James was able to stop his d-wheel before hitting Singlus's monster. Gale disappeared from James's shoulder as the d-wheel came to a stop. "You again?" He looked back to Jasmine, who had also stopped her d-wheel in time. He turned back to Signlus. "Let's just cut the talking and get strait to dueling. Seeing the d-wheel, I assume you want to make this a turbo duel? Or did you just bring your d-wheel to show off?"

Jasmine looked to the front door of the limo to see who the driver was.

[color=magenta]Ilana simply smirked as her Life Points dropped to 2200, "Your final Trap, eh?" Ilana said, a mocking smile crossing her lips, "So, you concede the Duel then? Because last I checked, I still had more Life Points than you, but apparently you're all out of Trap cards, or are you just so stupid that you think that one direct attack is all that it's going to take to make me run screaming?" She turned back to her sludge form and split into two halves, one forming into Vicky again and the other forming into Blue Rose Dragon, "My, my, my." She said in Vicky's voice, "We have a spectator in this game too. How fun."[/color]

[color=blue]Mark looked at the card that he drew and froze when he read its effect, "I..." He hesitated and locked eyes with Alexander, looking at Marcus Fenix as well [i]Tara, you're up to your old tricks again.[/i] He thought, remembering his baby sister's childhood habit of slipping cards she thought they might need into his and Drake's Decks without their knowledge, [i]You gave me this to add in the temptation to play your Dragon...[/i] He let out a forceful breath, "None of us should hold back, right?" He asked, activating his card, "I Activate Synchro Reversal, Banishing one Synchro Monster in my Extra Deck to search my Deck for two non-Tuner Monsters whose combined Levels are equal to the Level of the removed Monster." He closed his eyes, "I Banish the Level 6 Moon Dragon Quilla in my Extra Deck and add the Level 3 Blizzard Lizard and Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier to my Hand. Then, I'll Normal Summon both my Monsters using Grunard's effect and..." The Moon King growled as he was hit with flashes of the damage he caused when under Tara's control, "...I end my turn..." He growled, visibly pained by the returning memories.[/color]

[color=crimson]"I must admit, it would be preferable, since my driver and I aren't exactly on decent terms. Or, really, any terms, and because my Machines only want your blood, not Jasmine's." Singlus said, getting on his D Wheel, "Besides that, it appears that she's otherwise occupied for some reason that my Machines and I can't be bothered with right now." The Professor's Duel Disk locked itself into place and his engine revved to life again, the streets automatically lighting a path to take them to the highway, making very few detours do to the lateness of the hour, "James, Head Signer and owner of Stardust Dragon, on behalf of the Machines resting in my Deck, I challenge you to a Duel." He scoffed, "You never did get my name, by the way." He said with a smirk, "My, my, my, won't you be surprised when you hear it for your own ears."[/color]

James turned to Jasmine. "Don't worry," he said to her. "You'll do fine." She nodded and James took off after his opponent. "So, I guess I'll take the first turn then." James took his land dueling deck out of his duel disk then placed it in the deck box on his belt before reaching into another deck box on his belt, pulling out his riding deck, and placing it in his duel disk. [i]Speed World 2, set on. [/i]James's d-wheel said. "Draw! I summon Blackwing Shura the Blue Flame in attack position and end my turn."

[color=#A9A9A9]"My turn, now!"[/color] Wolfram declared as he drew his next card Looking at the card brought a grin to his face. [color=#A9A9A9]"I discard from my hand "Joshua, Lightsworn Architect"! Joshua is a "Field Searcher" who allows me to add one "Realm of Light" from my Deck or Graveyard to my hand, then afterwards sending the top three cards of my Deck to the Graveyard."[/color] Wolfram's Duel Disk ejected the "Realm of Light" card from his deck, which he added to his hand before the Deck was shuffled. He then sent three cards from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard (Jain, Aurkus, and Garoth). [color=#A9A9A9]"Next I summon Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner in Defense Mode (1000/[b]1000[/b]). Then I discard one card from my hand to activate Lumina's effect and Special Summon Garoth from my Graveyard ([b]1850[/b]/1300). Now I play my Field Spell Card, "Realm of Light"!"[/color] As he placed the Field Spell Card in the Duel Disk, the surrounding area was changed from the streets of HERO City to the pearly-white columns of the Lightsworn's home world.

