I have two "Number 39: Utopia"s out, along with two face-down traps. Dude pulls out Lord of D, and something else that allows him to Special Summon 2 Dragons from his hand. He does one then Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Remember:

 

Blue-Eyes = 3000 ATK

Utopia= 2500 ATK

 

He attacks, then I activate my trap which gives each of my Xyz monsters 300 ATK and DEF for each Xyz material. I now have 3100 ATK. He claims Lord of D prevents that.

 

I said his Blue-Eyes is destroyed, but he argues that I can't activate my Trap. Seeing as Lord of D's effect specifically targets his monsters, and my Trap only effects mine...who is right?

It doesn't target his monsters. Blue-Eyes would be destroyed.

What card gives you that ATK raise? If yo activate that card during the Battle Step, the attack goes through. Unless it really goes through damage calculation. And you targeted your own monster, so your opponent is wrong.
