Max Darkness
1. During the Principleship contest, this was my first choice for my entry; but I went with "Aragami's Revenge" because I thought this was actually grossly overpowered. Could I get your opinions? Thanks. 2. Also, since the OCG teachers might have a different angle on this, do you agree with this OCG? 'When a card leaves the field, hand, Deck, Graveyard or Banished Zone, it is added to its new location instead.'
CMRenji
Your entry card was a lot better in my opinion. More interesting, more complex. The card seems fine and balanced to me. You destroy 1 card, and this card is destroyed after is activated as well, then you get an extra card on your next draw phase. Here's the Trap Card I was thinking to submit for the principal contest:

CMRenji
Yeah, after looking at this card and my other one, I figured the monster would be a lot less situational and more useful as a staple to some decks.

CMRenji
@Max: The card seems pretty good, but I don't understand what you mean by "new location". Can you elaborate a bit on this part? @Daemon: Good luck on your Image Archive, I'm sure it will be awesome!
Max Darkness
I've changed the first post a little to try to make it more obvious you need to submit an entry card when you apply. In other news, I might have gone quite mad(!) @ Renji: This is completely new OCG, so it's subject to change. The reason I used 'new location' was because a card in the hand can go to the field, the Graveyard, the Banished Zone, or the Deck. And it's the same for the other four areas, making 20 seperate transitions. Instead of writing this out, I chose to use 'new location' to refer to wherever it was sent, simply having the 'place' mechanic over-ride it. Clair
[i]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by discarding 1 Monster Card while you control no monsters. During your opponent's Main Phase, you can Release this card and Special Summon the discarded monster in Attack Position. If Special Summoned by this effect, the selected monster gains 400 ATK and cannot be destroyed by card effects until your next End Phase. ❤ Lovely Warrior ❤
id like to be a student
normal one and a effect
CMRenji
@Clair: Your card seems fairly broken. There is a plethora of very powerful monsters you can summon with it's effect. Plus, said powerful monster gains 400 ATK and it can't be targeted by Spells on the turn it's summoned. In balance terms, I believe it's Slifer. @Peach: The first card is a Vanilla(normal monster) so, not much to rate. The 2nd card is simple, and fairly generic. To give you a few pointers: Vanillas are not liked too well on YCM. They are usually unoriginal and not as useful as effect monsters. When making a card's name, capitalize every first letter except for words like "of" and "the": "Amy Rouge the Bathog". Fake types are also not liked around here. Usually, they aren't necessary. I suggest the first card should be a Machine with an effect that states: "This card is also treated as a Warrior-Type monster." or vice-versa. I suggest Slifer for you. You still have much to learn. Max Darkness
@Max: Oh, I think I understand now. Instead of being sent to the Graveyard, added to your hand, etc., it is placed in those places instead. Am I right?
Exactly. So "Brionac" ends up placing cards in the hand, the Searchers no longer work, and cards are never actually banished.
CMRenji
Awesome, I can see how this card can really tear up the Meta. If Kaiba could choose a card to screw the rules, it would be this one. Also, do you have any thoughts on the applying students' cards?
Max Darkness
Awesome, I can see how this card can really tear up the Meta. If Kaiba could choose a card to screw the rules, it would be this one.
I'm glad you think so.
Also, do you have any thoughts on the applying students' cards?
Clair's card would work very well in monster-heavy Decks I've seen recently. It might also see a little use in "Fabled" Decks, given their love of discarding. It is also somewhat anti-meta, due to the fact that the meta has the goal of ending their turn with the opponent's field empty. However, because it can be S.S.ed without having to have your opponent controlling a monster, it is a problem in that area. A second thing is that its low ATK means it can be returned with "Limit Reverse", and if used in a Level Manipulation Synchro Deck, could be an easy bulk of Levels for a Level 8 or 9 Synchro Summon. And I don't like the DIVINE Divine-Beast set-up, considering it is not a god. Overall, I'd say Obelisk for OCG, and Osiris for Balance and Style. Peach's card is standard Vanilla. Not strong enough to replace the current Level 8 trumps ("Blue-Eyes", "Gogiga" and "Spiral Serpent"), and not useful enough to see use. As for the Fusion, it is a basic ATK-gainer, so nothing else to say. I'm always in a split mind whether to downgrade a card for blandness. I'd still go with Osiris.
