Jenis nodded. [font="Book Antiqua"]"Light be with you,"[/font] she said to Wolfram, Mark, Luisa and Alex as she headed for the I.C.U., while the group was lead to the conference hall.

On one side of the room were the leaders of each respective division of the HEROes: Shining Flare Wingman, Plasma, Trinity and Acid, as well as Elemental HERO Neos. On the opposite side of the room were the Lightsworns, lead by Celestia, Lightsworn Angel. Wolfram gave his Archetype an acknowledging nod, which he was surprised to have returned by the entire group.

[color="#808080"]"I'd like to say that they may change their minds,"[/color] Wolfram said in a hushed tone to the others, [color="#808080"]"but... I'm afraid they're real sticklers about what they do. I doubt that many of them, if at all, feel the same way that Jenis feels...."[/color]

[color="#483D8B"]"We understand, Wolfram,"[/color] Umbris replied, [color="#483D8B"]"yet I doubt that's going to make much difference at this point...."[/color]

Neos got up from his seat and strode toward the podium in the middle of the seats, whilst Absolute Zero motioned for Mark to sit in the chair in the exact center of the room.

[Blackstone Dresden]

[color=blue]Mark looked around, "So, do I get a lawyer?" He asked the nearest Lightsworn, "Or can I just skip all the formalities and plead guilty to all charges and you guys can send me on to the next life if you so choose?" The Moon King asked, looking around the chamber to pick out which Spirit was his executioner.[/color]

[color=brown]The Sun Queen, meanwhile, was perched on the roof of the conference hall, black ooze coating her hand and piercing the rooftop, permeating every millimeter of the rooftop's surface, but stopping just before it would become visible on the ceiling, "Really, Mark?" She asked herself, "You just have to egg on the only people that are trying to kill you, honestly?" She clicked her teeth and sighed before standing up and pulling out her ten black cards again, manifesting them as a horse and rider, three dinosaurs, two red one blue, a girl in a long dress, a machine, three dragons, one blue, one white, and one silver, and a plain featureless white humanoid. "Xyz Summon." She said as they materialized around her.[/color]

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Alan started sobbing at the sentencing of himself and his entire group, and then began to scream as the brown-haired man wearing the strange blue suit started to drag him away. He clawed at the smooth stone floor in vain, and was led through the double doors he and his former compatriots entered through as they closed behind them. The woman pulled back her sleeve to reveal a strange metal bracelet with a blue gem, and the crystal flashed as armor consumed her and altered her form. When her transformation was done, her form was that of a beautiful warrior clad in red armor with green circuitry tracing across it. Her hair had turned orange and also gained the green markings as the lower part extended into six long blade-like projections. She knelt before the Shadow Droid that was her commander, bowing her head while the single eye that could be seen through her hair looked up at Tara's Shadow Droid, its glowing green ring of an iris surrounded by an inky pool of black while a purple tattoo ran down her face from the eye.
[color=#FF8C00]"Mistress Ilana, I apologize for not seeing through your illusion. Please let me strike at the Signers. They are not yet fully aware of the plight they are in, and only they can realize the horror before it is too late. Two of their strongest, the couple Rayos and Aki, are at their weakest, Rayos having lost his famed Duel Gauntlet and Aki with child and in ill health. The scene in the park that Alan caused, combined with the fact that I deceived them into believing that the event was of relevance by giving Aki a false request from the other Signers, has received their attention, and they are en route to investigate. I can easily ambush them there."[/color]

Most of the Elemental HEROes, as well and Alex, Luisa and Wolfram, did a facepalm or something similar to that effect, while Umbris raised his hand and blurted out, [color="#483D8B"]"I'll be his lawyer,"[/color] then added to Alex in a hushed voice, [color="#483D8B"]"Maybe I can get him to plea insanity, or incompetence."[/color]

[color="#FF0000"]"Not cute,"[/color] Alex snapped.

Neos shook his head upon seeing all of this. [font="Impact"]"This really isn't helping you're case, Mark. It's not the kind of impression you'd want to leave at a time like this."[/font]

[font="Book Antiqua"]"If I may,"[/font] spoke up Celestia for the first time as she approached the podium. [font="Book Antiqua"]"Mark, I can see that your, erm... current show of behavior is merely a way for you to cope with your imminent euthanasia...."[/font]

[color="#483D8B"]"Is [i]that[/i] what they call it?"[/color] Umbris muttered out before Alex stomped on his foot. [color="#483D8B"]"OW!"[/color]

[font="Book Antiqua"]"... your crimes against this world have been inexcusable,"[/font] Celestia continued, having not noticed (or cared for) Umbris' outburst, [font="Book Antiqua"]"but your recent actions have been truly admirable; you've shown yourself to be noble and selfless in times of need, and you've helped to save numerous lives, not just the lives of Sir Wolfram and Miss DeLane."[/font] She closed her eyes for a moment, as if dreading to say what most knew was coming. [font="Book Antiqua"]"... thus, it is with a heavy heart that we, the Lightsworns, have sentenced Mark to--"[/font]

Celestia was cut off by the sound of a sudden explosion from above; everyone looked up to see pieces of the ceiling hurtling towards them, but before they could react, the rubble disintegrated into dust which sprinkled harmlessly on everyone.

