Yugioh: Children of Time [IC/ STARTED/ STILL ACCEPTING]

"Go. The time is now. Find the other children. Bring them here. Make haste!" An old man lifted his finger, pointing at his two children in turn. "Tempus.... Astro. You I- we, depend on you two to bring every single one of the Children of Time to the Temple. I cannot guarantee that the so called 'Time Crackers' will not be there, but you know what to do. Duel. I believe in both of you. You have made me proud and today, is the first step. Bring them here. So go. Go now!"
Two teenagers nodded at their elderly father.
"Yes father. Trust me, if any Time Crackers are unlucky enough to be there, then they will feel the full power of the Tech Genus! I'll be back soon." One said, already running towards his hi-tech duel runner. It lifted off the ground and shot a thin beam of blue light into thin air. Then, the beam expanded, creating a swirling blue portal. "This should take me straight to the Exceeding Era, and probably right in front of one of the Children." He revved the engine and rode straight into the portal, back into the past.
The second calmly lifted his duel disk and like his brother created a portal. Without a second thought, he stepped through the portal into the era of Yusei. He disappeared without a word. He knew he'd appear next to a child of time, or maybe a Time Cracker. Whoever it was, he'd be ready.

(You can begin here. If you are from one of the times that Astro or Tempus are going to, just post about them appearing ;) )

Louise Barnes was annoyed.

The guys at duel academy were being immature again. She hadn't learnt turbo dueling as soon as possible, because she hadn't decided she was even going to duel professionally at that point, but apparently because she hadn't been straining at the bit to get on a runner as soon as she could she wasn't ever going to get anywhere. "Idiots," she muttered, rounding a corner outside her house. A few steps later, as she reached into her pocket for her keys, her phone slipped out. She stopped, and stooped down to pick it up. As soon as her attention returned to the street, however, there was a teenager stood in front of her, in the middle of the road, too far to have come out from somewhere, and there was no-one else around. In fact it seemed as though he'd popped right out of thin air - only that was impossible and stupid. Like that mark on her ar- no, she wouldn't think about that. She turned to enter her house.

Aiya checked her watch as she wandered through town, noting that it was getting quite late and her parents where expecting her home soon. She bit her lip nervously and looked about her. She was just a few feet away from the card shop she usually visited on her way home, it wasn't that long of a walk back to her house so she figured she could afford to pop in for a while before going home. She stepped through the door and looked around keenly, noticing an ornate black duel disk on display in a cabinet.

"Like I can even afford that," she muttered.

Noting her interest, a goup of people sitting at a table with their own cards out waved at her.

"Hey, you play too? Want a game?" They asked eagerly.

Aiya looked over at them in surprise, hesitated, then shook her head.

"N-no thanks...I'd just end up losing," she said, as casually as she could.

With a nervous grin she backed out of the shop again and continued down the street, heaving a slightly depressed sigh as she walked.

"Way to go," she muttered "You're never going to improve with that attitude."

She carried on home in much the same state of mind, silently arguing with herself about things she was never going to resolve. It wasn't until she was almost home when she noticed something ahead of her, she assumed it was just a guy crossing the street but his appearance was...Odd. He certainly didn't wear any kind of fashion she ever saw, and even if it was the boy still seemed strangely out of place, although she couldn't quite place why. Without thinking she stopped walking and just stared at the boy, a look of both confusion and curiosity across her face.

((Yeah, guy doesn't have an app yet so I've no idea what he looks like >< ))

"You still think you can beat me?" Aivea Kaiba asked her opponent mockingly, "Forget it, there's nothing you can possibly do."

"Please, I already have 2 Dark Armed Dragons, 3 Rare Metal Dragons and a helluva lotta traps!" Aivea's opponent spat back.

"Not with this card you don't," Aivea responded, "Heavy Storm, activate,"

A violent gust of wind blasted its way underneath the five cards that were visible in the duelist's back row, sucking them into a vortex where they would appear to be shredded to pieces.

