[One week from The First day of Neo-Amai Duel-runner Academy.]

The morning was sunny, Black duel-runner came roaring down a large road that lead into a city that was massive and full of roads. The city was almost as tall as one fifth of it's width. The Man on the Duel Runner had lifted his head to the wind with a grin. It was Kaden. His hair flew around in the wind as his eyes followed the small signs. He was no less than half a mile from his apartment. Kaden grinned, he roared his Duel-runner down the opposite road of his Apartment and came down a ramp to a very large road that was ground-level. He grinned wider as his Duel-runner picked up speed. He kept to going straight. He pushed the Duel-runner faster, it wasn't even going half the full possible speed, but it was still going so fast. He reached the medium sized ramp in the middle of the road and took off soaring in the air. He went so fast, that he landed on a long stretch of road that was hundreds of feet in the air. This road lead straight to the biker gang's den. It used to be linked to all of the other roads, but the bridge was destroyed and only skilled riders and mechanics can soar this high to get up here. With a sigh, Kaden let his duel runnergently glide backward till he fell, smacking all the pressure on his well tuned back wheel that absorbed the shock. He shrugged it off as he kept riding. He was now a half-hour from his destination, his apartment.

The sun, however, was not being enjoyed by everyone. Zane was slowly walking down one of the few back allies in the "bad" area of the city. The last duelist he faced had fallen to his knees, weeping. Zane swiped the poor duelist's deck and scanned through it. [color="#0000FF"]"Tch, nothing worth my time in this piece of junk."[/color] He said, tossing the contents into the air. He continued on walking down the street, until he reached an opening. There, was his duel runner. A sleek, white and green masterpiece. He quickly mounted it and revved the engine, causing numerous large wind blasts to the surrounding area. Soon, he took off, hurtling down the alleyway. Soon, he reached the main road where he perfectly melded into the traffic. Soon enough, he took a detour off the main road, taking the no-go highroad. As he accelerated, a large amount of turbulence became visible around his Duel Runner, however the fine tuning was unaffected by this. As he reached the edge of the road, he made one final rev, launching him into the air. Shortly, he descended gracefully onto the road which was above him, a road virtually impossible to reach. He was destined for his own apartment, which now about 35 minutes away.

[/color]Kanjuro Bunraku just finished fixing up his Duel Runner, the Tanaka. Regular tuning, tire change, and oil change was all it needed to be back at 100%
He was quite eager to get into the Duel Academy, many strong duelists were there or so he heard, not to mention the ladies. If he had known all it would take were some wind up mini-Karakuri puppets he wouldve done it ages ago. He gets on, attaches strings to the inside of the hood, maybe some chicks will pass and admire being able to drive with just strings. He drives out of the family owned workshop, in the mood to find someone to duel. His mood is interupted by a Duel Runner nearly clipping his. [color="#A0522D"]"Hey a-hole did you learn to drive in freaking preschool?" [/color]He chases this Duel Runner across a destroyed bridge, till he realized he just landed in the Biker's Den.[color="#A0522D"] "Oh great, just my luck."[/color] He was about to leave till he saw the one the principle talked about, Kaden his name was. The gears in his head turning at full speed, he reved the engine with a flick of a string on his pinkie finger and sped off to duel him.

Kaden didn't notice any unnusual activity for a little while. He was just nearing the back-road that differented the normal streets from the Biker gangs territory. Basically a small dirt road that was inbetween a normal half of the city and the worst place to be ever, when he noticed someone following him. With a grin, Kaden slowed down to the other boy's Duel-runner, pulling back his left sleeve to reveal his left arm. Purple letters from an unknown Spirit language hand being gliding across it's skin with excitement. [color="#0000FF"]"You there, Boy. What bussiness have you in this territory, and what does it have to do with me?"[/color]

Zane considered taking the scenic route home, but he decided against it, he felt he needed to spend as much time as he could perfecting his deck for the new academy. He sped through the streets past the Biker gang's territory, and up ahead he noticed what looked like Kaden and some kid he couldn't recognise. He slowed down, hoping for a while that neither would notice, but of course, Zane enjoyed to anger people, so he felt this would be his prime opportunity to annoy the kid Kaden was talking to, and possibly try out his deck against Kaden. He suddenly accelerated towards the two riders, the turbulence of his own rider severely decreasing the two's balance. However, just as he did this he re-thought his plans. He didn't want to appear as if he was asking Kaden for help, and instead decided it best to continue speeding along until he reached his apartment.

