirled around him like flying spaghetti, all the while growing thinner. "Oh well! La la la~" The grass and the trees suddenly stopped stretching, and Vaggelis pressed his hand against the tree. He seemed a bit surprised that he could feel again, but let it be. He stepped away, turned, and looked up into the sky.
"It's going to take a while to bring back all those souls I sacrificed, and also the ones destroyed by the enemy, but they'll forgive me, they have no choice~" He muttered. He preferred talking to himself rather than thinking. His mind wandered off to his other plan, the plan he had made the very second the Signer escaped. And then something occurred to him."Wait, where's Cosmo Queen?"
- - - - - -
And indeed at that moment Mark's shadow manifested into Gorz, who had decided that the Moon King would be a greater threat. Soundless and swiftly, it struck, aiming to have the upper part of Mark's head sliced off.
- - - - - -
Cosmo Queen got up, her attire ruined. Without her crown, it revealed rather short, untidy bluish hair. Many people assumed she was just a spoiled brat, but nobody knew the horrors she faced while confined inside her own castle, turned into a gigantic prison. She drifted forward, walking. She was actually a formidable foe, even with her galactic power stripped away eons ago. She watched as Wulf finished off Zerato, his servant, but wasn't bothered. She was once a million times more cruel, and still was - somewhat.
She was too weakened to fight, and all the Equip Spells her master had placed onto her had been broken, so she did not attempt in the least to combat. Instead, she observed the scene, trying to figure out a plan. It did not occur to her that her master's invisible chains had been broken.
Travis LP: 8000
Austin LP: 4000
Austin stared into the ocean water, enraged at the destruction of the fortress he once had called home. "I'll boil your ocean and you too, sea scum! MY MOVE!". Austin jutted his hand from the top of his deck, smiling just looking at it. "I Normal Summon my Phoebe, Titan of Moon, and Synchro Summon my Krios, Titan of Stars!" A giant in a ram horned helmet arose from the water, solemnly standing to the side of Austin.
Asteria vanished into the sky, Krios shed a tear, waving goodbye to the fellow Titan as the ocean water around the two duelists ankles diminished and were escalated into the sky again.
"And I activate my facedown, Monster Reborn! My Pheobe is back, and I Synchro Summon with Krios to bring out Tethys, Titan of Ocean!".
A beautiful blonde woman arose from the ocean, in a bright white dress covered in oysters and seaweed, carrying a glowing blue trident.
Wolfram's heart seemed to stop, an almost frigid numbness washing over him. The sound he heard told him what he knew, and yet his courage was not there to allow him to see the aftermath, the fate that had just befallen Darklord Zerato. His breathing had become shallow, and all the while, one word was frantically being repeated over and over in his head: "Why?" Why was Wulf doing this? Why had he done what he did? Why... why....
With what little courage he had drawn up, Wolfram began to slowly turn his head to face forward again, his neck almost creaking in his ears from having gotten stiff. Expecting to see the lifeless vessel of the now-twice-fallen angel, he was both relieved and shocked to find that Wulf had removed his own cloak and draped it over what was once Zerato. Wolfram soon locked eyes with the former Lightsworn himself, the smallest glint of remorse almost nonexistent in the wolf's glassy red eyes.
"... ... are you alright?" were the first words spoken by the Forsaken Wulf after a few seconds of silent eternity.
Taken aback by this sudden display of genuine concern, Wolfram, in a dry, cracked voice, replied, "... h-... how do you expect me to respond to that...? After... after what you... you just did...?!" The Lightsworn Duelist's eyes were outstretched open, his brows seeming unsure whether to express confusion or anger.
"... ... you have a point."
"What. The. Hell!?" Rhykotsu watched more in irritation as Knight of the Red Lotus was offed in one blow. "That's cheating you bi-" A large, bright flash of lightning interrupted him. "...uh.." The Snow-White ruflfled through his deck. "Monster Reborn." Out came Red Lotus. The Gemini Soldiers had survived. "That's kind of sad. I was offed; the people I was supposed to save, survived." He commented. The small army looked over at Cosmo Queen. "..maybe we could take with her? Ask her about the incoming darkness." He said as some of his own monsters started wandering around; the Dragons disappeared, and D.D. Warrior Lady called off her friends.
"I'll check around." Future Samurai said as he started away.
"Uh, I'll go look at what Zeratos and that one guy are doing." Dark Valkryia said.
Phoenix Gearfried and Evocater Chevalier followed Rhykotsu as he approached Cosmo Queen. Before they got within earshot, however, Phoenix Gearfried commented, “All of that power came from equip cards. Kind of a cheap way to win if you ask me.” Both Chevalier and Rhykotsu gave him their best ‘you damn hypocrite’ face before they continued on. “I was never really that good at asking questions, uh, hey, you. Who are you-” “Cosmo Queen.” Tuned Magician, who appeared out of nowhere, answered. Rhykotsu blinked, looking at the female; he was still getting used to the fact that she was a girl.
"How do you know?"
"I know a lot of Normal Types, since they're actually somewhat viable in Gemini decks."
"Okay. Well, Cosmo Queen, can you please tell me what the eff is going on?"
