Merci
I just wrote this to share my experience. I'll edit it to make it sound cooler later. This is how Part One of my life ended. You can read the complete autobiography in about eight years, minimum. It will be a lot more professional than this. This is just a recount.
The day before, I got my mother’s permission to go to Plaza Cibubur, which is a, uh, shopping mall. A ‘Farewell Party’ was going to be held at Friday night, from seven at night until nine. Of course, it was also referred to as a ‘Prom Night’. If that’s the case, then what just happened, just a couple of hours ago (It’s ten o’clock at night right now), was my first prom. Anyway, I only planned to get black trousers and a tie for the prom, as well as a jacket for daily activities, but instead, since my mother insisted, I got a long-sleeved black buttoned shirt as well, even though I originally planned to just wear my own favorite RED shirt. The black shirt ended up making me look cooler than the red shirt ever could, though. I didn’t get a jacket because the staff lady confused me by referring to jackets as ‘sweaters’, and then proceeding to refer coats as ‘jackets’. There weren’t any good jacket/sweaters anyway, so I just left it that. Time skip to today, six and a half hours ago. I got home from school after the final preparations of the prom was done, at three thirty. I had a plan in mind, a schedule. I was also somewhat in a hurry, because I wanted to know whether SHE was coming or not. SHE came home early, and my logic said that since that there were no lessons, only preparations for the prom, it would be useless for her to stay since SHE wouldn’t be coming. Anyway, this was the schedule: 15:30 = Go to internet café for one hour. Find out on DA whether SHE's coming to the prom or not. Check YCM, and Battle On games, and Facebook. 16:30 = Come home from internet café. Ask mother to buy three big drinks (Everyone had to bring either ten portions of snacks OR three big drinks for the prom. Soft drinks not allowed). 17:00 = Take a shower, and then change into all-black formal clothes. 18:30 = Ride minibus to school for the prom. It didn’t go exactly according to plan, but by 18:30, I was ready, absolutely ready. Scarlett’s reply to my going to the prom made no sense, since it was just ‘Sure’, although I didn’t ask her a question or anything. . . . Not then. StalwartClaws: u comin to the prom tomorrow nite? MercifulIdiot: Uh, yeah. StalwartClaws: Sure. MercifulIdiot: Huh? What do you mean by that . . . . . . .? Anyway, so what about you? Are you coming? Since it would be embarrassing to use the minibus with these kinds of clothes, a motorcycle guy took me there. I worried for a moment, but I overcame that, and when I reached the school, I was ready. I was the coolest guy there, best-looking, best-dressed. Just as planned, kind of. I bet most of the people were taken by surprise. Of course, that morning, I acted as disgusting as possible without anyone realizing I was acting, so that the surprise would be greater. I succeeded. Teachers couldn’t believe how I looked. Lots of girls wanted to take a picture with me. But SHE hadn’t arrived yet. I wondered about the school, under the guise of practicing the lyrics for a song I was going to sing during my second performance. Of course, if anyone was following me, they would have realized that I was repeatedly visiting the lobby, of course awaiting HER. First, there was a car-light, but no, it was only a couple of other girls. Then there was another one. It was one of HER best friends. I wondered off somewhere to avoid her, and after I returned, there was one more car-light, but it was only HER other best friend. Crushed with the knowledge that she wasn’t coming, I was about to go to the multi-purpose hall, when HER internet little brother comes out of nowhere, and talks to somewhere further in the car. I didn’t get to see HER come out, though. Instead, I just continued on my way. Shortly after, I was caught by surprise when I saw HER, with her two best friends. I noticed they were all dressed in Gothic clothes. SHE was wearing red. She looked awesome, even though I like her for her personality, not her looks. Note that this was more of a ‘Farewell Party’ than a ‘Prom Night’. In the hall, performances were held. My class performed first. I and two others played traditional Indonesian instruments, while the rest sung a song called ‘Butterfly’. It’s hard to remember what came next, but there were a couple of good performances, and then it was the boys of my classes’ turn. Basically we just sung a song. I think I did pretty well. There’s not really much to write about the performances. After our second