Yugioh: Children of Time [IC/ STARTED/ STILL ACCEPTING]

Atsuko sat down on the ground and remained silent for a minute, taking in what had just been said to her, before mumbling something. She then mumbled it again, though it sounded like "Heiny". Finally, she got up, her head still down and her bangs obscuring part of her face, and asked Tempus. [color=#FF2400]"Why me?"[/color] She decided to elaborate. [color=#FF2400]"I'm not some expert time traveler! I just decided to take my mom's old amulet, which allowed her to travel through space and time, out for a joyride, before I got lost! I didn't deserve this! I'm just a punk who was passing through trying to get to her home reality, so why do I have to be a Child of Time?!? I think your decision-making process is wrong, because I don't deserve this!"[/color] She stormed away from the others, still crying.

A crack appeared in the room Louise was in which could easily be felt by those outside and out walk a woman dressed in very little, [color=pink][b]Now where did I put that[/b][/color] the woman looked and saw Louise crying on the bed [color=pink][b]Honey what are you doing in my room and why are you crying?[/b][/color] The woman had a surprised look on her face and her expression seemed to change instantly after realizing what was going on in the room, if Louise looked she would be able to tell that the woman looked like her mother when she was about 20 years younger.
Nightshroud woke up from his nap after sensing Cat returning to her home, after getting up he immediately prepared to go and retrieve her, so as to not cause any more problems until he was ready..

Louise lifted her head at the sound of a voice. "Mum!" she cried, and, barely registering her appearance, leaped over to her, pulling the older woman into a hug. "Thank goodness you're safe. I thought...I thought you were gone." Tears still flowed from her face; whether it was from happiness or just that the tear glands hadn't closed yet she couldn't say, but she was just glad that her mother was safe. She stayed there in silence, just holding the other woman, knowing she was there, she was safe, she was real. "Don't ever leave again," she insisted as she finally detached herself. "Oh, and put some clothes on mother. You look ridiculous," she added, as she began to turn back into the normal Louise.

"So your a time cracker and your job was to take me out, so do it properly lets turbo duel," Lucas said as he gazed at the man. [i]Lets do this[/i] Lucas thought as he stared at the mark on his arm. "Meet you on the track your duel runner," he clicked a button on a controller which he pulled out of his pocket. This was a futuristic device. It made his duel runner appear right next to him on the roof. He then jumped on his duel runner and zoomed off the roof. Lucas then landed right on the track. [i]This will be fun[/i] he thought.

LOCATION: The High-Rise Rooftop[/b]

Having nothing better to do, at least not until his rifle was fully charged, Jovetz fetched his Duel Flyer, a helicopter-like vehicle that could allow the pilot to engage in Turbo Duels much like a Duel Runner. Placing the machine that contained his rifle somewhere where only he could find it, Jovetz flew off to the Turbo Track to find Lucas.

[color="#000080"]"Never thought you'd see a helicopter rather than a motorcycle, now did you?"[/color] Jovetz asked rhetorically as he flew into the Turbo Track, [color="#000080"]"This... is a Duel Flyer, and this'll serve as my Turbo Dueling vessel for this event. Now, it's time to duel!"[/color]

[color="#000080"]"You know the rules, challenger goes last,"[/color] Jovetz informed, [color="#000080"]"And I'll kick things off by activating Cost Down, discarding one card to lower all cards in my hand by 2. Now I activate One for One, discarding a second card to Special Summon Arsenal Bug in Attack Position, seeing it's now down to Level 1 thanks to Cost Down."[/color]

A large insectoid monster arose on Jovetz' side of the field, carrying a scimitar in one hand and a shield in the other. By reading the ATK and DEF stats alone, one would think that Arsenal Bug would be a strong monster, but since it was the only Insect-type monster on the field, its strength was cut in half due to its effect.

