- This card may be one of the “overly complicated ones” I don’t personally like, but there’s no way ignoring the unique effect it carries and the power-draining theme. Basically, the stronger the monster your opponent uses, the harder they’re going to be hit. Now, monsters played don’t normally have more than 2400 ATK (making this card’s future ATK at 1200). But you can increase this card’s ATK bonus by summing high ATK monsters like Grinder Golem and Lava Golem (destroying the monster with Smashing Ground). Even with only 1500 ATK, Zombies have A LOT of Special Summon support which means you can keep recycling this card.

- A wonderfully nice and simple effect. My first thought when seeing it was that its effect was underpowered, since you need to Normal Summon it and discard a card to activate it. But when you factor in the searchability of Sangan and Reinforcements of the Army, and the fact you don’t lose advantage (like with Terraforming) its really a nice choice. Its effect won’t activate if it’s summoned via Giant Rat or Warrior Lady of the Wasteland, but the option of summoning this monster this way is still there should you need a new monster on the field. A nice field spell to choose would be Gaia Power, upping Path Knight’s ATK to 1900. A much better field spell searcher than those useless “By discarding this card from your hand, add 1 blahblahblah...” The only down part to this card was the wording which cost it 1st place.

[spoiler=Those I just HAVE to comment on:]

1. Azure Miasma Fog - Simply looking at the first sentence, the card’s effect is basically “destroy 1 monster on the field”. The other effects push it even further over the edge. Overpowered. However, I did enjoy seeing what you made of such a simplistic picture and a more balanced effect may had won this for you.

2. Capped Samurai of the Cherry Blossom - The idea was awesome. The fact you didn’t make it a Batman card really showed some creativity. But you made a mistake in the first sentence. It should read, “This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of “Capped Samurai of the Cherry Blossom”, since it never Special Summons itself with its effect. The first effect with the Cherry Blossoms was a good idea, but WAY too slow to be of any use. What monster stays on the field for 5 turns? The last effect is too overpowered. Summoning two 2200 beatsticks to the field (and possible tribute fodders to boot). A 2000 to 1900 ATK change and/or different cost could have changed things.

Well, there’s the results. Any questions, just ask.

Hey kaze, i just noticed somthing. How come GAK and everybody elses cards didn't get 2nd or somthing. The card that got #2 has ALOT of capitalization errors. Can you please take another look? It's not fair to the others that there grammar was good, and the effects where good, and it lost to a card that had bad grammar.

Thanks, Yankee

Sorry, there will be no rejudging. I said "Watch your Card Grammar". I didn't ask for perfect OCG because that's asking far too much and would deter members from joining. I wanted to make a contest anyone could join, not just the "perfect". Besides, capatilization is the least important factor in card making:

1. Creativity

2. Continuity

3. Balanced Effects

4. Wording/Grammar

Those are, in order, the most important aspects of card making. God GAK failed in creativity, the most important part. By looking at the image he was assigned, that idea of creating an "evil" Fairy Lily instantly pops into your head. It wasn't creative genius, it was majority thought. The best choice isn't always the first one that pops into your head.

So this is where I decided that someone who failed to incorperate creativity in their work should not win against someone who only forgot to put in capitals.
