James, who was standing on top of a building, looked up at the moon, then down to the city below. He was thinking about the past events were he had saved the city with the other Signers. "Hopefully this time, peace will remain a little longer." He got up and turned around. "Don't you agree, Jasmine?"

Jasmine, who had come only minutes ago, smiled to James. "I do. I may not be in the same position as you, me not being a Signer and all, but I've been through many of the disasters with you and the others." They both looked back to the city.

Jack was in his old home, the junkyard. He was working on his duel runner that had been made of parts he found around the junkyard. After awhile working, he walked away and sat down. He looked around. "Sure get's lonely around here sometimes. I've gotten use to being around people during my time at Duel Academy." He looked around to check if anyuone had come, but there was nobody.

Dan, a young boy with a plain tee shirt and jean shorts, sat on his front porch, looking through his deck. He stopped at one card, No. 39 Aspiring Knight Hope. He remembered the card appearing in his deck box one day during a duel. Ever since then, he had a suprising win streak against his friends. He stuck the deck in his duel disk, which was the average model duel disk. He drew five cards as the duel disk activated then drew another. "I summon!" he said, but was interupted byy his mother yelling, "Dan! Time to come in the house!" He said nothing, but deactivated his duel disk and walked into the house.

Across town, in the infamous Daimon Area, a young man in a white outfit, a black bowler hat, a black cane, and a fake eyelash in his lower right eye was walking along with similarly-dressed men and woman, two of each, narrating his activities.
"So, I was walking down this here alleyway with my droogies, and I-"
"Alan, brother..." One of the female "droogs" asked their leader. "...for the thousandth time, could you please stop narrating to yourself?"
Alan smiled and whispered. "It was then that I knew what I had to do."
Before the offender could react, Alan struck her down with his cane.
"I like the narration, thank you very much! Any questions?"
The other three shook their heads, and Alan continued walking, leaving the girl in the alley.
They continued down the alleyway until they stopped. A quartet of people in strange semi-armored futuristic suits was standing in the middle.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Alan asked in a mocking tone. "A couple of cheenas and malchicks in fancy platties!"
The futuristic people were confused, and their leader, obviously such because she was the eldest, asked back. "I'm sorry. I thought I was in New Domino. Could you repeat that in English?"
Alan looked annoyed. "I'm just speaking the tongue of the nadsat."
"The what?"
"Nadsat!"
"NASCAR?"
"NADSAT!!!"
He motioned to his companions. "Alright, then! We'll show you the old twenty-to-one!"
"Actually, it's 1417 in the afternoo-"
"SHUT UP!!! There's a park just a little walk away to the east. Not many rozz there. We'll have a bit of the old ultra-dueling there."
"Alright. You're on."
The eight of them headed towards the park.

((Hope nobody minds a little painting the fourth wall and a reminder that yes, Neo Domino is in Japan.))

Drake, who had been looking through the junkyard for a certain part that was prohibitively expensive and functionally impossible to steal with only himself and a couple of orphaned kids to work with. "Caleb, Chris, get out of there. That's a motorcycle, not a D Wheel... I mean Duel Runner. Dammit, why the Hell couldn't I have moved to England or somewhere that speaks English?" He asked in English.

"Umm... Drake, you're talking to yourself again. And in English too. And, ya know, not cursing." Caleb said, hopping off of the seat of a chopper and going over to examine something else, while his brother sat on the hood of a scrapped Sector Security Tag Duel Van and continued sketching out detailed diagrams of their customer's project.

"Ya know, if ya want repeat customers, you may want to avoid mentionin' that you're dumpster diving... And also bathing whatever you pull out of here in that American shampoo you insist on importing."

"Chris, stop being a smartass and start figuring out how to jury rig a mechanism into that thing to simulate a speed boost of Clear Mind proportions without having to buy the newest model out there and cannibalize it for parts or hire James on to repeatedly Summon Shooting Star Dragon so we can build our own from scratch."

~~~Somewhere cuz I'm too lazy to find out the official name of the higher stage thing of Domino~~~
"Oi! Snow-white, wake up!" A rough sounding female voice woke Rhy from his deep slumber. "Whaaaat? I had a good dream that I finally got managed to get Dark Magi-" "Shut up! I told you I don't ever want to hear that name in this house!" Rhy groaned and opened his eyes to see Dark Valkryia standing next to him, with a rather furious expression on her face. "Uh, I was gonna say...Dark Magic Attack." The snow-white muttered, trying to avert Valkryia's anger.
"Dark Magic Attack my a-"
"Hey, hey. What's with the ruckus?"
A sleepy-eyed Evocater Chevalier interrupted her, then yawned. "I thought today was supposed to be a rest day. Lemme have some sleep, wouldja?" The flame knight yawned again, promptly turned and walked off, disappearing. "I still don't really get what's with you and Dark Ma- I mean, her." Rhy muttered, pulling the covers back over himself. "Anyways, I'ma go sleep s'more. Wake me when it's time to...ah...move..out..." The white haired duelist was about to fall asleep again when he was again interrupted by Dark Valkryia:
"It is time to move out."
"Oh."
Rhykotsu groaned and finally got out of bed, heading off to the shower. He had no idea what time it was. He had been sleeping out-of-time recently, things were starting to worry him. The recent duels were getting more and more dangerous. The ratio of running into one of those evil-duelers was slowly but steadily rising. It was usually once every three or so weeks. But even then...
After taking about an hour to shower get dressed and eat, Rhy wandered the streets, not really sure what he was doing. "Huh. I have no clue what to do. And I'm in serious need of DP..." He muttered, thinking about the bills he'd soon have to pay.
~~~In the 'downtown' area~~~

