Tokiko was gaping at Kaden's last move. It was amazing how well he manipulated the cards and the combos he put together. It almost seemed like it wasn't fair. God he was good. Now Tokiko was really sure that he had heard Kaden's name before. It seemed so familiar, like someone that he should know, but never knew too much about them. It had been nagging him ever since Kaden introduced himself. But that sure was a powerful move. Tokiko was pretty sure that he would never be able to compete with Kaden and probably Iko. Who would be able to though? These people were totally in their own world. Tokiko wished he was that good too.

"It seems that banishing seventeen cards was useful!" Iko said while picking 2 cards from her Banish Pile and returning them to her Deck, "This is the power of my Fateful Fighters. I return Neo Fateful Fighter Saladin to my deck to negate Blood Red Dragon's Attack! As well as activating Fading Faith, which negates Dash's attack and banishes 2 more cards from my deck! But I've seen your Deck before, so I give up. Not too many people get to see my Faithful powers and I plan on keeping it that way. " She slashed her hand through the air and over her life point gauge.
Neo Fateful Fighter Saladin

If this card is added to your hand by a card effect: discard 1 card. While this card is in your Extra Deck: Increase the ATK of all "Fateful Fighter" monsters you control by 600.

Fading Faith

She had just resigned? How could she? What was the point of having a deck if not to duel? Tokiko was sure that she could have at least pushed him a little more before losing, even though Kaden was like nothing he had ever seen before. He doubted that she had given up because she wasn't good enough. Maybe her cards held a secret of some sort and she did not want too many people to see. That is what she had said at least. In fact they had drawn quite a crowd. And she saw the girl that he had interviewed yesterday among them. He contemplated going over and talking to her, but decided against it. But it had been a great duel. He assuredly wanted to talk to both of them about the duel now, but he didn't want them to waste their time with him if they did not want to. He wanted to talk to them, but not to waste their time. He continued to contemplate whether or not to walk over and talk to them.

"You did the right thing, Iko. But do not duel too much." said Terrol, her duel spirit, that wasn't too happy about her dueling and almost showing the true powers of the fateful fighters. "Do not worry, Kaden is the only one who can really tell, and he cannot figure it truly out without seeing my deck."Iko said in response to Terrol. She walked over to Tortiko with her duel disk completely closed and her deck put back into her deck socket. "I hope you enjoyed a little sneak peak, but can I see your deck?" she asked in happiness, wanting to see how strong he was officially.

Sure! Tortiko replied, eager to show her something he had worked so hard on. Its not that much, but I have worked with it for a while, but I need to get used to using it again because I haven't used it in a while. Its hard to just jump right back in, do you know what I mean? He handed her his Machina deck with a smile on his face. He was amazed that a person that good at dueling wanted to look at his deck. She would probably find it extremely weak, because it was compared to hers. Now one of my favorite combos is to use Machina Gearframe to fetch Machina Sniper from my deck and then use Dimensional Prison to protect it until I can get Machina Sniper out. Once I get Machina Sniper out I combine them because Machina Gearframe is a union monster and have a 3600 attack monster. Its not much compared to you and Kaden, but where I came from it was pretty impressive. And of course I love Machina Armored Unit, because if I lose one of my beloved Machina monsters then I get to pull another one out of my deck. I also included Metalmorph in there so that some of my monsters can go toe to toe with monsters as powerful as your's and Kaden's. Although I am making a lot out of it, it is not that much to brag about. He loved sharing something that he had been working on and for his whole life with someone that he deeply respected. So far it was a good day for Tortiko. Except he realized that he still had to do something about tuition. Oh well, later. Right then he focused on showing Iko his deck.

She looked through his deck, flipping his cards around each other to see each. She stopped at some certain cards to read the effects and study them a little bit. "This deck to too easy to beat, no wonder why Kaden's weak deck beat it so easily." said Terrol. "Tortiko, you have a nice deck, it is interesting, but could use some work. And my monsters are nothing special, especially my Terrol monster!" she said, hinting that she was getting mad at her duel spirit. He wasn't to happy with the response, so he disappeared into her deck and was gone from her sight. Iko gave back the Deck and gave another smile.

Tortiko was both confused and delighted at her response Well do you have any advice on how to make it better? You must have an amazing deck! I won't ask to see it though because you didn't want people to see it, that's why you stopped dueling in the first place, right? But is there something special in that deck? Tortiko wanted to learn more about this and so much more. There was a whole lot that he could learn from her about dueling. But he would want to talk to Kaden also. See if he had any advice for him too. You could always get better, especially when you were around duelists this good. But then he started to worry about wasting their time. They had to have places to go, things to see and he would be eating away at their precious time with his amateur-esque questions. What should he do? Well, Iko had come to him, so he shouldn't worry about wasting her time, because she had come to him. But what about Kaden. He wanted to learn more about his little dragon too. Maybe Iko knew something about that. Hey, Iko. You can see Kaden's small dragon too, right? Why is it there? What is it?

