Effects are optional so it doesn't necesary destroy anything...>_<

I can only see the word 'can' once; you can only control one. The effects are not optional as is. It just says "when this happens, target the monster, increase..." Therefore must, although if that's not what you wanted the effect to be, rewrite it. The OCG looks horrible anyway with all the colons and semi-colons.
