Wow.
I thought I was the only one here on that boat.
But I'm perfectly fine with NaruHina if it turns out that way.

And I never have the patience to read through a whole Trope page unless it's short for some reason...

For GaaSaku or NaruSaku?

Even if their interaction leaves no basis for them getting together, fandom has gotten to me, but ShikaTema is still my OTP.

NaruSaku
The spin-off anime seems to be thinking likewise.

Come to think of it, why does Rock Lee get a spinoff and not Shikamaru?
Probably because Lee's more fitting as a Shonen protagonist than Shikamaru, but I like them both a lot.
Poor Raikage...actually nah, I laughed my a*s off at him in black lightning undergarments.
These should come out more regularly, dammit.
RIGHT. Time to get this place more active. What do you think would have changed if Sakura and Jiraiya died at the hands of Pein during Jiraiya's fight with him? How would the plot have changed and would it have been worth it? Would the manga have stepped up or down in quality and why? Also, how would the interaction have been different with Sasuke at 5 Kage Summit? Discuss to your heart's content.

You know, I've learned from experience, a Club won't spring back to life because of some bunch of questions you ask. Because people aren't compelled to answer random questions. You ought to give them something they'd like to hear. And discuss.

In fact, there's something I've been feeling off about the latest Naruto chapters. The power creep is getting a bit quick. It really sounds like they're just shoving and shoving to reach a climax too quickly, and suddenly the Juubi can just fire Bijuudamas wherever in the damn world it wants to. And with all the exposition and climax of the war, they've kinda left out the whole bunch of Sasuke and company. Are they going to hell or what? I prefer side stories not to cool off, otherwise they get confusing when you pick them up again.

Heh, you're one of the first people I've seen to say that Naruto is ending too quickly. xD But about the Sasuke thing, maybe it's just not time for Kishimoto's plans to come out yet.

Hate to say it, but Sakura dying by Pain probably wouldn't change much aside from Naruto having a lot more angst and maybe propelling that whole "Dark Naruto" bit farther than it did.

Well, it's not really unrealistic for the Juubi to be able to fire off multiple Bijuu Bombs.
It's like the strongest thing in existence and it was still building power up until it transformed into this Demon Potato Beast.
As for aim, well, it's being controlled directly by Madara and Obito right now. I don't think it can fire a bomb at something on the other side of the globe, the point is it can hit pretty damn far and it doesn't need to really go looking for villagers or the Daimyo.

As for Sasuke, no clue bro.
I still have a feeling one of the final battles of the series will be Sasuke vs Orochimaru, but it also depends on what Orochimaru's secret is that's supposed to turn the tide of war.

Well that's the thing that I don't like about the "changing the tide of war" deal. When he said that, the army was still fighting Kages and Zetsus. Unless what he really meant by that was using Harishama cells to control the Juubi (oh hey, this again, might as well be a running gag), or something else that will most likely be irrelevant by the time they come around to actually affecting the war. I can already taste the anticlimax.

Yeah, we might as well just say the Rinnegan controls the plot now. People thought that the Sharingans were enough, but then Kishimoto introduced that combined with Hashirama's cells, you get the Rinnegan. Considering the diversity of Akatsuki's ability styles, I can see why this got annoying to some people.

I agree that the power creep is getting to be a bit punch. Come to think of it, we've technically been at the same battle for almost a year, aside from the times we've focused on the other battles going on. Compare Naruto headbutting Tobi to where we are now. Kishimoto's taking all the various threads and just leading them into one place, so right now, whatever Orochimaru and Sasuke are doing, that's the only perspective left to look at things from.

Most people have compared the Juubi to Bulbasaur. At this point I don't think anyone believes it's at its final form. Just look at how many forms Naruto went through against Pain, and even then he skipped two. What if Madara and Obito get Bee, or even Naruto? Of course, we still have no clue what plan Shikaku left to Shikamaru and Ino.

Eh, I'll give you that. Dojutsus became a bigger thing than they should have.
A little confusing concerning Mangekyo powers too, seeing that Madara has the same MS powers that Itachi and Sasuke do.

I have a feeling they'll get Bee and that'll strengthen the Juubi some more.

Too much is uncertain right now to see where things'll go, but it should be good.

So right now my thought is...well, technically three things.

1: What is with all of this stuff happening? I mean, I get the whole thing about this being the Juubi with all of the nations of the world fighting against it and all, but still, this just seems to be getting to be a bit much. :/

2: Is there really going to be another arc after this like some people say, or is it just going to end here? I personally think it's going to end here, because it's starting to get that rushed feeling that KHR had in the last few chapters.

3: When are they finally going to get back to the plot involving the Hawk and the Snake? >:U (Sasuke and Orochimaru)

Well, that would be war.
And some people haven't sat well with Naruto transcending to DBZ power, to each their own I suppose. Personally, I like that everything's going batshit crazy.

Depends on your definition of arc. If you mean another story line after the war ends, no, definitely not. This is it.
You don't have to worry about a KHR ending, Kishimoto said the manga's got another 1-2 years to wrap everything up properly and unlike Reborn, Naruto's still delivering in sales, so the manga wouldn't be canned.
We should be getting a proper conclusion, no worries.

They should be due soon. The war's at a critical point right now and that scroll Suigetsu found will supposedly turn the tides of the war, so that should be coming into play soon.
Though at the same time, it kinda completed Neji's character nicely as a whole. I'm going to miss him.
Nah, Kishimoto wouldn't use it as a plot device twice.
...or I should say, he wouldn't use it in the same way twice, that being bringing back all the dead good guys.

There are many more casualties from this battle than from Pain as well; I doubt Rinne Tensei would be able to be used for more than a village's worth.

You know what? No.

I want piles and piles of main characters. I want Obito to be winning, and right.

Then I want the friendship speech and the somehow-win-anyway. ONLY THEN.

Side note. Does the Juubi look more and more like this to anyone?

I just want Shikamaru and the Sand Siblings to make it out of here.
If any of them were to die, it'd be Kankuro, probably. Gaara's safe, and Shikamaru pretty much is at this point.

I see Bee, Guy, Tsunade and Sakura as possible deaths, but who knows.

Same for me and Guy, haha.

Though Tsunade's pretty much a goner at this point, wouldn't you say so?
Her legs were split off...