Brunette in bed. Alone thank god. Opened eyes. Sleepy smile. "Morning, Ryou~!" Silent Magician, in her level eight form, (she just likes to be in this form more) greeted her. "Mornin.' How're things? Sleep well and all that?" The girl asked, walking towards the bathroom. Opening the door and peering inside, the brunette winced. She had forgotten to flush again. "Eugh," Silent Magician laughed, then said,"I was planning to tell you about that...but i forgot. Sorry." Silent Magician laughed again, trying to make it sound less like she was a bad Duel Spirit. "Uh...thanks for the intention?" The brown-haired chick held her breath, ran in, flushed, turned on the shower, and ran out.

"You should should seriously start working on your hygiene. Right now, you don't have a chance at any kind of guy." Silent Magician commented. "Oh? Look who's talking! I heard that you got flat-out rejected by Silent Swordsman." The brunette retaliated, but Silent Magician calmly denied, calling her bluff. "You just made that up." "Eugh...I thought maybe it would've hit. You two being silent together and all..." She laughed nervously, but looked in the mirror.

She flinched. Hair messed up, five-o-clock shadow, some other nasty stuff. "I think the scent would've faded by now." Silent Magician chimed, gesturing at the bathroom. "Yeah." After she got finished with her morning duties, Ryou donned her old Academy blazer. It still had her name on it...but that wasn't surprising. She had been forced to leave school. "I wonder how the others are holding up." She mumbled as she left, searching for possible leads. "Well, let's recap. Most of the duels that hurt were...from a kind of gang. The Droogs, I think?" Ryou asked Silent Magician as she walked down a totally inconspicuous street. "Yeah. Something like that." The white haired mage confirmed, maybe a bit too casually.

"By the way, doing all this nocturnally isn't gonna become a habit, right?" Ryou asked, staring at the stars above. "Uh..yeah about that..."

~~HERO HQ, New Skyscraper City~~

Alexander the lombax strode down the winding corridor to the Intensive Care Unit, alongside his partner, Umbris the Neo-Spacian Umbra Panther. Along the way, they were greeted by passing HEROes, each with a somewhat solemn look on their faces.

"It's certainly not easy for them," Alex said to Umbris in a whispered tone, "having one of their own in the situation that he's in."

"Not just them, either," Umbris pointed out as they reached the door to the ICU. Right outside, sitting on the bench to the left of the doorway, was Luisa DeLane, her head hung and very close to tears. She was wearing a rather elegant gothic lolita outfit, primarily black and white in color, somewhat befitting of her current emotional state.

Alexander sat down right next to her, a look of solemn sympathy on his face. "Have you gone in to see him, yet?" he asked her. Without a word, she slowly shook her head.

"They must still be operating on him, then," Umbris said, barely audible except to the long-eared lombax.

Alex turned his head to look at Umbris. "Have you seen where Wolfram went?"

"Last I checked, he went to the infirmary," Umbris answered, still in the barely audible tone. "Departed and Double Dude are evaluating him as we speak."

"This hasn't been easy on him, either...," Alex silently whispered. He placed a gentle, reassuring hand on Luisa's shoulder briefly before getting up and walking about two yards away, Umbris following behind. Once he felt that he was out of Luisa's range of hearing, he continued; "To think that Wolfram's own Duel Spirit--a Lightsworn, no less--could be capable of such a thing...."

"... and what about you?" Umbris asked, looking Alex straight in the face. "How is this affecting you, personally?"

Alexander returned Umbris' look, a very confused expression spread across his face. "It's... a rather... complicated feeling, to tell you the truth."

"... I... felt something," Umbris continued, staring at Alex with a soul-piercing gaze, "back when you teleported us to the Spirit World. It was as if... you were experiencing something you had felt before. ... have you...?"

At this, Alexander lowered his head. "You could say that... yeah...," he said slowly, being reminded of a time that he had failed to....

At that time, the doors to the ICU were opened. Out came the Elemental HERO Fusion, Steam Healer. "Miss DeLane?" he said to Luisa. "You can come in to see him now." Slowly, Luisa got up from the bench and, head still hung down, shuffled her feet inside. Alexander and Umbris followed after her.

Inside was a row of what appeared to be stasis chambers hooked up to heart monitors and other medical machinery. Only one of these were occupied. It was toward this one that Luisa approached. Alexander and Umbris stood back with Steam Healer.

"How is he doing?" Alexander asked Steam Healer in a hushed tone.

"Critical," replied the Fusion of Bubbleman and Burstinatrix, "but we've stabilized his condition for now. Thankfully you got him to us just in time."

Luisa stood before the occupied stasis chamber, tears beginning to run down as she stared at her partner; a comatose Wildheart remained motionless, suspended in the regenerative fluid flowing within the chamber. A respirator covered his mouth, while numerous cables surrounded the wound in the center of his torso.

Luisa pressed her forehead against the glass of the chamber, silently sobbing as more tears cascaded down her face. Alexander himself seemed rather close to tears from seeing her. Holding it in as much as he could, he turned to Steam Healer and Umbris, and asked one more question;

"... and where is Mark?"