[color=#A9A9A9]"I enter my End Phase, and trigger Lumina's effect, sending three cards to the Graveyard (Chrage of the Light Brigade, Silver Fang, Glorious Illusion), then Garoth's effect activates, sending two cards to the Graveyard, then letting me draw one card for every Lightsworn sent to my Graveyard in this manner (sends Wulf and Ryko to the Graveyard, then draws two cards). Since Wulf has been sent from my deck to the Grave--"[/color]

[color=#FFD700]"Wulf gets Special Summoned, I know!"[/color] Luisa blurted out as a second Wulf was summoned to Alex and Wolfram's Field. [color=#FFD700]"My turn!"[/color] she declared forcefully as she drew her card. [color=#FFD700]"I activate Miracle Fusion, which allows me to Fusion Summon an Elemental HERO by banishing the required Fusion Materials from the field or Graveyard. So now, I banish Destiny HERO Dasher and Geomancer of the Ice Barrier to Fusion Summon Elemental HERO Absolute Zero!"[/color] The air around the Duel Field suddenly became cold as Absolute Zero burst forth from a block of ice ([b]2500[/b]/2000, 4000 ATK due to Absolute Zero's effect). [color=#FFD700]"Now, I'll attack your newly summoned Wulf with Freezing At the Moment!"[/color] Absolute Zero thrust out his hand toward the Lightsworn Beast, who was instantly flash frozen in a glacier of ice, which suddenly exploded (A & W LP: 2000). [color=#FFD700]"I now end my turn!"[/color] Luisa declared, a burning fury blazing in her eyes in spite of the chill in the air.

[color=#FF0000][i]"So, Umbris' plan worked...?"[/i][/color] Alexander thought as he drew his next card. [color=#FF0000]"I Normal Summon Junk Synchron from my hand! ([b]1300[/b]/500) Next I use Junk Synchron's effect to Special Summon Ryko from the Graveyard! (200/[b]100[/b]) I now tune Level 3 Junk Synchron with Level 2 Ryko and Level 3 Lumina![/color]

He asked James, shaking his head, "You're not exactly making it a secret that you have Kalut in your hand. Hell, the only thing you could have done worse was throw out a weak Monster, but that's just obvious baiting. My Machines are offended. Turn end."[/color]

[color=blue]"When Blizzard Lizard is destroyed by battle, it inflicts 300 points of damage to my opponent." Mark told Alexander as his Beast exploded into three icicle spears that flew towards the lombax Signer, dropping his Life Points to 1700 while Mark's and Luisa's went to 3300. The Moon King looked at his and Luisa's side of the field, [i]All we have is Bladedge, Absolute Zero, and my Shock Troops. They're already down to 1700, but Marcus' effect will increase his attack whenever he battles... Absolute Zero can easily destroy him though, unless one of their face-downs increases their Monster's attack, and even then I still have Alexander's Signer Dragon to contend with...[/i]He looked at his Extra Deck, which still contained Tara's gift of Leviathan Dragon, [i]If I can resist being possessed by her card, Luisa and I can win this Duel this turn...[/i] He took a steadying breath and finally drew his card, "I activate the Spell Card of Demise, allowing me to draw until I have 5 cards, but then at the fifth standby phase after this card's activation I have to discard my hand." Mark proceeded to draw five cards and smirked, "I Summon the Level 3 Tuner Monster Defender of the Ice Barrier." As another WATER Monster appeared on the field, Absolute Zero's ATK jumped from 3000 to 3500. "Then, I Tune my Level 3 Defender with my Level 3 Shock Troops! The first spear descends upon the world in a raging blizzard! Synchro Summon! Freeze the world, Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier!" A serpentine Dragon appeared on the field in an array of frost and Absolute Zero's ATK dropped down to 3000 again, "Then, I'll activate Brionac's effect, discarding four cards from my hand to the Graveyard to return Marcus Fenix, Red Dragon Archfiend, and both your team's face-downs to their owners' hand, or in Red Archfiend's case your Extra Deck." Mark's four remaining cards were absorbed by Brionac and turned into four icicle spears that were fired at the aforementioned cards, "Now, Elemental HERO Bladedge and Brionac, attack Lumina and Garoth! Absolute Zero, attack Alexander and Wulf directly."[/color]

