Mecha Love
http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/252434-kingdoms-of-arestaria-pg-15/#entry5267187 OoC thread. Trumpets sounded, loudly and clearly, through the street leading to the city square of Pax's capital, Mae Relea, where hundreds upon hundreds of citizens had gathered, awaiting the arrival of their king. Across a crimson red carpet, walked a middle aged man, proudly wearing a golden crown and wearing royal robes. He adressed his people with a smile and wave, much to the crowds delight. Behind the king walked several knights, all clad in armour and wearing duel disks. One in particular stood out, one who brought hope to many and struck fear into more. He wore silver armour and his duel disk was somewhat futuristic. This knight was the White knight of synchro, able to conduct many miraculous monster summons with technological cards named Tech Genus. He'd just appeared one day and became one of the lands greatest duelists. The white knight followed the king as leader of the knights, keeping his eyes ahead. Then the group stopped at the stage, and the king began his speech. "My people. Your King Orion has news which will sadden and affect you all. Tenebrae has begun its marches, war has escalated. But our knights and I, we vow to protect this kingdom at all costs. We will protect you and your families, every house, garden and park. We shall be your guardians and protectors....." (Continue from here citizens of Pax, start any other kingdoms).
Time Psyduck
Elaine sighed. "We have confirmation that Tenebrae is making it's move. Pax lies between us, so Tenebrae won't attack us unless they conquer Pax, or at least bog down all their forces. That just leaves other kingdoms moving in on us or pirates. The navy can deal with the latter, and as for the former, that's why I'm not taking the entire army just yet. We have a vested interest in keeping Pax secure - they're our strongest ally, after all." She was the only female at the table. The men sat with her, the generals of Zaxtran, were split in opinion. Several of them were inclined to agree with them, but a few die-hards, opposed to the idea of a woman (or worse, a mage) having military authority, still protested. "We can't just walk into Pax, even with your 'Expeditionary Force,'" one pointed out, "you'll have them attacking us." "So I only take the first division, which will officially be my personal guard - after all, there's a war on, and I am somewhat important. I'm on a diplomatic mission, and offering them military support. I have a messenger ready to move and a fast boat prepared at the coast. He'll have delivered it long before I arrive, so they shouldn't have a problem." The man at the head of the table spoke up. "Very well then," he said calmly, cutting off another objector, "all in favour of sending her highness and one division to Pax;" half the hands went up. "All against," he continued - the other half of the table put their hands up. "Well it's down to me then, and I say aye. Pax is our ally, and we at least need to provide some support. Your highness, when can the first division be ready?" "The morning tide," she answered, "I'll get the approval from His Majesty before that. In that case, I better be on my way. Good day, gentlemen." With that, she stood and walked briskly from the room. I can alert the commanders to get ready on the way back to the palace, she decided, heading out of the room. Catterjune
Within the mass of peasants stood a blonde haired tart. Short in stature but ample in chest, a bored appearance spread about her face. She had traveled all this way to the capital city of Pax, to defeat the cruel hearted Tenebraean King, not to pay lip service to the king. And sure, she may not have been a knight, but she certainly looked like one and she was decently versed with a blade. She nodded, agreeing with herself that she was definitely up to par to be a knight. She looked around the groups, the other lower class people watching the procession, hearing the king's speech. She looked around before putting her hands to her mouth in a cup-like shape. She took a deep breathe and yelled out. "Is there anything we citizens can do to help the cause?" Considering the large amount of people and the rabble of people talking, it was doubtful anyone heard her over the roar of the other thousand voices, and if they did it would be just short of impossible to find out it was her. However, she honestly did want to know where exactly the king wanted to move from all of this and what it is exactly he wanted his subjects to do. Super Chaos Sonic
One of the Zaxtran knights stood from the table and walked out of the room, as the meeting was declared over. The knight, Lancelot Fletcher or Lance as he preferred, headed away down the hall. He really didn't like most of the knights and officials that the king had put into power talking amongst themselves about the King's daughter being in the meeting. Personally, he didn't mind having this fair maiden in the presence of the others. Princess Elaine really shouldn't let the others get to her. he thought as he continued down the hall. She may be a mage, but she's still the princess of Zaxtran. My fellow knights should at least have respect for her, as they do for our king.