D.D. Warrior Lady walked over to Rhykotsu, saw that Cosmo Queen was somewhat near, and unsheathed her sword, pointing it at her. "Oh, oh, wait. Uh, Warrior Lady?" Rhykotsu gently tried to put her sword arm down. "Peaceful means are better...it's worth a shot." He said. Warrior Lady sheathed her sword, but kept her hand on its hilt, just in case. Meanwhile, Dark Valkyria was looking at the scene of Wolfram and Wulf. She let out a low whistle. "Man, people are so dramatic these days. Hey look, uh, duelist guy. I could get my duelist to fix Zeratos, if you want." She obviously felt the tension between betrayed duelist and betraying monster, but it was always worth a shot to try to tone it down a bit.
-Idiots. The only reason why Red Lotus was capable of being revived was because I the Cosmo Queen didn't really properly destroy him - just seal him in another dimension. Like what 4Kids does. The idiot children Duel Spirits who are new to the card game of Duel Monsters which Pegasus created, which with cards like Monster Reborn made them fooled into believing that any monster can be revived just like that - NO! It was much more complicated. What children.- was what Cosmo Queen wanted to say, but didn't. She just stared.
Mark snapped his fingers as soon as his shadow morphed into Gorz, "Leviathan Dragon, Vise Stream!" He snarled as his Xyz Monster roared and fired a stream of blue energy at the Emissary of Darkness. "Hello, Gorz." Mark said, turning around and backing away from the behemoth, "Alexander, please get out of the way, I don't really know what's going to happen when I Detach one of my Blizzard Lizards, but I'm pissed off enough to try and find out." As soon as the lombax Signer was a safe distance, the Moon King snapped his fingers and rotated his wrist ninety degrees, signalling Leviathan Dragon to absorb a Blizzard Lizard, which caused the Vise Stream to grow 25% larger in diameter. "Interesting..." He mused, "A pretty standard attack boost for every detached Monster. I can work with this. Welcome to the family, 17."
"Oh quit your crying and get down here." Chris said, sighing, "The only place you're going is the police station. You can't go around wrecking peoples' property and expect to get away with it."
Gorz's attack had failed. It was sent flying by the Xyz Monster's attack, but as it was wisps of darkness appeared to dance around it, and when Gorz hit the ground, the wisps gathered and materialized into the form of a female version of Gorz wielding a sword: an Emissary of Darkness Token., a soulless token that only obeys. The Token had embodied the pain from the Xyz monster, though Gorz knew it wouldn't be able to do that a second time. While its orders were to return to its master, it decided otherwise, and observed the situation.
The Leviathan Dragon could absorb an Overlay Unit and rise in power; simple, but dangerous. Not to mention it attacked at long range. Gorz and Kaien were both short-range fighters. In the card game, this wouldn't have affected much since only ATK and DEF mattered, but this was an actual battle. Gorz's aim was to take the Moon King's life, but with the Xyz Monster in the way that would prove difficult, and if it absorbed a second Overlay Unit, even Gorz itself wouldn't be strong enough to damage it, which was why speed was of the essence.
All this consideration taken before a moment's pass. Gorz worked out a simple plan: send the Token to distract the Xyz Monster, then strike it when it's off-guard. In the event that this failed, it had a more complicated backup plan. All of this, gambling that their opponent would be the Xyz Monster alone. The Token charged towards the Leviathan Dragon, while Gorz itself blended with its shadow.
Alexander did have a trap prepared to take out whatever threat would show up, and was close to activating it the moment he witnessed Gorz materialize behind Mark without warning. Umbris, however, pulled the lombax out of the way as soon as Mark called on his dragon to counterattack. Meanwhile Luisa managed to slip through an opening in Leviathan's protection, again being extra cautious not to touch the dragon.
"Miss, what are you doing?" called out Absolute Zero, still speaking in Gantala's voice.
"Getting out of the way!" yiped the HERO Duelist as she made a mad dash toward Alexander, a surprising feat to perform in platform boots. She even ducked under Leviathan's breath attack as she soon began to stumble and crash into the lombax, the two falling down amidst a duet of their screaming.
"OW!" Alexander yelped as he yanked his tail from under the half-Latino girl's bottom. "Luisa, you do realize how dangerous what you did was? Granted, it was quite the spectacle, and personally I find myself a bit proud of you for doing that, but still--!"
"I know and I'm sorry," Luisa blurted out as she picked herself up from the asphalt, "but I can't just... sit by and do nothing!" As she said this, she pulled out the Equip Spell "Magic Blade - Ice Sword" and threw the card toward Absolute Zero; the instant the card touched his hand, it immediately summoned the frozen claymore into his grasp. Absolute Zero then proceeded to charge at Gorz and his soulless puppet, all the while being powered up further by Leviathan's presence.
"I agree," replied Alexander as he gave a nod toward Umbris. "I activate the Spell Card, Negative Energy Generator! With this, Neo-Spacian Umbra Panther's original Attack power becomes tripled ((1400 x 3) + 1250 (due to copying Absolute Zero) = 4200 + 1250 = 5450)! Now, make my monster GROW!!!" Umbris began to grow three times his size as dark energy crackled around him, his eyes giving off an ominous orange glow.
"... no way is that legal," Luisa muttered as she craned her head up to stare at the gargantuan Umbris, who gave off a rumbling growl as he glared at Gorz.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"WHAT?!" screeched Burglar. "That guy who was driving ran US over! If anything, you should be taking HIM IN--!!"

