Phyrexia Aftermath (MTG RP) [OOC Thread/Started/Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Yup, very nice addition, and quite Phyrexian ^^. I love how creative everyone is getting on here, people should make more MTG rps lol.

Approved on one condition (I like conditions)

I'm ok with you touching people and corrupting them, etc... etc..., and corrupting mana into black mana is also fine by my book, since black has done it before, buuuut

It seems like you're already known in the Phyrexian ranks, and a part of their army from before the conquest of Mirrodin. Would you mind posting your rank in that army? It makes quite a difference, because NPCs will be responding to you in different ways based off of your rank. Just put whether or not you're one of the ones in charge, a weapon like Jeice, or a soldier/leader of a few groups of soldiers.

Name: Glissa Sunseeker
Color: Green
Age:
Job: Ruler of the Tangle
Glissa was a Viridian Elf living in the Tangle. Her life was an ordinary one, except for her distrust of the Trolls who controlled Tel-Jilad. Her distrust led her to often ignore the rituals the trolls perpetuated in order to ease the memories of the elves, and as a result, she began having vivid hallucinations she called flares. Her hallucinations became a part of her everyday life, and soon she began to ignore the strange occurences. Her paranoia of the trolls seemed to bear fruit, for one night, they abducted her. She was taken before a mysterious troll who had no metal upon him at all. This troll called himself Chunth and explained that they had taken her to protect her. She seized a weapon and fled as soon as possible, only to discover that the trolls had not been lying.
When she returned home, she found it a charnel house with levelers milling about. She fought them, and they eventually retreated, incidentally having captured and wounded Glissa. She awoke in a vast cavern the next morning. With the help of a goblin named Slobad, she freed herself and sought out help to deal with her wound, which had become badly infected. Slobad led Glissa across the glimmervoid to the Leonin capital of Taj-Nar. There, her wound was treated and she befriended Kha Raksha. He related to her that he too was attacked in the same instant she was. An unlikely alliance seemed in order, and with the leonin help, she struck out to learn who her mysterious enemy was. This search led her deep into the Mephidross where she and Slobad encountered a delapidated golem. The construct turned out to be sentient after Slobad fixed it, and introduced himself as Bosh. With the golem's help, the trio managed to penetrate to the heart of the dross, a structure called Ish-Sah ruled by the necromancer Geth. After defeating him, she struck a deal to spare him for information, data he was glad to share so long as it rid him of the troublesome group. This data led to the next leg of her journey, towards the Quicksilver Sea and the Vedalken city of Lumengrid. Along the coast, she allied herself with a Neurok wizard named Bruenna who desperately wanted to strike out against the vedalken overlords that held her people enslaved. After a harrowing journey across the sea, tucked safely inside Bosh, Slobad and Glissa emerged in Lumengrid. Here, she confronted the mysterious individual orchestrating the attacks, Pontifex and with help, she managed to kill him... only to have the true culprit revealed.
She began to unravel Mirrodin's secrets and found that Memnarch was responsible for the attack. She wielded the Kaldra artifacts, after journeying to acquire them, but was betrayed by the avatar when Memnarch gained control of them. It was revealed that her latent planeswalker's spark was Memnarch's final goal, but she escaped when the green sun erupted from the core. She returned to the Tangle to find it a changed place, and was immediately arrested by her own people for the murder of her parents. As it turned out, her sister Lyese had not perished during the attack. After the levellers attacked at her trial, she was cleared of charges and put together an alliance of her friends and family, intent on toppling Memnarch's reign. She returned to Ish-Sah, to find Geth no longer the head of the Dross, where she became trapped in a time bubble for five years. When she was released, she found the world totally different than as she remembered it. Taj-Nar had fallen and Slobad had been missing since her mission. Her sister had risen in prominence to head the alliance, which had barely survived Memnarch's constant onslaught. Glissa dared to dive into the heart of the world once more to end Memnarch once and for all. When she arrived in the core she found Memnarch had transformed it into an enormous spark-transfer machine, planning on using the souls of all those above to fuel it. Sadly enough, she found Slobad strapped to the machine, horribly tortured and used to engineer it. Which righteous fury, she flung herself at the twisted and insane golem, knocking both herself and Memnarch into the core. Much to Slobad's surprise, her spark was accidentally transferred to his battered form, which was whole for the first time in years. After meeting Karn and learning what had happened, Slobad willingly relinquished his newfound spark and powers to save his friend, Glissa, and all the life that had been stolen to be placed on Mirrodin.
In the end, Karn left Glissa, Slobad, and Geth as the new guardians of Argentum (Mirrodin) and the Mirari.
When Glissa and Slobad returned to the surface, they were set upon by hordes of panicked goblins. Glissa was separated from Slobad and retreated back into the interior, where the tiny Memnite constructs kept her safe, sound, and sleeping. Or so they thought...
While trapped in the core, the elves above accused her of all the damage that had been done to their community: the destruction of the Radix, the death of many elves, and the extinction of the trolls. With the Vanishing the only remaining beings who knew what good she had actually done were pulled from the plane. The natives of the Tangle took to calling her Glissa, the Traitor as more and more woes were heaped upon her shoulders. With the corruptive powers of Phyrexia working their way to the mana core, she too, was eventually corrupted just by her proximity to the oil. Compleated by Vorinclex she became the champion of the praetor, and an extremely powerful warrior for Phyrexia's goal.