Time Psyduck
Elaine walked through the main doors and out of the building that formed Zaxtran's military headquarters, where an aide was waiting for her. He was one of three, mages from the college, with a better mind than most for military matters. She passed on to him instructions for the commanders of the soldiers that would be departing with her, and also to have a request sent to her father for a short meeting. Unlike some of his generals, her father would probably agree with her. However, he's probably try and talk her out of going herself - he was a caring parent after all. She turned and noticed that one of the knights, Lance, had also left and was approaching her from behind. "Greetings, Sir Lancelot," she said, inclining her head in acknowledgement, "I take it you too had little desire to linger inside."
Super Chaos Sonic
"Princess Elaine, good day.." Lance said, a little shocked since she broke his thought process. He smiled and said,"I've told you before, my princess to please call me Lance. I do not feel like being classified with the great knight of the past." Lance then heard Elaine ask if he had no longer had any desire to stay inside. With a small chuckle, Lance nodded and said,"Yes. I have no problems with my fellow knights, though I prefer them not to act like that when you are in the room. Unlike me, they need to learn on how to treat people. .:Blu:.
One of the newer knights, but still with his fair share of experience, Sir Drake Armestris walked in synchronization with the other knights behind King Orion of the Kingdom of Pax. This was only the second time that Drake had been in the presence of King Orion and the famous "White Knight of Synchro". Drake's knightly duties weren't in the same jurisdiction as the White Knight and so haven't really met him. However, Drake is now among the high-ranking knights within Pax's capital, quite an honor for Drake. Drake kept quiet and peered around through his helm. Drake was a bit nervous seeing just how many citizens were gathering. Drake usually hasn't had to present himself in front of so many citizens before. After the king had made his speech, Drake awaited for the other knights to escort the king back to the castle. Drake looked to the crowd and noticed a young woman carrying a blade, and shouting something. Due to the massive crowd's chanting, it was quite difficult to make out what the young woman was saying, and Drake isn't too good at reading lips either. "(A blade... And her outfit... I must be weary of this one...)" Drake thought to himself before edging towards Astro. "Sir Stellar, there is a suspicious looking person in the crowd. Please excuse me as I go deal with this matter." Dark whispered to Astro. Drake then walked off stage from a route where the citizens wouldn't notice him. A little while later and Drake was making his way towards the young woman from just outside of the crowd. Drake finally managed to make his way towards the young woman. "You there, state your name and the purpose for carrying a sword and dressing in such an attire." Drake told the young woman in a firm voice. -Meanwhile- From within Tenebrae's capital city, Dondagus, and from there within Tenebrae's castle, the Dark King sat upon his throne being briefed by his generals on the current state of the war. "Excellent news my lord, our units have successfully captured a large portion of Pax's eastern gulf, and now our strike troops and hammering away at Pax's southeastern coast. It will be just a matter of time before we capture Pax's entire southeastern coast." one general stated with a delightful grin. "My lord, we must not underestimate Pax's resilience and power. If there is one thing that Paxians possesses, it's willpower." another general stated. "Hahaha, willpower shall be crushed under the supreme might of Tenebrae's army." the first general responded. "Silence, all of you!" the Dark King bellowed. This caused the two generals to bow down. "Now, stop your senseless bickering. Both of you are correct. I will say, Paxians are nothing if not tenacious in their efforts of fighting off invaders on their land. However... Not once in Pax's history have they faced an opponent like me..." the Dark King proclaimed.
Catterjune
A foot tap of impatience, she felt the whole procession so far had been a waste of time. But, it could still be salvaged. She had just seen the first of the knights leading the king off. If they were about to go into a battle, she could meet them there and lend a hand just as she intended. She turned around and prepared to wade through the crowd, however she heard a rather commanding voice call her to attention. "!" A flash of nervousness, but she had to maintain her cool. She took a deep breathe before an about face, as best as she could given the small area. "Sir, my name is L-" At first, she had thought the person getting her attention was some random fellow peasant. After meeting him eye-to-eye, it seemed she was called out by a knight. She paused in a bit of surprise, but continued anyway. "Luciérnaga Castillera." After saying her name she gave a quick and respectable salute. In a split second, she regretted mentioning her name. Not only was it incredibly foreign sounding, but the last name Castillera was legendary among blade makers, duel disk makers, and duel runner mechanics. With any luck, perhaps he wasn't all that cultured. She ended her salute and motioned toward the sword on her back.. "As for the sword... isn't it obvious?" A cute smile spread itself on her face. With any luck, her feminine charm would get her off the hook. A clever smirk followed by a giggle. "After all, I did go to knight school..." It should be noted the young lady wasn't a fan of lying. However, this didn't mean she'd immediately tell the truth and give up her cover. She did go to knight school, even if she didn't 'pass', so to speak. She waited to hear his reply, and hopefully get the man's name as well.
