A kid, not much older than 12, walked in the direction of the Seireitei, he was in human clothing and clutching his left arm. His clothes were ripped and ragged with blood stains, and behind him, unconscious souls. He didn't know what he was doing, going towards it. He just felt as if it were calling for him. Many tried to stop him, but only delayed him. The closer he became, the sicker he felt, but yet he continued. He tried stopping, but his legs moved against his will. On the inside of the Seireitei, clashing blades and screams of the dying could be heard. But this kid ignored it, he continued.

It was Graduation day for all these new captains as they stood and many of their peer-shinigami's watched and cheered from the crowds. Many new Lt's were also lining up as they were called. But suddenly, a Giant black rip appeared in the sky. IT was like a black cloud that had no limit to it's depths. Many Arrancar fell from the hole as the Espada fell close behind. The Captain Commander was assassinated by many newly Formed Arrancar that snuck up behind him. All the Captains ordered immediate retreat as the shinigami ran from the surprize attack.

Melodi was relaxing in her quarters, ignoring the ceremony because it would be pointless and she would've been forced to take off her headphones. She couldn't deal without her music, it was all she had left. She would meet her Lieutenant in due time anyways. Or at least she thought. She looked up from the sheet of paper she was writing out a new song on when she heard the screams. [i]Odd, I don't remember fighting be part of the schedule today.[/i] She put on her headphones and grabbed Sakushika. [i]I thought that I could have some peace of mind for once.[/i] She walked outside only to see the giant rip in the sky. [i]Oh gods, this cannot be happening.[/i] She turned to use shunpo and vanished, reappearing at the ceremony. She hurried forward, pushing her way through the crowds, trying to find the captain commander.

Yen tai was floating high above Melodi as he Thrusts Amai into the air and a Giant flame wall protected the backside of the retreating shinigami's. He slowly came down near Melodi as he ran, looking at her for only a second before actually noticing her. [color="#FF0000"]"Melodi? Thank god you are running, some of the foolish Shinigami turned blade and attacked regardless of command. Don't those fools understand that there will be no hope for taking this place back if we don't have anyone to form a striking force with?"[/color]

"What in the name of the gods is going on, Yen?!" Melodi yelled over the crowd. Melodi was still running but was slowly increasing her height as she started to run up an invisible incline on the air to join Yen Tai. "And I'm inclined to join the shinigami that turned to attack. This bloody attack interrupted my composing." Her eyes shone for a split second as she thought of her beautiful instruments. She knew she was most likely going to lose them in the attack but she would get revenge. She closed her eyes as she ran and breathed deeply to calm down. She focused on the heavy metal that was currently blasting from her headphones. It was a wonder that she could hear Yen Tai at all.

Yen Tai swung his blade as if he was orcheastrating the flames. A Giant Right wing of flame wall guarded the other side of the retreating army as arrancar were trying to sneak around his last giant wall. [color="#FF0000"]"Weeell... It goes like this. Some crazy mad-man in HM had reformed the espada and assisted in the creation of new Arrancar. These Monsters were the leading advance of this attacking party. The Captain Commander was assassinated. We are all meating up in that cave that we all were taught about upon entry. So get to those cordinates, It should take a week before we are all there. By now!"[/color] Yen tai shot forth through the are and landed in a close by city as he charged, leaving a small trail of quickly evaporating flames in the wake of his new found speed. A young boy walked into Yen's path and Yen Picked him up in his arms without noticing as he charged forward into a caveren.

"Holy-" A giant explosion erupted from afar. "Gyah!" Mal crashed into the ground, looking up with his arm over his head. "You take Shogi way to far grandma!" He ran away from the raging woman yelling 'cheater' at him as he ran. "I didn't cheat, I just won!" He tripped and fell on the ground, in front of Yen. "Sorry sir," Mal picked himself up and wiped off his knees. He looked at the person he almost ran into. His eyes widened, "C..Captain Yen." He gave a salute. Yen shot past him, though. "Uh..."

The boy struggled in Captain Yen's grasp "Hey! Let me go!" he yelled, but after no response, the boy remained silent "(My name.... Akarui.... I can just barely remember it... am I alive? Or am I dead? I don't remember... I don't remember..... I don't remember..... anything.)" the young boy thought, he looked up at the man who was carrying him, he wasn't sure, but he fit the description of what the people around him called "A Soul Reaper?" Akarui asked out loud "What is a Soul Reaper?" he whispered as he looked at the man again.