"At least I didn't leave my field completly open to bring out Gorz." James chuckled. "My turn, draw!" He looked in his hand to see Kochi the Daybreak. [i]That would be goood, lettign me go strait into Stardust Dragon, but I'm sure he has something to stop my Stardust. [/i]"I discard Sirrocco the Dawn to Special Summon Dark Grepher from my hand in defense. Now with Dark Grepher's effect, by discarding one Dark monster, Kochi the Dawn, I can send one Dark monster to the grave from my deck, Vayu the Emblem of Honor. Now Shura, attack his face-down monster." The blue bird swung it's claw at the face-down card.

[color=crimson]Mr. Singlus' face-down Monster was flipped face-up and was briefly revealed to be the combined version of Machine Emperor Wisel before the illusion shattered and revealed it as a smaller Monster that still bared a great resemblance to the Emperor. The Machine was apparently destroyed in a large explosion, though when the smoke cleared, it was revealed to still be standing having been protected by another robot, apparently created from a World War I era fighter plane, "I Activate the Trap Card Fake Explosion, preventing my Mech Lord Soldier Wisel's destruction and Special Summoning Summon Reactor SK from my Hand." Wisel and SK both took their places, SK flying above him ready to fire upon James given a moment's notice, Wisel taking a defensive stance in front of the ex-Professor, though his stub arm was held at the ready, as if daring James to let him attack. As the Signer saw the weakened Machine Emperor standing in front of the man he once considered an ally, if not a friend, Yusei's memories inside his head stirred slightly and flashed back to the first time the Signer saw the original Wisel being Summoned, and James was met with the thought that he and Singlus must have seen each other before their first meeting at Duel Academy.[/color]

"Aren't you cocky then. Of course I don't think that one attack will be enough to stop you, but as the duel stands, you have 600 life points more then me, neither of us have any cards in our hands or any face down spells or traps, and the only monsters on the field are both mine, one with 2800 ATK and one with 1600 ATK. And you can't special summon either, thanks to Kristya's effect." He saw her change into an up to date form of his sister, complete with her duel spirit and looked around, already realising that he wasn't the one who prompted that change. Vicky strode forward, as her presence had already been revealed by the shapeshifter, and said, "So, you realised I was watching, though taking my form isn't very original." Turning to her brother, she said, "Jesse, do me a favour and beat this copycat, she annoys me." Jesse turned to her too, "I never had any intention of losing, but kindly stay out of it, I'll talk to you after the duel." Vicky stepped back, watching him again, but without trying to hide her presence this time. Looking back around to his opponent, he said, "My turn is over, please take yours so I can beat you quicker."

She told Jesse, "After I slaughter you Lovers, you should really consider joining the Sun Queen's army. It'll be fun." The Shadow Droid drew her card and smiled again, "I Activate Pot of Greed, and if you don't know this card's effect by now, well, you're a moron." Her smile grew again as she saw the two cards her Deck provided her, "Now, I'll activate Mystical Space Typhoon to get rid of your Burden of the Mighty, which by the way is a real pain in the ass since you got rid of Ignis, and then I'll follow that up by Summoning Laval Warrior in Attack position." A Monster of solid rock holding two magma axes appeared on the field in front of her, "Now, Laval Warrior is just a brutal Monster. When I have four or more Laval Monsters in my Graveyard," Lavalvals Dragoon and Ignis, along with Laval Lady of the Burning Lake, Tender of the Laval Volcano, and Laval Coatl, the latter of whom was silently moved to the Graveyard by Ilana with Tender's effect, appeared all around the Duelists, "As I do, obviously, whenever he destroys a Monster by battle, he deals damage to you equal to that Monster's ATK." Ilana, still appearing as Vicky and Blue Rose Dragon, started giggling madly with both her bodies, "Now, Laval Warrior, destroy his Arcana Force VI - The Lovers and win me the Duel." The Monster nodded and, with his left hand axe, sliced the Fairy in half, where it was promptly absorbed by his right hand axe, which he proceeded to throw at Jesse like a tomahawk.[/color]

[center][center][color=#4b0082]"What the hell...?"[/color] Umbris uttered out loud as he looked into the sky. Alexander, sensing this in spite of being on the the receiving end of what could possibly be the knockout punch, also looked up to see what looked like a floating stone temple in the sky.