.:Blu:.
"Castillera? The famed arms-smith family Castillera? Ahh yes, your family has provided this kingdom with fine arms. For that I am grateful for your family's service." Drake stated. Though Drake is quite an admirer of the Castillera's family works, he wasn't going to believe this young woman without any proof. After seeing her attempt of trying to dodge the matter at hand, Drake wasn't amused one bit. "I have no time for petty games... What proof do you have of your supposed lineage? You could be anyone, even a spy or an assassin for Tenebrae. Come with me, we will discuss matters in a more quiet setting." Drake said before turning towards an open path. "After you..." Drake said as he stood there awaiting for the young lady to start walking. Drake had to make sure to keep an eye on her. She seems suspicious especially after the stunt she pulled with the "cute smile" and "giggle". Making their way towards a holding chamber, Drake began to spoke. "You must understand that this is just protocol and nothing personal. And if, in fact, you are who you say you are, then please accept my dearest apologies." Drake said as they finally arrived. Two guards in front of the holding chamber greeted Drake with respect as they opened the door. "After you..." Drake said to Luciérnaga once again. Inside, the two made their way towards an interrogation table. After sitting down, Drake went straight down to business. "Now tell me, why should I trust you?" Drake asked without removing his helm. Catterjune
A faint blush. It seemed the name of Tenebrae's pride had reached Prax's capital. "Uhhh..." she didn't know quite what to say, however his next words were a tad unexpected. "What?" More of an exclamation as opposed to an question she wanted an answer to. He told the girl to follow, so she did so reluctantly. Running away and disappearing would just be extremely suspicious, and as a knight surrounded by peasants she'd be extremely easy to find. So she merely followed orders, as she figured knights did anyway. She was lead to an interrogating table and she had to admit she was a tad unnerved by the whole thing. Other then wearing armor and carrying a sword and shield, she didn't commit any crime. She was mildly outraged, but didn't quite know the laws in Prax, or at least Prax's capital so it may have very well been illegal to impersonate an official knight of Prax. But even so, they'd find it difficult to disprove she WASN'T a knight, wouldn't they? She was asked a question, and it took her a small bit of time to answer. "Well... why shouldn't you trust me? You thought I was a spy or an assassin, but do you really think a spy or an assassin would dress like this if they were planning something? They'd most likely be wearing peasant gear, simple tunics and cloth, not full armor with a sword and shield. That would just draw attention to themselves." She smirked as she leaned back a little. It seemed she had convinced herself at least. "What exactly do you need me to do to 'prove my lineage' or give you a reason as to 'why you should trust me'? We're all Paxian here." She had hoped he didn't hear that the Castillera family came from Tenebrae before becoming citizens of Pax.
.:Blu:.
Listening to her story, Drake stood up from his chair and walked towards a small window where vibrant sunlight can be seen and distinguished easily especially in a place like this. "You do raise some good points..." Drake replied as Luciérnaga finished what she had to say. "Tell me, Luciérnaga was it? Surely a family member of the famed Castillera should know a few things or two about the weapons and other equipments that your family made. In fact, as a Castillera you should know how to duel... Am I correct?" Drake asked hinting at what he was going to do to her. "Since you're a Castillera, you should possess quite amazing skills in dueling. It would be an honor for me to test my skills in a duel with a Castillera. So what do you say Lady Luciérnaga? Are you interested in a duel against me? If you win, I won't be meddling in any of your business anymore, but if you lose, well, surely a Castillera won't lose to a simple knight as myself." Drake said before walking towards the door and opening it. "Shall we m'lady?" Drake said.
