Final Attack Orders [Anime Version]

Recommended Posts

So I was re watching the original Yugioh series, and I came to the episodes where Kaiba faces Yugi in the semi finals of Battle City. Kaiba uses this card

In the TCG, not that useful. However, in the Anime, it had a secondary effect:

"As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all face-up monsters on the field are changed to Attack Position and cannot change their Battle Position. Upon activation, both players choose 3 cards in their respective Decks. All cards that were not selected are sent to their respective Graveyards and the 3 chosen cards are returned to their respective Deck Zones in any order".

How could something like this impact the game? I think it would be interesting to see the choices players would make based on what was already in their hand, graveyard, and field. It would also force the player to analyze every aspect of their opponents field and what strategies they might be coming up and how to counter them to ensure game.

That's a broken one.
-Instant win with Card Destruction and the like.
-Gets all your Graveyard effects like Wulf and Dandylion as well as the set-up for lots of plays.
-Makes your strategy consistent because you choose what you keep in your Deck and in what order you want to draw it during the next 3 turns of the game.
-If no one alters the size of their Decks afterwards, you will win if you activate it during your turn.

Funny how, if Dandy gets dumped by this, the duel is a draw. Unless you choose something with 3 attacks or a Nuke effect, but... What does that and isnt a Nomi or Semi-nomi?

This.

It would really centralize the game if you could be playing well and suddenly have 3 turns left until you lose. It'd be just about the only deck worth playing, because all other decks are horribly crippled once it gets out it's one move.