[color="gold"]"Wh-what is that?!"[/color] Luisa shouted out as she looked up at the newly made hole where the ceiling used to be.

[color=brown]"Perfect timing." Tara said as she fell down to the ground and halfway disintegrated into black sludge upon impact before reforming herself while her Monsters crashed down as well, save for the flyers that created a living ceiling of scales and stone, with the plain white humanoid floating stone still just above what used to be the ceiling, "Greetings, you pathetic HEROES and Lightsworns." The Sun Queen's Shadow Droid said, "I am Tara, the Sun Queen and the mastermind behind Mark's massacre." She beckoned to the Monsters surrounding her "And these are my new friends. Please, don't be shy. Unload everything you've got on them, please." However, no matter what the HEROES or Lightsworns threw at them, the attacks simply fizzled away before touching them, "Oh, I might have left out a small detail: These guys are kind of made of antimatter." She smirked, "Doesn't really mesh well with the material world, so anything you try doing to them fizzles out while everything they do to you... fizzles you out." She pointed at Celestia, "You were the one that was about to murder my older brother, were you not? I think you should see first hand what happens when antimatter and matter collide." The featureless white humanoid finally moved, lowering itself to Celestia and raising one arm, "Gem-Knight Pearl, kill the murderous b*tch."[/color]

[color=blue]"Spear of Frost!" Mark shouted, having Summoned both Dewloren and Gungnir, having the former tackle Celestia out of the way of the Gem-Knight's attack, while the latter shot a beam of ice at it, though that did little more than slow the statue down and turn its attention toward Mark himself, "Alexander, I could use Quilla right about now." He said calmly, "Trishula's too big to fit in here, Brionac's not very useful in confined spaces, and the Generals don't use distance attacks so I can't Summon them either."[/color]

[color="#FF0000"]"Ah... right!"[/color] the lombax blurted out as he called forth Supay and King Moon Star. Meanwhile, realizing that Wildheart and Jenis could be in possible danger, Luisa ran off toward the I.C.U., with Wolfram and Ryko running after her.

[font="Book Antiqua"]"You... saved me, Dewloren...?"[/font] Celestia stammered in shock. [font="Book Antiqua"]"Even knowing what we were about to do to your master... ... Bless you."[/font]

In order to buy Alexander time to Synchro Summon, Bladedge stood in the way of Gem-Knight Pearl and lunged forward with one of his arm-blades. However, the effort proved to be in vain; inches from striking Pearl, the blade, as well as the arm it was attached to, disintegrated almost instantly. Bladedge bellowed out, not so much from pain, but from shock at what had happened to his arm. Fortunately, Heat and Lady Heat created a firewall in between Bladedge and Pearl, distracting the Gem-Knight long enough for a Compulsory Evacuation Device to bounce Bladedge away from further harm.

[color="#FF0000"]"I hope this works...."[/color] Alexander tried to get as much focus as he could before attempting the Synchro Summon, the mark of the Moon and the Dragon Mark both glowing as he did. Supay transmogrified into three green rings that encircled Moon Star. [color="#FF0000"]"[i]The eternal light of night wanes as worlds become one. May the moon shine full in the new world![/i] Synchro Summon! Light the way, Moon Dragon Quilla!"[/color] The Moon King vanished as, with a burst of light, the physical incarnation of the moon appeared above Alex and Mark. [color="#FF0000"]"You want to take over from here, Mark? It is your dragon, after all!"[/color]

[color="gold"]"Jenis! Stay in here!"[/color] Luisa shouted out as she and Wolfram ran into the I.C.U.. Garoth, Aurkus and Jain suddenly appeared by Wolfram's side.

[font="Book Antiqua"]""Stay"? What is going on?"[/font] Jenis gasped, confused about what was happening.