[color="#A0522D"]"Hmph, no business, just a duel. Word is your the big man on Duel Academy campus, naturally i plan on remedying that before we even get there." [/color]He moved the strings on his index fingers and the engine of his Duel Runner roared in challenge to Kaden. [color="#A0522D"]"So you gonna throw down or attempt to run now that your play group isnt here?"[/color] He knew he was pushing his luck, but he believed he could score a win, hell hes better at driving and dueling with strings than most are at actually driving!

Kaden thought Revving his Engine as he sped straight down the lane that lead to the Heart of the Biker Gang's part of the city, it was not to far away, but Kaden new that he was going to run into someone that knew him before he would make it. With a grin, He popped a wheely around the turn. [color="#4169E1"]"I'm that Famous huh? Kill a Spirit Dragon that is bent on ending the world and just about anyone will want a peace of ya, aye?"[/color] Kaden Drew five cards and activated the effect of Speed World 2. [color="#4169E1"]"And Since you challenged me, I decide to go second! Take your move wisely!"[/color]

Zane had anticipated that the two would duel. The kid had a cocky look on his face when Zane had passed, so he knew this would be the perfect time to scout out how Kaden had changed. He took a side-street that lead up to one of the few roads higher than the one they were on. As he hurtled along he could see the duel between the two duelists start. [i][color="#0000FF"]"This ought to be interesting."[/color][/i] He thought to himself. He figured that if he knew Kaden's strategies now, he wouldn't have to risk losing to him when it really counted, besides he still had a whole week until the day the Academy opens, so he figured deck perfecting could wait.

[color="#A0522D"]"I Summon Karakuri Watchdog Mdl 313 "Saizan!"[/color] (4 stars/Machine/Tuner/600 ATK/1800 DEF) The springs, coils, and cogs coming to life as the mechanical dog growled at Kaden.[color="#A0522D"]"This card is forced to attack when possible, but can't be destroyed by battle when in ATK position, and switches to DEF when attacked in ATK position and vice-versa. I set 3 face-downs and call it a turn."[/color]

Kaden Drew his recent card and set it into his hand. [color="#4169E1"]"Since I drew my Cursed Tuner of Dark Realm, this Turn, I can special summon him from my hand!"[/color] Kaden said, playing a monster who's dark armor appeared to fit in gears. [color="#4169E1"]"I also set three face downs, But I'm not done here, I normal Summon My Corrupted Fiend Mage of Dark Realm! Since there are two monster's face up on my side of the field that include "Dark Realm" in their name, It gains 1000 ATK! I skip my Battle Phase to Special Summon my Cursed Tyrant of Dark Realm! But I will Now Tune him with my Cursed Tuner to Synchro Summon my Fiend Batle Master of Dark Realm! I end my turn!"[/color]