After her last comment Cat Hugged Louise even tighter that her daughter had her, [color=pink][b]I'm sorry dear i don't know exactly what happened but that guy works in the same business I used to before my side lost and these guys brainwashed me and gave me a kid, kid part best thing to ever happen in my life, now he unbrainwashed me and I still love you to death and I'm going to have to say I got a bitching moisturizer or something but still yes I'm not going anywhere.[/b][/color] Nightshroud could tell that Cat wasn't causing any trouble so he decided to focus on one of the other members to make sure they weren't doing anything over their heads.

(Cat's mother instincts is overriding her Sadist/Yuri ones.)

Louise returned the second hug, but then noticed something that, ten minutes previously would have had her on the verge of mental breakdown. "Wait, you used to work with that person? But I thought he did the brainwashing. You were acting like a totally different person." She pulled away and shook her head, trying to clear it. "I need to know what's going on," she admitted, "none of this makes any sense, and no-one's giving me straight answers. What's all this stuff about time travel and time guardians even mean? And what do you mean they gave you a kid?" Louise took a deep breath. Since she'd always thought time travel could only happen in fiction, whatever followed was probably going to contradict how she thought the world worked, but she had to understand.

Aku looked at Marie, "Marie why don't you go get Louise? At try to convince her to trust us...hear us out. She should be a litttle more responsive to you since you have no idea what's going on like she does." Marie looked at the earlier thirties man and sighed, "Allright I'll try to convince her. Though I'm not promising anything Aku.", and Marie headed in after Loiuse. Once she was inside she walked up the steps and easily found the other girls room. She thought about just going in but chose to knock on the door instead. "Hello? Can I come in please?", she called. Meanwhile Aku was outisde with Tempus and Atsuko running the back of his head thinking. This girl was definetly a Fudo by the way she was acting...no doubt about it. He removed his hood to reveal his Ancient Egyptain features, "Actually Tempus I have to correct you. I am a Master of Time (?), like a guide basically. I am not a Child of Time like the rest of you.", he corrected Tempus, "But anyway, my name is Akuman and I am from Ancient Egypt. The girl that walked into the house was Marie, she is a Child of Time like the two of you and Louise. As for asking to be a Child of Time.....you do not ASK but are CHOOSEN. You can whine and drag your heels all you want but you can't change the fact you are a Child of Time. You acan't change the fact that Time Crackers will continue to be after you untill you join them or die. The mark....which each Child of Time has their ownunique mark.....is proff. It works much like the Signer's Marks did. It will glow in burn when a froend or enemy is near and the worse the intensity the closer he/she is."

Cat paused for a moment to collect her thoughts, [color=pink][b]Okay let me think where to start, a long time ago some people got together myself included in order to change something in time, we were called the Time Crackers ironically, against us a group calling themselves the Time Guardians came and stopped us then they took me and erased my memory and...Oh my god they made me straight that is so gross but more on that later. Okay back to the point they erased my memory and changed my personality and sent me home, then a few years later they again changed my memory and gave me you as a baby to take care of, so we aren't related by blood but your still my daughter, now fast forward more then a decade and they've come to take you into their war, Nightshroud removed my soul and did I don't know what with my body but if I found out it is something I don't like I'll kick his ass so that he could restore me original memories along with keeping my memories of raising you, and made me look like I did back when I was a Time Cracker, Oh and these cloths aren't weird their hot.[/b][/color] She knew her daughter would have a hard time understanding this and knew that the guardians would probably be coming soon when she heard someone in the house calling out, [color=pink][b]Did you bring someone over while I was gone???[/b][/color]
Nightshroud had watched the situation and found that what was happening outside was more important, he called his second in command and told him if he was done playing to get ready for a large scale operation if the need arose.

Louise decided to absorb what her mother said before she responded. "I still say those clothes are weird, and...I really didn't need to know about the turning straight part." She paused, pushing the thoughts aside. She didn't have a problem with what people did in the bedroom, but as far as her mother went, well there were somethings than no-one wants to think about. "So what were you trying to change? It sounds kind of dangerous to mess about with time; what if you end up not born or something?"