Kaden turned like a solider that was given an order, but his face was lighten by a little bit of delight. "Niether of them really tried hard enough. That wasn't even my best play. Where is poor little zane-E-pooh when you need him?" Kaden thought to himself, the little Dragon reappeared behind Kaden's right leg as he began to make his way out of the crowd. He barrowed a bussiness card from the man at the front desk and wrote the address to the Pizza place that just opened up in the High-quality merchant's district. He walked back to Iko just to hand her the bussiness card and walked out of the crowd again. He got to his Duel-runner in the parking lot a few buildings away and started to make his way to the Pizza Place.

Tortiko saw Kaden walk over and saw the dragon behind him. Tortiko thought about what to say about Kaden, with the interest of time in mind. He thought a while longer while Kaden handed a card to Iko. Suddenly, Tortiko knew that the most important thing to him was to ask about the dragon thing, advice could come later. He looked around for Kaden to ask him about it, but Kaden was nowhere to be found. He had spent too long thinking about what to say to Kaden in the interest of time that he wasted so much time that Kaden was gone. Tortiko was a little bit ashamed, but then again Kaden didn't know that he meant to ask a question, so he had no reason to feel shame. But now the business card intrigued him. They already were acquainted, so it probably wouldn't be his phone number, so what could it be? What is on that card that Kaden gave to you? he asked Iko.

"My deck is suppose to be godly, that is about it! And of course I can see his dragon, he is kind of a part of me. And on this card is for the pizza place, get of my duel runner and I'll drive you there." Iko said while holding out her hand with the card in it and grabbed a card from her deck box,"Well come quickly, we do not want to lose Kaden!"she said laughably while starting to run towards her duel runner. She reached her duel runner and waited for Tortiko to come so they could head off to the pizza place.

Tortiko jumped on the duel runner in even more awe. He would never been on a duel runner before and it was awesome. The sleek texture and everything just made him itch to duel again. He had to pull out his deck and hold it in his hand just to think straight. But now that he was thinking straight, he was completely excited to be going to a pizza place with his two newest idols. It took a while to get through his head. But then he realized that she had said that the dragon was a part of her. And her deck was godly. What was up with that? Then Tortiko started to think about the pizza place again. Who would pay? What would he get? Decisions decisions.

"You ready?"Iko said when she slipped her duel disk into the socket and placed the card she had in her hand onto the the middle monster zone. Her duel runner started to light up and rev with sound. She put her hands on the two handles and pulled one of them back. The duel runner was already starting to ignite and they were on their way to the pizza place in the same way Kaden was because Iko was following him. She only could a glimpse of the back of Kaden's duel runner, but she sensed his location.

The city was amazing as they rolled by. Tortiko could hardly wait for the pizza. He loved cheese. But he knew that pepperoni was better. Oh and there was Hawaiian. But then he remembered that he could get BBQ chicken. So many different types of pizzas that made Tortiko's mouth water. But of course that should be on the back of his mind. He should be thinking of what to ask them. He knew he should ask them for advice and what that little dragon was, but there was so much more. How could Iko's deck be godly? How did they learn to duel so well? And why this pizza place? Mmmmmm. Pizza. From then on Tortiko drooled, thinking about the food.

Kaden pulled into the parking lot of the giant new Pizza Place. It just opened yesterday and one of Kaden's famous friends said something about the cute waiters. A small grin danced on his lips as he walked for the doors and swung both of them open with a hand each. He walked into the lobby and a tall teenaged boy stood behind a desk and Kaden payed for the seating and described the two guests he was treating. The young boy nodded and sent Kaden on his way. Kaden walked around the large wall and into a large room that was elegant and fresh. Their was a nice window booth-like seating arangement with space for two Teenagers on both sides of a square table that was five feet by five feet for sides. Kaden sat at the nearest booth and found that it was the booth he was asigned to. He grinned and noted that a Pizza Joint this fancy would have to be some kind of silly Oxy-morron. The place was about half-full and everyone else got large tables with small groups, it was a little quite.

Iko saw Kaden's duel runner from the glimpse of her eyes and pulled into the parking lot as well right next to Kaden's. She got off of her duel runner, put her hand out to help Tortiko out and with the other hand, grabbed her card the duel disk and slipped it into her deck box at a hasty speed. Her duel runner shut off with no sound or fuel being let out of it. She had never been here before, but she had to know if any Margarita pizza was here, she loved the taste of it. She was still waiting for Tortiko.

Tortiko took Iko's hand and got off of the duel runner. It seemed like a really nice Pizza place, but also really expensive. He really hoped that he didn't have to pay for anything, because he couldn't. And if Kaden and Iko were counting on him to cover some of the cost and he did not follow through then they might not think as approvingly of him. He had to act carefully, otherwise he was sure that they would get irritated with him. Everyone always was. And manners, good manners. Although its hard to have good manners while eating pizza. Pizza. That got his mind taking off again. He probably would get the BBQ chicken if they had one, but he could practically taste the cheese melting in his mouth. But he wanted pepperoni too. And he could really go for some pineapple and sausage. While he was thinking about the pizza, he wasn't really getting any decision making done. He was just fantasizing about the warm goodness of pizza.

