True legends bring out the worse in them and twilight made a joke out of the history and crap that we have known for so long. It didn't bring anything good to help and change the legends, just made them more immortal and that is just uninteresting. Well, keep in mind that it IS a love story that was targeting teenage girls that thrive for them. If it had elements of the real legend behind vampires, it would be too gory and sh*t and it wouldn't grab the attention of that many people. After all, it did sell millions worldwide, the majority being those love freaks that obsess. I'm not obsessing, though, so I can't be judged. Either way, we're all entitled to our opinions.