Then I activate one of my facedowns, Karakuri Trick House!"[/color] An interior full of wheels, a spike ceiling, and other devices surround Kaden's Fiend Battle Master. [color="#A0522D"]"When a Karakuri switches battle positions i can destroy one card on the field! That synchros got to go. Next, I Summon Karakuri Ninja mdl 339 "Sazank"[/color] (Machine/Earth/3 stars/ 1200ATK AND DEF) and its time for my own Syncrho Summon![color="#A0522D"] "Strings pull, gears turn, cogs spin, let the work of the puppet master create art everlasting! go Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 "Burei"[/color] (Earth/7 stars/ Machine/Synchro/ 2600 ATK/ 1900 DEF) [color="#A0522D"]"This work of art lets me Special Summon a Karakuri monster from my deck, and I choose Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi!"[/color] (Earth/Machine/Tuner/3 stars/ 500 ATK/1600 DEF) [color="#A0522D"]"When he's normal or special summoned i can change the position of one monster on the field, and I'm picking your Mage. For this turn my Nishipachi gains 1000 ATK, but its effect becomes negated, but seeing how as i already used it thats a moot point. Now Nishipahi attack, then followed up by Burei!"[/color]

Zane watched on from afar, rather shocked at the occuring events. It was unusual for Kaden to be put under pressure so early on, or so he thought. I appeared to him that this new kid was better than he appeared. [i][color="#0000FF"]Shame... If he didn't have to rely on them stupid Synchros he might have actually gained some respect from me."[/color][/i] Zane thought to himself, naturally indulged in his own ego. However, the situation did keep him intrigued enough to want to see how Kaden would respond, if it were at all possible for him to do so. If not, then he figured he had a new duelist he had to crush before he got too in over his head.

[color="#4169E1"]"During your Standby Phase, I activate Two Mystical Space Typhoon's to Destroy Two of your Face-downs."[/color] Kaden new that was a b**** Move, but he had other plays that were simply too good as well, this not even being in the top 50. His left arm grew brighter, he wanted to activate his last card, but felt it was far too soon. He'll wait to see how His opponent's turn plays out with only one face-down on the field and his monster, but feared that by then, he'd be screwed. Kaden Revved his Duel-runner and sped along, his hair waving as his game-face didn't reveal the excitement deep within him.

Defenetely a b**** move, Nishipachi wasn't getting his attack boost, but Kanjuro wasn't planning on going down that easily, and at least he was able to use Trick House and take out the synchro. [color="#A0522D"]"Not bad, but show me just what made you so famous. I'll set another facedown and end things from there." [/color] He speeds up right along side Kaden, making a show out of manuvering with the strings.

Nova felt the wind against his face. His duel runner was going at top speed. He didnt belive it when he heard that Kaden was going to Neo-Amai as well. The two hadnt seen each other in years, not since the events in Summer Academy. Now, the two would meet again, this time, in a competely different city. He almost missed a right turn because he was so deep in thought. As he was slowing down on a narrower road, Nova could hear faint shouts below him. He stopped his Duel Runner, and looked down at the road below. He couldnt belive his eyes. It was Kaden, dueling with some kid. He quickly mounted his duel runner, and pressed a small button.

"Short Teleport Mode activated" said a calm robotic voice. Most people didnt belive this would be possible, but Nova had been looking into this for some time now. After a quick rev of his runner, he was down on the same road as Kaden. He accelerated fast, and quickly caught up with the two. It seemed Kaden was at a disadvantage, but Nova knew better. Kaden always had a trick up his sleeve.

[color="#4169E1"]"Hold your Horses there, I have a little something in-store for your Shogun!"[/color] Kaden Grinned. He felt this was another b****-play, but again, this kid wasn't seeing the half of it. [color="#4169E1"]When your Shogun is Summoned, I activate the Equip Trap Card, Dark Realm Corruption! I equip it to your Shogun! Now Not only is it's effect negated, but it can also be counted as a Dark Realm monster! This Means my Fiend Mage gains another 500 for the Two Dark Realm Monsters on the field, landing him at 2500! If you enter your Battle Phase, one Corruption counter is put on your monster for every Dark Realm Monster on My side of the field! For each Counter placed on that Monster, he loses 500 ATK!"[/color] Kaden Mentioned, he was glad he waited. [color="#4169E1"]"It is still your main-phase one, boy, take it wisely."[/color]

When this card is activated, it is epuiped to a Monster on your opponents side of the field. The equiped Monster can be considered a "Dark Realm" Monster and it's effect is negated. Once per turn, during either player's Battle Phase, Place a Corrupt Counter on the Equiped card for every Fiend Typed Monster on your side of the Field(Max 5). The Equiped Monster loses 500 ATK points for every Corrupt counter placed on it. When 5 Corrupt Counters are placed on the equiped Monster, it is removed from play and you can Special Summon one our two Monsters from your Deck or Graveyard that's stars are equal to or Less than the monster's stars that was removed from play by this effect. If the Equiped Monster is destroyed by Battle or Removed from Play by this cards effect, you can add this card to your hand.