[center][center]The temple in question (which Umbris immediately recognized as the Sanctuary in the Sky), seemed to be floating rather close to the earth. The sight eventually vanished, along with the Vision of Realm of Light, much to the NEX'd Neo-Spacian's confusion. [color=#4b0082]"Huh? What was that all about?"[/color] He looked back down to the Duel Field, toward Luisa and Mark's side first. Luisa, seemingly in spite of herself, was giggling about something. Umbris raised an eyebrow, to which Luisa pointed across to Alex and Wolfram's side of the field. The sight made Umbris understand what Luisa found amusing and laugh a bit as well; both the Lombax Signer and the Lightsworn Duelist were frozen within giant blocks of ice, the comical look of surprise and shock on their faces being equally frozen.

Most of the Lightsworns presently there had been incapacitated, with only Celestia and Gragonith still standing, though barely.

"Signers!" Vaggelis said. A dark portal resembling the CoD in Kingdom Hearts appeared, and Vaggelis walked out of it, appearing near Alexander, Luisa, Mark, Wolfram, and the others, whatever they were. "Um, only one Signer. . . and now that I'm here. . . what was I planning to do again. . .?" He quickly caught himself."Greetings! I am the [i]Almighty Duel King of Almightiness, [b]VAGGELIS!"[/b][/i] He declared, and did a pose, before noticing something. "I suppose I came at a bad time, but that's OK, I guess. I AM THE LORD OF TERROR! FEAR ME, AS I DESTROY YOU ALL! . . . 'Kay?"

[color=blue]Mark couldn't help but smile as he walked up to Luisa and offered her his hand, "Smart move throwing Absolute Zero onto the field." He told the Hispanic girl, "I'm going to have to throw one of those in my Extra Deck." He stopped talking and turned around as Vaggelis made his introductions, "Yeah, hi, go away I really don't feel like kicking your ass, OK?" He said, waving off the Duel King like he were a child, "Go find someone who cares Mr. 'Lord of Terror'. Seriously, the Hell kind of name is that anyway? I mean, I'm the King of the Moon, so I guess I'm a little biased but dude, your title sucks."[/color]

As the monster was flipped, visions from Yusei's memories flashed before his eyes. [i]Machine Emperors!? Those again? I thought I saw the last of them at Duel Academy. [/i]Unable to do much else, James said, "I end my turn with a face-down card." [i]Perhaps thing will become more clear as the duel continues.[/i]

Dan was awoken by the lights from the duel lane and the sound of two d-wheels coming close. He slowely moved towards the window. "Who in the right mind would have a duel at this time?" As the d-wheel's passed, all Dan could see was a robot, a bird-man, and a human-like figure. "No need to worry about it now that they've passed." He got in bed and rolled over so the light from outside wasn't in his eyes.

[color=#FFD700]"... is this guy for real?"[/color] a perplexed Luisa asked in regards to Vaggelis.

[color=#A9A9A9]"He's certainly an, er... interesting fellow,"[/color] said Wolfram.

[color=#FF0000]"Yeah, well--"[/color] Alex began to say before the sound of a fart was thrown in, followed by a small explosion that engulfed him and the Heat Duo in a large smoke cloud.

[color=#4B0082]"Gah! Who cut the frikken' cheese?!"[/color] blurted Umbris as he fanned the air. Once the smoke settled, Alex was revealed to have been released from his block of ice due to the explosion, but was now covered from head to toe in soot, his clothing damaged and the tuft of his tail having been lit on fire. The Heat and Lady Heat, both also covered in black ash, were less than amused.