"Okay! O-o-okay, I-I-I-I-I'll come d... d... down," the cloaked figure yelled over Burglar's protests. "J... just... ... tell your mmmmmmmmonsters t-t-t-to stop ha-ha-harrassing me...." With that, the figure took a leap over the railing of the fire escape, falling about fifteen feet down before landing feet-first onto a dumpster beneath him, all without suffering any damage from the fall.

"Wait, you're just gonna give up?!" yelped Burglar as he, too, jumped down. Unfortunately, he fell into the open side of the dumpster, splashing garbage onto his friend and the two children.

"... I... I don't want... want to c-c-cause pr... problems...," answered the cloaked figure as he hopped off the dumpster.

"Yeah, well," blurted out Burglar as he resurfaced from the week's-worth of discarded table scraps and other things that could not be described in full detail without earning this poster a warning, "th' minute dat da po-po see you, they' gonna send you to the city zoo instead! You're gonna get laughed at!" he added as he flicked off the banana peel hanging from his nose.

Of course, Gorz's gamble just HAD to fail. Honestly. But it didn't change a thing. Gorz took complete control over the female Token, leaving its own essence body inside the Token's shadow for the time being. It made ninja-esque movements and ducked around the Absolute Zero and Umbra Panther monsters, still charging towards the Xyz monster. The goal was to have the Token take the Xyz monster's force, and then have Gorz attack it while its guard is open, thus destroying it and leaving the Moon King (....just a bit more....) defenseless.

 • 2 weeks later...

As the Token swerved around Gantala Zero and Umbris, the former was wreathed in blue energy that took the shape of a serpentine dragon. A stream of energy then shot from him, Quilla, and the three Ice Barrier Dragons straight into a crown that had appeared on Leviathan Dragon's head, who was further strengthened by absorbing the second Blizzard Lizard Overlay Unit, increasing Leviathan Dragon's ATK to 5000 and bringing its DEF from 0 to 2000, "Vice Stream!" Mark called, causing Leviathan Dragon to emit a stream of energy more than twice as large as its initial attack aimed directly at Gorz' Token.

As Burglar was complaining, Morphtronic Boardon switched to Attack position and whacked the rat thing on the back of the head.

"Hey, rat freak, you need to shut up already." Caleb said, recalling his Duel Spirits and walked towards the cloaked figure, "We're not going to turn you in, promise." He told the figure. "Mr. Drake really doesn't like cops, so he'll probably just hire you and make you work off the cost of the D-Wheel that you broke. Besides that, having another employee that can legally work the machinery would really come in handy." He looked over at the rat spirit, "You should probably shut that half pint up though."

