The Oncoming Storm
YU-GI-OH: SHROUD OF DESTINY Characters:Dark Marik, Yami Bakura, and a "Dark" version of Yubel (Note: I do not own Yugioh or Yugioh GX) PROLOGUE: THE DARK ALLIANCE Two cloaked figures were walking down a dark abandoned tunnel underneath the old Industrial Illusions castle that had once belonged to Maximillian Pegasus (When Pegasus retired, he sold the island and relocated to an island a few miles of the coast of Domino City). They were meeting someone at the end of this perticular corridor . When they reached the end of the corridor, they met a thrid cloaked figure. Around his neck was an oddly shaped pendant: a circular symbol with six points hanging down, and in the middle, there was a triangular shape with an ornate eye in the middle. "You're late." the person with the pendant said to the other two colaked figures. He had a coarse, deep voice, and there was an almost demonic quality in it. "I expected you two almost 30 minutes ago." "It's difficult to get around unseen." the cloaked figure on the right said a little angrilly. This person was alson male. "And you must remember, Bakura, i have been trapped within the Shdow Realm ever since Battle City." "And ever since the fusion between me and Jaden, i haven't been able to even surface." said the other cloaked figure, this one a woman's voice. The person calld Bakura told them, 'Forget about that now. I'm glad both of you could come." "Why did you call us here in the first place?" the woman asked Bakura. "Simple, Yubel. We are going to start a war." repiled Bakura. "A war?" asked the one called Yubel. "Right." answered Bakura. "This war's purposes: to encompass the world in shadows, and to complete what Seto Kaiba almost acheived mere months ago in a duel with Yugi Moto: resurrect Anubis, the Egyptain lord of the Dead." "But for a war we'd need an army." said the other cloaked person. "Exactly, Marik." replied Bakura. "I have a plan for that. We will assemble an army by means of our Millenium Items: your Millenium Rod and my Millenium Ring." He then indicated the pendant hanging from his neck. The one called Marik then took something from his cloak: a long golden staff with a sphere shape on the end with two arrowhead-shaped protrusions on the sides, and the same ornate eye that was on Bakura's Millenium ring: Marik's Millenium Rod. "Exactly." said Bakura maliciously. "Sending the souls of people to the shadow realm, possessing them, and 'drafting' them, giving them a dueling deck and a duel disk and give the their orders: hunt down anyone with a Millenium Item and/or anyone with any connections to Yugi Moto or Jaden Yuki." "A return of the Shadow Hunters?" asked Marik. "Exactly." said Bakura. "When will this war begin?" asked Yubel. "All in good time, my friends." replied Bakura even more maliciously. He turbed his attention to Marik. "Begin the separation, Marik." Marik raised his Millenium Rod and pointed it towards Bakura, muttered an undistinguishable spell. There was a flash of light, a scream fom Bakura, and it was done. In place of where Bakura was standing, the cloak was thrown in a heap on the floor. He was standing on one side of the hall, an evil look on his face, and on the other side of the hall, unconscious, was what looked like a clone of Bakura, onlm less evil looking, in fact, almost normal looking. "It is complete." said the Bakura on the left side of the hall in a deadly whisper. "Leave him here. He will be found soon enough." Both Marik and Yubel stared at Bakura for 2 full minutes, then continued down the corridor, and as they left, Bakura said victoriously, "This war of the Covenant of Anubis....has....begun." And slowly, he left to join Yubel and Marik. Little did any of them know that normal Bakura was conscious enough to hear the whole conversation. There was only one thing left to do now...... Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
Not bad at all... It's a bit anti-climactic in places, but is certainly dramatic. Good story.