"I end with 3 face-downs," Aivea declared, "Now draw your last pathetic card so I can end this foolish charade."

"You're the one that's foolish!" the duelist retorted, "Leaving yourself wide open for an attack..."

"I activate my trap cards," Aivea intervened, "First, I activate Rising Energy. This card increases the Attack Points of one of your Dark Armed Dragons by 1500 points."

Dark Armed Dragon's ATK: 2800 --> 4300

"Normally, that would be foolish," Aivea explained, "But that's where Ring of Destruction comes in, destroying the Dark Armed Dragon and deal damage to the both of us equal to its Attack. Finally, Barrel Behind the Door reflects any effect damage that I'd suffer back to you."

"WHAT??!!" The duelist could only look in horror as one of his monsters exploded, the duelist taking full brunt of the explosion whilst Aivea was protected by a stone slab. The stone slab then opened up, revealing a giant pistol-shaped cannon that blasted the duelist into submission once and for all.

CAPTAIN'S LOG: After ariving in the era of....... ok i believe i have no idea, the Order didn't exactly let me know which

era was which, however the locals looked at me strangely. Weird, its as if they never saw a custom Triple Ion Engine personal starship rip

a wormhole through the fabric of time before. I landed on a.. wait who the hell makes a landing dock in a Blue Eyes White Dragon

design?! Aw crap dont tell me they still only have planes do they? whatever im losing track, i come across a duel, noting special really

seeing as how a guy just lost badly due to Rising Energy and Ring of Destruction. Victory Viper's sensors indicate one of my targets is

the winner of said duel, a girl whos quite easy on the eyes. Shame that such a beauty has to be captured and possibly killed in order to

save the very essence of time itself. i walk by, confidence oozing out of every step i take, duel disk at the ready, Project A in my pocket.

5D's Era

Astro flew through the portal, which then opened up in the middle of an empty road. The street was quiet and empty, except a single girl who was staring at him curiously. He saw a little light under her skin, and quickly, his mark, a synchro ring around a constellation began to glow brightly, reacting with the girls presence. He got off his duel runner and walked over to the girl. "Hey. The name is Astro Stellar. You should probably come with me before a cracker follows-" Astro shook his head, he'd explain that later, best not worry her. He held out his hand, the mark of time showing clearly, even under a navy blue leather jacket.

New Future:

"Hey! Louise, that's your name if I'm right! We need to talk urgently!"
Tempus ran to catch up with a girl who was heading towards her house. He whipped his hair out of his face and caught up with Louise. He smiled quickly, but the returnd to his serious expression. "My name's Tempus, Tempus Hourus. Do you mind if I come in? We need to talk you and I. Trust me, this cannot wait, and will change your life forever. Please, this is important."
He looked into the girls eyes, and his complex looking mark of time glowed extremely brightly. One reason was it was reacting with the presence of Louise, the second reason was because Astro had found another child.
"So? May we speak?"

New Future:

Louise turned back towards the street at the sound of footsteps behind her, as well as someone calling her by name. The person from before was coming up to her, and before she could even ask who he was or why he was approaching her house, he introduced himself as "Tempus Hourus" and claimed he had to tell her something important.

She had no idea how to react. At no point had anyone ever given her a lessen in what to do if some guy who knows who you are comes up and claims to have life-changing news. Her mind leapt to 'stalker', but she told that part of her brain to give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment. Still, she wasn't feeling charitable this evening.

"Whatever you say can't be that important, because important messages aren't delivered by word of mouth. All I want to know is how you knew my name. We can talk here," she told him, folding her arms and glaring at him. "This better be good."

Aiya gave a start when the mysterious boy suddenly made his way over to her and she realized she had been staring. For a moment she thought the boy was going to hassle her for it and flinched as he approached, however it turned out to be quite the opposite as he introduced himself as 'Astro Stellar' and holding out his hand. As he did so Aiya noticed a strange blue glow coming from under the sleeve at the same time she felt a slight tingle in her own arm. Looking down she realized with shock that her own arm had a similar blue glow, revealed to be in the form of a cartoon wing once she rolled her glove up to look at it. She looked between the mark and the boy for a moment or two, her mouth agape and completely lost for words.