[color=#FF8C00][font=comic sans ms,cursive]"Why the hell would you let one rip?! Especially since you knew we were defrosting you with FIRE!!"[/font][/color]

[color=#FF0000]"I'm sorry! I couldn't hold it in!"[/color] Alex said in a whiny voice, trying to plead his case. Dusting himself off, he extinguished the fire on his tail before saying to the "King of Terror", [color=#FF0000]"You'll have to excuse us, Mister, um... Vagisil, was it?"[/color]

[color=#4B0082]"Not correct,"[/color] replied Umbris, [color=#4B0082]"but who cares?"[/color]

[color=#FF0000]"Okay... well, anyways, we just finished a duel and we think there might be something going on with the Sanctuary in the Sky. Long story, but I'm afraid that's not going to leave us much time to play with you, so "Cheerio's" and all that British slang,"[/color] Alexander said as he walked away, attempting to pay Vaggelis no further mind.

[color=#A9A9A9]"Alex, that wasn't even close to correct,"[/color] said Wolfram as the only actual British person around.

[color=crimson]Mr. Singlus' and James' Speed Counters went up to 3 as the professor drew his card, "Hm... Perfect." He said, "I Summon Trap Reactor - Y FI in Defense Position and switch Wisel into Attack position." The redhead's two Monsters were joined by a third Machine, this one with airplane wings for arms and three gun turrets, two on its chest and one on its head, "Now, SK, destroy his Shura the Blue Flame! SK Cannon!" As his Machine flew towards the Blackwing, Singlus accelerated ahead of James, "Your move." He told him as his three Machines moved back to their positions.[/color]

As soon as Dan turned around to face away from the light, he was greeted by a small white cat sitting on his bed, meowing softly and shivering as if it were cold and hungry.

"Wha. . . .wha. . .?" Vaggelis muttered as his pride was hurt. [b]"Wha. . . what. . .?"[/b] He paused for a moment,and his face darkened. For a moment, he just stood there. "My title sucks. . .? You. . . . [i]you. . . . [b]YOU. . . . . [u]CAN [size=5]NOT[/size] just simply throw me aside! I'm like, a being of primordial darkness![/u][/b][/i] You can't. . . I am the Duel King! The most powerful duelist ever!" For a moment he looked at his shoes, before looking back up. "I have an idea that will get your attention." He then took a deep breath before chanting.

The darkness who holds the End in his hands! Rise, from the other side of penultimate destruction! Rise, and purify the insects as I call your name! As Vaggelis chanted, a massive spiral portal galaxy-themed appeared in front of him. Two orbs of darkness appeared and moved about like wisps, before diving into the portal, and then for a moment the area they were in was showered in darkness, blocking all vision. For a moment, there was a physical being of absolute terror within the darkness, but when the darkness faded away, Vaggelis took the Xyz card off his Duel Disk and put it back into his Extra Deck before he could let them find anything about the Xyz card other than its name.

With his effect, I can bring back a level four or lower Blackwing from my graveyard back. I pick Shura. Now I synch my Blizzard and Shura together. Synchro Summon, Bladed Bird, Blackwing Armed Wing. Now I'll attack your Summon Reactor with Armed Wing." The bird pulled out a blade and horizontally sliced towards the monster.

[color=crimson]Singlus activated one of his other face-down cards as soon as James brought back Shura, "I Activate the Continuous Trap Card Discord, preventing both players from Synchro Summoning for three of my turns." The Trap Card flipped open and sent out two soundwaves at Armed Wing, rewinding time for it until just Blizzard and Shura were on the field.[/color]

The cat wouldn't stop shaking even as it crawled into bed, mewing softly, as if trying to tell Dan that it probably couldn't wait until morning.

Wolfram was about to join Mark and Alexander in facing down the Duel King, but Jenis's gasps of pain grabbed his attention. [color=#A9A9A9]"Jenis, what's wrong?"[/color]

This negates all trap cards for this turn, so I can still Synchro Summon Armed Wing. Now I'll attack your Summon Reactor." The bird slashed at the monster.

Dan jumped out of bed, walked down-stairs, went in the fridge, got the milk, pour some into a bowl, brought it up-stairs into his room, and set the bowl on the floor by the foot of his bed. "That should be enough to hold you over. Now leave me alone." He jumped back in bed and burried his face into his pillow. [i]I'm to kind...[/i] he thought to himself.