Loyalty: Phyrexia
Abilities: Glissa has complete control over the Tangle. Sure, Vorinclex is the one who is the Praetor, and he compleated her, but she is the true ruler, since he is just a big dumb brute of a beast. Anyways, with pretty much total dominion over the Green portion of New Phyrexia, she commands all of the nasty Phyrexified beasts, elves, and other horrors within.

I decided to give Chandra and Itsu a foe.

BTW, Lady, Glissa's most recent card was G/B, so you might want to reflect that in your app.

And here's mine:

Name: Niv-Mizzet
Color: Blue/Red
Age: No idea. Niv-Mizzet has far more important things to keep track of his age. But however old he is, it's measured in eons.
Race: Dragon
Gender: Male
Plane of Origin: Ravnica
Loyalty: Chandra
Job: Former leader of The Izzet on Ravnica. Currently unemployed.
Niv-Mizzet once held the lofty title of Firemind on Ravnica. He led The Izzet, the blue/red guild, for millennia. But then everything changed. The Nephilim came. He fought off two of the otherworldly beings, and then... ran away. Yeah. What? He gets bored easily. But along the way back to his concealed lair in Nivix, his home/laboratory, everything changed. Another dragon rose before him. His name, he said, was Nicol Bolas. This "Bolas" dragon spoke of an opportunity. An opportunity to learn things Niv never knew before. Of world beyonds Ravnica. Of beings known as planeswalkers. Of a job he needed done, by someone besides the incompetent human he had sent earlier. And of Niv-Mizzet's latent spark, which had lain dormant for over 15,000 years. Niv-Mizzet agreed to do the job out of sheer boredom. So Bolas blasted him with a massive wave of dark magic the likes of which had never been seen on Ravnica, and certainly not survivable. But when the first waves of black blasted through Niv-Mizzet's mind, he panicked. His spark ignited. And he planeswalked for the first time... to New Phyrexia.

Niv-Mizzet has an IQ of over what the test can be measured in. As such, he could be a master at any scientific or magical field he chooses to study. But studying is boring, so he sticks to pyromancy and artifice, being manipulate his fiery breath more than any ordinary boring mono-red dragon and has fabricated multiple new materials, including Mizzium, a nearly fireproof metal (very useful when you have firebreath). In addition to prodigious skill with fire and fabrications, his massive intelligence gives him exceptional psionic powers, giving him telepathy and telekinesis (very useful when you don't have hands). Also, he can fly. He's a dragon, what do you expect? And he gets very bored sometimes. Alright, all the time. And he hates boredom. He solves this by burning the source of the boredom. Just for the other planeswalker's information.
Having an IQ of 5000 means that it's over 24 times what an IQ can be measured as...

