1 - Overall, I like the idea of the cards. But I feel Venusaur could've had a little bit more potential than just ATK gain. It would also be nice to see Ivysaur have an actual effect.

2 - Also, the pictures are somewhat LQ, if you could find better, I would encourage changing them.

3 - OCG fixes are in bold in the quote.

4 - I am, however, curious about how Ivysaur and Venusaur gain the Level Counters. Care to elaborate?

5 - Once that's explained, I honestly really like these.

1 - I could elaborate something better Like poison or asleep like PKMN Stats :lol:

2 - Trust me, the are the BEST thing I found (other good pics was in white BG and I have no idea of how to render and put in another BG) :shock:

3 - Ok! :)

4 - They gain them in the same way as Bulbasaur but I've forgot to word it :unsure:

5 - Thank you, I tried to inovate the Summoning Conditions like the Evolving system of PKMN B)

@ Kyng of Ice: You do know that a Staple is a card that fits in a large number of Decks (especially meta), but doesn't see use in every Deck? For example, "Gladiator Beasts" cannot use "Sangan" or "Pot of Duality" due to their 1600+ ATK values and their effects. RFP Decks will also most likely side "Monster Reborn" due to their game strategy.

Hey, since Tristan said the cards were good, I got motivated to refix them

I want the opinion of another teachers and if students wants fell free to comment too *-*

[spoiler=The Pocket Monsters]

[spoiler=Bulbasaur]419009.jpg

Lore: This card is also treated as a Plant-Type monster. You can Tribute this face-up card with 3 or more Level Counters on it to Special Summon 1 "Ivysaur, the Vine Growth" from your hand or Deck. Put 1 Level Counter on this card each time it destroys a monster by battle.

[spoiler=Ivysaur]419009.jpg

Lore: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Bulbasaur, the Vine Pokemon". This card is also treated as a Plant-Type monster. You can Tribute this face-up card with 3 or more Level Counters on it to Special Summon 1 "Venusaur, the Vine Beast" from your hand or Deck. Put 1 Level Counter on this card each time it destroys a Monster Card by battle.

Lore: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Ivysaur, the Vine Growth". This card is also treated as a Plant-Type monster. Once per turn, during your Battle Phase, you can remove 3 Level Counters from this card to increase its ATK by 700 until the end of the Battle Phase. If you receive Battle Damage from a battle involving this card select 1 face-up Monster Card your opponent controls. The selected monster cannot change its position or declare an attack until your opponent's next End Phase. Put 1 Level Counter in this card each time it destroys a Monster Card by battle.

I like them. :) OCG looks good and the only thing I don't like is the pics. They look LQ.

Believa me, they are the BEST ones I found :(

I look'd for in google, in Deviant Art, in Photobucket, In Imageshack...

so I decided to retrieve the pics from the original cards ;D

I believe that this sentence: "Put 1 Level Counter on this card each time it destroys a monster by battle." should come before this sentence: "You can Tribute this face-up card with 3 or more Level Counters on it to Special Summon 1 "Ivysaur, the Vine Growth" from your hand or Deck." I think it just seems more appropriate.

The cards seem Underpowered, in my opinion. You must Tribute Bulbasaur with 3 Level counters on it to summon Ivysaur. But it must destroy a monster to get each counter. And since Bulbasaur only has 1100 ATK, it's a bit Farfetched that he'd be able to destroy 3 monsters. In order to get Venusaur out, it would take a minimum of 6 turns, while other monsters of his caliber would only take 2 or 3 turns. I think they should have effects like LV monsters, since they take too long to get the next Evolution out.

Hmm , interesting POV.

Anyway, should it take to 1 or 2 level counters? Maybe 1 for Bulba and 2 for Ivy ..

it is balanced for me

Take a look at the Armed Dragon cards in comparison to these cards and you'll see why I think these cards are UP'd.

I don't know, the other teachers say the cards are balanced but I personally believe that they are UP'd.

DAD is one of the best card Konami has been released, I say that those cards are balanced .but i dont say that it is unuseful

Compared to "Stardust", "Broniac", "Goyo", "Thunder-End", and the "Mist Valleys"; "DAD" is almost underpowered.

I agree with Renji on this. The best effects would be to have Bulbasaur read "During the End Phase of a turn where this card destroyed a monster by battle, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "Ivysaur, the Vine Growth" from your hand or Deck."

Then replace "Ivysaur, the Vine Growth" with "Venusaur, the Vine Beast" on Ivysaur's lore. It makes them faster and more usable. Look at Horus the Black Flame Dragon, or the Armed Dragon cards, for instance. Horus gets you total spell negation in 2 turns, and Armed Dragons become a potential Raigeki after 2 turns.

They are underpowered as they stand. You might also want to make their Level Up effect occur at the end of the Battle Phase to mirror the games.

HMMMM ... you're Right but it still taking a long time to Summon, maybe 3 Turns for Summoning Venusaur

And about Bulba's ATK is really easy. I'm playing GX Duel Academy on GBA Emulator and if you use a EARTH Support Deck or Tune-up it with Equip Spells you could Easly Avoid Enemy's Attacks.

Since now it'll take 1 turn only to summon Ivy, You can easly avoid the Attack using Negate Attack, Mirror Force or some cards like these :)

The problem with that is that you need the Support out before being able to get your trump out. That's the problem with the "Dark Lucius" series. Using Equip Spells on "LV" monsters is both a wasteful and unreliable method of increasing your monsters' ATK.
