How GX Heros should have been

Recommended Posts

You guys remember what Elemental Heros were like before nature heroes came along? You know, with normals like avian and sparkman, and fusions like flame wingman. If you ever ran a GX hero deck (although fun), you would notice that some of the fusions are pretty lacking. So I gave myself a goal: to redo the e heros and earn them a little more respect.

Anything not listed remains the same.

To avoid confusion, * = level

Elemental Hero Avian
****
1400/1400

Elemental Hero Burstinatrix
****
1700/900

Elemental Hero Bubbleman
***
During either player's turn, while you have no other cards in your hand, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is summon this way during your turn, if you control no other monsters, draw two cards.
800/1200

Elemental Hero Flame Wingman
******
Elemental Hero Avian + Elemental Hero Burstinatrix
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card destroys a monster by battle, your opponent takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's attack.
2400/1900

Elemental Hero Mariner
*****
Elemental Hero Avian + Elemental Hero Bubbleman
This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. Once per turn, you can send one Spell or Trap card from the field to the graveyard. If you do, this card can attack your opponent directly this turn. If you control no spell or trap cards, your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target.
1400/1200

Elemental Hero Mudballman
*******
Elemental Hero Clayman + Elemental Hero Bubbleman
This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. Once per turn, if a monster you control would be destroyed by battle, it is not. Any monster that this card attacks is returned to the owner's hand at the start of damage calculation.
1900/3000

Elemental Hero Necroflash (whats with "Darkbright"?)
******
Elemental Hero Necroshade + Elemental Hero Sparkman
This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. During the battle between an attacking "Elemental Hero" you control and a defense position monster with a DEF lower than the attacking monster's ATK, inflict the difference as battle damage to your opponent. When this card is removed from the field, send one card your opponent controls to the graveyard.
2000/1800

Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster
*******
Elemental Hero Burstinatrix + Elemental Hero Clayman
This card can only be special summoned by Fusion Summon. Your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target if you control another face up monster. Once per turn, you can apply one of the following effects:
-This card can attack your opponent directly while in defense position. In that case, halve this card's ATK during damage calculation.
-This card can attack while in defense position.
2000/2600

Elemental Hero Thunder Giant
******
Elemental Hero Sparkman + Elemental Hero Clayman
This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase, you can discard one card to destroy one monster on the field with an original ATK that is less than this card's ATK.
2500/1800

Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman
*******
Elemental Hero Wildheart + Elemental Hero Necroshade
This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. Once per turn, you can discard one card from your hand to destroy one card your opponent controls. If the destroyed card was a monster card, you can Special Summon one monster from your opponent's graveyard with a lower level than the destroyed monster's to your side of the field in defense position.
1900/1800

Elemental Hero Steam Healer
*****
Elemental Hero Bubbleman + Elemental Hero Burstinatrix
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Any damage you take from a battle involving this card becomes zero. When this card battles an opponent's monster, you can return it to the top of your opponent's deck and gain life points equal to that monster's ATK or DEF, whichever is higher.
1800/1600

Elemental Hero Electrum
Basically, everything is the same, except that "this card cannot be targeted"

Elemental Hero Wild Wingman
*******
Elemental Hero Avian + Elemental Hero Wildheart
This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. Once per turn, you can discard one card to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card and destroy it. During either player's turn, if your opponent does not control a Spell/Trap card, you can halve the ATK or DEF of one face up monster they control, until the end phase.
1900/2300

Elemental Hero Wildedge
********
Elemental Hero Bladedge + Elemental Hero Wildheart
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls at once. When this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate spell or trap cards until the end of the damage step.
2600/2800

Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman
*********
Elemental Hero Flame Wingman + Elemental Hero Sparkman
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. This card gains 300 ATK for every "Elemental Hero" in your graveyard. When this card destroys a monster by battle, your opponent takes damage equal to that monster's ATK. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by an opponent's Spell, Trap, or monster effect, you can remove from play one "Elemental Hero" in your graveyard to negate and destroy the card(s).
2800/2500

Alright, well I think that is all of them (didn't see anything wrong with plasma vice). Let me know if i left something out or something is too good/needs clearing up.

Gotta say, I love the buff you gave Bubbleman, but for him and Thunder Giant, was it necessary to give them spell speed 2? If TG's effect was closer to Gungnir's it wouldn't be that bad, since TG is a fusion monster that requires named materials. Mariner could use clarification, I can't tell if it's a backrow destroyer or a costly direct attacker that's way worse than Wattgiraffe. If it's the former, the text should say "Once per turn, you can send one Spell or Trap card from the field to the graveyard. If you do, this card can attack your opponent directly this turn.