Time Psyduck
"The others are not really an issue. They simply have different views on things," Elaine replied in an even voice. Ever the diplomat, she would still support those who opposed her. After all, they were still on the same side on the larger scale. "As for what I do now, I need to get official authorization for the operation from my father. That won't be a problem though; he understands the value of Pax as an ally. I've already had the men prepare to leave - after all, checking equipment doesn't need his majesty's approval, does it." She gave a slight smile. "Do you want to come?" she offered. "To Pax, not the palace," she clarified, "although the latter's an option as well. Some people might feel more comfortable knowing there was a knight of your calibre in the force." JesseTheCowboy
Cain walked down the hallway to the Dark King's throne room, anticipating the way his plans to up show the generals and be promoted to one himself. "I wonder what the generals will say, probably that I am misguided or possibly that I have no place here", he thought. He worried for a second that the Dark king might have him throne out at once, but then threw those thoughts out as he arrived at the door. He slowly opened the door and walked inside slightly nervous, but prepared. "My lord, I have come with a suggestion to topple the kingdom of Pax", he said as he bowed. "I have come with a strategy that with your approval I can use to get inside the kingdom of Pax, and turn it's own people against themselves". He looked to his side, where the generals stood, knowing he would soon replace one of them. He then looked up at the Dark King in all his greatness, hoping he would agree that this was the plan he needed.
.:Blu:.
"Preposterous! That plan bellows 'weakness' to our lord! Are you insulting Tenebrae's forces?!" the first general shouted towards the second general, who was a more strategic yet less ruthless man then the first general. "If you want about a third of our forces completely wiped out then by all means go ahead with your plan General Raven!" the second general responded. "Hah! You surely are an old fool General Zera." Raven replied. "ENOUGH! I've grown tired of this bickering between two of my finest generals... I want the both of you to come up with a plan by tomorrow!" the Dark King stated. Then, Cain, one of the best knights within Tenebrae arrived at the throne room. After hearing what Cain had to say, General Raven was furious at the glare Cain had given him, Zera was rather quiet about it. "You insolent fool! I have had enough of you! Guards, take him away-" Raven was then interrupted by the Dark King. "No need for that... I'm interested in the fact that you have the courage to step into my throne room without consent..." the Dark King said to Cain. "I'm also intrigued that you would have a suggestion you would like to proposed... Go on Cain, tell me your suggestion and we will see if it's something worth hearing." the Dark King allowed Cain to tell his plan. "But my lord, this knight isn't worthy to tell you of anything!" Raven replied. "Do you wish to go against my will General?" the Dark King replied, forcing Raven to bow and apologize. "No, my lord, please forgive me..." Raven stated. Raven then gave Cain a glare of hatred. "It seems to me that you have a dislike for Cain... No matter, if Cain's suggestion isn't worthy material, I will simply kill him. Now go on Cain..." the Dark King said.
Super Chaos Sonic
After he was done getting everything prepared for his leave, Lance rode off with his Duel Runner towards the pier where Princess Elaine said they would meet at when they were done. He got off his runner and then grabbed the shield on the back of his runner. Placing it on his right arm, he waited for the princess to arrive so they could leave. Lance looked around and saw no one there at the moment, not even the crew had arrived yet. "I must have gotten here a little bit ahead of time." he said with a smile. It wasn't uncommon for Zaxtrans to see duel spirits, but for Lance, the duel spirits responded back to him...which was very uncommon. "I just feel a little excited that I'm finally on a quest...that is outside of the Zaxtran kingdom." Lance said with a smirk. I understand. Time Psyduck
A messenger entered the port, delivering a letter to a naval captain sitting on some crates near the pier, speaking to a couple of his men. He scanned the letter, and instantly moved to action. The men scattered, soon returning with more men, quickly moving to load more supplies to the large ship moored up alongside where Lance was stood. The whole operation went without a hitch, the crew being practised in preparing their ship. Within a few minutes more men arrived and boarded the ship. These men, armed as soldiers, and made up of men who were not quite good enough to be appointed as knights and a number of graduates of the magic college, it was officially the Crown Princess' guard, and reported to her, but was set up so as to be able to provide reinforcements to any allies or, potentially, territories of Zaxtran that should come under attack. The princess herself arrived shortly after, having come directly from the palace after saying her goodbyes. "Ah, so you're here already, Sir Lance. I see the crew have made quick work of preparing the ship as well, so I suspect we will be underway fairly soon."