[font="Book Antiqua"]"The Sun Queen has made her appearance,"[/font] Garoth stated, facing the door in case any of Tara's monsters managed to get to the infirmary. [font="Book Antiqua"]"She's come to rescue her brother, or so she says."[/font]

[font="Book Antiqua"]"That's correct,"[/font] Jain replied as she too prepared to defend the Duelists, Jenis and Wildheart from any harm. [font="Book Antiqua"]"It was she who was behind Mark's massacre to begin with. We were... all deceived.... Mark truly was innocent after all."[/font]

[color="gold"]"That's what we've been saying this whole time!"[/color] Luisa yelled out.

[Blackstone Dresden]

[color=blue]"Moon Dragon Quilla!" Mark shouted, his Moon tattoo shining beneath his glove while Alexander's crescent moon faded, cementing Mark's ownership of the Dragon, "I need you to focus all four of your heads on the white Dragon and unleash your strongest attack at its torso." Dewloren looked at his partner with a confused look on his face, "They can immediately dissolve all our attacks, yes, but that doesn't mean that the force behind them gets negated. Gungnir, once Quilla gets the blast centralized, I want you to put another Spear of Frost in the same place." Mark's two Dragons roared and obeyed his command and, sure enough, the combined blast was enough to knock Tara's mystery Monster out of formation, giving Mark the opening he needed, "Come out, Brionac and Trishula!" Five Monsters that had been sticking to Mark's Duel Disk since he had played Dewloren and Gungnir exploded and flew through the gap his attacks created, with Brionac circling around itself while Trishula's three heads stared down from above, "OK, you guys may not like me, get over it for a minute. Everybody that can attack from a distance, band together with at LEAST five others, two if you're a Fusion or higher than Level 6, and do what I just did. Everybody else, get the Hell out of here and find somebody to repair this place." He turned to Alexander, "Alexander, cover them for me. Summon whatever you can to help them get out of here, but don't Synchro Summon, we don't want to cram the halls with giant Monsters. As soon as you get the melee fighters out, send Red Archfiend to help us and then go to the ICU. Umbris," He turned to the Neo Spacian, "I want you to go straight to the ICU. See if Jenis has anyone getting discharged soon that she can wake up early." He locked eyes on Tara and slipped his glasses into his pocket. "As for you, sister, it's time I repay you for these eyes."[/color]

[color=violet]"Of course, Nora." Ilana said, "However, I have a different plan. Rayos and Aki have a Synchro Fusion Monster formed from both their Signer Dragons, challenging them together is only going to get you a beating. However," She said, waving a hand in front of her face like she was flipping the pages of an invisible book, "James, their leader, is currently with one of their most powerful non-Signer allies, a girl named Jasmine. Take the ginger that we corrupted and have him help you Duel those two."[/color]

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Nora nodded and got up to leave. She marched through the hidden base, until a strange figure wearing a black suit, a white shirt, a red tie, black gloves, and an odd gas mask with wires attached to his head started walking alongside her. He handed Nora a folder, and Nora briefly read the information inside before stopping, turning to the strange man. [color="#FF8C00"]"Are you sure?"[/color] She asked him disbelieving. The man nodded, took the folder back, and slipped into the shadows. Nora proceeded to the entrance, turning back into her normal form, where a red-haired man waited. [color=#FF8C00]"Professor Singlus. How honored to meet you. I am Nora, and you will be joining me on a special mission. We are going to go meet two of your old students."[/color] A limo pulled up, driven by one of the gas-masked henchmen, and another ran around to open the back door for both the business woman and the Duel Academy professor. Once inside, the limo sped off to go find James and Jasmine.

As Vaggelis's left face-down was about to be destroyed, he decided to activate it. "Good move, but I'm activating the [i]trap card[/i] that you tried to destroy! I activate the trap card Alchemy Cycle! This decreases the original ATK of all monsters I control to zero, and whenever one is destroyed, I get to draw a card!" He declared. His trap card flipped open, and suddenly the original power of the Dark Crusader disappeared, leaving only the power given by the two discarded cards (ATK 800).

"You're a really strong duelist! And next turn your Future Fusion's effect will activate, thus summoning your Fusion monster, leaving you with three powerful monsters, along with whatever other monster you intend to summon in the next turn! Knowing all this, I believe that it's time to [i]fight at full power! [b]Dattlebayo![/b][/i]" He threw his fist into the air as if to prove what he had just said. "I'm not even going to counter your moves. Go ahead, feel free to destroy my Dark Crusader, and attack me directly."