After Yen got far far away from the towns surounding his home, he set the boy down. They were near a vally, at the ledge of the cliff that fell into a lot of rushing water that pretty far down. Yen sat the boy down to his side and heard what he whispered. [color="#FF0000"]"We are the protecters of souls and those who pass-judgement upon hollows."[/color] Yen said in a cool away that didn't sound practiced. [color="#FF0000"]"Well, thats just what I think. A Better question for you boy, is what and who are you?"[/color] Yen Asked, letting Amai return to sealed state, which didn't really visually change anything, setting it back in its sheath.

"I only know my name, which is Akarui, the rest. I don't remember. I don't even know if I'm dead or alive, or if this is all a dream." Akarui explained as he looked in another direction. He looked back at Yen "I have questions for you, who are you and why did you pick me up like that?" Akarui demanded. He looked at Yen and then his anger subsided, he looked the other way, as if he were looking for something. "(He's right.... who am I?)" Akarui thought as he looked to the sky, then down the cliff, then back at Yen.

Yako was somewhat surprised by the Arrancar attack and the assassination of the captain commander. Yako stood in the middle of the chaos as he prepared to head off to the cavern. “Harvest, Thanatos!” Yako said as his scythes split into two. Yako created multiple black orb fields to prevent the some of the Arrancar from harm people “Dang, it’s been a while since I used this. It’s a lot more tiring than I thought.” Yako panted. As he ran ahead towards the cave he noticed most of the Shinigami running away and fighting off the Arrancar “Such chaos, damn Arrancar. So much for a nice, peaceful day…they just now ruined it for me”

[color="#FF0000"]"Boy, my name is Captain Yen Tai and I can tell you 2 things for certain. 1, Only souls can exist here and 2, this is for certainly not a dream. The only thing I am unsure of, is why I picked you up. Maybe its a natural instinct. You said that you know your name, but thats all you knew? Then I suppose that means you do not have a home to stay in? Maybe the Gotei 13 can take custody of you till the whole Arrancar mess is subsided. They are certaintly taking those souls as prizoners, maybe even feeding off them if they don't have any civilty, so you'd be better off coming with me."[/color]

"Then I'm dead... I wonder how I died. And fine, I'll stay with you. And one more question, what are Hollows and what are Arrancars?" Akarui asked "And what's going on?" Akarui ended his question barrage... for now. He looked around the area, with a confused look on his face, still unsure if it was a dream or not. "This is just a load of hell." Akarui whispered, almost unable to be heard. He looked to the sky again, then back at Yen with a look of confusion.

The moment the hollows began to appear Oharue's spirits lifted, she had been in a foul mood for most of the ceremony for a multitude of reasons but now it seemed she could not only let off some steam but show everyone just how [i]awesome[/i] she was. With a gleeful grin she drew her zanpaktou and ran towards the attacking hollows, bringing her blade down to slice through the mask of the nearest one, letting out a yell of triumph as the creature toppled over and disintegrated.

While she had expected the rest of the Soul Reapers to launch into battle as well, she instead noticed most of them just running away.

[b]"Pansies,"[/b] she muttered, turning back to the hollows [b]"How half'a them gotta be captains while I'm just a damn vice-captain I don't know."[/b]

She let her anger subside for a moment though, all that meant was more hollows to herself. She grinned broadly as more hollows noticed her and let out a feral roar before charging blindly.

[b]"Stand atop the world and look down on all creation!"[/b] She recited, gripping her zanpaktou by the handle and the blade [b]"Inoshishimusha!"[/b]

On command her weapon morphed, becoming a pole-arm weapon crackling with lightning as Oharue wasted no time and charged into the crowd of masked beasts, swinging her blade and sending body parts and lightning flying everywhere. While most people where panicking, Oharue was having the time of her life.

Tokoro was just stood to one side while the battle arrancar's just flooded the battle feild, him not knowing most of the obvious things simply took out a note book and a golf pencil and began to write, [i]"observation: screams of terror, pain and anguish. public opinion: looks at dissolving corpses faces indicate unpleasant. Possible names: war cries, conflict or music. Personal opinion: un desireable"[/i].

suddenly a rather large cluster of low level ar came charge through the seireitei, and Tokoro decided to go on offencesive.

he turned the pages in his book to the section [i]"Kidō"[/i], tokoro then put his book away and raised his arm pointing his palm to the sky "[b]Hado 4. Hikari yuki-nym[/b]" a blue light was shot into the clouds, and it started to snow.

