I was lurking around the Duel Masters wiki, and came across this:

His name is "Banjo, the Super-energetic".
......
I felt like making him into a sig, using his original artwork as the main concept:

Not really sure what to make of it.
I'll probably just sig it regardless, because I like how it turned out.

LOVES IT.
The artwork, as said above, blends seamlessly. If you hadn't told us, I would think that the majority of it was scratched :D
The render is nice and clean.
It's a different style to what's normally seen here in Showcase, but it's nice. It's more like artwork than... I suppose, graphical explosions.

Over in the Powerforce thread, someone mentioned the font was a little off.
....Personally, I was just picked Comic Sans because it seemed rather fitting for such a comical artwork.
Either the text is just the wrong style, or its too big.

Well I did use a few clear-sky + grassy images I found, and blended them as is(with the exception of 1 of them, as I added a filter to it so the background would appear more flat, and not as realistic)

TBH, I was never really good at scratching things :/

Thanks.

I was actually going for that sort of approach, where the signature is somewhat of an expansion of the card's existing artwork. Kinda' like the Seachlightman one in my signature.

I said it creates a double view point. make it closer to the image.

It does create a double view point, but Banjo is a stronger point... and it still looks good

I feel like you could add that Bird thing in the background of the card's art over the words, or behind the words... or somewhat both... I feel like it could just add a little more, but thay is my opinion

Yes, but the text is still weakening the render. And the font is terrible.

Comic Sans should be shot. It's a disgusting font.

The lighter bits of the background is distracting.

Also, why are you always snooping around the DM wiki? Probably the same reason why I'm always snooping around the DM wiki.

Comic Sans is generally considered the bane of the typography business. Simply because its design is far too rounded and of an awkward design. Its feel is too childish and casual for any serious piece and just lowers the standards of things. I mean, there's a reason why there is a 'Ban Comic Sans' movement (search it up) and it's generally considered a joke (Google made every single search you'd search up on April Fool's Day in Comic Sans).

Via the lighter bits, I mean the strange arrows in the background. Does nothing for the piece and just makes it look amateur (as well as stealing even more focus from the render).

Armadilloz and I probably snoop round there randomly for research. It's actually a fun TCG :P

Personally, I like Comic Sans(Mostly because a lot of things I make are either lego-based or just resemble toy robots)

Actually, the arrows were my attempt at making movement-lines(or however you would call them).

I would play DM more, but the card game died over here in the US, and even then, I would still be the only one playing it :/

Anyway, the OP now contains an updated version.
....I think I accidentally made the lens flare too big >__>

Lens flare is really distracting. The text is in a slightly nicer position but you keep on stretching it awkwardly. The lines are slightly better now too.