When Tortiko was off of the duel runner, she started to walk towards the door and to enter the building. Once she did so, she opened the door and entered through the entrance. She saw how crowded it was and was looking around for Kaden. She couldn't find him, but she sensed his location. Iko started to follow her senses and came to the booth that Kaden was at. "Mind moving in so I can sit down?" Iko said happily while making her hands flip forward and backwards while the fingers were facing down to tell him to move in.

Kaden chuckled a little as he scooted into the booth for his window seat. The sun had it's softer light from the window, falling on to Kaden and lighting his more kind characteristics. His eyes scanned the room and found Tokitoro and he waved at the strange seemingly poor boy to get him to the booth. Kaden then rested his head in his right hand and let his right elbow set on the table as he moved his view into Iko's eyes. He smiled his usual smile. "I can afford to pay for everything. You two shouldn't feel afraid to order as much of the expensive stuff as you want." Kaden's eyes seemed to slowly shift to the door where the waiter would come and take their order in a few minutes.

Tortiko sat at his spot and listened to Kaden's words. It shocked him that he could order whatever he wanted. But he didn't want to seem like a pig to them, so he would only choose one personal pizza. He knew that he could easily eat three though. He picked up the menu and just started looking at all of the different pizzas. There were the classics such as cheese and pepperoni, then there were greats like BBQ chicken. And there was some healthy stuff that he didn't pay attention to. When he saw the picture that they had on there of their BBQ chicken, he knew that he would get that. The BBQ sauce looked flavorful but smooth and the chicken looked well cooked. He knew that it probably wouldn't look like this or taste as good as it looked to him, but just the picture got him fantasizing again. He quickly snapped out of it and tried to look professional around Kaden and Iko.

Iko started to blush when Kaden said that he was going to pay. "You sure you can afford it? I mean, you seem like the kind to eat a lot." she said when her hunger was starting the take control. Her stomach started to rumble and moan. With a yawn coming from her, she rested her head upon Kaden's shoulder. "Sorry, just a little bit tired. You do not mind, though, do you?"she said with a smile and her hand lowering down. She was happy to be here, even if she was hungry.

Kaden grinned a little wider when he noticed Iko's blush. He then draged a specificly colored Credit card out of his pocket and set it on the table. "When you get sponsers who love you enough to give you unlimited Living expenses they pay off as long as you use their credit card, you find it more easy to pay for whatever. The money for my sick looking duel-runner didn't even come out of my own Pocket." Kaden said with a normal smile at the end and he noticed how un-comfortable Toki appeared to be. "Hey man, Relax. Be yourself." Kaden spoke to the boy who was starting to weird him out. Kaden smiled down at Iko when she rested her self on his shoulder. The waitress or waiter would be on their way in a few minutes.

Tortiko smiled as Kaden told him to be himself. He didn't realize he was tense before, but he started to relax in his seat. But then he started to realize what Kaden had said before that. Sponsors? Unlilited living expenses?! How did he get that stuff. And his name was bugging Tortiko more than ever. Then suddenly it hit him. Kaden was a professional duelist! He was famous! God how did he not realize it before? It was stupid of him. He had heard about him before, but just from friends. He never saw the news or picked up a newspaper even though he was a part-time journalist. He felt really stupid and really hoped nobody noticed his gasp.

"The only reason you are famous, Kaden, is because you saved my soul from getting captured."said Iko while giggling, "You weren't the one to even save me, your Dark Realm dragon did the trick." She lifted her head to think about what she wanted to order after saying what she had said. Then, she put her head back on Kaden's shoulder when the waitress started to arrive with the order forms in her hands."Kaden, show off your money with the waitress and maybe Tortiko, but not me!" she said with her tongue sticking out.

Kaden had saved Iko's soul? What was that about? There was something strange going on here. Like Iko saying that her deck was holy, the saving soul thing, and the dragon thing. So what is with your dragon? What is it? Where did it come from? And what is this about saving souls and stuff? Tortiko was absolutely confused. He had no idea what was going on at all and felt really out of the loop. These two were really something. In fact he now thought that they were a couple. But its like they were a part of another world. He would have thought they were crazy, but no crazy people would be that good at dueling. You had to be sane and devoted to be that good.

Kaden smiled at Tortiko's confusion. "Some people would worry about telling others if they were in my situation. Some would start with 'You wouldn't believe me if I told you'. And then just not say. But I feel confident that it doesn't matter whether or not you believe me or think I'm kind of psycho-nut. I have more than enough prove to display that you'd have to be insane as well. You are actually able to see my Young Blood Red Dragon here, this is a duel spirit and prove that I'm not some nut-job." Kaden then pulled up his left sleave and the strange markings began to glow with a misty-blue. "And then there are these. With these markings I have obtained some mysterious Spiritual powers that allowed me to re-attach Iko's soul to her body after a dangerous Ghost-Dragon Ate it one crazy night at our old summer School."