"[b]bakudo 7. Suwarō, release-nym[/b]" he opened his mouth and his zanpakuto came from out of his mouth, he drew his blade and stuck it in the ground with his scabbard remaining in his hand. "[b]awake and reap, Rosa-nym[/b]", his scabbard became white and surrounded his arms. he placed his arms flat (with the palms facing up) antowards the enemy and said "[b]Dry snow bloom-nym[/b]". all the arrancar just fell to the floor covered with tiny pin holes that went straight through their bodies. by the time the bodies had disolved the last snow drop fell to the ground

he then sheathed his blade and said "[b]bakudo 7. Suwarō-nym[/b]", he then proceeded to swallow his zanpakuto whole. tokoro took out his book and went to the section "[i]unexpected events[/i]" and read "[i]Orders: if captain commander has been murdered, proceed to the designated area. compliance: yes[/i]".

he started to proceed towards the cave slowly on foot

Juro Hazama, the captain of the 4th division, known as the Burning Angel, looked at what had happened to the sky. He wasn't in a good mood today, or hardly any day at all. The moment the flood of arrancars came into place, was the moment he was at the Ceremony, watching these "new recruits" being taken to place. He didn't really care much, he just wanted to get this thing over with. Having his zanpaktou, Schwarz-Verbrennung, carried on his shoulder, he quietly dropped his right arm. Arrancars rushed to the big and aloof captain, only to be slaughtered by one simple swing to the neck. His strength was immense, followed by his tremendous velocity. [i]"......"[/i] He looked at other arrancars coming....

....it was time to get even more serious.

He suspected that most of the captains would stand and fight to the death, but looking around, realizing that most of the captains were running away. [i]"And I have to work with these fools? This is why I'm better off alone." [/i] He muttered, his voice of tone and words more emotionless then his facial expression. Time seemed to pass, giving Juro the perfect time.

[i]"Burn everything to darkness..."[/i] He recited his shikai release phrase, his immense spiritual pressure shooting straight from his body, [i]"...Schwarz-Verbrennung!" [/i]His red color of his immense spiritual pressure turned to the color black. Black colored flames with blue outline bursted all around Juro, his clothes stayed the same.

The only thing changing was his zanpaktou, having his zanpaktou being generated into a blade of black flames, also growing angel wings made of black flames on his back. He slowly lifted himself off the air, levitating to 5 inches off the ground. He pointed his blade to the arrancars, soaring to them in high motion of velocity.

He swiped at each arrancar that crossed his path, slaughtering them, burning them, decapitating them, killing them. He was having no fun at all, bunch of weak arrancars.

as Tokoro was walking to the cave, he noticed the Captain of the 4th division, and thought it would be a excellent time to learn some socail skills, he got out his little book and turned to the page "[i]socail situations[/i]" and read [i]"when in a social situation it is common practice to join in on their current activaties, turn to 'greetings, conversations and titles'"[/i].

he continued to read and then brought out his zanpakuto, he started to mindlessly kill oncoming arrancar and then said to Juro "[b]good morning Hazama-sama-nym[/b]". tokoro wiped the blood of his blade and continued to speak "[b]strange wheather were having-nym, how is your family-nym?[/b]".

tokoro sheathed his blade and started to write [i]"first contact made, light conversation engaged and waiting for result from Hazama-sama"[/i].

[i]Ugh, the others are fighting,[/i] Melodi thought to herself.[i]I guess I might as well help the evacuation. I have a feeling we've already lost Soul Society.[/i]

"Sing your song to the world, Sakushika," Melodi yelled to the air, using shunpo to close the gap with the closest Arrancar, swiftly cutting off one of it's arms with Sakushika, a pure tone ringing out over the battlefield. She continued to strike the enemy, hitting both swords and body parts, getting faster and faster until she was a blur in the middle of the Arrancar ground troops, her presence only marked by the sounds of screams as she fought with the enemy. [i]Yen better get the shinigami evacuated fast. Once the big guys come out to play we're going to need to retreat.[/i]

Slicing through every Arrancar with powerful, single, precise cuts that was in his way, or just for the fun of it, Juro looked to the side, seeing the captain of the 7th division, Tokoro helping him, while also trying to make conversation. Tokoro was of use with his kido spells, but he should just stick to fighting instead of conversating. [i]"Shouldn't you be fighting then conversating? When all of us don't die, then we can have this "captain-to-captain talk" later."[/i] He wasn't really in the mood to talk. Why? Simple, the arrancar flood has just started. He stood in the middle of the arrancar battlefield, slicing every arrancar that came in his way.