Kiryu and Seiyu were walking down the street, they had been out of the institution for a couple of days and were beginning to run out of money which meant Kiryu was going to have to duel some one in order to get some money seeing as it was to dangerous for Seiyu to do it. "Seiyu I'm going to go and find some duels so once Iwe find a park I'll be leaving you there and then I'll go out hunting"... At that moment Kiryu felt a pain in his wright arm and he looked up and he could tell that the source was somewhere up there and he decided to look into it, "Change of plans Seiyu we're going to look into something else right now," Seiyu nodded as he followed Kiryu up the building.

As if on cue, Mark's outraged voice was heard through the doors to the stasis facility, "OK, you morons do realize that I'm more than capable of blowing you all to Hell right now by dropping the Moon Dragon on your head, right?" He shouted, "And, you do realize that I was fighting WITH Wildheart and Luisa as they fought Wolfram, right?!" He shouted again, slamming his fist into the window of the door to the ICU, the glowing Moon tattoo on his palm ablaze with blue-white light, "Now, if you're actually as smart as you're supposed to be, you should realize that the latter means I'm more than likely friends with these people, and that the former means that you're pretty well screwed if you don't let me in to see them. I'm marked for death in less than three hours anyway, I don't want to take you all with me, but if that's my only option to get to see my friends, I will do it." e removed his arm from the door and let out an audible sigh, just as the door slid open and he stepped inside, "A moment, please?" He asked Steam Healer, walking towards Wildheart's tube. "There's something to be said to being viewed as one step below walking apocalypse waiting to happen." He whispered to Alexander, "No one's brave enough to call my bluffs."

In the afore-mentioned park, the two groups were ready to duel.
"You know how ultra-dueling works, right?"
"No. Do tell." The blonde woman replied.
"Well, what we do is physically fight whenever our monsters battle, and we take extra damage based on the victor. No grappling or weapons."
"Sounds fair enough."
"Now, how about we get this show on the road?" Alan smirked as the false eyelashes inside the right eyes of him and his droogs activated, transmitting data directly to their brains as their gauntlets turned into D-Pads. The opposition had visors form over their eyes as holographic Duel Disks appeared on their arms.
"I draw, and I activate Ancient Rules, allowing me to Special Summon Spiral Serpent from my hand!"
A huge plesiosaur-like sea serpent arose from the diagram that Alan had generated, and it prepared to take a chunk out of Alan's foe. (2900 ATK, LV8)
"Now, I activate Trade-In, allowing me to send Tri-Horned Dragon to the Graveyard to draw 2 cards!"
Alan sent the card to his Graveyard, then drew 2 more cards.
"I activate Swing of Memories, which can Special Summon Tri-Horned Dragon from my Graveyard for this turn only!"
A brief flash of a scene at sunset showing a swing hanging from a tree near a seaside cliff appeared, before a wicked-looking blue and red dragon with three golden horns rose from the ground and roared. (2850 ATK, LV8)
Alan chuckled sinisterly. "Now, I will overlay Spiral Serpent and Tri-Horned Dragon to Xyz Summon my greatest monster!"
The two beasts were turned into two beams of light: one light-blue, the other dark-blue, as they entered a swirling red portal.
"Xyz Summon! Thunder-End Dragon!"
A huge blue-armored dragon with electricity crackling all around it emerged from the portal and roared. (3000 ATK, RNK8, 2 XM)
Alex felt confident in his victory. The Traps he was about to set, Negate Attack and Solemn Judgment, would last him until next turn, at which point he would use Thunder-End Dragon's effect to destroy all cards on the field, except for Thunder-End Dragon, activate the second Swing of Memories in his hand to bring back the detached Xyz Material, and attack for game. "I set 2 face-down cards and end my turn!"

Alex: 4000 LP
Hand: 1
Monsters: Thunder-End Dragon (3000 ATK, 2 XM)
Spells/Traps: 2 FD (Negate Attack and Solemn Judgment)
Graveyard: Trade-In, Swing of Memories

His opponent drew her card and simply replied. "I Normal Summon Photon Cerberus."
A red canine beast with three heads materialized, electricity crackling around it. (1300 ATK, LV3)
"During the turn this monster is Summoned, you can't activate your Traps."
Alan's cocky smile disappeared as he realized his primary defense was gone.
"I will next activate Alpha Lineup."

Alpha Lineup
Spell/Normal
Target 1 Xyz Monster on the field: Draw 1 card for each Xyz Material attached to the targeted Xyz Monster.

"Since you have an Xyz Monster with 2 Xyz Materials, I get to draw 2 cards."
She drew her cards, still rather passive.
"I now activate Photon Veil. I can place Daybreaker and Guardian of Order back into my Deck to get Daybreaker back out, along with 2 more Daybreakers."
A shimmering veil appeared in front of the woman, at which point she replaced her cards.
"Continuing, I activate Photon Lead, allowing me to Special Summon Daybreaker in Attack Mode."
A white knight with some black sections of his armor, a red cape, and an odd sword descended from above. (1700 ATL, LV4)
"Now, my Daybreaker's effect activates, allowing me to Special Summon my second Daybreaker, and then his effect activates, letting me Special Summon my third Daybreaker."
The first Daybreaker raised his sword, and, in a flash of light, there was a second Daybreaker. The new Daybreaker raised his sword, and a third Daybreaker was on the field after a second flash of light. ((1700 ATK, LV4) X2)
"I activate Photon Link."

Photon Link
Spell/Continuous
Increase the ATK and DEF of all LIGHT monsters on your side of the field by 100 for each LIGHT monster on the field.