As strange as it was though, Aiya felt oddly calm and stranger yet that this mysterious boy who had practically come out of nowhere could be trusted, in fact Aiya felt as if she should probably do what he said.

"Err..." She hesitated, still not fully understanding what was going on "Well...Alright but...I err....N-nevermind." She trailed off, biting her lip nervously.

Slightly reluctantly she held out her own hand to take the boys, silently wondering why she was even agreeing to it in the first place.

Lazid looked at his opponents with a smile. He was at a corner of a street which was packed with people. He was in a three on one duel. "GO! Koa'ki Meiru Maximus!" Finish all of them!" An explosion erupted from the place at which the duel was taking place. The three opponents lay motionless on the ground. Yazid raises his clenched fist slowly into the air, and everyone started to chant his name...

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"So you're Yazid, huh?" a spectator pushed his way through to the front of the crowd. "My name is Rade. Let's duel!" Yazid simply nodded his head.

"I Summon Genex Ally Duradark in Attack Mode! I will Set one card and End my turn." said the adolescent named Raze...

A little while after Tempus starter talking to Louise her mom walked up to her, Dear I need you to come home with me right now. Louise could tell something was wrong with her mom, her motions were unnatural it was much blockier then a normal person moved and her expression was blank with her eyes not showing a hint of life in then and her breath was much slower then it normally would be, she for some strange reason also had a black duel disk on her arm and their seemed to be some kind of tattoo poking out from under her shirt up to her neck.

ERA: Generation X

Aivea shook her head at her previous opponent. She didn't even use a single monster to wipe out his Life Points. Instead, she managed to prove that not even a full field of strong monsters and traps could save one from defeat. She then turned her attention to another man who just happened to waltz in the scene.

"A real duelist... you?" Aivea scoffed at the man, "In case you haven't realized, I'm the number one champion around these parts, and when I say these parts, I mean the entire world."

Just then, a small black quail hovered over Aivea, landing on her shoulder.

"What makes you think you can...?" Before Aivea could finish this question, she saw a flashback of her mother, rushing over to protect her from something neither of them saw before disappearing into then air, before snapping back into reality, "...who are you?"

ERA: The Third Dark Times

"I summon Earthbound Immortal Uru in Attack Position!" Revenova summoned a giant spider in the middle of the arena. Normally it would suck up the souls of ANYONE in range, but Revenova telepathically suggested it focus on the group of so-called Signers next to his opponent. Their Signer marks glowed, but for an unknown reason, even they were sucked up by the oversized insect.

"As I thought," Revenova deduced, "Only the soul of a true Signer could resist being warped inside an Earthbound Immortal. You must be the Time Crackers I'm after,"

"No... th-th-th-that's impossible," Revenova's opponent stuttered, "We're exposed... That's you became a D-D-D-Dark Signer, isn't it?"

"No, it's why I became a Guardian of Time," Revenova answered, "For your information, I already was a Dark Signer. In truth I was one of the first. Now... where's Kisara Kaiba?"

"Uh, I don't know, I n-n-n-never heard of her," the Time Cracker stuttered.

"You lie," Revenova spat, "Very well, if you won't tell me, I'll just have to extract the answer from your soul. Uru! Finish off his Life Points with Hell Thread."

Uru shot a blast of thread that skewered the Time Cracker's skull. It then absorbed his soul before allowing his body to limp in a dead heap. There was nothing there that could stop it.

Time Cracker's LP: 3000 --> 0

"Hmm, turns out he doesn't know where Kisara is after all," Revenova spoke to himself, "Now how am I supposed to avenge her sacrifice, I wonder?"