[i]Man these little bastards are a pain... I need to find someone my worthy of fighting.[/i] Juro thought to hmself, overhearing one of the captains, Melodi, talking about retreating and big guys. [i]"Once the big guys show up, we fight. If we retreat, they'll only hunt us down more."[/i] Juro said, getting his either valid or unvalid point across.

His wings started flapping again, 4 inches off the ground this time this time. He looked at the mess his way, burned, destroyed bodies all over. He let out a small sigh, which chnaged into a sly smirk, putting his shikai blade over his shoulder, the fire not affecting him.

[i]"Where is the real competition?"[/i] He boasted out saying, already bored with this little game of kill the small Arrancar.

[King of Nothing]

Mal lifted his head, noticing the infestation that had begun. [i]What? When did this happen?[/i] He was so wrapped up in thinking about what the 2nd squad captain was up to, he didn't even notice the attack. It seemed like retreat was the solution chosen. "Well, I guess it's time for me to show some of my magic. Entertain, Shira!" His sword began to straighten out, turning into a pole. A small black hat, almost like a darkened monopoly piece, was ontop of the rod. Mal placed Shira into the ground as the arrancar began to have more childish impulses.

"Bakudo Spell #30, Shitotsu Sansen!" A golden dot was placed on Mal's finger, and Mal created a triangle with the dot. Three beams of light shot from the triangle, straight towards an arrancar, pinning the arrancar into a building. Mal flash stepped in front of the arrancar and smiled, placing his hand below the arrancar's chin. "I'm not feeling very merciful today. Hado Spell #1, Sho!" A wave of pressure from Mal's hand pushed at the chin, but the pins forced the arrancar to stay down. It caused quite a bit of chin and neck damage towards the arrancar. Mal's Shikai was doing it's job very well, lowering the defenses of the arrancar.

Mal flash stepped away from the now pinned arrancar. "Advance Retreat Squad Captain, Mal!" Mal shouted, "All injured, sick and old, come towards me!" Mal looked around towards the people he'd have to protect.

Yet again tokoro's attempt at socail interaction had failed, but being used to it he was more keen to impress someone. at that point he realised that he was susposed to get a lieutenant, then he realised he was susposed to be in charge of a squad and lastly he remembered that he was susposed to get the admiration of the soul society for being the rank of captain. so not out of rage or spite or even simple pettyness but mere out of impatience like that of a child who was promised candy, he desired to act with out mercy.

tokoro wrote in his book "[i]socail interaction with Hazama-sama: Failure. Hazama-sama status: currently friend, potential foe. next course of action: eradicate the intruding arrancar with a close proximatey, then proceed to the designated area with juro.[/i]".

tokoro raised his arm pointing his palm to the sky "[b]Hado 4. Hikari yuki-nym[/b]" a blue light was shot into the clouds, and it started to snow.

he put his blade to one side and and grabbed his scabbard "[b]awake and reap, Rosa-nym[/b]", again his scabbard became white and surrounded his arms. he placed his arms flat (with the palms facing up) spread out as if he were a child imitating a helicopte and said "[b]Dry snow bloom-nym[/b]".

tokoro quickly spun round on the spot and like before all the arrancar had dropped to the floor full of holes, all accept the arrancar that was blocked from his vision by the presence of Juro. tokoro side stepped to reveal the presence of the remaining arrancar he pulled the fist of his left arm back and said "[b]Hakkō senkō-nym[/b]"

at that instance tokoro appeared to disappear from sight, it appeared to be a shunpo with a difference. tokoro was stood behind the remaining arrancar who were now corpse lying on the floor, "[b]Hazama-sama-nym, we have been ordered to retreat to the designated area-nym[/b]", tokoro undid his shikai, sheathed his sword and proceeded walking.