"I didn't invite anyone, but we had a duel outside, and some other time-travelling people came along." She paused, and raised her voice. "Whoever it is out there, get out of the house. I'll be out in ten minutes, at the most."

"Anyway, you're not my birth mother? Then what happened to her? Why was I given to you?"

[color=pink][b]Sorry i just kinda blurted that out without thinking, but we actually weren't the first ones to change time, someone else changed something in the past that made a really big ripple in time itself so we wanted to change it and fix it, though apparently the people that came after us didn't get all the information and just became a pack of weirdos, and i don't have any memory of dueling you I didn't hurt you did I?[/b][/color] Even though she saw no visible damage done she know how dangerous a duel between the two sides could be and it worried her that she had dueled Louise. [color=pink][b]I don't know what happened to your biological mother for all I know she could be in the future, i have no idea why anybody would send their child back in time by them self when they could go with them but that doesn't matter, I raised you and your my daughter.[/b][/color]
Nightshroud was preparing to leave, there were a couple of times that he needed to pay attention to but he was still deciding which would be most important.

"I'm fine," Louise replied, and she was about to tell her mother about the duel, but she decided that it might be better not to. Whilst that Nightshroud person getting what was due him would be nice, she didn't want to worry her mother more that she thought she was about to.

"One of those guardian people showed up, and wants me to go with him. I didn't want to before, but now I do. I want to know why they're fighting, and I also want to find out what happened to my birth parents. Mum, I love you, and I couldn't want for a better parent, but I...I have to know. I have to find out who I am and where I came from. You don't mind, do you?"

Captain's log: Well, as expected i lost. Meh, guess the Alien's need some new blood in their deck. Next person i duel however, they are going to face my true deck. "Jade Knight this is Viper, notify Jovetz that his objective has been spotted, confirmed, and is on route towards the coordinates im sending him. Oh and can you give me a lift? the Victory Viper's in Kaibas hands at the moment, however its on auto-pilot, sending him to his daughter, Jovetz must use caution if decides to pursue." "Copy that Viper, jeez thats the 3rd xx03 you have lost in a year!" "It wasn't my fault!!!" "No, it never is, and wait till the Order hears that you lost to a girl that you tired to flirt with hahaha!" "Shut it! These channels aren't 100% private, if a Cracker hears you we are dead." "Roger, sending Blue Thunder to your location, don't fail the mission Vic, there's much more than your perfect record at stake here." "I'm well aware of the consequences of failure, for me and for possibly every timeline, Viper out."

Vic Vipers ship: "How the hell does this guy have so much information, on my daughter and other random people?!" Kaiba was
surprised that this ship moved on its own, and by the looks of the screen it was towards his daughter. There was list of names, one side Children of Time, the other Time Crackers.
All were to be either captured or killed on sight. "So this guys trying to play both sides? Isn't he a Time Cracker or whatever himself?" He needed to make a call, theres one person who would probably know all about all this. Especially this book he noticed behind the cockpit about The Order of Chronos.

Jovetz had just finished his first turn when all of a sudden he got a message. It seemed to signify that Aivea had been spotted, but it also warned that Kaiba managed to get a hold of Vic Viper's ship, which Jovetz knew could rip the fabric of time at will. Unfortunately for him, there wasn't much he could do, so he felt comprised to write a message back.

[color="#000080"]'Can't act right now,'[/color] Jovetz typed in an on-board keyboard, [color="#000080"]'My hands are full with another Child of Time at the moment, the young man tied us up in a Turbo Duel. Will engage as soon as this is over.'[/color]

LOCATION: Original Location of Vic Viper's Ship[/b]

Revenova shook his head, unsure if Kaiba even processed the threat into his mind. Turning to the pages that he must've printed out from the history archives website the whole time, he examined closely and an entry caught his eye...