And being able to create anything out of his breath is a bit overpowered, even for a planeswalker.

I can't approve him until he gets nerfed. Also, if he's working for Bolas, why is he in New Phyrexia? Bolas doesn't want anything to do with New Phyrexia, he's focused on Alara still.

Right then. Your choice.

@King: Right, will nerf. And if Bolas is working in Alara, why is Tezzeret there, as a Agent of Bolas? The Alara stuff got finished two blocks ago. He was on Zendikar, and there's an official Magic comic (wow, I'm obsessed, aren't I) where he tells Tezz to go to Mirrodin or somesuch and monitor Phyrexia.

This is in an alternate future, after Karn has been killed. Tezzeret has been corrupted by Phyrexia as well. I'm just wondering why he'd be on Chandra's side, I guess

Approved Archmage

Challenge accepted, Dark

Name: Mal
Color: White
Age: 80
Job: Bodyguard
Bio: Mal was born in the sacred plane of Kamigawa. His father, a previous planeswalker who went by "Sho", and his mother, a previous slave to Phyrexia who was unknowingly infected, both had raised him since childbirth. On his fiftieth birthday, he challenged his father to a duel of swords. His father had a magical ability to call upon swords, but that's when Mal's planeswalker spark ignited. He had a corrupt spark, since his blood was contaminated, but he was still strong enough to take his father down. He raised his sword and, with a sinister smile, cut the throat of his father. His mother was the next to die, by his Phyrexian mindset. Now, the soul of his father haunts him, but that's also become one of his greatest powers.

He was recruited by Phyrexia but denied. He joined Chandra and the resistance just to stick it to Phyrexia, but prefers isolation so that he doesn't get that bloodlust he normally does.
Loyalty: Chandra
Appearance:

Abilities: Though not that adept in white magic, Mal has the ability to seperate from his own soul and control two seperate identities. His physical body and his soul still share the same amount of pain, but the two have completely different fighting styles. His soul uses martial arts, while his physical body uses a strange, blue-steel katana. He also has the power to allow his father's soul to take over his physical body during this time, and his father is a much stronger swordsman. He can use an Asura combat, meaning that his soul arms create two seperate arms, giving him four total. Finally, every so often his phyrexian blood will take over and he'll go on a killing streak. It's best not to be around him when his eyes glow red.

I'm working on a Phyrexian app now.
EDIT:Here it is!
Name: Taklim-Aken (The family name comes first in Fyron culture, so he is called Aken informally)
Color: Red
Gender: M
Species: Fyron (A species I invented. They look much like humanoid Frilled lizards with all red scales. There scales and transparent eyelids are fire proof. Thats good, because they excrete a flammable oil, and by rubbing their scales together to cause friction, they light themselves on fire. They have pores on their palms that can squirt the oil, which is like shooting fire if the Fyron is currently on fire)
Age: 30 (Equivalent to the development of a 35 year old human)
Job: Formerly Mercenary, now Phyrexian Planeswalker
Bio: Once, in a mercenary job, he was chasing a particularly evasive target, and he, without realizing until afterward, teleported to his target by moving through a different plane then back.
Loyalty: Phyrexia
Appearance: Fyron have small differences between individuals, immediately noticeabl only by other Fyron. Some differences between Aken and other Fyron include a smaller than average frill, and larger than average hands.
Abilities: Aken favors quantity over quality when it comes to summoning, he summons hordes of relatively weak warriors and mages. He does however, enjoy using a few Elite units of Fyron warriors and Mages of different colors to send to strategicly significant points.