performance, it was HER class’s turn. Note that this was a farewell party for THAT VERY CLASS. Out of twenty-fivish, only six were staying, which didn’t include HER, unfortunately. Finally, at nine o’clockish PM, all the performances were done, and we were free to eat and drink. Naturally, everyone headed for the pizza first. I secured the final slice, and ate it. Unfortunately, what I did was not a wise decision. Since I haven’t actually eaten anything proper for the last week or so, my stomach had the feeling that it was about to vomit, so I had to refrain from eating anything else, since vomitting in the middle of a party is NOT cool ;-;. After half an hour or so, finally it was time for everyone to shake the hands of HER class. After all, it’s a Farewell Party. The first girl I shook hands with refused to let go, being a fangirl, so I had to release my hand by force. The second or third one after that, after I shook her hand, asked me if I was going to say something. Obviously, she was expecting a confession or something like that. . . . . . but I held no special feelings for her. At the end of the line I shook the hand of HER first friend, and then SHE HERSELF. “See you on DA.” SHE said. “Yeah.” I replied. After that, I shook the hand of HER other friend, and then I was home free. But naturally I was going to stay until SHE left. I expected that what SHE said was the last of it, but I was wrong. I took some popcorn (There were TWO BWUDY BUCKETS FILLED WITH THEM), and then looked around. Assuming that SHE had left, I left the hall myself. I looked into a window into the hall. . . . . and it turned out that she hadn’t left yet. For a moment, I continued on, before turning back, using the excuse of ‘more popcorn’. As I reentered the hall, it turned out that SHE was just about to leave, and we ended up face-to-face, sort of. “You do realize that I won’t be here on Monday, right?” SHE asked. “. . . . . . Yeah, I know.” I replied. Then she left. I wasn’t really sure about it before she said that, but it makes sense to leave after the Farewell Party. She’s heading to a new school, along with one of her two best friends, and four or five others in her class. Of course, I’ll still be in contact with her on DA, and I might visit her house sometime around (If she visits mine, I’ll probably suffocate). Thought that was it? I did. Still, I felt that the scenes with her were missing something. Like something that traditionally appears in a certain type of novel, but isn’t there, not yet. Not yet. Of course, I was intending to stalk her all the way back to the lobby, but I decided to get some more popcorn before I did, and I was distracted by the teachers. They wanted me to bring the massive loads of snacks home, since they have absolutely no idea what to do with them, but they wanted to keep the containers. That’s messed up, in my opinion. I was distracted for a whole minute, and after that I just left and decided to go home. But you see, the distraction was a good thing, and an even better thing was for me choosing to go right and continue on, instead of going left and down the stairs. Luckily, SHE and HER two friends had paused. In a hallway. A dark one shielded from the moon’s light, so it was near pitch-black. I made the correct decision, going right. HER friends were a couple of meters in front of HER. I’m not sure why SHE paused, but SHE was probably standing there for about ten to twenty seconds around. I entered the darkness and walked passed Scarlett anonymously, the clothes helped me completely disappear, and she probably didn’t even realize someone had walked passed her, not until I entered the moonlight ahead, which was absolutely awesome and dramatic just like in a film, and which revealed my presence. Then she realized that someone had just walked passed her, me. “Is Adam stalking me?” She asked out loud. I only grinned, chose not to turn around and see what her face was like, and continued on walking. There was no kissing or anything. I’m satisfied when I impress her, or make her laugh, smile at the very least. Some people might not understand, but there was quite a bit of symbolism. Best way to end My Life: Part One. Best way to end any first autobiography I write.
Note that all of what happened here is true, though my memory’s a bit scrambled up, so the words aren’t really accurate. For example, Scarlett might have said ‘Am I stalking Adam?’ I actually didn’t hear it very clearly, but it was definitely either ‘Am I stalking Adam?’ or ‘Is Adam stalking me?’ Note that I will turn this into a more professional, detailed piece. . . . . . later. For now, just read the account, or wait, or something.
