Honestly, as I get older and come to terms with my terms with the fact I still like anime (Read: Caeda thinks its cute), I really think... what makes Anime so different than anything else?

If Naruto was a book, no one would care that you read it. The only reason people give a damn is because it's animated. Oh, and it's not from America/England/Wherever.

There's no reason to "grow out of anime" because you don't grow out of reading, really. You can drift away, but not grow out.

Yeah, the stereotypes that come with it bug me. I'm always having an arm over my laptop screen at school so people don't see Haruhi Suzumiya whenever I visit Anime Planet >>
Anime's definitely not for kids though, there are people in their 50s who are still into it .-.
I'm always seeing men posting about watching animes with their wives and I can't help but think, "Damn, that's pretty awesome."

The only thing that makes me nervous is if I get with a girl and her feelings change because I'm into Japanese stuff. I guess that's my worst fear if I ever do get lucky.

I wouldn't want to be with a girl that changes her feelings about me just because I like japanese stuff anyway, unless it has some kind of major trauma in her life or something. It's like breaking up with somebody because they like french toast or burritos, which I love btw.

So, I was playing around on google translate, and I learned something interesting.

ひゅうが = Kanji for "Hyuuga"
ひなた = Kanji for "Hinata" = Sunny Place in English
日向ひゅうが = Hinata Hyuga

The Kanji for Hyuuga can alternately be written as Hinata, in Romaji.

Huh.
If I were an artist, I would immediately proceed to draw Hinata in Mario's clothing.
So I typed in Hinata Mario on google and got this

So that girl next to the leopard...thing
Is she like...an Uchiha maid?

See, this is why I'll never cosplay.
Actually, I imagine it'd be fun to cosplay as like

L, Light, etc

ya know, normal-ish

And yes, I believe she is XD

IF I ever HAD to cosplay, it'd be as Light.
All I'd do is wear a school uniform and carry around a Death Note, easy.

Ridiculous how people spend like $60 doing it...
AND grow out your hair ;P

I can see you attempting to do like

Teen Gohan, tho

...eh
I guess that'd only require some hair gel.
But I'd just feel silly wearing that gi.
oh, come on

Admit it, some part of you would absolutely love it ;3

Thankfully the other part would win over.

Mostly because the Springtime of Youth would need to be properly represented by a not-so-Italian Italian plumber in a green shirt, hat and blue overalls.

Because that would be true dedication.

Also, I've decided that I would cosplay as myself.

I'm part of a story, therefore I am now a fictional character. As such I can be cosplayed.

Therefore I would be myself in order to cosplay as myself.

Of course, the hardest thing would be to build an arm-mounted MoonStone Cannon.

I think I could manage though.

Also, if any of us cosplayed as our DEF selves we would also be doing free advertising (I would go so far as to carry a copy of the story with me to show other people).