A prism appeared and rose up to catch the sunlight, which it then redirected at the woman's monsters, making it hard to see them as the sunlight reflected off of them, powering them up. (1300 ATK -> 1800 ATK) ((1700 ATK -> 2200 ATK) X3)
"I will now activate the effect of my last card in my hand. By Tributing 2 of my Daybreakers, which both have at least 2000 ATK, I can Special Summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
Two of the Daybreakers burst into two beams of light that started swirling in mid-air creating a galaxy-like portal facing Alan, in a parody of an Xyz Summon. A pair of glowing claws ripped open the portal, and a monstrous glowing dragon with dark armor with red accents appeared on the field. (3000 ATK, LV8)
"And with his Special Summoning comes a bit of an adjustment of the stats of my monsters." (1800 ATK -> 1700 ATK) (2200 ATK -> 2100 ATK) (3000 ATK -> 3400 ATK)
Alan had just been standing there in shock at all of this.
"Now, it's time to fight! Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, attack Thunder-End Dragon!"
Both the woman and the dragon rushed forward to confront their foes. Alan tried to raise his cane to defend himself, but a swift kick sent the cane flying as Thunder-End Dragon fell. (Alan: 3500 LP, +100 extra damage with Ultra-Dueling rules)
"Photon Cerberus, attack him directly!"
The beast charged at Alan as the creature's mistress kicked him up into the air, and bit him several times. (Alan: 1400 LP, +300 extra damage with Ultra Dueling rules)
"Daybreaker, finish him off!"
Daybreaker sliced at Alan as she delivered an uppercut to his face, breaking his nose. (Alan: 0 LP, extra damage inconsequential)
Alan collapsed to the ground, amazed at his defeat. He checked with his droogs to discover that they had been beaten as well, their opponents having a Thought Ruler Archfiend, a Psychic Nightmare, and a Hyper Psychic Blaster.
The woman stood over Alan and simply said "Leave."
He did so, getting up and running with his nose bleeding. He felt like a beaten pup, retreating with his tail tucked in between his legs from an alpha she-wolf.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Despite the impossible odds facing him, the duelist seemed to enjoy this.

"HAHAHAHAHAHHA. . . . . . Alright, I admit, you're a pretty good duelist, you know that?"

"I'm honored to hear that from the King of Games." His opponent said, before pointing directly at. "And now, I'll be taking that title of yours."

The duelist simply grinned. "King of Games? That's such a lame title! I'm Vaggelis, THE MOST BADASS FREAKIN' DUEL KING IN THE ENTIRE COSMOS! Now, my turn, draw!"

Vaggelis LP: 4000
Opponent LP: 4000

He drew a card from his deck at high speed, and air was suddenly pushed away. He didn't hesitate, nor did he pause. He was confident that he would win, but he knew that winning wasn't what mattered. If a Duel King focused on winning rather than enjoying the duel, then they would be hopeless. He was the Duel King, the Duel Champion, Duel Emperor, whatever suits your fancy.

"First, I'll active the spell card, Star Draw! This allows me, by banishing a monster in my graveyard, to draw one card from my hand, so I banish my Shadowpriestess of Ohm!"

The floor seemed to glitter with stardust for a moment, before the dead Shadowpriestess rose from the ground like a spirit, before turning into stardust itself, which then showered Vaggelis's deck, and he drew his next card.

"Now there are exactly three Dark monsters in my graveyard!" He declared. "Alright, here goes, I Special Summon Dark Armed Dragon!"

The field in front of Vaggelis was covered in darkness for a moment, before suddenly a dark monster emerged. . . . . .

After a moment of silence, James looked to Jasmine and said, "It doesn't matter if you're a Signer or not. You've been of great help to us without Signer powers." Before Jamaes could continue, his Head mark started glowing. He jumped up.

Jack could here people talking in the junkyard, two voices sounded like children, the other familliar, but he couldn't figure out who it was. He wiped the sweat off his head with a small towel and went outside. He saw them digging around in the garbage. He appoached them and said, "Is there something I can help you with?"

""Duel!!"

A snow-white named Rhykotsu and a brunette named Ryou were engaging each other, and unfortunately, not in the marriage-kind. The two ex-students activated their dueldisks, and once they were ready...

""Rock! Paper! Scissors!"" The two played the game to determine who went first. Both rock.
""Rock! Paper! Scissors!"" Both paper.
""Rock! Paper! Scissors!"" Both scissors.
""Rock! Paper! Scissors!"" Both rock.
"Rock! Oh screw it." Rhy sighed and gestured at Ryou. "You go." Ryou, on the other hand, was still trying to play the game.

"Oh come on! It's not legit if we don't do this!"
"I have a feeling we'll just be stuck here for the rest of the [s]post[/s] day if we keep on doing this." The white haired duelist said. "Fine..."

The two drew their five cards. Ryou grinned eagerly and started her turn. "Alright! My move, draw!" She drew her card, taking a look at it before summoning it. "Come out! Silent Magician!" The brunette summoned her Duel Spirit, which turned and looked at her. "I know you can make me stronger." But before Ryou could say or do anything, Rhykotsu interrupted them, "Did your monster just talk?"

