Astro's eyes narrowed when he saw 2 ships in the distance. One was familiar to him, as it was his kingdoms ally's ship design from Zaxatran. The second was unknown to him. But the next few sentences told the whole story.

Pirates. Old age, dueling pirates. Something Astro wouldn't dream to see where he came from, the future. He shook his head, remembering the shocking moment when reality bended around him. He shuddered.
"Captain! Take us towards those ships. Tenebrae will have to wait for more planning.... and the kings permission..."
The captains face paled, but did as he was ordered, bringing a third ship to the party.
"Well Hello there! Mind if I butt in?"

Lance heard the pirate's captain, or someone high up in the ranks, call towards Elaine. He ran up and then saw the person that called out, he glared at him and said,[color="#008000"]"Leave Princess Elaine alone! If its a duel your looking for...then thou hast found it!"[/color] Lance grabbed his shield from his back and then strapped it on his arm. In a small flash, Lance's shield was gone and a Duel Disk with blue trims around it was now on his wrist. He then grabbed his deck from his side and then inserted it into the disk. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a Pax ship, with someone asking,"Mind if I butt in?". Lance smiled and said,[color="#008000"]"A Pax Kingdom ship and its knight. Right in the nick of time. Don't mind, just make sure these other pirates don't interrupt this duel."[/color]

Seiyu saw that a second ship had come up while he was preoccupied with the first, this was a bad situation for him but it looked like the leader was a knight which means he would be bound by honor so he couldn't interfere with the duel, [color=orange][b]Very well you are the representative of you ship and the contract is struck[/b][/color] a strange glow came from him and even though it was day you could see the stars in the sky. With that Seiyu removed a card from his 'duel disk' and placed it in his extra deck, as this happened the creature that had attacked the ship vanished, [color=orange][b]Seeing as I'm the one who issued the challenge it is only right that yo get the first attack.[/b][/color] Astro could notice that the leader of the pirates was holding a katana a weapon that wasn't from this time and it seemed like his duel disk was a living being, [color=blue][b]Okay Seiyu everything is set and if anything happens we can get Ryuto to cover our back,[/b][/color] it was a surprise for everyone except the crew of the Star Gazer to see the duel disk actually talk

[i]I have to brief that man on keeping things secret,[/i] Elaine replied, [i]at least he's doing what he thinks is right. Now, about that dragon..[/i] "Stop," she called, "it's tightening!" With a wave of her wand she threw a barrier between the serpent and the ship. Now, rather than wood, the magic and will of Elaine herself, with the mages of her guard channelling more power to her, was set against the dragon. As much as it could try, the barrier wouldn't let it constrict further. Carefully, she adjusted the shape of the barrier, forcing the creature to move one way along the ship. [i]Good luck, Sir Lancelot,[/i] she added to herself.

"Pity... It looks like we can't leave that ship in one piece... *Sigh* Oh well, I guess I have no choice really..." a voice said from a distance. Suddenly, what appears to be four yellow energy disks rotating at an incredible velocity came crashing through the clouds above the sea and slammed into the Zaxtran ship's barrier, creating medium-sized explosions that broke through the barrier and also shaking the space within the barrier causing an earthquake-like effect. From afar, the first mate of the Star Gazer, Ryuto, better known as Ryu can be seen on a duel runner-like boat. "Okay now! Let's get this show on the road!" Ryuto shouted, his eyes showing his wild nature. Ryuto's boat began speeding towards the Zaxtran Ship. "Ehh... I know I probably shouldn't make it too difficult to recover the loot but hey, it's not like we haven't gone deep sea diving before." Ryu spoke as he neared the Zaxtran ship.

When the smoke had cleared, the dragon began slamming its large formidable tail against the barrier, making tremors for the ship and causing it difficult for the princess to concentrate. While up above, more yellow disks came crashing towards the ship. From Ryu's boat, two cannon heads emerged and Ryu began firing cannon balls at the Zaxtran ship. It was quite an assault, and it was tearing away at the barrier with great speed. "You mind as well give us the loot now!!!" Ryu said but then he noticed a duel on the Star Gazer. "Ehh... the Captain's dueling... Oh well I guess even if I fail, the Captain will get the loot. GO CAPTAIN SEIYU!!!" Ryu chanted from afar.