Kazuya stood watching the weaker arrancar being attacked, suppressing his spiritual energy so that it felt similar to that of those arrancar's as he then moved into the air above. "Seems this got their attention.. hm.. should we hunt them all down here or let them think they've won leaving these underlings.." he continued as two other arrancar raised into the air nearby one looking like he expected the worst result possible and the other as if they expected the best, each replying with opposite results, the girl saying to press the attack and they'd come out on top while the boy talked of retreating for now. "hm.. oh well I don't quite like this cold we'll at least give them a small show for now before letting Kane see what to do with the rest" he said as he moved through the air "Yonde, Rejendo!" he then said as his spiritual energy rose to roughly half the amount being suppressed by concentration as he moved through the mass of shinigami finding the one who made it snow, "The snow doesn't really suit me.." he then said sounding bored to the shinigami as Rosutoenjeru and Grim stayed back, Grim killing any shinigami that came at them with his three swords.

[Hydra of Ages]

Kaimoku watched the screen passively, even as the ravening horrors of Hueco Mundo descended into the Seireitei. Once or twice, she tapped a nail against the side of her chair, expression neutral and yet still somehow irritated.

While some of her squad had left the building, either to defend it against the hoards of enemies or run away, she still had most of her Seats remaining. The bespeckled Shinigami group was a ragtag group of intellectuals and spineless cowards, and as such they watched the arrancar invaders with a mix of horror and curiosity. Undoubtedly most would have run by now if they thought there was a safer spot than the Twelfth Division Tower.

"Prepare the Mark VII Kido Cannons," she said after a moment, "And load the Waterfall Low-Profile Ion Cannon."

There was a moment of silence, followed by the shuffling of action as the hierarchy worked itself and the lower-ranked members left to preform their tasks. Her forth seat, a toady-looking man in an oily lab coat cleared his throat after a moment. "Erm, sir? The Waterfall Cannon? But... that was only made for testing purposes..."

Kaimoku stared at him from the corner of her eye, causing him to lock up. "I'm aware of what the Waterfall Low-Profile Ion Cannon was built for. Make the necessary adjustments. Unless you propose we split Reishei particles and turn Soul Society into a ball of infinitely hot plasma, the Waterfall is the only weapon with a Reishei Engine capable of reaching amplitudes necessary to destroy a Garganta. I'm trusting you're capable of making the necessary adjustments." She looked at him up and down. "Though that may be overestimating your ability."

The toady man nodded several times. "Of course sir! How could I not... erm, I'll get right on that, sir!" he hurred off. Kaimoku turned and with a flick of her wrist, changed to a different camera view.

A wide grin was pasted across Oharue's face as she cut through hollow after hollow, they may have been only small fry but that just made it so much more satisfying to cut them down in their masses with ease. Though she would have to admit she was certainly looking for a more powerful opponent somewhere within these endless hordes. It seemed her wish was granted as she sensed a flux in nearby spiritual pressure, turning about to see an arrancar plowing through hordes of shinigami with ease.

She would have made her way in his direction if her lack of attention hadn't allowed another hollow to sneak up on her and, with a mighty swing of a fist the size of a small car, sent her flying backwards and through a wall before landing in a heap in the rubble.

[b]"Hey, sneakin' up is cheatin' a******!"[/b] She yelled, wiping a speck of blood out of her eye.

Before she could re-enter the fray another shinigami appeared next to her on his knees.

[b]"Vice-Captain Namine,"[/b] the shinigami began [b]"You where ordered to make for the meeting point upon the captain-commander's death, please proceed there now."[/b]

[b]"Are you kidding me?"[/b] Oharue snapped [b]"I ain't done here yet."[/b]

[b]"I'm afraid I must insist,"[/b] the shinigami continued [b]"We have reason to believe a power greated than the arrancar may be arriving."[/b]

[b]"Even more reason to stay an' fight,"[/b] Oharue replied.

[b]"Vice-Captain Namine..."[/b]

[b]"Alright fine, keep ye'r pants on, geez,"[/b] she grimaced.

Reluctantly she shunpo'd away from the scene, making her way to the cave with the rest of the captains.

Melodi saw several captains shunpoing away and decided to follow their example, quickly turning away from the battle and resealing her Zanpakatou. [i]Finally,[/i] She thought to herself. [i]I wonder who sent out the orders for retreat.[/i] As she flash stepped towards the cave, she wondered on her workroom and her instruments. She hoped they were still there and unharmed. It would take forever to rebuild most of them and she already had a fond affection for anything she had made. As she arrived she saw some of the other captains and lieutenants waiting around. She found a nice corner and sat down, focusing only on the music from her headphones, waiting for someone to take charge.
