Last week's extra rep edition got me plenty of points to resume as normal! In the fuiture I think the entry fee will be bumped to 2 but for now lets celebrate the 10th!

Rules
1: All general YCM rules apply.
2: Serious card submissions.
3: Written cards accepted but would prefer pictures since art is provided.
4: I prefer cards PMed to me rather then posted here. When contest ends I will post all entries.
5: 3 qualities I score based upon- creativity, balance, and playability.

Entry Fee = 1 point.

Prizes
1st: 20 points + 2 reps.
2nd: 10 point + 1 reps.
3rd: 5 points.

Deadline = Monday June 27th.

Task
I post a normal monster. Send me a retrained version with the same attribute, type, ATK, DEF, and level but with an effect added. You may add any special effect type such as tuner, union, gemini, spirit, flip, etc. Also you can even make it into a ritual (must send ritual card as well), fusion, synchro, or even exceed (same amount of stars). Changing the name is completely optional. You can send up to 3 optional support cards if you wish.

STONE DRAGON
This RTV's first level 7 vanilla! Fun fact: This has the lowest attack of any level 7 vanilla tied with Slot Machine but I feel that card has too much anime history to really deserve a retraining.

You are free to edit the artwork anyway you wish but just know it will not affect your score at all. I don't grade artwork. For you too, the deadline is today and I would like to start judging about now.

When this card is Synchro Summoned: Change it to Defense Position. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Monsters cannot be Special Summoned. Each time you Set a monster: you can show it to your opponent; If it's a Rock-Type monster: Inflict 900 damage to your opponent.

The ATK and DEF should stay the same, not both 300 higher

If your pictures only have a little text you don't need to send me the lore but this week a lot of people sent pics alone without lore when the effect in the picture was very hard to read.

Pretty straightforward. Just fusing rocks to destroy cards at the cost the attacking. Seems pretty balanced and flavorful.

Pretty strange to have banishing a card as a cost does seem strange. Having a destroy and a unstoppable banish effect seems really powerful but it is a level 7 gemini and does cost 2000 LP. It is a little extreme but not really bad.

Hell yeah! Canyon support! This thing has a lot of grammar mistakes but I pretty much know what you are talking about. Draw power is a big thing but it feels balanced. Piercing seems right too. Only thing might be with lots of Canyons, Terraforming, and the silly Psuedo-Space it might be pretty easy to get 3 of these out in one turn! But the card itself isn't really searchable so the combo isn't that outrageous.

I love Black Stego's effect! But I would never waste 2 tributes on this thing for it.

You can banish 1 face-up EARTH monster you control: Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can send this face-up card you control to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 EARTH monster with 2000 or less ATK from your Graveyard. If you control a face-up EARTH monster(s) while this card is in your Graveyard: Both players cannot attack face-down Defense Position monster. When a Level 5 or higher EARTH monster you control is banished and this card is in your Graveyard: Randomly discard 1 card from your hand; activate the appropriate effects based on the type of card discarded:
- Spell: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent.
- Trap: Destroy 1 Defense Position monster.
- Monster: Special Summon 1 EARTH monster with 1800 or less ATK from your Deck

This thing has a LOT of effects. Which by themselves are pretty good but all together it feels pretty chunky for one monster. Plus they kind of have synergy with each other, I definitely see combo with multiples of them but they do seem like very disconnected effects.

This card is also treated as a Dragon-Type monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: Destroy 1 card your opponent controls. Once per turn, during your opponent's Main Phase: Tribute 1 Rock-Type monster; change this card into Defense Position and increase its DEF equal to half of the Tributed monster's DEF, until your opponent's End Phase. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: Tribute 1 Dragon-Type monster; change this card into Attack Position and increase this card's ATK equal to the Tributed monster's Level x 200, until your End Phase.

We get the basic destruction effect upon normal summoning. But then we get we get tributing of types two types to change position and increase stats. It is a niffy creative idea but again the card feels really chunky and dragged down by so much text and effects.

Nice! Seems like a fair cannot be destroyed by battle effect because it relies on tributes when attacked. Plus killing what attacked it works well with it. Good job.

You can Normal Summon this card without Tributes. When Summoned this way, this card's ATK is halved. Depending on the number of Tributes used to summon this card, activate 1 of the following effects:
1 tribute:When this card leaves the field, you can special summon 1 Level 4 or lower EARTH monster from your graveyard.
2 tributes: This card inflicts Piercing Damage.
3 tributes: Double this card's original ATK. Once per turn., you can discard 1 card in your hand to destroy a card on the field.

Hmm quite versatile. The 3 tribute one seems pretty powerful but i guess it is comparable to Obelisk. Seems really well done. I almost missed it but you made it a LIGHt attribute which would be against the rules, I will take it that it was just a mistake of clicking the wrong thing.

Needs a lot of monsters in the graveyard. But it is pretty good. I like how in addition to ATK bump it also gets Ancient Gear effect if you go for the full power-up.

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Legend Set In Stone". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Level Stars equal 7 or more from the field or your hand. When a Rock-Type monster you control is targeted for an attack: Flip the attack target face-down. Any Battle Damage your opponent would receive is doubled.

I cringe a little bit because the wording makes it seem that like Darkness Approaches you can have a face-down attack position monster. Besides that the effect is neat. I like the second effect of the spell card too. The trap cards seems alright but pretty broken if 2 or 3 were used at once. The Chimera is fine but pretty "meh".

Real simple and straight-forward but seems to work perfectly!

I feel like this might have better if it had the line "You can only control 1 Stone Dragon." Having 3 of these in your opening hand makes hand seems very One-Turn Killish. Besides that the summon and even the ATK boost is cool. The burn damage seems very random but not a problem.

I like the requirements a lot! Plus the flip face-down effect is very different from what we typically see. Normally we see n effect trigger on flip summon or just flip but this thing is more like a light switch with an on and off effect. Very creative, flavorful, unique, and interesting.

Seeing how synchro can be put in defense position when synchro-ed this just says you can't put it in attack the turn summoned. Can't be destroyed by battle and can't special summon are 2 very powerful effect. Together with no real drawback is a lot. Revealing the set monster is different but in most cases probably counter-productive.

About the new OCG, since is announced that piercing damage will be used in the new OCG, everyone uses: "This card inflicts piercing damage".
Whlie that is only the OCG of cyberdark horn and it won't be used for any other cards. The real new OCG should be: "this card attacks a Defense Position monster: inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent."