Seiyu saw Ryo's excited behavior and chuckled, [color=orange][b]That's enough Ryo just make sure the Paxian boat doesn't interfere I've already got them in a contract so we can't really do any damage to the Zaxitran boat but the one from Pax technically can attack us so i want you to keep an eye on them and make sure they don't do anything funny.[/b][/color]
[color=blue][b]Hey Seiyu I just noticed that guy who looks like the leader of the Paxian boat has the same kind of smell as you.[/b][/color]

Listening to Seiyu, Ryu nodded before turning his sights on the dragon still hammering away at the Zaxtran ship. "Hey, we're changing our target! Set your sights on the Paxian ship over there!" Ryu shouted towards the dragon. Suddenly, the dragon stopped its onslaught and switched its course towards the Paxian ship with Astro on it. "Hey boss, you don't mind if I destroy this ship right?!" Ryu asked keeping his boat motionless until he was given an order. Meanwhile, the dragon neared the Paxian ship and began to fire a torrent of high-pressure water that slammed into the ship with more power than three or four cannons firing at the same time. Up above the skies, the barrage of yellow disks stopped. However, not before one yellow disk fall into the ocean

Then, coming from the ocean was a purple and blue sea star monster with one eye that shined with a yellow hue. The sea star climbed aboard Ryu's boat. "Heh, my Shooting Star-Fish surely did quite some damage. Let's see how the Paxian ship will like my Shooting Star-Fish after Captain Seiyu gives me the 'ok'!" Ryu said to himself as he glared towards the Paxian ship.

Seiyu sighed, the best and worst thing about Ryu is how eager he was for a fight, taking on 1 ship is easy especially when you sneak attack it and the situation was such that they could probably take out both ships but the costs would be much higher and all it would do is make them more infamous which had it's good and bad parts, [color=orange][b]No we're going to leave that ship alone for right now, just be ready so that if they try to interfere with the duel or the contract that they will lose a lot more then what they have aboard the ship, oh and finally[/b][/color] Seiyu snapped his fingers and the dragon that had been attacking the ships vanished and a card appeared on Ein which Seiyu took and put in his extra deck, [color=orange][b]You need to learn how to cool your head, we gain nothing by destroying their boats, only by pillaging which a contract duel makes much easier.[/b][/color] The captain of the Zaxatran new what a contract duel was, it was a special duel that the captain of the Star Gazer could preform, with both sides knowing the conditions before hand the outcome of the duel decides what happens and neither crew could go against it, so the Captain just hoped that the young knight would win otherwise all their valuables really would belong to the pirates.

((This is the second time I have gotten rid of the dragon, it is back in card form for right now and Seiyu may or may not bring it back later.))

Hearing his captain's order, Ryu had no choice but to stop the attack though he wasn't too happy about it, but Ryu knew that the captain is only doing what is best for the situation. "Ahhh Captain! Okay then, I guess they got a lucky break for right now, but if they try and pull anything funny, then I'm not gonna just sit by and watch!" Ryu told Seiyu. Translated, that would be Ryu's way of saying "understood". Ryu continued to sit on his boat now preparing to watch the duel. "My Shooting Star-Fish will watch that Paxian ship just in case it tries to interfere. Hopefully it does..." Ryu whispered that last part to himself as he was eager and ready for some action. Ryu was quite the hothead and Seiyu knows it, but Ryu is also very loyal and at the first sign of danger, he is always alongside his captain through thick and thin. To Ryu, the Star Gazer crew is his only family now.