CAPTAINS LOG: She kinda spaced out on me for a few, something to do with the bird I believe. I'll send Project A after it, it's not as uncontrollable as my father made it out to be, plus it'll find me eventually. Duel disk at the ready, I put my father-inspired deck into place, my Life Point counter springing to life. "Names Viper, Vic Viper beautiful. And I'm afraid I need you to come with me, yes I know it's abit sudden for a first date but hey, you ever been on a custom triple-ion engine personal starship? There's room for 2." The wink was abit much, but I blame the Order's acting instructor. "Mind if I go first? It's just my style." Drawing my sixth card I smirk, not the ideal hand, but I've certainly had worse and won. "I put a face down monster and play the Continuous Spell A-Cell Breeding Device! Each of my Standby Phases, one of your face up monsters gets an A counter. I'll put two face down cards and that's it for introductions." Who says a bad guy has to act bad, I can rock the good bad guy thing no problem.

ERA: The Third Dark Times

Revenova moved on, stepping through a portal that had opened up in the middle of nowhere. He was no longer needed in this era, for his mission of destroying the Signer-disguised Time Crackers was complete.

ERA: The Technological Advance

A second portal opened up, at a decent height above the rooftop of a high-rise building, presumably of the likes of a casino. Revenova landed on this building, and proceeded to scout the surrounding area. The scenery in this era was much more lively than that of the Third Dark Times, and civilization seemed much happier. But Revenova didn't have the time to observe for long. He had to find Kisara Kaiba, or even Seto or Aivea, before it was too late. However, being in the wrong era and suspecting it in the back of his mind didn't help his cause.

ERA: Generation X

Vic Viper huh? He didn't seem familiar in the slightest, despite the fact that he just gave out WAY too much information. But Aivea was none too happy when Vic suggested she'd have to come with him... and then try to make it out as a first date.

"I'm not going anywhere with such a creep as yourself," Aivea spat, "DRAW!! And I'll start by activating Trade-In, discarding my Blue-Eyes White Dragon to draw to cards. I then set 1 card in Defense Mode and 3 cards face-down. Your move."

A total of 4 face-down cards, one horizontal, could be seen in Aivea's side of the field.

CAPTAINS LOG: the fact that I can act creepy and over the top so well scares the hell out of me, and I'm not sure if I can blame the Order for that one fully. Wanted to slap myself for forgetting who's daughter she is, and what she can potentially be capable of with a Blue-Eyes. This duel is going to be difficult if I dont start getting A-counters ready to go. "I summon Alien Warrior in Attack mode!" (Level 4/Light/Reptile/1800ATK/1000DEF) Then I activate the continuous Spell Card Code A-Ancient Ruins! Now whenever a face up Alien is destroyed this card gets an A-counter. And if I remove 2 I can special summon an Alien from the grave. Now I'll activate one of my set cards, Offering to the Snake Diety! By tributing a reptile, in this case Alien Warrior, I can destroy 2 cards on your field, and I'll pick both the face down spell or trap on the left and your face down monster!" Then I will use Viper's Rebirth to bring back my Alien Warrior until the end phase. Then I'll activate another A Cell Breeding Device. Turn End, and since Alien Warrior is destroyed at my end phase Code A gets an A counter. Your move.

"Mother, this is our house," she replied, motioning to the building behind her. "I don't need to go home, I'm already there. I'll be in in a min...ute," her voice trailing off as she noticed there was something wrong with the older woman. Her movements were clunky, and her expression blank, and there was a strange mark on her neck. Coupled with the fact that she failed to recognise her own house clued in Louise that something was wrong. "Mum?" she asked, no longer as confident. Her eyes fell on Tempus, the front of who's clothes she grabbed. "Do you have something to do with this?" she demanded.