Rhykotsu grinned at Vaggelis's enthusiasm and fist pumped. "[b]Yes! We will fight at full power! Battle phase! Don't be afraid, just give it all you've got![/b]" Evocater and Capulus nodded. "[b]GO! Evocater Chevalier attacks your monster! And once that goes through, I attack you directly with White Dragon, Capulus![/b]" Rhykotsu loved the excitement of duels. Putting your whole heart into it, making an experience that you'll never, ever, regret. Evocater leaped at his enemy and swung his sword, and Capulus prepared a breath of fire to shoot at his opponent. "[b]Let's go! Full power![/b]" After what ever happened, Rhykotsu nodded. "[b]Turn end.[/b]"

Vaggelis did not counter at all. He let his Dark Crusader be destroyed, and as it was destroyed a purple aura from the Alchemy Cycle card exited from it and went into Vaggelis's deck, which then allowed him to draw another card. "Since you destroyed my Dark Crusader, the effect of Alchemy Cycle activates, allowing me to draw one card from my deck!" [i]((Dude, seriously, I already wrote that down, you didn't have to say it. . .))[/i] Then after that, he let himself take [i]the entire attack of the White Dragon, Capulus[/i]. He was sent backwards a couple of feet, the dust kicked back in an epic fashion (LP 1000). He had lost a lot of Life Points, but he was already about to win.

Following Mark's order, Alexander proceeded to draw monsters from his deck, but was stopped by Umbris. [color="#FF0000"]"What?"[/color]

[color="#483D8B"]"Alex, don't you remember what I told you?"[/color] Umbris said matter-of-factly. [color="#483D8B"]"Your Dimension Hopper monsters can only exist in this World while you're in close proximity to them. They can't stay to help out if you leave for the ICU."[/color]

Alexander blinked once before retorting, [color="#FF0000"]"Uh, I knew that, Umbris. Who did you [i]think[/i] I was going to summon?"[/color] as he revealed the five monsters he was about to summon: Cyber-Tech Alligator, Neo Aqua Madoor, a scythe-wielding Summoned Skull, a black-and-white Dark Magician and Junk Synchron. [color="#FF0000"]"These cards are from by Spare Deck."[/color]

[color="#483D8B"]"Oh,"[/color] muttered a humbled Umbris. [color="#483D8B"]"... carry on."[/color] Umbris turned around and rushed toward the ICU, taking on his original four-legged form as he sped down the hall. Alexander in the meantime summoned his five monsters who, save for Junk Synchron, charged in the assist the Lightsworns and HEROes in their fight against Tara's army of unknown creatures. As the battle raged on, the melee-based monsters made their retreat, some having suffered from missing limbs as a result from physically attacking the mystery monsters.

[color="#FF0000"]"Okay, everyone ready?"[/color] Alexander called out once the last of the melee fighters were gone. [color="#FF0000"]"Alright, Junk Synchron! Tune with Cyber-Tech Alligator!"[/color] Upon this command, the Synchron yanked the ripcord attached to its torso, transmogrifying into three green rings which encircled the winger cyber-gator. Alexander's Signer Mark began to glow as he performed his chant:

[color="#FF0000"][i]"The heartbeat of the ruler reverberates as the worlds become one! May the heavens of the new world tremble upon your roar![/i] Synchro Summon! Arise and conquer, Red Dragon Archfiend!"[/color] Cyber-Tech Alligator vanished in a flash of light as a fierce shockwave heralded the arrival of the crimson-colored being, who soared out through the opening above where the ceiling once was.

[color="#FF0000"]"Alright, Mark, I'm going now,"[/color] Alexander called out. [color="#FF0000"]"And please be here when we get back."[/color] With that, he ran toward the ICU.

"Is there anyone here other than Wildheart, Jenis?"[/color] Umbris said as he and the retreating fighters entered the ICU.

[font="Book Antiqua"]"I'm afraid not,"[/font] said the Lightsworn Mender. [font="Book Antiqua"]"However, it seems like you lot need some intensive care,"[/font] she said to the group of "amputated" fighters.

"Well, uh-DUUUUUUUUUUH!!!" shouted the group.

[font="Book Antiqua"]"... ... no need to be nasty,"[/font] chided Jenis.

Luisa, knowing how the Recharge Chambers work (somewhat), spoke up. [color="gold"]"Okay, all of the Elemental HEROes here can take a vacant Recharge Chamber, which leaves... the other HERO types and Lightsworns,"[/color] she ended with a dejected tone.

[color="#808080"]"Aren't there any other healers we can call upon?"[/color] Wolfram asked. [color="#808080"]"This is going to be quite a lot for just Steam Healer and Jenis to take care of, even with their combined ability."[/color]

"Why not Dian Keto?" suggested Steam Healer, before quickly taking it back. "Oh wait, she'd be pretty hard to actually get a hold of. Who else do we know of?"

Immediately, all of the monsters in the room, save for Umbris and Ryko, began giving out suggestions on what healer to call up.