Mecha Love
Orion finished his speech, which was met by a loud cheer which could be heard all over the city. The king smiled, promising to do everything he could to save his people. Then, he turned, and walked back to the palace, being applaused by the citizens of Pax. As he did this, Astro heard a whisper. Looking to his right, he saw a cute little Synchro, one of his Tech Genus, an original and important one at that. Astro quickly moved away from the procession, knowing the king was safe. The Tech Genus flew off down the alleyway and Astro followed. Finally, he was lead to the western high tower, which looked over at the sea, and further into the distance the Zaxatran Kingdom. "Alright Wonder Magician. What bothers you?" He asked. "Something in Tenebrae. I don't know what but it's bad. Trust me on that." Came a femenine sounding reply, of the visible spirit of Wonder Magician. "Should I go there and find out?" "Yes. I would advise going towards Zaxatran, to avoid the Tenebrae scout ships." Astro nodded approvingly. "Will do." ** A short while later ** Astro boarded a ship, telling a fellow knight he would be gone a few days maximum. He told the captain which route they'd be taking and he nodded approvingly. At last, they set off towards the open sea, Astro not knowing what would happen on this journey, or what he'd see. Barian Warlord
A few hours after the Princess' ship had left port it saw another ship approaching it, this ship had the flag or Pax but strangely was not designed like the rest of their fleet, soon a dark shadow came under the Zaxatran ship and a spear like tail came out of the water and struck the mast, then it curled around the ship tightening around it as the bulk of its body emerged from the water in the form of a large dragonic creature, soon the Paxian ship came closer but they took down their flag and showed their true one revealing that they were actually the Pirates of the Star Gazer, the most dangerous pirates in the world and they were preparing to board the now crippled ship. Time Psyduck
"Please, do not worry about it," Elaine replied. "Besides, if things go wrong-" she left the sentence unfinished, turning to look out over the water. "I'd like to reflect on things by myself for a while. Do you know many of the others? I think a couple of the youngsters look up to you, and certainly seemed pleased you were coming along..." **** The captain headed up to the bridge of the ship, where his first officer was at the wheel. All seemed quiet, until a shout came from the crow's nest. A ship emerged on the horizon, and a look though a telescope showed it flying the flag of Pax. Oddly, however, the pattern wasn't a usual one from that nation. "Is it safe?" asked a young sailor. "It's probably a private vessel," replied the captain, but have the men ready, just in case. A number of off-duty crewmen scrambled to the deck as a shadow appeared beneath it. Elaine was looking down over the side of the ship at the time. "That's odd," she muttered, just before a large tail burst from the water and slashed at the mast before trying to envelop the ship. "HOLD IT OFF!" yelled the captain, "ALL HANDS!!" The crew scrambled to the tail, throwing their strength - as well as weapons - against it. Those with magical skills ran along it's length, firing against the serpentine form to force it to drop what was proving to be a rather dangerous 'prey' "That's not a Pax ship!" yelled a sailor, "that's the Star Gazer!" Elaine headed to the bow of their ship. "Pirates, huh? I'm not surprised, with this sort of fowl play. Ah well, they attacked first." She levelled her staff at the approaching vessel, and a small stream of flame emerged - one which increased in size, forming an immense fireball, large enough to cover certainly the bow of the pirate ship it was rapidly closing on. Super Chaos Sonic
Lance saw this and then looked at Elaine. "I know you will not agree with this, my princess, but for your own safety please hide somewhere." he said as he saw a hanging rope from the broken mast and grabbed it. He then moved forward and swung on the rope, moving to the middle of the the Zaxtran ship. Lance then glanced at a few pirates that were pillaging through the stuff, stop to look at him. He smirked and then pulled his sword from his sheath on his waist and then swung it around, before firmly grasping the hilt of the blade. SaTBK OST - Fight the Knight (Vs. King Arthur 2) "Unless thy want to be dismembered, I suggest ye return to the ship." Lance said, smirking a little. Then he saw a few pirates rush towards him, swinging their swords. Lance shook his head and then blocked the attacks, before kicking a few in the stomach and bashing another one with the hilt of his sword. "Anyone else? Sir Lance has much more to spare!!"
Barian Warlord
As the fireball approached the Star Gazer it was repelled by a mysterious force, the Captain new what was going to happen if the men continued to attack the creature then it would simply snap the ship in half and the pirates would pillage what they could but he new that the captain of the Star gazer always gave his victims a chance if a representative can beat him in a duel then he'd leave them be, as the men attacked the tail it responded by tightening its grip on the ship causing the wood to begin to crack much more and the ship would be crushed in 2. Seiyu began to speak when his ship was in range of the princesses ship, You have three options, surrender and we take half of your valuables, resist and have you ship crushed, or send a representative over to duel me with the condition that if they win then you get to go free but if I win then we take all your valuables.