Even though his field was practically empty, the gears in his head were spinning at full speed, he was having the time of his life and school hasn't even started yet. He maneuvered past otters with a flick of the strings on his fingers, people voicing their awe at his ability. "That's right, watch as I take this duel to the next level."

Crade had finished a duel with some guy that tryed to steel from him, he sighed in disrespect to the man as he fell on Crade's feet, Crade turned himself and got up his duel runenr, he put on his helm and was about to leave when he heard noise getting louder on a road in front of him, in a blink of an eye some people passed in front of him, he noticed that two of the were duelling, he could only notice one card on field, a "Dark Realm" card. Crade's eyes open wide as he saw the monster, he muttere "Dark Realm... Could it be?" his eyes norrowed "It can only be him...", he pressed a buttom on his helmet and said "Lise, I had fins some old friends, I'm going to follow them, I will let you knowing about my location all the time." he heard a response "Okay, I meet you where you guys stop, see you there Crade-Kun!". Crade blushed and said "O-Okay, going now, roger." he turned the comm. off and got in position on his duel runner, he started running as fast as needed to catch up with the others, as eh started runnign he sighed and muttered to himself "Why do I still get a bit shy when she says that...", he put himself in a place where all the others were at his left side since his right eye was long blinded.

[color="#4169E1"]I Get to Draw three cards and reveal them to you, All Monsters and Trap Cards are added to my hand, but all Spell cards are sent to the Graveyard! And what do you know? I get two 'Dark Realm' Monsters! Including 'Blood dragon Spawn of Dark Realm and 'Greketh, Dragon Knight of Dark realm', the spell card I drew goes to my Graveyard! Now, Since I added two Monster's to my hand, Niether of us can Draw for the duration of the next two Standby phases, This including yours then mine. I Normal Summon 'Blood Dragon spawn of Dark Realm and then Special Summon Greketh, Dragon Knight of Dark Realm with Blood Dragon spawn's effect. With this I enter my battle Phase and place 3 corrupt Counters on your Monster and end my turn! But that isn't all- Don't forget you can not Draw your next turn, and niether can I."[/color]

Zane watched from above as he saw another figure approach the duel. It took him a while to noticed but he was rather stunned to notice that this new figure was Nova. He was quite taken aback, he hadn't seen Nova in a long time, and even though he tried not to show it, he did still have some respect for Nova. He revved up his runner, veered left and used the incredible turbulence around his runner to launch him into the air. He glided down to the same level, coming close to colliding with Nova, but keeping his runner under perfect control. [color="#0000FF"][i]"Long time, no see."[/i][/color] He greeted, in a significantly calmer tone than normal. [color="#0000FF"][i]"Since obviously nothing interesting's going on here.... lets see how bad you've gotten, eh?"[/i][/color] Zane spoke loudly, still in a much calmer voice than anyone was used to hearing from him. He meant business, he wanted to see whether Nova was still any good, but also to test his own skills against a duelist he actually respects.