[color="#483D8B"]"This is going to take forever,"[/color] Umbris said as he looked upon the debating monsters, shaking his head. [color="#483D8B"]"What's worse, we're pretty much sitting ducks if one of those monsters comes here and attacks."[/color]

Luisa nodded solemnly in agreement, then looked toward Wildheart's chamber. [color="gold"][i]He'd know what to do[/i][/color], she thought to herself.

"And now. . . !" Vaggelis said, stopping for a dramatic pause. [b][i]"MY TURN, DRAW!"[/i][/b] With three cards now in his hand, anything was possible. [b]"There are now exactly three Dark monsters in the graveyard right now! Plaguespreader Zombie, Dark Resonator, and Dark Crusader! This is the end!"[/b] A ball of darkness suddenly appeared in front of him, which then began to expand, and continued to expand. [b]"Come forth, my soul, [i]Dark Armed Dragon!"[/i][/b] The ball exploded, covering the duel in darkness, but only for a few seconds before it cleared. Then, its its place was a powerful black dragon with onyx armor (ATK 2800).

"Yeah, yeah, I know, your White Dragon is still stronger than my Dark [i]Armed[/i] Dragon, but I'm not done yet! Next, I activate the effect of Plaguespreader Zombie! If it's in the graveyard, by placing a card in my hand back onto the top of my deck, I can Special Summon it to the field, at the cost of it being banished the next time it dies!" He continued, and with that, a zombie which looked to have been made from different parts appeared on the field in Defense Position (DEF 200). "Alrightio, you ready? After that, I reveal my set card, Inferno Reckless Summon! This allows me, if I Special Summon a monster with 1500 or less ATK, to Special two more copies of that same monster from my deck in Attack Position! Though it's at the cost of allowing you to pick a monster you control, and Special Summon two more copies of it." Two more of that same monster was then Special Summoned onto the field, but in attack position (ATK 400). He awaited to see what monster Rhykotsu would choose to triple.

Rhykotsu instinctively covered his face with his arms as the wind suddenly went wild when the Dark Armed Dragon was summoned. Such powerful monsters usually caused Solid Vision to use some theatrical effect and whip up some wind, apparently. Then again, Capulus did the same...actually, most large sized ace monsters did that, after the gust was over, he let his arms drop. "[b]Rhy, careful. This guy is...[/b]" Evocater Chevalier was cut off by the other Duelist's shout.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, your White Dragon is still stronger than my Dark Armed Dragon, but I'm not done yet! Next, I activate the effect of Plaguespreader Zombie! If it's in the graveyard, by placing a card in my hand back onto the top of my deck, I can Special Summon it to the field, at the cost of it being banished the next time it dies!"

Rhy nodded in understanding; Plaguespreader Zombie was one of the more common tuners recent days. He'd seen plenty of them played when he saw- wait, plenty of them? Wasn't Plaguespreader Zombie limited? He was sure KaibaCorp had made some announcement about it some time ago. Rhy shook his head. No backing out allowed, anyways. Then, the other duelist activated his trap.

"Alrightio, you ready? After that, I reveal my set card, Inferno Reckless Summon! This allows me, if I Special Summon a monster with 1500 or less ATK, to Special two more copies of that same monster from my deck in Attack Position! Though it's at the cost of allowing you to pick a monster you control, and Special Summon two more copies of it."

Rhykotsu nodded again and looked from White Dragon Capulus to Evocater Chevalier. More Dragons meant more beating power, but the same amount of attack points. More Chevaliers meant less beating power, but one heavily powered monster (Capulus). "[b]Evocater Chevalier.[/b]" Rhykotsu's Duel-Disk heard the voice command and fetched his two other copies, then automatically shuffled itself. "[b]Right. Here they come![/b]" With that, two more Evocater Chevaliers appeared on the field. White Dragon Capulus gained a far more noticeable glow, since one of his effects was to gain power for each Gemini on the field. "[b]Alright, continue your turn.[/b]" Rhykotsu said, watching as Capulus and Dark Armed stared each other down...although, Capulus seemed to be stronger if only through brute strength.

A wide grin began to form on Vaggelis's face. "Now since I haven't Normal Summoned yet, I'll do it now! I Normal Summon the monster Blue-Blooded Oni in Defense Position!" Then, on the field appeared a vampire gargoyle-like monster, a card which has never been seen before (DEF 1700). "Now, it's time to [i][b]Synchro Summon![/b][/i] I tune together one of the Plaguespreader Zombies special summoned by Inferno Reckless Summoning's effect with Goblin Zombie!" The designated Plaguespreader Zombie turned into two orbs of darkness revolving around themselves while the Blue-Blooded Oni turned into four orbs of darkness which circled around them. . .

