I have no problem as long as they don't do anything funny towards me.

You're extremely vain if you think gay people will spontaneously do anything to you, let alone be interested in you.

Why do so many people believe that gays have lower standards than straights?
I dont know if it's so much "lower standards" like with straigth people for example, alot of them would hook up with a dirty chick if there was nothing else, same things with a gay guy, and if they try to pick up another gay guy who's also willing to settle. Probs cause guys might think it'd be easier to pick up guys then chicks? But then again I have no idea that's my rough guess, no idea though

Straight people are alright. I mean, they couldn't help being born the way they are. So long as they don't do any straight stuff in front of me I'm fine.

OMG!!! I <3 YOU!! (WITH or W/OUT the Homo, your choice) X3

...I actually like gays. They are more fun to be around then straight people. (no, I am not gay.) With straights, you get fights. A lot. And mostly over girls. (how likely is it that there are gonna be two guys fighting over a guy or two girls fighting over a girl?) Anyway, thats my opinion.
I never really thought about that. And it's so true! My bro and my best friend usually fight for a chick while I try to break them up. Go figure.

I dont think he was going to in depth about it, im pretty sure he was just saying that he doesn't have a problems with gays, unless of course a gay guy does take interest in him and acts on it. Don't think he was trying to say that gays will automatically hit on him :/

If a gay guy started hitting on me, I'd be flattered. It's the same as a straight girl hitting on you, just that you have less of a chance to be interested in a relationship.

If only I could tell that to my parents <_< every time we reach the subject my dad storms off and my mom just frowns her head. It's even worse since I'm the type of person that LOVES confrontation. Things always get worse from there. I'm sure there are several gays out there who have some sort of problem like that, though not exactly the same.

I didn't say he was. I was making the point that imbeciles like him don't need to make the statement "gays are fine if they don't try and get with me", because I highly suspect that even if a gay person was attracted to him physically (which is not likely as the majority of gay people are not attracted to every male or every other male, but like straight people, are interested in certain things and aspire after a small selection of individuals), they wouldn't be once they realise he is such a douchebag personality-wise for feeling the inexplicable need to make said statement. It can literally go without saying, and therefore it's really f***ing insulting to have it repeatedly thrown in your face.

Did anyone watch the GOP debate yesterday? I was watching and simulatenously studying, and the second I heard a question about Don't Ask, Don't Tell, I put my books down and watched intently. It's hilarious to see how retarded conservatives can be when it comes to logical legislation. "Uh, yeah, I want to make sure Don't Ask, Don't Tell is reinstituted, since uh the army captain uh said that repealing it was bad." I love how Republicans think they can get elected just by saying "yeah repeal Obama's stuff, woohoo", when in reality those are the only sub-par arguments they can make. My bloody ass they are going to help the country.

Now that I'm done with that tangent, let me move on to another tangent. I love how the majority of females (and males) on the internet claim to be bisexual. I'm almost entirely sure that the volume of claimed bisexuals is nowhere near the volume of actual bisexuals on the internet, and it just piques my interest why people would want to falsely claim to be bisexual over the internet. Do they want sympathy? Do they want the ability to have an "internet relationship" with those of both genders? I've seen a lot of cases where homosexuals pretend to be heterosexuals in order to avoid "bullying", but I'm not sure why some heterosexuals want to be bisexual so badly.

The "homosexuality is a sin" argument stems wholly and undoubtedly from religion. I'm sure with a few seconds of Google searching you can find the exact passages in the Bible where homosexuality (only with men, for some reason) is condemned. It's hilarious to note that more states have legalized incestuous marriages compared to same-sex marriages when it's clear that homosexuality has no negative effects. Homosexual adoption is shown to have little to no effect on a child's development, and since marriage is a government institution, religion should play no role in restricting it to certain individuals.

I think during the GOP debate, Ron Paul stated that he wanted marriage to be part of the Church, which blew my mind. I'm pretty sure most homosexuals don't care about the religious marriage; if a church doesn't want them on their property, they probably won't care. But as long as strict government benefits exist for married couples, homosexuals will fight for their deserved right to get married. If Christians want to ban homosexual marriage, I wouldn't really mind. But at the very least homosexual couples should get the same benefits as heterosexual married couples, and homosexual couples should get the status of a "married couple", even if they weren't officially married in some bullshit church.

I'd like to make it a point to state that if heterosexuals don't want to look at homosexuals kiss, we don't have to. Think of it as 2 Girls, 1 Cup; their practices, albeit infinitely more disgusting than anything else, are perfectly legal (to my knowledge). Nobody is forcing you to watch them, so why should you care? Homosexuals are not required to watch heterosexuals kiss/mate/et cetera, and vice versa. No laws should be made preventing public affection because it would be an entirely useless and stupid piece of legislation.

Why -5 reps for this guy? He's just expressing his opinion, despite having no logic whatsoever and sounding like a complete moron. :/

False bisexuals are, more often than heteros trying to be different, homos halfway between acceptance and rejection. It's a psychological thing. As a legitimate bisexual though, the initial appeal of the position is diminished since someone who actually is bisexual can't really settle themselves with one person.

Which would have originally stemmed from genetics.

I don't think you heard Paul say "up to the individual" shortly after. He was citing examples of alternative sources from where someone can derive the definition of marriage, saying the government wasn't needed in the process. Learn about the basic beliefs of the Libertarian party. No significant interference from the government on an economic OR personal level.

Oh gosh, I love gays and proudly stand up for anyone in the LGBT community. I even run an LGBT/Straight Alliance Blog because I'm passionate about our equal rights. However, we're all just people and we should never be judged off of our sexuality.

And when it comes to homophobia? I'll hold my girlfriend's hand because it means more to me than a stranger's hate.