Gorz had anticipated this. Which was why it just had to deem the Leviathan Dragon impossible to kill. It sent the Token straight forward, and before the final blast obliterated it, it emerged out of the Token's shadow, and propelled itself forward using the Token's body, which was at that moment obliterated by a stream of powerful energy. Gorz took the opportunity to fly by the Leviathan Dragon, and landed behind it. It didn't pause one moment to lunge forward at the Moon King. If this failed, it didn't matter, as it still had a backup plan. One final backup plan. If that failed, then of course, well, it would be obliterated. Soon, its master would recover its spirit give it form again, though.

"Hey, Gorz..." Mark said as the Fiend went in for the kill, "That crazy bastard you work for isn't here anymore, right?" Gorz had just ducked behind Leviathan Dragon at this point and was within twenty feet of Mark, "Probably in the human world by now..." Ten feet, "Tell me how long it took you to get back there." Mark said as Gorz closed the distance and his bladed arm was met by a smaller blade from a purple/blue penguin, struggling against the blade briefly before being knocked back with a cute sounding 'umph' and activating its effect to bounce Gorz back to Vaggelis' hand. "God, that guy is a pain in the ass..." Mark said as Gantala Zero picked up the little Penguin Soldier and fed it some curry, "Sorry about that, little guy." Mark said to the little Aqua-type, "First time I've used you since I was a kid and you get put up against that monstrosity. And guess what?" Penguin Soldier looked up, still sipping some curry, "You kicked that guy's ass into another universe." Penguin Soldier finished off his curry and proceeded to throw himself at Mark, evidently overjoyed by his accomplishment.

"Aww, so cute...!" Luisa squeed as she watched the Penguin Soldier eats its curry. Alexander nodded in agreement.

"Uhh, hello...?" Echoed a booming voice from above. "Anyone gonna help me get back to my normal size?" Alexander and the others looked up to see that Umbris was still as tall as a skyscraper; apparently, the effects of Negative Energy Generator had yet to wear off. "And hurry up! There're Sonic Birds buzzing around my head and they're not the friendly sort--OOOWW!" His yelp of pain seemed to echo for miles as the flock of Sonic Birds proceeded to badger and peck at the enormous Neo-Spacian's face and ears.

"... yeah, I should fix this," Alexander mumbled as he rummaged through his Spare Deck. Finding the Spell Card he was looking for, Shrink, the lombax tossed it into the air, where it suddenly propelled itself higher, leaving behind a trail of green light as it circled around Umbris's gargantuan frame. As this was happening, Umbris began to feel himself lose vertical altitude as he slowly but surely returned to his normal height....

"... Alex, I should kill you." To the Umbra Panther's annoyance, Alexander's Spell Card had overdone its function, shrinking him to the same height as Mark's Penguin Soldier.

"Don't blame me, blame the card," Alexander retorted. Luisa, meanwhile, seemed to be having a field day, scooping up the miniature Neo-Spacian and cradling him like a kitten.

"Luisa, please don't baby me, okay?" Umbris began to object. "I mean, I can understand if I were in my Chrysalis stage, but still...," was all the Neo-Spacian could say before he trailed off as Luisa began to gently stroke his furry head. "... on second thought... ... I guess I could... ... get used to this...," Umbris mumbled, blushing a bit before purring.

The lombax chuckled at the spectacle that Umbris was making of himself before turning to Mark and Gantala Zero. "You feeling alright, Mark?" he asked right before something else caught his attention. "... wait... is that who I... ...?"

Off in the distance, Alexander could see two figures approaching: one was humanshaped, the other was quadrupedal. The quadrupedal figure had green, tiger-like features as well as what looked like tree bark covering its limbs. As the two figures got closer, Alexander could make out the features of the human; blonde hair with green highlights, a green and brown jacket-vest, and a DuelDisk on his left arm. The familiar human gave the group a friendly wave.

"Nathaniel!" Alexander gasped out in shock. Luisa overheard Alexander's exclamation, saw who he was referring to, and without warning dashed toward the Naturia Duelist, tossing Umbris screaming into the air in her haste. Umbris fell right into Alexander's outstretched arm, a look of confusion and slight disappointment visible on the Neo-Spacian's face.

Luisa nearly knocked Nathaniel over as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Oh my gosh, Nate! I'm so happy to see you!" Luisa squeaked out, practically grinning from ear-to-ear.

"Heh, I'm glad to, uh, see you, too," Nathaniel replied, somewhat taken aback by this sudden display of affection. He was about to return Luisa's smile when he noticed that her smile was replaced by a look of frightened anxiety. "Something wrong...?"

"OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH--!" Luisa chattered in a shrill, frantic voice, wide-eyed, her face losing most of its color.