[center][i]"Former ruler of the dark world, come forth once more as one of the undead! Synchro Summon! Rise from your grave, [b]Revived King Ha Des!"[/i][/b][/center]

Once again, the field was showered in darkness, and when it cleared up, there it was, the Revived King Ha Des, looking as evil as always (ATK 2450). "First, the effect of Goblin Zombie activates! If it's sent from the field to the graveyard, I Synchro Summon again![/b][/i] I tune together my Revived King Ha Des and the other Plaguespreader Zombie special summoned by Inferno Reckless Summoning's effect!" The Revived King Ha Des seemed annoyed, as if this was the only reason that Vaggelis had it in his Extra Deck for. It turned into five orbs of darkness which then began to circle the two orbs which the other designated Plaguespreader Zombie had become, and for the last time this turn, probably, the field was showered in darkness.

It had an orb on its forehead, along with four on its chest, and four on its back (ATK 3000). It ominously stared at Rhykotsu's monsters. "Dark Armed Dragon is [b][i]still[/i][/b] my trump card." Vaggelis declared, just to reassure. . . somebody. "But for now, I activate Dark Armed Dragon's effect! By banishing a Dark monster in the graveyard, I can destroy a card on the field! So I'll banish away my Dark Resonator and Dark Crusader to destroy your White Dragon Capulus and Gemini-Summoned Evocater Chevalier! [i][b]GO GO GO, DARK ARMED DRAGON, ULTIMATE GAMEBREAKING FIELD-WIPING DESTROY-EVERYTHING ABSOLUTE OMEGA DARKNESS FINAL BADASS VACUUM NOX HYPER-POWERFUL SUPER BLACK HOLE BALL ATTACK BLAST THINGIE!"[/b][/i] Two balls of absolute darkness appeared in front of the Dark Armed Dragon, which then suddenly fired themselves towards the White Dragon and the Gemini-Summoned Evocater Chevalier. . .

Rhykotsu blinked as the man made over-dramatic gestures as he summoned his monsters. '[i]A bit showy...but then again, the duel's always more fun like that![/i]' Soon enough Rhykotsu was staring down Dark Armed Dragon and something called Purgatory Dragon - Ogre Dragoon. The name was a bit repetitive, but whatever. They both seemed strong, then the Solid Vision helpfully gave him a shot of their attack and defense stats. Rhykotsu then looked at his own monsters, Capulus was definitely the stronger in terms of fighting strength. As Rhykotsu saw his plan to destroy the snow-white's monsters, he looked at his face-down, then at his monsters. They had braced themselves.

"[b]No![/b]" Rhykotsu ran infront of his monsters, to their surprise, then dug his feet into the groudn and crossed his arms, making an 'x.' "[b]I play my quick-spell, My Body as a Shield![/b]" Dark Armed Dragon's attacks were redirected at the duelist. "[b]Gaaaaaahhh!!!![/b]" Rhykotsu held on the onslaught of darkness, not letting it get to the monsters...before sending it right back at Dark Armed. "[b]I can pay fifteen-hundred life-points to negate a card or effect that would destroy monsters on the field, and destroy it![/b]" Rhykotsu panted, visibly roughed up from that ordeal. Solid vision was still strong, even if the damage wasn't real. His monsters stared at him, surprised he would do such a thing. "[b]But I don't know about Purgatory Dragon's, so be careful.[/b]"

BLACK SADEVOUR!"[/b][/i] As the Dark Armed Dragon's blast was redirected back towards him, it suddenly froze. The orbs on Purgatory Dragon glowed darkly, and the blast suddenly resumed itself, but then it was split and the orbs [i]absorbed[/i] the power, and then Purgatory Dragon grew in size, and thus in power as well (ATK 3500). "Once per turn, while I have no cards in my hand, Purgatory Dragon can negate the activation of my opponent's Spell or Trap card effect, and increase its ATK by [i]500![/i]"

Then the ULTIMATE GAMEBREAKING FIELD-WIPING DESTROY-EVERYTHING ABSOLUTE OMEGA DARKNESS FINAL BADASS VACUUM NOX HYPER-POWERFUL SUPER BLACK HOLE BALL ATTACK BLAST THINGIE that Purgatory Dragon absorbed suddenly reappeared out of nowhere, and began spiraling back into its targets, Capulus and Evocater. "I feel a bit guilty for putting your sacrifice in vain, to tell the truth, in fact you actually made it a little worse, but there's no other way around it, I guess. Dark Armed Dragon is important to me, both in terms of usefulness [i]and[/i] spirit! GO!!!!!!!!"