KaibaCorp personnel finally manage to dissect the mysterious jet plane that arrived in the beginning of the month, only to find it laden with seemingly alien technologies. Uncertain of how to recreate these technologies, KaibaCorp President Seto Kaiba decides to recreate his coveted Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet around this particular jet instead. Hours later, a test flight is arranged for the redesigned Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet. Seto Kaiba is piloting this test flight, and has taken her daughter Aivea Kaiba, so far the world's most successful professional duelist, for a ride. How exactly this test flight will run is unknown, but from this day forth, neither person shall ever be seen again.[/i]

Another portal opened up ahead of where Revenova was standing. He stepped inside, ready to return to HQ.

LOCATION: The Dueling Grounds[/b]

Momentarily after the duel came to its conclusion, Kaiba arrived, happy to see that Aivea didn't come to harm.

[color="#800080"]"Hi Dad,"[/color] Aivea greeted, [color="#800080"]"You weren't too worried about me out there, were you?"[/color]

[color="#FF8C00"]"Well... for a second there, I kinda was,"[/color] Kaiba admitted, [color="#FF8C00"]"Look, honey, there's something you need to know. According to that ship I got here with, you're being tracked down by an organization known as the Time Crackers. Don't know why they'd want such a bland team name, but that doesn't matter now. All that matters is that I'm here to protect you from them, and I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe..."[/color]

Aivea couldn't help but break down, crying all over her father's brand new coat. Kaiba tried to comfort her, but to no avail, as all she could think about at that time was the sudden disappearance of her mother.

[color="#800080"]"Those monsters..."[/color] Aivea still emitted tears as she spoke, [color="#800080"]"They're responsible for Mom's disappearance... aren't they?"[/color]

[color="#FF8C00"]"And if they are, they're gonna pay for it,"[/color] Kaiba reassured her, [color="#FF8C00"]"Pathetic dogs like them will never stand a chance... against champions like us!"[/color]

Atsuko was sitting on a curb a few blocks over, and didn't hear Aku's lecture regarding Children of Time. She was instead crying, trying to figure out why she was chosen, and what she would have to do. Sure, she was a Fudo, and from what her mom had told her, Fudos did great things, but she didn't know if she could do it, since she stole her mom's amulet and fled her home universe. She wasn't brave. She wasn't strong. She wasn't smart. She was just...herself...and she wasn't anything special, save for the fact that her parents were. So why was this title given to her when she was probably the last person in the multiverse who deserved it?

Cat took a deep breath after hearing what her daughter had to say, [color=pink][b]Okay, but promise me a few things okay, one you'll come home when everything is done, two you think for yourself don't let other people think for you, and three you don't mind that I am going to work as a Time Cracker and that I'll be dressing this way for a while at least.[/b][/color]
Nightshroud appeared before Atsuko though this time he wasn't wearing his mask and he was wearing more casual cloths, [color=purple][b]Izumi is that you!!! Wait sorry that's impossible, she doesn't exist in this world and your a Time Guardian right... Um I don't know why your crying but I'm kinda a big shot in this universe so maybe I can help.[/b][/color] Nightshroud actually cared about what was going on here do to the fact that this girl very much reminded him and things in his own past.

"Of course I'll come back," Louise replied, "and why wouldn't I think for myself? I want to go to find out more, so that I can think for myself instead of having to rely on other people. And what kind of daughter would I be if I went time travelling and expected you to sit here and wait for me. I still don't like the clothes but I'm not going to change your mind, so..." She gave a shrug. "Thanks mum," she added, giving the other woman one last hug.

"Well, I better go make sure that girl went back outside, and get all those people off the front garden," she continued, breaking off and heading out of the room. She turned back at the doorway. "I'll see you later then."

LOCATION: Guardian of Time Headquarters[/b]

A portal opened up inside the main headquarters, where the time's most superior Guardian was located. Revenova stepped outside this portal, which close behind him as all the other portals had a habit of doing.