"Oi, pirate kid. How about we duel! Turbo duel across the ocean!" Astro disappeared for a moment, heading below deck. He appeared a moment later with his duel runner, which he jumped onto and rode straight off the side of the ship. There was no splash as the runner hit the sea, in fact, it never hut the sea, but hovered just above it. Astro drew 5 cards and grinned.
"That way, I won't interrupt your captains duel! So it's a yes!"

'I doubt this will be much of a challenge, but he may well surprise me. There'd be only one way to find out, and that's to duel, which we'll do now!'

"You take the first move," Astro called "Unless you're going to back out from this like a coward of a pirate!"

[Time Psyduck]

The attacks of the dragon, as well as the additional attacks, had been powerful, but Elaine's shield had managed to hold out. The ship hadn't come away entirely unscathed - it had been taking the strain before the shield went up, and the ship had been shaken, but it was far from beaten. It's mast had toppled, but it was a poor crew who couldn't deal with that, and with the attacks stopped the sailors were already hard at work to re-erect it. One of her 'guards' brought her some food and she sat at the bow of the ship, out of the way, to recover her energy. From here, she could also watch the duel, although she didn't trust these pirates to keep their word.

Lance nodded and drew five cards from the deck and then looked at them. [color="#008000"][i]This duel is riding on my shoulders. I have to win...for the pride of the Zaxtran Kingdom..[/i][/color] he thought, before looking over at Elaine. [color="#008000"][i]And for the princess.[/i][/color] He drew his sixth card and said,[color="#008000"]"For starters I summon Giant Soldier of Stone, in defense mode."[/color] Soon in front of Lance, was a statue...no a warrior encased by stone, kneeling holding his sword in front of him. [color="#008000"]"Next I shall set two cards face down. I end my turn."[/color] Lance said, as he set two face downs as well.

Seiyu drew his six cards and studied his opponents field, [color=orange][b]You seem like the straight foreword type but unfortunately for you I'm not, I'll start by summoning my Star Gazer Illusionist and then I'll use his effect to remove from play two cards in my hand face down, then I'll activate the effect of the Star Gazer Kid in my hand to Special Summon a level three or lower monster from my hand and I choose Star Archer, next I'll set 1 card and end my turn activating my Star Archers effect dealing you 500 points of damage do to the total level of monsters I control.[/b][/color] The child archer that was summoned readied his bow but before he fired stars appeared above each monster on his side of the field and when in the path of the arrow as it was fired the were stuck to the arrow and it landed right before Lance the stars then exploded each one doing 100 points of damage, then a clock appeared above the Star Archer and the only hand on it went to 1 then vanished.

Lance watched the Star Gazer captain make his move and he was wondering what he was planning. [color="#008000"][i]What is this pirate planning? Whatever it is, I'm not liking it one bit.[/i][/color] he thought as he drew another card from his deck. Lance looked at his hand and then over at the field that his opponent had out. [color="#008000"]"Whatever you have planned, pirate, it will not work. First I activate the spell, Mystical Space Typhoon, which shall destroy that face down thy have."[/color] he said, as the typhoon destroyed the face down. [color="#008000"]"And then I shall put into defense, Destiny Hero Defender."[/color] Now another warrior that was suited in rocks, knelt in defense next to Giant Soldier of Stone. [color="#008000"]"I end my turn."[/color]

"Turbo duel ehh?" Ryu said and thought for a moment if he should go through with it. "(Well, I have nothing to lose, and besides this knight is going down hehe!)" Ryu thought to himself. Once he looked up however, Ryu did not see Astro. "Huh? The hell did he go?!" Ryu asked, confused about the situation. Suddenly, Astro appeared jumping out into the sea on his duel runner which miraculously float above the surface of the water. "What the- Damn, what kinda duel runner is that?!" Ryu shouted in awe. After hearing Astro saying the Ryu would be a coward if he didn't want to duel, Ryu's temper began to surface. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING A COWARD???!!! I'LL DESTROY YOU!!!" Ryu shouted before drawing five cards. "If it's a turbo duel you want, it's a turbo duel you're gonna lose!" Ryu claimed.

