Akatsuki of YCM: The Last Stand
It was on this day one year ago
Black saw the light and looked below
There he saw Caeda standing up and professing
He gasped, he realized she was confessing
He looked in his heart and he felt the same
Caeda looked beautful, she had nothing lame
They went off on a journey with lots of splendor
Some bumps and dirt paths shook it up like a blender
But they stayed straight and true, they kept going forward
So here they are one year later, ready to go toward
A spectacular wedding
Magnificent bedding
DL knelt on the floor
Kicked straight out the door
So starts a long life of wonders and many events
I have seen true love, least that's my two cents
That one toward line is the only iffy part for me.
I have a little friend, his name's BT
He's got mad spunk, though he's at my knee
BT my buddy, he knows what's up (ha!)
BT my 'migo, never watched 2 Girls, 1 Cup (ho!)
BT can draw, god damn he's great
Looking at his lineart, you gotta 'ppreciate
All his hard work, the guy's got grit
Lookin at his Santa, man the details fit
Drawing ain't all of it, he got mad skills
His GX is ballin, it's fulla thrills
Not to mention he's awesome at dueling
Facing him in battle, god damn it's grueling
I heard he Egyptian, that's pretty tight
Seeing all his swag, I kinda wanna fight
Man who would win smack dab in the ring?
Between the Wiseman and the GFX King?
But in the end, none of it matters
At the end of the day, BT's no ianwatters
He's my friend and my partner, we'll take on life
With all our youthful vigor, we ain't got no strife.
As for your questions, I'll let Black answer them if he wants to.

Looks like I need to put it on my to-watch list.
Is it really better than YGO?
Well better is a hard call. Yugioh is much more serious with all the saving the world stuff.

In 63 episodes so far the only thing the villains seem to be aiming for is winning then national tournament and becoming the best card fighters in japan.

Cardfight Vanguard is certainly more hilarious than yugioh. From episode one the game mechanics and the large amounts of engrish will be pretty funny and such.

It's ever so slightly more realistic as well. The main's aren't invincible. The best way to have a good win ratio in the game it seems is to not play.

The characters are nice enough. In general it's probably nothing new or amazing but the game is engaging when played and watched to a point too and the presentation is both funny and rather badass at times.

More realistically based then. Cortez was telling me it's not as unbelievable as YGO can get either with the advanced holograms and whatnot.
The fact that the main isn't a Sue is good enough for me. I'll give it a shot.
...sometime.
The funny thing is the main technically does have "Special powers" but it becomes an important plot point and all that mostly around whether or not he wants to use them. But yeah Aichi (the main) loses a loooot early on.

That's fine. I mean, he has to have something special about him, or else why would he be the main?
And that's good, I like seeing progressive heroes start off badly and get better with time.
And that's a rad haiku DL.

It is sorta funny. Aichi does seem to show typical noob progression in the game.

Minus the powers and such as that throws a wrench into things.

But first he's doing things that with experience you realize aren't necessary or actually hurt you more than you think they're helping.

Most notable is that his deck is pretty bad when he starts and both he and his deck get to grow and progress as the series continues.

Well yeah it's sorta funny.

Ass pulls do come into vanguard but generally much later in the anime. And by ass pull, it's mostly more miracle top-decking.

The whole special power thing is sorta centered around constant ass-pulling and such.

In general vanguard is also a game that has a lot to do with luck. All depending on what are called "triggers" showing up and when they do. At the same time however you can still severely mess up what cards you have drawn. So skill makes what you get works, luck saves or ruins the day.

Even so, I'll still try out CV. Sounds too good to pass up.
So uh...yeah, I'm nonplussed.
Like everything revealed in this chapter caught me off guard.

IS ANYONE ELSE A REDHEAD IN THIS MANGA?
THEY'RE ALL UZUMAKIS I TELL YA

I didn't quite understand Kabuto's explanation of Jugo's powers...but then again, I'm too obsessed with his MOTHERF*CKING DRAGON-BASED SAGE MODE.
HOT DAMN.