[color="#8B0000"]"Master, Aivea Kaiba is about to leave the era of Generation X, as proved by this document,"[/color] Revenova bore the news, holding out the printout he had earlier in a manner that implied he was to hand it over, [color="#8B0000"]"She doesn't know she's a Child of Time yet, but she's well aware that the Time Crackers are after her. However, I apologize for the lack of luck on finding her mother Kisara. The Time Crackers I interrogated didn't seem to know a thing of her disappearance."[/color]

[b]ERA: Generation X
LOCATION: KaibaCorp Air Field[/b]

Lining up his new and improved Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet, with the technology incorporated from Vic Viper's ship, Kaiba looked over a check-list of all things he was able to do in said ship. The vast majority of the boxes have been ticked, but there was only one box, assuming Kaiba hadn't missed anything, that was still empty. Beside this box was the text: Time Travel. Putting the check-list back in his pocket, Kaiba hopped inside the jet where Aivea was.

[color="#800080"]"Dad, why did you drag me out here for?"[/color] Aivea asked.

[color="#FF8C00"]"I thought you wanted to avenge your mother,"[/color] Kaiba retorted.

[color="#800080"]"Yeah, so why are we spending time testing this new jet?"[/color] Aivea asked again.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Let's face it, these so-called Time Crackers will probably be all over time,"[/color] Kaiba answered, [color="#FF8C00"]"Once we've mastered the whole time travel thing, they'll have nowhere to run!"[/color]

It wasn't long until the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet was ready for launch. Momentarily taking time to set up for take-off, Kaiba reached for the intercom ahead of him, so he could communicate with the ground crew.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Preparing to take off,"[/color] Kaiba spoke through the intercom, [color="#FF8C00"]"Runway: Clear. Fuel Gauge: Full to the brim. Destination: Domino City Park. All set to go."[/color]

"Destination?" a male-sounding voice was projected through the intercom.

[color="#FF8C00"]"I just said the destination!"[/color] Kaiba yelled back through intercom.

"He was meaning the time you'd like to travel to, sir," a female-sounding voice was now projected through the intercom.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Oh, right... errrr,"[/color] Kaiba paused as he tried to think of a good time, [color="#FF8C00"]"August 25, 2073."[/color]

[color="#800080"]"Will there [i]really[/i] be a park in Domino City by that time, Dad?"[/color] Aivea asked.

[color="#FF8C00"]"There better be,"[/color] Kaiba answered, [color="#FF8C00"]"Otherwise I'm bulldozing a few houses down!"[/color]

[color="#800080"]"Will we live in time to see it properly?"[/color] Aivea asked again.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Well I sure as hell won't!"[/color] Kaiba muttered aloud, before turning to Aivea, [color="#FF8C00"]"You... actually might be, Aivea. By that time you'll probably be an old lady, preferably with your children and grandchildren, maybe even great-grandchildren as well if you're lucky."[/color]

Finished with the conversation, Kaiba focused on taking off so he could test the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet's ability to perform time travel. It wasn't visible in the sky for long though, as it seemed to venture into a wormhole that was created by a rip in the fabric of time. The ground crew could only watch, and wait for his return.

[b]ERA: The Technological Advance
LOCATION: Skies of New Domino City[/b]

An area of the sky started to badly distort itself. Blasting out of this area of sky was a jet that happened to be in the shape of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Piloting this jet was the President of an organization called KaibaCorp, who happened to be named Seto Kaiba. In the back seat was his daughter, Aivea Kaiba, who happened to be a Child of Time.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Mwahaa, it's working!"[/color] Kaiba shouted.

[color="#800080"]"What is?"[/color] Aivea asked.

[color="#FF8C00"]"This jet!"[/color] Kaiba responded, [color="#FF8C00"]"It has the ability to rip through time and space AND the shape of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon! And now the whole world gets to bear witness to what I've created!"[/color]

Atsuko slowly turned to face the mysterious stranger who had approached her. For some reason, his presence seemed to be calming and reassuring instead of dominating and forceful, like that other guy. However, she hoped that this guy wouldn't keep called her "Izumi". She dried her tears quickly, briefly wondering how he knew she needed someone important. [color=#FF2400]"I'm not crying."[/color] She corrected, trying to sound tougher than she actually was. [color=#FF2400]"But can you help me? I just wanna go home to my Mom and my Dad, but they live in another alternate universe far, far away. Do you have a way for me to get back to my home dimension?"[/color]