Tempus looked concerningly at the mother of Louise. He layed a hand on his duel disk, still looking at the woman. Tempus then stepped forward towards her. "You're no Time Cracker, but you're being controlled, aren't you? If that's the case, someone will have to duel you. So who are you really? Show yourself in the name of the guardians and duel!"
His duel disk activated in a flash. "I'll make this quick, there's other children of time I need to find."
'I just hope he duels me. Once an opponent is selected by a time cracker, there's no backing down..... so just hope he or she duels me instead of Louise..."

The New Future

Lucas Walsh stood on his duel runner staring into the distance. He was a Child of Time, he had had the dream. He knows he can time travel and here is where he ended up, back in his own time. His deck was built of cards from all over time, he loved it. He had exceeds, synchros, contact fusions, fusions, rituals and tribute monsters. He knew events which happened years ago in the time of the Egyptians to the events of the future like the Exceed Era. Though this was his time, to use his deck for good

ERA: The Technological Advance

Heading inside the casino through the rooftop entrance, Revenova wandered around the hallways looking for an elevator. His plan of attack: head down to the ground floor and make his way to the staff area where he would, hopefully, get his hands on some of the computers in which, assuming he could gain access to the internet, he could search for the Kaiba family history records. This way, he could locate the era in which they would be in existence.

ERA: Generation X

"Big mistake," Aivea retorted, "I gain a Blue-Eyes White Dragon any time The White Stone of Legend hits the Graveyard, and since you destroyed Dark Coffin, you either have to discard 1 card or destroy your own face-down monster. Name your poison,"

Aivea already seemed to work out Vic Viper's strategy. It looked as though he was relying on those A-Counters to weaken her monsters as they did combat with his own Alien monsters. And all the while, she remained mostly unpredictable. At this rate, it was only a matter of time before Aivea would be rendered victorious.

CAPTAINS LOG: "I discard my Alien Kid." From an outsiders point of view, things might be looking grim for me already however an extra Alien in the grave is just what I need. I've got 3 continuous spells in play and it's the next draw, could possibly change the tide of battle in my opinion. Seeing as I'm not sure exactly what era im in, this girl nay have never heard of synchro summoning. Then again she is kaibas daughter, odds are she's got some dragon synchros of her own. Time to give her a (possible) taste of the future as soon as my turn comes around. In the meantime, I pray that she doesn't get her Blue eyes to the field yet, with a powerhouse Iike that, things will only look up for her unless I get what I need.

Yazid looked unsatisfied with his opponent's move. "is that all?" he said in a soothing voice. "I am the champ in this town, and I will not lose to just that!" he exclaimed. "I Summon XX-Saber Boggart Knight, in attack position!"

"That's hardly possible! Just a minute ago you were using a Koa'ki Meiru Deck, and I had a plan to beat it, too!"

Yazid grinned. "I have many decks. Many more than you even thought existed... Now, to continue my turn, I can Special Summon X-Saber Airbellum thanks to Boggart. Then, since I have two X-Sabers, I can Special Summon XX-Saber Gottoms!" As a Beast-like Warrior and a heavily armored warrior disappeared, a giant, muscular warrior in enormous armor rose up out of the ground. "To finish you off, I will activate the Field Spell, Saber Vault! This increases the ATK of my Boggart Knight by 400, and my Gottoms by 900! Now Boggart Knight, attack Duradark!

The machine boy exploded. "Now, it has been relatively enjoyable dueling with you, but all good things must come to an end. Go, XX-Saber Gottoms, attack Rade directly, wiping out all of his Life Points!!" The warrior did what it was commanded to, and Rade went flying backwards, all his his Life Points gone.

Nightshrouds seemed to appear out of nowhere behind Louise mother, it could be noted that he didn't have a duel disk on as he took a card out of his pocket, Unfortunately I left my duel disk at home today so I can't duel but luckily my friend friend here does have a duel disk. Unfortunately she only wants to duel her daughter now and the stakes are rather high, you see I like to play with no win situations so if mother dearest loses then her body will be broken apart and then she'll die and if little Louis loses then she'll have to become mine in both body and spirit. Of course their isn't a real choice in the matter seeing as if you refuse I'll just tear your moms soul to pieces and no matter how much time changing you do a person can't function properly with a damaged soul. He had gotten the girl in his ultimate move, he liked to call it his cardless combo because no matter what the girl does she is still going to have to duel her mother or fall into the DARKNESS of her own heart and become completely useless to the guardians.