"[b]No![/b]" Was Rhykotsu's pained cry as his monsters were destroyed. "[b]Damn, you did well. Alright, when Capulus is removed from the field, I can special summon one Gemini Monster from my grave! Show yourself, Phoenix Gearfried![/b]" As Capulus's 'shiny dust shards' flew away when he was destroyed, the flew back together, forming the giant, red knight, Phoenix Gearfried [3200/1700]. The two Evocater Chevaliers looked at him and nodded. "[b]Tch, this'll have to do.[/b]" Rhy frowned; he hated these situations, no hand, almost nothing on the field. "[b]Alright, go on.[/b]" The duelist bit his lip. This guy was strong.

Stay out of my way and surrender your Monsters to me and you won't join him."[/color]

Tara asked, her Xyz Monsters slowly but steadily pushing forward through combined attacks of the HEROES, Lightswarns, and Ice Barriers, "You know you cannot win if you cannot so much as touch my Monsters in their natural form, there's no point in trying."[/color]

[color=blue]"The point is to get everyone else to safety while you waste your time fighting me to a standstill." The Moon King told his younger sister, "All I'm doing is keeping you here as long as I can. Then, the others will escape to shelter their allies and I'll stay behind and collapse this building on top of us, killing us both but saving the others."[/color]

[color="#A0522D"]Heh, aren't you the noble self sacrificing hero all of a sudden."[/color]

[color=blue]"If I were a hero, I wouldn't be on trial for multiple homicides." Mark replied as his Monsters pushed forward even more while his giant flyers created a ceiling on what has now become an arena. "I'm going to die today, and if I have to die, then I'm going to use my dying breath to keep you from hurting anyone else, even if that means killing my own sister."[/color]

[color="#A0522D"]Tara smirked and a small armadillo burrowed up from underground, nodded twice, and faded away, causing the Sun Queen to start laughing manically, after which every Xyz Monster she brought with her except for Gem-Knight Pearl, the silver Dragon, and the blue six winged Dragon returned to their cards, which in turn returned to Tara's hand, "There's nothing more I need here." She told her brother, as at last her personal Xyz Monsters faded back to cards, leaving the blue Dragon standing alone. "This is the last time we'll meet in this world, I'm afraid." Tara told him as she started to slowly dissolve into black sludge, "The only way to change that is to accept my offering and ally yourself with me once more." She waved her melting arm at the Dragon, which at last returned to its card form and appeared in Mark's hand, "Since you refused my Vylon Deck, I'm letting you keep your precious Ice Barrier Deck and will simply give you this card: Number 17: Leviathan Dragon. All you need do is Summon him in a Duel and my power will flow into you." Tara's body was almost completely liquid by this point, "If you don't, then I'm afraid the next time we meet will be the last day of your world's existence." And with that, Tara's body completely fell apart and seeped into the ground, leaving Mark holding his new Xyz Monster, his own cards having faded with his sister's.[/color]

Nora wasn't paying attention. She was too busy fiddling with a palmpilot-like device in her hand. As they pulled up to one of the docks overlooking Satellite, Nora smiled. [color=#FF8C00]"Here you are. I now have your phone addresses."[/color] She got out of the limo as it stopped, and her two gas-masked servants went to the trunk. Strangely, the masks had wires and tubes attached to the skin of the wearers, almost like the masks had been surgically fused to the ones donning them. The servants got some gear from the trunk and headed to a storage room, which opened up to reveal all sorts of electronic equipment. A third gas-masked servant was doing some typing at a computer while a bank of monitors showed Aki and Rayos in various situations. The first servant put down his briefcase and hooked up some things while the second set his stuff down and handed Singlus a bracelet. [color=#FF8C00]"This, Professor, is the Mark XI Perception Filter."[/color] Nora revealed a similar bracelet, a metal band with a blue gem, on her left arm. [color=#FF8C00]"This device will soon be downloaded with all of the information we have gathered on Rayos, just like mine will soon be given the data on Aki. Using a combination of advanced holoprojectors, neural interfacing, and subliminal messaging, we will be perfectly disguised as Rayos and Aki. We will be able to think like ourselves, only your mannerisms and subconscious actions will be slightly corrected to that of Rayos', and mine Aki's. Furthermore, to complete the disguise, the perception filters convince anyone nearby we are the real deal. This is the perfect disguise, letting us deceive James and Jasmine into thinking we are their friends while luring them into a trap, which we will spring."[/color] Nora stepped onto a platform with some machinery around it. [color=#FF8C00]"Would you like to watch me go first, and decide then if you want to become one of your former students for less than an hour?"[/color]

[color="#FF0000"]"... you're not going to go through with it, are you?"[/color] Alexander strode back into the conference hall, a concerned look on his face as he walked past some of the passed-out HEROes, Ice Barriers and Lightsworns; apparently, the lombax had never gone to the ICU as ordered. [color="#FF0000"]"Mark, I may not know much about you, or your sister, but... I know enough to assume that only the worst can happen if you play that card,"[/color] he said, pointing at the mysterious Xyz Monster in the Moon King's hand.