"Luisa, what's the matter?" a concerned Alexander asked the hysteric Latina. Luisa quickly whispered into the lombax's large ear; upon hearing Luisa's reason, Alexander eyes also grew huge. "OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH-OMYGAH--!"

Umbris promptly swatted the lombax across the face to quiet him down. "Chill out, it's not that serious--GAH!" was all Umbris could say before getting tossed in Alexander's panic and landing in Gantala Zero's arms.

"We're sorry! Very, very sorry!" Chanted Luisa and Alex at the same time as they got on their hands and knees, begging for forgiveness.

"What for?" asked a perplexed Nathaniel.

"They must be referring to leaving you behind at the meeting place," said Verde the Naturia Beast.

"Oh, is that all?" Nate turned to his classmate and the former professor. "Look, you don't have to apologize to me for anything. I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation to why you guys had to leave our meeting spot."

When Nathaniel said this, Luisa immediately ceased her apology-chant, her expression changing to a more solemn one.

"... you're right... there is an explanation...."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Uhh... you guys sure 'bout dat?" Burglar asked upon hearing the offer for work. "I mean, my buddy 'ere's never actually picked up a wrench in his life--"
"I...I th-thank you," spoke the cloaked figure, "... but I-I'm afraid I c-c-can't. I just... want t-t-to go h... home. B... besides...." The figure trailed off as he reached his hands up to his mask as if to take it off. As he placed his hands on either side of the mask, the melancholic face of the mask blinked by itself. Soon, the cloak began to retract and gather toward the "mask" until it formed a roundish, furry "blob". The figure lowered the Moja from in front of his face to reveal animal-like features; a black tipped nose, pointed furry ears and watery blue eyes.
"... ... I... don't think your b-boss would em... employ someone wh-wh-who looks like m...me."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
It was so close! Whatever Gorz's final backup plan had been, it was rendered obsolete because of this. It had been planning on something else, not Penguin Soldier. Dammit, a fatal miscalculation. With a curse, it was sent all the way into another dimension, unable to do anything about it. It had no idea when it would reach the other dimension and end up in its master's hand. To pass the time, it whistled.
------------
"How much longer do I have to wait?" Vaggelis muttered to himself.
He had begun wondering when his Gorz the Emissary of Darkness and Cosmo Queen would return. He was getting impatient. Not to mention his Spirit Reaper was taking a lot of time to gather up and recover all those Dark monsters he had sacrificed. He walked about impatiently, stomping his feet. Not twenty meters away, there were a lot of cameras focused on him, and soon he'd end up on an article in the newspaper. His manager was trying to push past the group of ninjas photographing and videoing him.
Ignoring Cosmo Queen, Wulf looked over to Dark Valkeria. "... I'm afraid reviving Zerato would be pointless now. He offered his soul to darkness, and now that darkness has claimed his soul as its own. You could revive him, but he may not return as he once was." Wulf then pointed his sword at Valkeria. "Now, leave at once, and mind thy own business from now on." Wulf bent down to retrieve his cape from the ground, revealing that Zerato's body had vanished within the past few minutes. "Wolfram, I...," Wulf began to say as he adjusted his cape. "... hmph, who am I kidding...? You hate me right now... don't you?
The Lightsworn duelist remained quiet, unsure of how to answer the Forsaken One's question.
"... I won't blame you if you do," Wulf continued, "believe me, it pains me to have to commit these acts. But you must understand, I am doing this for the sake of our world's balance."
Further silence from Wolfram.
Wulf heaved a sigh. "... I'm not sure why I'm explaining this. Like I would expect you, any of you, to understand. Fear not, you shall see the truth soon enough." Wulf turned on his heel, pulled out a Dimensionhole card from one of his pockets and activated it, opening up a portal to his private quarters. "... at least... I hope you can see the truth... Wolfram...." With that, the Forsaken Lightsworn made his leave.
As Harpie Queen finished her attack, Jasmine knew it was game. "Cyber Harpie, attack Mother Spider, Birdface, attack Voltic Spider, and the two Harpie 1s attack for game." Each harpie swooped into the air, then dived at their target.
"Then follow me." James said, driving back to were Aporia had stopped him before, hoping that Jasmine would be near by. Guess me and Jasmine jynxed it by talking about how quiet it had been around here. He chuckled to himself before looking ahead.
"NO!" Dan yelled, the sound of his voiced echoed through the halls near his room. "I'm not adding more cats to my deck, considering they will just not work with my Gadgets." he turned his head away from his duel spirit.