Some people could say only revealing this Dragon Temple place now is bad storytelling, but hey, it fits. Orochimaru would need to go somewhere to gain summoning contracts, wouldn't he? And it makes sense there's a snake master to teach snake techniques much like there was for frogs at Mount Myoboku.
I'm betting that Woods place is where Katsuyu lives and where Tsunade went to train.
It's also the series where the main character is always unbelievable good for no explained reason.
In 63 episodes so far the only thing the villains seem to be aiming for is winning then national tournament and becoming the best card fighters in japan.
... he's not really a villain. He's just an antagonist.
Cardfight Vanguard is certainly more hilarious than yugioh. From episode one the game mechanics and the large amounts of engrish will be pretty funny and such.
Definitely. And they actually stay good with characters throughout the series, rather than swaying that happens in a certain Yugioh anime. *coughcough5dscoughcough&
It's ever so slightly more realistic as well. The main's aren't invincible. The best way to have a good win ratio in the game it seems is to not play.
Or you can be Kai. But he's just a beast.
The characters are nice enough. And they actually have character in them. In general it's probably nothing new or amazing but the game is engaging when played and watched to a point too and the presentation is both funny and rather badass at times.
Not only that, but you see people actually taking advantage of the game mechanics with their own real-life smarts.
For example, one character memorized the sequence she was putting the cards at the bottom of her Deck, and used that sequence to win.
That would NEVER happen in Yugioh. It might now, but still, it's a much more skillful win than what tends to happen with lucky draws.

So uh...yeah, I'm nonplussed.
Like everything revealed in this chapter caught me off guard.
What caught me off guard is that Kabuto went backwards in his evolution chain by... evolving?
Please explain what the hell just happened.
IS ANYONE ELSE A REDHEAD IN THIS MANGA?
THEY'RE ALL UZUMAKIS I TELL YA
Congratulations. You know how to pay attention. >.>
I didn't quite understand Kabuto's explanation of Jugo's powers... I don't either, but I think it's them reacting with nature chakra. but then again, I'm too obsessed with his MOTHERF*CKING DRAGON-BASED SAGE MODE.
HOT DAMN. Okay, despite my devolution point, I still thought it was pretty cool.
And now we know that Sasuke's probably going to return to being a good guy, since he'll basically be an inherited Kakashi rather than Orochimaru.
Some people could say only revealing this Dragon Temple place now is bad storytelling, but hey, it fits. It does. Orochimaru would need to go somewhere to gain summoning contracts, wouldn't he? Yeah. Although I kind of want them to explain the Dragon Sage Mode more, because doesn't it turn people into frogs? And it makes sense there's a snake master to teach snake techniques much like there was for frogs at Mount Myoboku. But why is there a sage mode for them? They blatantly said in the series that nature chakra turns you into frogs... I just hope it isn't something like "We absorb negative nature chakra! I'm Omega Shenron!"
I'm betting that Woods place is where Katsuyu lives and where Tsunade went to train.
loldrsnakes xD

Why does this make me think of Voldemort so much? ._.

Kabuto is both creepy and oddly funny at the same time.

And now just plain creepy.

Also excited to see this.

Orochimaru has long since been compared to Voldemort, but only due their connection with snakes and pale skin.

I think dragons are overrated, or at least the idea that they're supposed to be these rare and powerful creatures is way overdone. I appreciate that they don't seem to doing that here, especially because Kabuto seems to treat dragons as just a higher class beyond snakes, which are ranked equally alongside toads and slugs.

And now we wait for Slug Sage Mode- Oh wait, that would be a female power-up. Yeah, we're not going to see it.
At least Itachi has some sort of horrible humor

WE HAVE SOMETHING IN RELATION

And yeah, I agree with Cortez that Kabuto will go all Omega Shenron on us

and I think they were saying that Juugo naturally got nature chakra and that he flip his s*** every once and a while because he would be overflowing with unneeded chakra

Which may imply that too much chakra is also a bad thing (which could also serve as a plausible side answer for the Kurama's anger).

I just feel that Orochimaru served as a better villian than Kabuto =/

No, I knew that, just... This chapter had an especially Voldemort feel to it.

Also, gonna drop this here because I know at least Cortez can appreciate it.