Louise froze, her whirring mind having unhooked itself from her body so as not to do something stupid. She rapidly came to the conclusion that she didn't have the slightest clue what was going on, and as someone who liked to be in control it was this realisation more than anything else that scared her. "OK then, both of you, start talking. NOW. Who are you two, what are you doing here, and what's happened to my mother? Whatever little game the two of you nutters are playing, leave us out of it. Come on, I'm waiting," she added before even giving either of the boys a chance to speak. She continued to glare at them, her eyes narrowing.

Sigh, Here's how it goes, you and him are Time Guardians and I am a Time Cracker, my side wants to take over time which means I will have control of all destinies, the Time Guardians don't want that to happen so now I'm making you duel your mom so that I can force you to submit to my will, because if you don't then she dies. Oh and everything has to be settled with Duel Monsters so get ready because your mom is going to start the duel, and if you refuse then I'll tare her soul apart and no matter what you do you will never be able to save her. Pretty much duel your mom, lose, then come with me cause I'm smarter then your side.

Tempus looked sad, but as soon as the mother of Louise activated her duel disk, he stepped towards Louise herself. He spoke so only she could hear him.
"Trust me. I'm on your side. You're not even from this time period, but from the future. Search your mind. You've seen me before, when I delivered the letter two years ago. It's in your conscious, find it. For now, take this card. It may be the only way to save your mother. Now you must duel. But put it in your deck with this other card."
Tempus held out two cards. One was very much like a tuner monster, but stated it was a 'timer'. The other was an array of colours. The name, picture, effect and stats were blank. There was only 1 word, which was 'Tempus' and also 8 clocks on the left of the card, instead of a level.
"Put the blank tempus in your extra deck. You DO know how to summon it, just believe. It will reveal itself during the duel. Good luck."

Wait a minute. My mother doesn't even play duel monsters. Why Louise though that was significant was beyond her, but it seemed she would have to battle. If she refused, he mother was gone. If she won her mother was gone, but if she lost she had to join him and his quest to take over time - right, he was insane, and this thing had to be some kind of prank, and since this guy had given her some odd parody of a tuner and a blank card, he was probably in on it. Still, she added them, but also slipped one more card, which by chance she'd just gotten that day, into her deck as she got ready for the duel.

She looked at her hand. There were some good options, but this person - it was not her mother she was facing - had made a good start. First on the list; Venus she though, picking out a card. "I'll start with One for One," she declared, dropping another card into her grave, "and Summon Copy Plant." The small mass of thick material appeared on the field. "Next I summon Botanical Girl from my hand as well." A girl, who seemed to be composed of plant material aside from her face joined the little plant, which suddenly took on her outline. "Copy plant can duplicate the level of any Plant-type monster on the field, which allows me to do this." The monsters vanished, forming into stars and rings. "Lost flowers, blooming in the sun of the glade, reveal your strength." The stars flooded the rings in light. "Synchro Summon!" A slim figure, in a two-tone green outfit and with vines on it's arms, emerged. "Bloom! Splendid Rose!" (ATK 2200>1700).

"Now, before we go any further, I can use Botanical Girl's effect, and add Lord Poison to my hand. Moving on, I'll active Rose's effect, and take Copy Plant out of the graveyard to halve the attack of one of your monsters for this turn. Let's see how your Splendid Venus likes her own trick used against her." Vines shot from the plant-woman and ensnared the fairy (ATK 2800>1400). "Now, Splendid Rose, attack his monster." The woman leaped into the sky, driving at her foe in a spinning kick."

(if no response)

I'll place this face down and end my turn. For now, just keeping things going will be enough, she though, until I can work out what to do.
