Cin
I don't see the need for so many focals, it really doesn't work. The background really doesn't match with the focals either.
God GAK
@Nura, thx a lot m8 @Blood, the many focals are to show the difference, and C.C and Ryuk arent really a focal, more like a filler. Can't see why u dont like the background either
Cin
They may not mean to be focals, but act as them. The background is too dark, maybe would have been better if you'd used a relevant stock, I feel that would have felt natural.
God GAK
Nah natural stock doesnt match here, thanks for feeback though
.Rai
I agree with Yin here. 4 focals is really pushing it, 2 is your absolute maximum. There is no such thing as a 'filler'. If you have a large character, it will become a focal. Otherwise, very well executed.
God GAK
Well, i felt like making a wallpaper and Lelouch w/o CC and Light w/o Ryuk, just doesnt seem right so...

chairman ali
There are only 2 focals in this artwork. There are 4 OBJECTS though. The background is pretty bland. It doesn't really help connect the 2 'worlds' together. You could've expressed them by cooperating actual events that happen in the anime of each side then somehow make a smooth transition between the two so they can connect. I dont really like how c.c.'s legs just get cut of. You could've vectored them or at least painted, perhaps also you could've stretched the legs. C.c. Is however unproportioned well. Keep pressing the shift key while resizing. That's all I can really comment on right now. Trying adding wow factors next time.
God GAK
Yeah Caveman, i had thought of doing vectors but sadly i'm a nab with them and it would've turned out terrible. Any ideas on changing the background? Also, if you got a good vector tut, i'd appreciate it. You mean WoW factors? As World of Warcraft or something? [/quote] Yup sure man! http://tsukishoujo.deviantart.com/art/Vector-tutorial-Introduction-73520899?q=boost%3Apopular%20in%3Aresources%2Ftutorials%20Anime%20vector&qo=4 he has linksin the info for each part of the tutorial. I learned some anime vectoring techniques from this. A good background would be developing a split concept. I.e. Since death note is s morbid maybe youd use a anime graveyard kind of scene on the left side and the right side would have something to do with code geass. But make sure it's a scene so it gives a good atmosphere. A wow factor is basically an element in your design which makes the audience gaze at your design with amazement expressions on their faces. It's something not often seen. Good luck mate!