"Uh...maybe?" Was Silent Magician's reply. Then her eyes widened and she gasped. "Oh my god! It's a boy version of me!"
"What!? No! I'm just...white haired and blue eyed..." Rhy shook his head. Then his army of duel spirits appeared behind him, but none of them talked, just stared at the opposing duelist. Ryou blinked as she saw the ridiculous number. "...what." Was all she managed to get out. "Sorry, I guess they just wanna watch. Continue." "Right. Anyways, Silent Magician, you see, doesn't really like being a kid. So here comes my Level Up!" Ryou placed the card in her spell and trap slot, Silent Magician grinned and faded into dust, when suddenly a bight flash of light streaked down from the heavens, slamming into the ground with a rather explosive entrance. "And this is Silent Magician, level eight!" The digital smoke and dust faded away to reveal a rather...grown Silent Magician [3500/1000]. "Since I can't attack on the first turn, I'll end with a face down."

"Not too shabby, but check this out! Rhy drew his card, and added it to his hand. "Here it comes! Show yourself, Dark Valkryia!" [1800/1050] "About damn time." The fairy muttered, her see-through-ish spirit walking onto the field, becoming darker and more life-like (not that she wasn't already life like!) thanks to Solid Vision. "....crap." Rhy looked in his hand again, seeing that he had a Gemini Scorpion in his hand. If he had summoned him he could have gotten two monsters out on the field instead of one. "What?" Was Ryou's question, staring at Rhy. "Nothing. Anyways, next up I'm equipping her with Supervise!" Rhykotsu activated his equip spell.

"Y'see, Gemini monsters are treated as normal type monsters when they're first out on the field. But this handy-dandy equip spell lets me use her effect right off the bat! Valkryia, show them what I mean!" The fairy grinned and summoned a ball of black energy, and hurled it at Silent Magician. Ryou tried to activate Mirror Force, but realized that this was an effect, not an attack. Silent Magician tried to counter it, but soon enough she was destroyed. "Guh.." She said, floating next to Ryou in Spirit Form. "You seriously need to think more about effects than just battles, Ryou." She muttered.

"She has a point! With this I start the battle phase, Valkryia! Attack her directly!"
"Not on my watch! I play the trap, Mirror Force!" Valkryia attacked Ryou with a beam of darkness, but Mirror Force deflected it back in a wave, destroying Valkryia. But Supervise glowed, then disappeared instead of destroying. "When Supervise is sent to the graveyard, I can resurrect one Normal type Monster."

""But you don't have any!"" Silent Magician and Ryou cried out.
"But that's where you're wrong." They were shut out by Evocater Chevalier, who explained for Rhykotsu. "You see, us Gemini Monsters are treated as Normal Type monsters on the field...as well as the grave. Now, Valkryia, come out already" Evocater called, and sure enough, a portal of darkness appeared before Ryou, and Valkryia emerged. "Miss me?" She asked with a grin. "Uh...take no for an answer?" Ryou responded.

"And note that it's still the battle phase. Attack!" This time Ryou's field was empty. "Gaah!" She flinched as Valkryia's beam went through her, her life points dropping by quite a bit. 4000 -> 2200. "I'll end my turn with two face downs. And right now, Valkryia's treated as a normal type." He smiled, looking at his hand. A Hero Emerges, a very rare card that he had used almost all of his DP on a while back, forced his opponent choose a card in his hand when they attacked. If it was a monster, he could special summon it. In his hand...Gemini Scorpion...and Phoenix Gearfried.

Graveyard: Supervise
_______________________________

"My move, draw!" Ryou grit her teeth. Those two face-downs looked dangerous. "I summon Crusader of Endymion!" [1900/1200] She slapped the monster onto her duel-disk, and with a flash of gold, a heavily armored spell caster made his way to the field. Rhykotsu raised an eyebrow. "A gemini monster." "Yeah, and now, attack his Dark Valkryia!" The mage coated his fists with some sort of golden energy and was about to let his feet meet Valkryia's face before Rhykotsu activated his trap. "Hang on, it's time for a Hero to Emerge!" The Snow-White revealed his face-down. "Here's the deal, you can choose one card in my hand. And if it's a monster, I can special summon it. If it's not, it's sent to the graveyard."

"I choose the one on your left." She pointed and said. Rhy looked and sighed. Not Phoenix. "Eh, not a bad choice. Come out, Gemini Scorpion!" [1600/400] Rhykotsu special summoned his card, white haired man accompanied by shadow appeared; the shadow was supposed to be his level 4 Gemini monster, but he didn't have one. "Normally, his effect would let me special summon a level 4 Gemini Monster from my hand...unfortunately I don't have one." Ryou raised an eyebrow. "Anyways, replay battle! Attack Gemini Scorpion!" Rhy looked at his Valkryia, then at his Scorpion. He knew that Scorpion had to go. "Sorry, Scorpion." The monster looked at him and nodded, albeit a bit sadly. Moments later, he exploded in a flash of light.

"I'll set two cards and end my turn."

To be continued~

Kyriu saw James jump up and was surprised but more then his actions it was the fact that their arms were glowing in the same was so he decided to talk to him and try to find out the meaning behind it, "Hey, why did my arm start glowing when I got near you and why did I know how to find you?" The questions didn't sound rude just empty there wasn't a hint of emotions in them and Seiyu stood a little behind him watching the two strangers as Kiryu addressed them.

"It's because you're so subtle," Alexander jokingly whispered back. "It's a good thing you're here, though; Luisa needs all the support she can get, and... ... Wolfram?" said Alex as he looked behind Mark to see that Wolfram had just arrived through the doorway, followed by Ryko the Lightsworn Hunter, and the Destiny HEROes Departed and Double Dude.