[color="#FF0000"]"... look, Mark, if need be, I'll keep quiet about this,"[/color] Alexander said in a hushed tone, in case one of the monsters around them regained consciousness, [color="#FF0000"]"but I can only do so much if and until you summon that monster. I just hope you know what you're going to do, Mark...."[/color]

At that point, an odd portal opened up behind Alex and Mark, from which poked out the fuzzy head of Neo-Spacian Grand Mole. "Coast clear, brother?" asked the Mole. Alexander nodded yes. "Alright, you guys," Grand said to his side of the portal, "it's save to come out, now!" Grand Mole extended the portal so that Luisa, Wolfram, Umbris and Jenis could cross through.

[color="gold"]"You're alright!"[/color] Luisa chirped out as she ran towards Mark and threw her arms around his neck.

[color="#483D8B"]"Looks like you're going to have more to your workload, Jenis,"[/color] Umbris remarked, looking at all of the passed out monsters, only stopping briefly when his eyes fell on Alexander before resuming.

[color="#808080"]"Well, this just keeps going towards the worst,"[/color] Wolfram sighed out. [color="#808080"]"First Wulf and now this. What's this world coming to? What are [b][i]both[/i][/b] of our worlds coming to?"[/color]

[font="Book Antiqua"]"Please remain calm, Wolfram,"[/font] Jenis said as she gently placed a dainty hand on his scruffy cheek. [font="Book Antiqua"]"We'll get through this, I'm sure of it."[/font]

[color="#808080"]"I hope you're right, Jenis,"[/color] Wolfram replied, pulling his face away from Jenis' hand as politely as possible. [color="#808080"]"I really do...."[/color]

[color=blue]"There's nothing to worry about." Mark told Alexander, looking at Leviathan Dragon and reading his effect before slipping it into his Extra Deck before getting hugged by Luisa, instinctively hugging her back "I'm fine." He assured Luisa, "I was never the target anyway. If I were, Tara wouldn't have had to do anything but wait fifteen seconds." He sighed, "Honestly, this was all just a distraction. Saving my ass was probably just a bonus, but I honestly have no idea what her endgame is or why she came to this world in the first place..." He looked at the ground where Tara melted into the mysterious black sludge, "Or even if she came here..." He murmured as his Ice Barrier Monsters were recalled back into his Deck, along with the cards that he gave Alexander, having recognized Mark as their true owner and not the lombax Signer.[/color]

[color=crimson]Singlus simply tossed the bracelet behind him where it was cleanly sliced in two in midair by something impossibly fast, "My Machines want James to know who killed him." He told Nora, "Besides that, unless your machine changes our Decks, it won't be a very effective disguise unless you happen to already use a Deck similar to Aki's to begin with"[/color]

"Urgh. . ." Vaggelis faltered for a bit and his Hand arm seemed to reach out towards the Extra Deck for a moment. [i]Hm, the temptation has a pretty firm grip on me, even on [b]me.[/b] If I summon it, though, then I might. . . no. I'll just have to end this duel fast.[/i] Vaggelis smiled, but it was a bit different from his previous smiles, it was more serious, and a bit forced. He pointed at Rhykotsu directly"Now, let's go! Purgatory Dragon - Ogre Dragoon, pulverize his Phoenix Gearfield! Go! [b]Dark Infernity Blast![/b] And, Dark Armed Dragon, go, destroy one of his Evocater Chevaliers! [b]Yami no Cho Blaster!"[/b] The Purgatory Dragon fired a blast of darkness at the Phoenix Gearfield, and Dark Armed Dragon fired a ball of darkness at one of his Evocater Chevaliers. Then Vaggelis jumped forward, letting his cape flow behind him awesomely, did a ridiculous pose, and declared, [b]"Turn End!"[/b]

I've not seen the likes of them before. Even what seemed like the weakest ones were more than a match for our combined forces.[/font]

[color="#483D8B"]"Things do seem rather bleak,"[/color] Umbris said in an observing tone. [color="#483D8B"]"Looks to me like we'll need a whole lot of support to get through these situations,"[/color] he added with a stealthy wink toward Alex, Luisa and Mark.