Blake veered left around the corner, leaning his body as far as possible without falling off his duel runner to make the turn as short as possible. Coming out of the corner, Blake straightened up, before flicking the back end of the duel runner up a bit to slide coolly around a right-leaning corner, revving his engine considerably as he came out of the corner. He'd ridden along this highway hundreds of times before, but never before on this duel runner. His brother had made this duel runner for him, a completely unique duel runner just for Blake. [i]"Man I'm lucky, this speed is incredible...."[/i] Along the highway Blake sped, phasing through the corners at incredible speed as he slowly approached the main road back into the city. Merging onto the road, Blake kept the speed up, drifting in between the traffic effortlessly as he took a turning in the heart of the city, heading down a few more empty streets before drifting to a quick stop outside a small garage. Taking off his helmet, Blake looked into the garage as his brother came out of the garage. Kyle was tall and built largely, but somehow managed to remain extremely nimble and technical at the same time. No wonder the duel runner turned out to be a masterpiece. "Kyle, that was fantastic! I can't believe you'd give this to me, it's incredible!"

[color="#0000FF"]"I know...."[/color] Kyle grinned, obviously enjoying the compliments from his little brother, [color="#0000FF"]"and it's all yours bro, use it wisely. Otherwise I may have to just take it back and sell it."[/color]
"I will Kyle. At Duel academy next week, me and this baby are going straight to the top!" Blake and kyle grinned at each other as they pushed the bike inside. "Now do what you need to do to it quickly, I wanna take this out again"

"You want to duel Zane? Fine, lets do this! I'll take the first move! Speed World 2, Set! Draw! I summon the mighty god, Tlazolteotl, in ATK mode (1900), and actiavte the continious Spell Card, Sacred Worship of the Gods! With this, i can place 1 Worship Counter on this card during both Stand-by phases! I also set a card face-down, and end!" Nova shouted across at Zane. He was in for a surprise. He had completely changed his deck. Soon, his Mightiest God would come fourth, and Zane would be cowering in fear. He laughed, knowing he was just joking.

[i][color="#0000FF"]"You don't stand a ghost of a chance in this duel, believe me."[/color][/i] Zane taunted. [i][color="#0000FF"]"First I'll summon my Dodger Dragon (1900 ATK). As I expect you to know, you can't stop his summon, and he also prevents the use of certain traps for the rest of the turn. But I'm not done yet. I release 1 of my 2 Speed counters to activate my Speed Spell - Silver Contrails! This increases my dragon's strength by 1000 points!"[/color][/i] The turbulence around Zane's runner picked up, and his Dodger Dragon appeared to get stronger. [i][color="#0000FF"]"I'd like to see your pathetic 'god' stand up to this attack. Dodger Dragon, Stealth Raid!"[/color][/i] His dragon immediately dived straight for Nova's monster. Zane smirked. [i][color="#0000FF"]"Can you handle it?"[/color][/i]

[Time Skip, The First day of Duel Runner academy-Intro into turbo-duels]


Kaden stepped into the giant field that was several stadiums wide. It held four different tracks for which one on one or three on three duels were going to take place this year. There was one dueling staduim with it's own door all the way to the right. All the students stood or sat, on or around the Gigantic Bleachers that was infront of the main doors of the academy. Kaden took his seat as the instructer started his instructions.

"Students, my name is Mr. Kawaki! These courses will not only hone your skills in many different ways, but the top 5 students each get free rain to have their Turbo-Team join the World Dueling Torny. This Year's tourny will not only hold a one-on-one Traditional Duel Tourny, but also a tournament with turbo-dueling. These Turbo duels will consist of 6 teams. Each Team holds three team-members. The Actual duel rules for the World Tourny will be released on their website, you can check on it later. Now, Will I have some Duelists who have their runner's to volunteir to Demonstrate a Turbo Duel?"

Zane had noticed Kaden enter as he was sitting near the entrance. He smirked when he realised that that meant Kaden was definitely going to be part of the competition at the academy. As Zane heard the announcement that duelists could volunteer to demonstrate a turbo-duel he very nearly did stand up. However, he realised that he didn't want to reveal all his strategies yet. He wanted to wait until he dueled Kaden to show anything off, so he remained seated and waited to see if anyone else was willing to stand up and duel. Besides, a little inside information on the competition never hurt anyone, he thought.