"Forgive us, sirs," said Departed in an apologetic tone, despite not having a visible mouth. "Wolfram was compelled to--"

"I wish to apologize," Wolfram blurted out suddenly, his voice cracked and weary. "It's my fault that this happened."

"Wolfram," Umbris replied, "what happened to Wildheart is not because of--"

"But I perpetuated the events that made Wulf into what he is now!" Wolfram shouted in protest, his hands quavering with self-loathing. "If I hadn't found that "Soul of Garland" card, I would never have succumb to Garlandolf's temptation. I would... never have made Wulf suffer through that pain for all those years. It's... it was because of me that Wulf--!"

"I don't blame you for this." The group turned to see Luisa standing close to them, tear stains still visible on her face despite having calmed herself down.

Aki smiled as she slowly stirred next to her love. Using the money she had siphoned from banks all over the globe over the years, she had amassed a small fortune, which had let her get into the Duel Academy in the first place. Now, she had used some of it to purchase a seaside cottage on a beach near New Domino City for her and Rayos, and used the rest to secure their future together. Now, all that mattered to her was the family she was starting with Rayos. She had yet to tell the other Signers the good news, but she was sure they would be delighted. After all, nothing strange had happened for a few months, and hopefully, it would stay that way.
Aki got up, feeling the slight curving of her belly where their 14-week-old fetus was growing. She still couldn't believe that she was having a child after being killed multiple times and being a cyborg to begin with. She was also relieved that most of the morning sickness was over, and her hormones were balancing out, allowing her to eat what she wanted again, within reason. As she poured a bowl of cereal for "breakfast", she wondered when Rayos was going to get up. It was well into the afternoon, but she enjoyed sleeping in. She started some coffee for him as she sat down, watching the ocean's waves break against the sand.

"Yeah, actually, you can." Drake told Jack, remembering his creative methods for building Duel Runners from when he was his student, "I'm trying to find a certain engine modification to make a D Wheel travel completely around a given circuit and end up right back where it started in less than two seconds flat and NOT have the driver get thrown clear when they rapidly decelerate." He sighed, "Problem is, the only D Wheels that have this capability are Yusei Go, which is locked up in a vault somewhere and it'd be way too much of a hassle to steal its engine without having to have Red-Eyes blow whole building to Hell, and KaibaCorp's newest prototype, which is little more than a luxury item since it'd cost almost as much to buy the damn company as it would to buy the motor, let alone the rest of the bike."

"Wolfy, shut the Hell up." Mark said, taking off his sunglasses to reveal his frozen eyes and then slapping the Lightsworn Duelist in the face. "You found the wrong card and were brainwashed into almost killing someone, sure, that sucks. I was given the wrong Deck by my baby sister and I was brainwashed into almost killing the whole damned Multiverse and I'm going to be executed for it in under three hours. The difference here is that you and everyone you wronged are still alive, in one form or another at least. I've lived the past year and a half knowing how many people I killed, seeing their faces whenever I closed my eyes, hearing their dying screams in my sleep every night, and being reminded of exactly what I did to this world. If you want to make it up to Luisa and everyone else, find out how to fix Wulf and stop more people fro being hurt." He shrugged, "At the very least it will give me something to watch in Hell."

Cat-chan watched Delilah's duel from up in a tree and then licked her lips as she jumped down in front of the woman, "Hello there I see you took out the losers and for that your going to deal with me, not like I care about them it's just you stole my heart and for that you need a little treat." It was obvious that there was something strange about this girl, and as she activated her D-Pad she again licked her upped lip with a look of excitement in her eyes.

Delilah walked forward and shoved Cathy out of the way as she and her posse went on their merry way. "No thanks." She then turned back to face Cathy. "One, I'm at least twice as old as you are, so if I returned your affections, it would be called pedophilia, which is creepy. Two, pedophila is creepy, and so are you. Three, I actually a dog person. In fact, I have a cute German Shepard puppy waiting for me back home. Four, I have a cute German Shepard puppy waiting for me back home. Five, I want to get home, which is a universe parallel to this one. Six, I can't get home until I find one of my students, who has gone missing. Seven, get a life and stop stalking random people."

Having not anticipated getting struck in the face, Wolfram stumbled to the ground without much resistance.

"Mark, really?!" Alexander snapped at the Moon King before turning his attention to the former "werewolf". "But he does have a point, Wolfram; there's no point in beating yourself up over this."

"Judging by how he fell," Umbris interjected, "I say he's been beating himself up through overtime."

"Umbris, that wasn't cute."

"Who said anything about cute?"

"Can't you guys give him a break?" Luisa said as she knelt down next to Wolfram. "Like I said Wolfram, I don't hold you responsible for what's happened."

"Sir Mark's rampage, Wolfram's possession, Garlandolf's vendetta with Master Alexander...," recited Departed, counting off each occurrence with his fingers. "Each of these event's, though seemingly unrelated on their own, eventually lead to Wulf's betrayal and attempt on Wildheart's life. Miss Luisa could very much blame any, if not all, of you for what happened, yet she knows that--"

"Hold up, Departed. Much respect to you, and I'ma let you finish," blurted Umbris, "but I think Luisa already had it summed up. Besides, Mark here really does not have much time left, and I think he'd appreciate if we didn't take so long with explanations of why nobody should be pointing fingers at anybody--OW!" Umbris was interrupted by Alexander's elbow nudging him in the ribcage.

"I think "short-and-sweet" is the message you're going for," smirked the lombax.

"Right. Thanks," Umbris grunted, massaging the spot that Alexander hit.