Cat watched her daughter walk out of the room and prayed that she would be safe, she sat in the room for a few minutes then gathered the clothes and accessories that she wanted and and prepared to depart.
Nightshroud looked very sad when he heard what had happened to the girl, he took a deep breath and began to speak [color=purple][b]Sorry if I knew how to get out of this universe I probable would have a long time ago, but for some reason this one is a lot more disconnected from the multiverse then most. Trust me I've tried a lot of things here including taking in the power of pure darkness and even that couldn't help me, but you don't have to put up a brave front, no one does well stranded if you really need to cry then do it but if you want to hold back your tear then grind you teeth and move forward... sorry if I'm sounding preached the name is Ni.. [/color][color=red]Ace[/color] [color=purple]and you are?[/b][/color] He was surprised he'd actually told the girl his real name which is something he hadn't done even with his own allies but this girl reminded him of himself when he first got here the main difference is instead of crying he got angry and tried doing any crazy thing he could in order to get out.

[color="#FF8C00"]"There's only one way to find out,"[/color] Kaiba told her, [color="#FF8C00"]"New Destination: Domino City Park, March 13, 2113."[/color]

Performing a massive U-Turn, Kaiba aimed the jet towards the distorted piece of sky in which they arrived in the first place. The jet had vanished once again into the sky as it travelled further into the future.

LOCATION: Kaiba's Proposed Landing Spot[/b]

It wasn't until the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet arrived at this time that it caused an alarm to blare and started spitting out warnings of a low fuel gauge. Travelling to two different time zones in one flight seemed to take a massive toll on its fuel tank. Kaiba immediately set to work on finding an airfield, but had no such luck finding one in the immediate area.

[color="#FF8C00"]"How dare they remove the airfield when we most need it?!"[/color] Kaiba scowled, [color="#FF8C00"]"Now I'm really gonna have to take some houses down! Grrr, this is impossible! Where the hell are we supposed to land in the meantime?!"[/color]

Frustrated about this, Kaiba scouted the area vigorously for a clear section of land. At this stage, he didn't care whether it was road, grass or rooftop, but he needed to land the jet somewhere, lest both he and Aivea come crashing down to the ground and die in a likely-resulting explosion, if not the crash itself.

[color="#800080"]"Hey, there's a spot,"[/color] Aivea pointed to an empty intersection, unaware that it was usually one of the busiest.

[color="#FF8C00"]"That'll have to do!"[/color] Kaiba guided the jet into the intersection and had it start descending vertically. It was only a matter of time before it touched down. Both occupants exited the jet, but not before Kaiba switched everything off.

[color="#800080"]"Where do we go now, Dad?"[/color] Aivea asked.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Exploring,"[/color] Kaiba answered, [color="#FF8C00"]"We need to find some jet fuel before we take the jet again, so we might as well travel by foot,"[/color]

Kaiba then set the alarm on the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet via remote, signifying that it wasn't going anywhere, before the two looked around in the New Domino City, keeping vigilant on any Time Cracker activity.

Captians log:[color="#FF8C00"][/color] "Viper this is Jade Knight, you and Butai have a new objective: Atsuko Fudo, she is currently alone in the coordinates posted on screen." Aiya continued chewing her bottom lip nervously, staring at the girl in front of her, Cassandra, and not really sure what to say next. Barely a few hours ago she'd been living a perfectly normal, if uneventful, life with her parents when suddenly a strange boy came from nowhere who apparently knew her and took her far into the future which was apparently where she really came from and that she was some sort of 'child of time' or whatever it was that was supposed to stop a group of temporal terrorists. Her head hurt just thinking about it.

However, despite how ludicrus it was, Aiya had actually believed him. Even more so, even if she didn't remember this house, this time or even the girl in front of her who was apparently her sister, she all recognized them somehow.