Suddenly, the entire field turned a purple hue as the turbo duel was activated. "My turn!" Ryu said as he drew his sixth card. "I'll start things off by activating this Spell Card! It's called Quantity Control and here's what it does! I'm allowed to special summon up to 2 monsters from my hand or deck, and then afterwards, you are allowed to special summon a monster from your hand, deck, or graveyard whose level is equal to or less than the combined levels of all face-up monsters I control." Ryu explained.

Ryu then drew two cards from his deck. "Now, I'm going to be special summoning 2 Shooting Star-Fish in defense mode [DEF:200]!" Ryu said as he placed the two monsters in the monster zone. Suddenly, two purple and blue sea stars arose from the ocean and formed into a ball. "Okay, since all of the levels of my monsters equal up to 4, you can special summon a level 4 or lower monster from your hand, deck, or graveyard. Think of it as a parting gift for when you lose this duel." Ryu stated.

[AFTER ASTRO SPECIAL SUMMONS HIS MONSTER]

"Next, my 2 Shooting Star-Fish's ability activates. When they are special summoned to the field, you take 300 points of damage for every face-up Shooting Star-Fish I control, and I control 2. This means you take 600 points of damage from each equaling up to a total of 1200 points of damage!"

Astro's LP: 4000 - 1200 = 2800

"And this is just the tip of the iceberg! Next, I'm summoning another Shooting-Star Fish onto the field in attack mode [ATK:100]!" Ryu said before summoning another Shooting-Star Fish, except this time the Shooting-Star Fish did not curl up into a ball. "Then, I'm going to overlay my 2 defense mode Shooting Star-Fish to Xyz summon Deep-Sea Claw in attack mode [ATK:1000]!" Suddenly, a large lobster-like creature arose from the ocean with a large shell on its back and two long, formidable-looking, claws. "Now my Deep-Sea Claw's ability activates. When it's successfully Xyz summoned, I can attach a level 2 monster to it to have it gain 1000 ATK points until my next Standby Phase, and I choose my attack mode Shooting Star-Fish to attach to my Deep-Sea Claw!" Ryu explained as the Shooting Star-Fish disappeared into a yellow energy and shot into the Deep-Sea Claw.

"Finally, I'll end my turn with 2 face-downs. Your turn!" Ryu said.

When Mystical Space Typhoon was activated Seiyu's face down card activated, [color=orange][b]I'll activate my Burn Blast, with it I destroy Spell or Trap 1 card on each of our fields and then we each take 500 points of damage for our remaining Spell or Trap cards, so in my case I'll choose Burning Blast and on your side Mystical Space Typhoon, so that leads me taking zero damage and you taking 1000.[/b][/color] As Mystical Space Typhoon went to destroy Burning Blast it was met with a fire ball that shattered both cards then hit Lance for 1000 damage. [color=orange][b]So that puts my life at 4000 and yours at 2500.[/b][/color]

But you do draw one card from your deck."[/color] Soon the trap was completely destroyed, thanks to Dark Bribe, and the pirate drew 1 card from his deck due to Bribe's effect. [color="#008000"]"If that is the best you have, then thou will have to a lot better than that."[/color]

Seiyu chuckled as he drew his card then he drew 2 more cards because of the d-hero and the start of his turn, this time the clock went to two, [color=orange][b]Now I'll reveal my Star gazer Kid so that I can Special Summon it then I'll Special Summon Glacier Turtle then I'll set 1 card and activate Aurora Draw to draw two cards, I'll remove from play one of the cards in my hand and finally I'll normal summon Shine Magician whose attack goes up to 2600, now I'll have him attack you Stone Warrior and I'll activate the removed Constellation Scorpio so when your monster is destroyed by him you take 500 points of damage, then I'll end my turn dealing you 1600 points of damage. Oh and I'm surprised that a knight would bribe someone.[/b][/color]

[color="#008000"]"Now with that...since you attacked, all your monsters shall go straight to the graveyard."[/color] He then watched a mirror like shield protected him and watched the pirate's monsters all get sent to the graveyard. Then he heard the pirate's crack about the bribe and this made him upset. [color="#008000"]"A Zaxtran Knight never give into a bribe like that! Now end thy turn, heathen!"[/color] Lance said, glaring at the pirate.