"And you know what sucks the most...?" Luisa said as she turned to Mark, eyes beginning to well up again. "It's that, even after all of this, you still have to die...." Without warning, Luisa wrapped her arms around Mark's shoulders, holding onto him tightly. "Why couldn't things be different...?"

"... justice doesn't wait, my dear. Nor does it spare."

The voice came from a wormhole that seemed to break through the very fabric of reality (Dimensionhole). Out of this hole stepped out a figure that no one thought they'd see again so soon; the snow white, anthropomorphic wolf wore a darker version of his armor, the gauntlets adorned with blades while a long cape hung from his shoulders held on by two straps crossing in front of his torso. In his right hand was a mysterious blade.

"Wulf!!" gasped Wolfram, startled by his former partner's sudden change. The Duel Spirits in the room (barring Wildheart, for obvious reasons) rushed at the former Lightsworn all at once. However, they were bounced back by a mysterious force (Negate Attack).

"Not now," said Wulf nonchalantly, having not even flinched at the sudden attempt at his life. "You all will have your chance, just not now. I'm simply here to give a proper goodbye, since I was not able to do so last time," he explained as he slowly walked toward the four duelists.

As soon as Cat-chan heard that Delilah had dogs she shivered in disgust, "I can't belive I was ever in love with you when you own those disgusting things, che looks like I'm going to have to find another love." With that said Cat-chan jumped away landing on a nearby tree and continued until she was out of site, she bit her left thumb in anger that she had yet again fallen for someone that couldn't keep her interest for more then a few minutes.

"OK, well you said it." Mark said, wrapping his left arm around Luisa and pulling her away from Wulf, while still keeping his Dueling arm free in case he needed to use more than Dewloren to take Wulf down, though he couldn't help but chuckle at that thought, but decided not to make a comment out of the irony. "There's nothing for you to do here unless you're willing to accept Wolfram's help and end the violence. Continuing is just going to make things worse. The Seals, the Shadow Droid, Rainbow Neos, the Dark Signers, the Emperors. All of it. All that's done is spiral downwards, creating more hate. More death. More destruction. And what do we have to show for it?" He closed his right fist, "A crying girl heartbroken about her wounded partner. A noble Lightsworn tainted by darkness. If you want to continue this cycle, then please, make me your first victim. But I promise you, if you kill me, I will make you earn it. I've killed too many people to be called a good man, but these people around us are the last anchor to what shred of humanity I have left, and I will die for any one of them. Including you, Wulf." He stopped and slowly unclenched his fist, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

"It's quite simple, if you knew some history." James said, looking away from the person. "But, since I'm sure your intentions were to come duel me, I'll tell you everything you need to know about your mark fi you win. Sound good?" James looked back to Jasmine as she walked backwards slowly. He then turned to the person and activated his duel disk.

Jack, suprised by the answer he recieved, looked at Drake in shock. "Didn't excpect that. I'm willing to help you, but not much I can really do, since I've only seen that done by James, but I'm not up to date with current technology either." He pointed back to his "garage" with his d-wheel made of spare parts he found here. "I'll help if I can though."

Aki went back into their bedroom, which had a beautiful view of the beach, and sat down next to her sleeping love. "Rayos..." She softly called out as she ran her hand across his chest. "It's well into the afternoon, my love. I made you some coffee, just the way you like it." She held the cup near his nose, allowing him to smell the beverage. She then chuckled and playfully nudged his shoulder. "Come on, lazybones. We have a message from our favorite brother-sister Signer tag team. They want us to check out some more reports of those 'Abc Monsters' people keep talking about."

"As tempting as that sounds," Wulf said after considering that possibility for a moment, "I currently have no interest to do so, especially considering that your execution is fast approaching."

""No interest"?!" Umbris grunted as he picked himself up from the floor. "Where was that lack of interest when you stabbed Wildheart in the back?!!"

"As I was saying," Wulf continued, completely ignoring the NEX'd Neo-Spacian, "I am merely here to bid farewell to my partner. I have no interest in a confrontation."

"Sure, you're not," snapped back a skeptical Umbris. This earned him a piercing glare from the now red eyes of the fallen Lightsworn.

"I could have countered your assault with Mirror Force instead of Negate Attack. Just as well, if I was here to confront any of you, we would not be having this conversation; most of you would be in need of these Recharge Chambers, if not a grave plot in the cemetery." Wulf's words flowed out like a bitter-cold river, calm with a hint of venom.

"As for acquiring "help"," Wulf continued with a less severe tone, "I really have no intention of turning back from this path I've started for myself. Not now, anyway." He then turned his gaze towards Wolfram, who was still kneeling on the floor. "Do not get me wrong, Wolfram; there's nothing more that I desire than to be by your side again." With this, he extended a hand toward his partner, his gaze calm, even benevolent. "You and I can still have that chance."

"Him join you?!" Umbris yelped out. Ryko growled in agreement.

"Wolfram, don't do it!" pleaded Luisa.

"Don't be fooled, Wolfram," Alexander warned. "It's not worth--!"

Before the lombax could finish his sentence, Wolfram held up a hand to quiet him. He slowly got up from the floor and took a few steps forward, returning Wulf's gaze with one of his own.

"I... feel the same way, Wulf," said the Lightsworn duelist, a sad look in his eyes as he slowly extending his hand toward his partner. "... but...."

At this point, the hand he extended suddenly flipped Wulf the bird. "I'd rather ya shove wahn up your arse, ya go***mn cur!"

