Tentacruel
Man, on one hand, that sucks. On the other, it means everyone won't have to buy a bunch of the new controller and can use the old Wii Controllers. I find this to be a very good thing. Phantom Roxas
Considering how the main [s]gimmick[/s] concept behind the system is that the controller could continue the game, it makes sense, though what about a multiplayer game? Considering how the controller looks like it will be pretty expensive, I'm fine with that. For those complaining about how Nintendo has mostly been focusing on the controller instead of the console itself, what was the reaction to the Wii like? I honestly don't think the console will be released until after E3 next year. Now that Nintendo has revealed the console to enable further speculation, they can talk more about the console over time and show off the launch titles next year. Apparently it won't be able to play GameCube games. Granted, the only GameCube I have is Wind Waker, so I'm hoping they add GameCube games to its Virtual Console. J-Max
With a rumored 8GB of Flash Memory I doubt it.
PowerlinX
Nintendo is beginning to get out of the family friendly bullshit. Which is a step in the right direction. But I think all Nintendo is doing is giving the console a weird gimmick so people will buy it. What they should do is put a next-gen GPU and give it revolutionary specs and they can lead the market. OnSlaUghT
Just wondering will I be able to play 2-Player with my brother, or are the controllers irreplaceable without a new console?
burnpsy
You can only get 1 of the new controller, with the console, and it cannot be bought separately. Everyone else has to use a Wiimote.
MortalKombatSmoke
It's like the I-Pad, junk until something better comes along to replace it in a year... like the I-Pad 2 XD
Twig
Apparently, it can handle more than one controller. They just don't want to force consumers to buy more than one since its pricey. I read somewhere that they'll make games with more than one Wii U controller later after they release it.

Astro Dude
Who knows. We might be able to play DS games on a TVscreen. The tv can be the top screen and the screen on the controller can be the touch screen. I can't wait to get my own. I'll be looking forward to Mario, Yu-gi-oh (if possible), and Pokemon. They may even mimprove the disaster that was Pokemon Battle Revolution.
zzuxon
I want to say that the touch screen on the WU controller has huge Super Smash Brothers applications. I bet that the main screen would show the whole stage, while the touch screen is zoomed in on the charcter. When another character gets on your touch screen, little smash symbols would appear on the opponents, and by touching the symbols, you can direct extra powerful melee attacks to those spots, representing weak spots on the opponent.http://wii.mmgn.com/News/E3-2011-Pikmin-confirmed-for-Wii-U Also, Pikmin 3 confirmed for Wii U!