"Ahahahaha!" Vaggelis laughed. "I am afraid that I AM a major concern!" Then, behind him appeared SEVENTEEN powerful monsters, all of them shrouded in darkness except for Dark Armed Dragon, Purgatory Dragon, and Dark Highlander. "I work for your sister, yes - however - I'm using her for my own benefit! See, let me put this straight, [b]I am the Most Powerful Duel King To Ever Enter Existence![/b] And I [i]do[/i] have the power to back myself up." Then after that, a ring of darkness shrouded the surroundings, leaving only the floor visible.

Vaggelis took out a card and epically threw it into the darkness, but then it just reappeared from the other side of the ring of darkness , and probably would have sliced his neck off if he didn't catch it with his other hand, again in an awesome manner. "I will make this clear once, and ONLY once! You have hurt my PRIDE! You have whisked me off as just another mook, a mook who's so unimportant that it wouldn't change the plot if he didn't exist! But believe me when I say that [b]I AM NOT AN ORDINARY MOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!"[/b] Of course, he was consumed by himself when he began talking, as he usually is, and ignored anything his audience was doing. He paused for a moment as he had run out of breath, before regaining his stance.

"There, I think I'm done. How about all of you duel me at once, a classic four-on-one? I mean, I'm not about to let you guys leave until I have my revenge and all, and I'm quite sure that 80% of my power is enough to crush all of you." Then he paused again, and sighed. "Really. . . . OK, my anger's faded, but I'm still not going to let you all leave." He continued. "You're all staying here unless you can [i]A. beat me in a duel.[/i] Or just, you know, [i]B. attack me physically with your army of dragons and kill me[/i] or something, but I assure you that Option B is hopeless."

Jesse ducked the flying tomahawk, saying, "I guess I've been AXED from this duel then, she managed to BURN away my luck." Vicky turned around and started to walk away again, Blue Rose Dragon floating behind her, saying,'"You are a moron sometimes, and still not worth my time, goodbye Jesse." With that said, Vicky walked off further into the distance, away from him. Jesse turned back to his recent opponent and said, "I still don't know your name, mind telling me who you are, and maybe also who the Sun Queen is, and why she needs an army."

[color=crimson]Singlus sighed and triggered his second to last face-down, "I really hate using this card so early, but I can't just let you destroy my Monster and think I won't do anything about it. He said with a smirk, "This card allows me to change the battle position of your Armed Wing, throwing it in Defense so it can't attack."[/color]

Dan's new houseguest happily lapped up the milk and, when Dan was sound asleep, got up on two legs and walked over to where Dan kept his Duel Disk at night and started looking through his Deck and Extra Deck for something.

She told Jesse, offering him her hand, "The Sun Queen, my dearest Tara, is the keeper of one of the two Incan Dragons, in her case Inti, that have been oversaturated with the powers of the Crimson Dragon, who gave your sister the Mark on her arm, and the King of the Netherworld, who has basically tried and failed to wipe out mankind for the past few years, only to be stopped by the Signers, though your sister is a much newer addition to their number. Tara, on the other hand, just wants to take all the hatred and strife out of this world. That's why she needs followers, to help her with her goal, and because what kind of Queen doesn't have followers?"[/color]

James sighed as his monster changed into a guarding position and turned blue. "Fine, I'll set a card and end my turn." A card appeared showing the backside, then slowly fadded away as the turn was passed.

Once Dan was asleep, he had a dream that black bordered cards appeared on the ground, then the monsters on the pictures popped out and tried to attack him. He started tossing and turning in his bed. Before the nightmare could continue Dan jumped up, heart beating fast. He looked around the room a couple time.

"That works well as an explanation." Jesse said, accepting the offered handshake, "But can you answer me this, if you are on the good side, why were you hurting that duelist earlier. The one i saw with you when I challenged you to the duel." Jesse stood back, waiting for an answer to his question, Arcana Force 0 - The Fool, appearing beside him as he did, scratching at his new burns while he stood there, the burns he had gained from Lavalval Dragoon's attack through him, and hopping around uncomfortably, as if nervous about something.