Alex, Luisa and Umbris were shocked upon witnessing Wolfram's sudden change in disposition, but not as much as the former Lightsworn; Wulf was completely taken aback, his face's calm expression immediately replaced by one of shock, sadness and outrage. The man standing before him was not the partner he had known for many years, but the savage that haunted his memories even to this day.

It took Wulf a full fifteen seconds for him to calm down.

"... so," Wulf spoke in a quavering voice, his expression now a sad one, "even after all of this, it seems that "he" still won't leave...." Wulf hung his head, closing his eyes, trying to fight back his emotions.

After a while, his expression once again became mute. In a clear, empty voice, he said"Very well. It seems that you and I are not meant to walk the same path. I suppose... I will have to accept that." He turned to walk toward the Dimensionhole, only stopping a few feet away to turn his head back to the others. "The next we meet, it will truly be as enemies. I will not be as forgiving as I am now. Judgment... shall be passed down upon those responsible. Only then... shall my goal be accomplished. ... ... goodbye, Wolfram...." With that, Wulf stepped through the Dimensionhole, and vanished.

"... ... he was... crying...," said Alexander once Wulf was gone.

"Please tell me your eyes were just fooling you," said a skeptical Umbris.

Wolfram, middle finger still held up, suddenly fell to his knees, sobbing. "Wulf... I'm sorry...."

Back to the duel between Ryou and Rhy.

...let's just skip to the end, k? No need to bore you guys.

"Alright..." Rhykotsu drew his card. He had three cards in his hand, and his grave had too many Gemini monsters for his own good. The field spell Dual Realities, which gave Geminis an attack boost and once per turn gave them their effect, was in play. His monster field had nothing. He had a Dimensional Prison set. Ryou was winning with another Silent Magician level Eight, and a face-down. He had a Monster Reborn, a United We Stand, and a Dragon's Mirror. He had to play it right; they were both down to a thousand LP. "I'll play..Dragon's Mirror!" The Snow-White activated the spell.

"I can remove from play from my field or the grave, monsters listed as a Dragon's Fusion's Fusion Material. Then, I can fusion summon it! I'll drop Blazewing Butterfly and Future Samurai to bring out...!" Rhykotsu got the two cards out of the grave and pocketed them. "Superalloy Beast Raptinus!" The stitched-together dragon roared upon entrance, sensing that most of its companions were dead. "Don't worry, buddy. You won't be alone, I'll play Monster Reborn! I'm bringing out..Phoenix Gearfried!" With a bang! a column of flame spiraled out of the ground, and faded to reveal a large, heavily armored with a huge-ass sword, knight.

"Thanks to Superalloy, Geminis automatically gain their effects. Next up, I'm playing the equip spell Big Bang Shot! And I'm equipping it...to your Silent Magician!" Phoenix Gearfried nodded at him, as Ryou scratched her head. "Why would you...what?". "You are doing well, but that face-down..." The knight muttered. "You got it, Gearfried, don't worry." The two ignored Ryou. "Now, attack her Silent Magician!"

"What? Ergh..here goes something! I play the trap, Skill Successor!" Ryou planned to make Rhy take even more damage than he normally would have. "Now Gearfried's effect activates! I can send one equip spell to the grave, and negate that!" Rhykotsu sent Big Bang Shot. Silent Magician started fading. ""What!?"" Both Silent Magician and Ryou gasped. "When Big Bang Shot is sent to the grave, the equipped Monster is removed from play." "Damn!" "Now, replay battle! Direct attack!" "Gaaahhh!!"

Once the duel was over, the monsters faded away, the two duelists took a look at their PDA's, both gasping in surprise at the sudden increase in their DP. Rhy had gotten three thousand, Ryou had gotten one thousand. "Must've been an intense duel..ehh...wait. I know you from somewhere else." Rhy said as he offered her a handhsake. "Yeah, we used to go to the same school." She laughed, then punched him in the shoulder.
"I'm wearing the uniform, doofus. You are, too."
"..Oh."

Rhykotsu sighed and shook his head. "Yeah, you won't see me around there anymore," The Snow-White murmured. "Same here. Life got in the way."
"Keep in touch?" Asked Silent Magician, appearing beside Ryou.
"Sure." Rhy smiled a bit, and his Dark Valkryia appeared next to him, also smiling. "Fighting you guys was fun, so I'll let you and Snow-White here be friends."
"Here's my number." The brunette duelist handed Rhy a card, with simple, handwritten numbers on it.
"I'll call you later then."
"Yeah. Bye."

And the two split up, but Ryou found herself something strange. Some cat eared girl was leaping through trees, but her duel-disk and eye thing. She heard there was some kind of new duel disk, but that just looked stupid! But Ryou began to tail her, wondering how the thing worked. Rhy was just wandering around, wondering if he'd bump into any of those bad duelists today.

"Sir, the Rose Tournament is starting in one hour." An attendance told Vaggelis. He just sighed.
"Jeez, did I really accept all these tournament invitations. . . .?"
"You accepted every invitation sent to you, sir. And the more you accept, the more people are willing to send to you."
"Urgh, but still, aren't I ruining the others' chance to shine?" He paused for a moment. "Cancel my invitation. Say I won't be able to make it." And with that, he walked to the elevator, which took him to underground level, and from there he could escape the crowds who would cheer for him and the crazed maniacs who would challenge him to a duel for no reason. He emerged further away from the building. There was no one here, but someone, namely Rhykotsu, but he didn't know that. "Hey, you!" He called out.
