He gently picked up the teacup in front of him and brought it slowly to his lips, taking a sip. “Heheheh…Shou-chan, isn’t it amazing?” he asked the brown-haired teen with glasses in front of him. “The conquest of the Vongola…was really so easy. To be honest, they’re pretty weak, don’t you think?” “Yes, Byakuran-sama…” the teen replied, without much emotion. Byakuran brought the teacup down, and sighed, still smiling. “Oh, come on, Shou-chan, you’re no fun that way. We have to be happy, and celebrate.” Before the teen could answer, there was an explosion in the distance. Byakuran slowly turned his head, one eye open, his grin gone. “What was that, I wonder?” The teen, on the other hand, looked quite shocked. “Could it be…the Vongola?” Byakuran stared at him for a bit, before standing up from his chair. “I’ll go have a look.” “Wait, Byakuran-sama, are you sure you should go alone?” “Well yes,” Byakuran replied, his grin back on his face. “And I’ll trust Shou-chan to take care of everything while I’m gone, alright?” With that, Byakuran walked out. A man with long black hair and a matching robe, with a white cloak over the robe, had his sword out in front of him. He was unscathed, but there were dozens of people around him, all looking fairly tough, and all were down on the ground, bleeding. The man walked over to one of the fallen people and looked down at him. He was a fairly slim guy, in his mid-thirty’s, with short black hair. “Who sent you to attack me, and why? Answer me, or I will not hesitate to do my job and kill whoever attacks me next.” The man coughed up some blood. “Heheh, the Vongola are pretty strong, huh? To have a guy of your caliber…we were totally defeated…” With that, the man lost consciousness. “Vongola…?” the black-haired man muttered. “Hey, you,” came a voice from close by. The black-haired man turned, and glared at the newcomer. “Who are you?” he asked. “My, my, isn’t it common courtesy to introduce oneself first?” the newcomer asked with a grin. “But very well, I am Byakuran. And you are?” “I am Byakuya Kuchiki. A Captain of the Gotei Thirteen. What business do you have here? Have you also come here to attack me?” Byakuran looked around at his fallen comrades, slight amusement in his face. “Well, it seems you did quite a number on my subordinates. Can’t have that, can we?” He grinned, and closed his fists. Byakuya sighed. “So you will insist on fighting then…futile, but very well then! Come at me!” Author's Notes: Written by =DL=.