[color=orange][b]Not your day, now I'll activate the removed from play Mirage Counter by sending it to the graveyard, so because you tried to effect my monsters your trap is negated and my attack continues uninterrupted.[/b][/color] Seiyu was glad that he had readied a counter for anything, the knight was dueling trickier then he expected but it he had been able to take care of it, [color=orange][b]So now it's time for you to bring out the stops or you'll be gone, turn end.[/b][/color]

Lance drew his next card and sighed. [color="#008000"][i]Is this it? Am I going to lose to this...this pirate??[/i][/color] he thought to himself. He thought his plan was full proof, he thought nothing was going to stop him...but this man proved otherwise. [color="#008000"][i]Maybe...me being a knight was all for nothing...[/i][/color] Lance thought, hanging his head low a little. Then a familiar voice was heard.

Lance's head rose and he saw Gaia beside him. [i][color="#008000"]Your right Gaia....thanks.[/color][/i] he thought smiling. He smirked at the pirate and said,[color="#008000"]"Sir Lancelot Fletcher always pulls out everything he has in a duel!"[/color] He quickly grabbed a card in his hand and said,[color="#008000"]"The spell, Monster Reborn, brings back my Soldier of Stone! Now I summon my Comrade Soldier of Lanstar, but now I'll tune him with my Soldier of Stone...to bring out one stronger card."[/color] Now the newly resurrected Soldier of Stone and the summoned Comrade flew into the air and disappeared. [color="#008000"]"Synchro summon to bring forth, Gaia, the Force of Earth!"[/color] Lance said as a new knight on a horse appeared in front of him. [color="#008000"]"Now I'll activate my second Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face down. And with that..Gaia, attack his Turtle!!"[/color] Then with that, Gaia attacked the Turtle, destroying it instantly. [color="#008000"]"Turn end."[/color]

When Gaia declared its attack it was stopped when Shine Magician glowed and the clock which had appeared at the beginning of the turn returned and fused with him summoning a larger turtle with a dome in it's shell with that Gaia's attack stopped dead, [color=orange][b]Time warps around you and your tidal force breaks through the field, Crono Summon! Seven Seas Turtle. And with both these monsters on the field your ability to declare an attack has been stopped. In this world there are four main powers, first is Tenebrae which is the strongest, then the next to are Pax and Zaxtran who are pretty much even, then you have pirates which could be the strongest if they were organized; what few people know about is who makes number five on the list and that is me, when my turn ends so ends the duel.[/b][/color]

Seiyu drew one card, [color=orange][b]I end my turn, and with that you take 1700 points of damage, game.[/b][/color] With that the Zaxtran crew found that they couldn't move there bodies as the Pirates came and started taking valuables and supplies from the ship, this included taking armor and weapons from the knights and staffs from the mages but not duel disks and decks , then Seiyu walked over to the princess and placed a collar around her neck she new what it was it was a slave collar from Lucario which meant that one of the 'valuables' they were taking was her, though now she could feel her body released as long as she had the collar on she couldn't escape and it also sealed her magic. [color=orange][b]Well little lady it looks like our business is almost done here so if you would be so kind as to come with us this transaction can be done, Ryo when your done playing we're going to port in Lucario the usual one.[/b][/color]

Lance saw the pirate captain put a collar around Elaine's neck and his eyes widened. [i][color="#008000"]W-WHAT?! They weren't supposed to take the princess with them...it wasn't...[/color][/i] he thought to himself. He sighed and said,[color="#008000"]"Wait a minute...the pirate captain. If you will, I want you...to take me instead of her."[/color] Lance knew this was pretty much a suicide deal, but he knew Elaine would be killed or worse if she stayed.
