So I have a problem. I enjoy the entry fee and rewards for my contests, they seem very fair. But as you might expect, I am no very low on points. So low that I can't afford to give points as a prize. I don't like doing a point pot, feels more complicated and just seems easier for something to go wrong or be unfair. And giving more reps feels excessive for a weekly contest.

But something must be done. So this is a special edition of RTV. The entry fee will be much higher but there will more reps for the winners. I will do it this week and maybe next week, then I will return to the previous system.

Rules
1: All general YCM rules apply.
2: Serious card submissions.
3: Written cards accepted but would prefer pictures since art is provided.
4: I prefer cards PMed to me rather then posted here. When contest ends I will post all entries.
5: 3 qualities I score based upon- creativity, balance, and playability.

Entry Fee = 5 points.

Prizes
1st: 3 reps.
2nd: 2 reps.
3rd: 1 rep.
Deadline = Monday June 20th.

Task
I post a normal monster. Send me a retrained version with the same attribute, type, ATK, DEF, and level but with an effect added. You may add any special effect type such as tuner, union, gemini, spirit, flip, etc. Also you can even make it into a ritual (must send ritual card as well), fusion, synchro, or even exceed (same amount of stars). Before it was up to 1 but because I am adding all the additional card types you can now send up to 3 optional support cards if you wish.

That is another twist I have been wanting to do for a while. There are several Vanillas that have only been released in the Japanese version that are prime for retraining! Expect to see more foreign vanilla in future contests too.

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, select 1 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monster in the Graveyard and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to half of the equipped card's ATK. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard while having an equipped monster, you can select and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monster from your Graveyard, except "Solitude".

I really like this card! The ATK gained seems balance. The best you could get is 1000ATK increase from Gene-Warped Warwolf or 1150ATK from Indomitable Fighter Lei Lei. Then the death summon seems good.

A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted by sending 2 Normal monsters you control to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Up to twice per turn, you can Banish 1 Normal monster from your Graveyard to have this monster gain ATK equal to the Banished monster's Level x100. If this card is destroyed by a card effect controlled by your opponent, Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower Normal monster that was Banished by this card's effect.

Well I run a Vanilla contest, of course I love normal monster support! Fusion seems pretty fair. I am glad the ATK increase is based on level that way it isn't too comparable to Cu Culainn the Awakened. Also the dying summon of level 6 or lower is cool. I know the best choice would be Frostosaurus but I would revive my first ever favorite card: Summon Skull.

Ehh Spirit does make sense. But it feels a bit underwhelming for a Spirit monster. It likely would only attack not be attacked. The ATK boost just seems too low compared to Shadow Ghoul and Chaos Necromancer. I do like the flavor though.

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, destroy all other monster you control and destroy cards on the field equal to the number of monsters destroyed by this effect. While this card is on the field, you cannot Summon or Set any other monsters. Monsters this card destroys by battle are removed from play.

Interesting how it kills your own monsters to nuke the field. Seems pretty powerful but the drawback of having no other monsters is also hefty. Then the banishing battle flavor. Pretty good actually.

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or flipped face-up. Once per turn, select 1 face-up monster on the Field. This card gains ATK equal to the Level of the that monster x 100 until the End Phase.

As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all Spirit monsters remain face-up on the field and do not return to their owner's hand during the End Phase even if they are Summoned or flipped face-up. Increases the ATK and DEF of all Spirit monsters by 200 points. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the ATK and DEF of Spirit monsters continues to increase by 200 points during each of your Standby Phases. This effect continues until the 4th turn after the card is activated.

Again the minor ATK increase seems really weak for a Spirit monster. Also Grand Spiritual Convergence is bad because it is way unbalanced compared to Spiritual Energy Settle Machine. Soul Barrier isn't too bad although the not attacking clause does seem a bit weird.

When this card is removed from the field, you can pay 1300 Life Points to return 1 banished Machine-Type monster and 1 banished Beast-Warrior-Type monster to your Graveyard and add 1 " Solitude" from your deck to your hand or pay 800 Life Points add 1 "Beast Machine King Barbaros Ür" and 1 "Solitude" from your Graveyard to your hand.

Hmm interesting support for Beast King Barbaros Ür. Although the text sounds really confusing for some reason. It is ok, the life point cost though seems a little high maybe though.

Whenever a Beast or a Beast Warrior-Type monster you control destroys a monster by battle, you can send that monster to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned by its own effect, increase the ATK of all Beast and Beast Warrior-Type monsters on the field by 1000 until the End Phase.

Hmm quite interesting how your own monster dies to summon this thing after they kill something. The ATK increase is pretty big though since it covers your whole field. It seems cool but also like it could be abused for an OTK.

When this card declares an attack, your opponent can pay 800 Life Points. If they do not, Special Summon 1 monster from either player's Graveyard to your opponent's side of the field, and switch the attack target to that monster.

This is a pretty interesting effect. Not sure it fits the flavor too well though.

If this card is in face-up Attack Position, This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, you can banish 1 Trap Card in your Graveyard to negate all effects of Effect Monsters on the field except this card until the end of this turn. During the End Phase, destroy all monsters that was affected by this effect.

He can just banish a card to nuke the field at the end of the turn? That is too powerful. The effect negation would have been better just by itself.

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. If this card attacks your opponent's Life Points directly, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your opponent's Graveyard to their side of the field in face-up Defense Position, and this card can attack again.

Nice to see a level 3 synchro. The summoning and re-attacking seems like it be very abused due to the wording. Giving you nearly unlimited attacks.

You can Banish 1 Monster from your graveyard to Special Summon this card (from your Hand). If this card was Special Summoned by its own effect, this card gains 800 ATK until the End Phase. When this card destroys a monster in Battle; this card gains 200 ATK. When this card leaves the field; Banish this card.

Overall pretty good. The effects seem losely related to each other but are all related to the flavor of the monster. It works.

Sorry but this is really bad. Give you opponent 3 of your monsters for a normal summon with a weak effect.
