Assembling the Cards of Armageddon [LOCK]

"Unusual," Sam commented, "My deck is based around the Jurrac monsters - it uses the effects of a few monsters to search out the ones I need from the deck, and then I can bring out one of a few boss monsters to finish things off- are you all right?" she asked the girl who had just boarded the helicopter and slumped to the floor. She reached forward and caught the other girl. "Are you OK, miss?" she asked again, moving the girl to the seat alongside her, "we're taking off soon, so you'll need to get strapped in." Indeed, the rotor blades on the helicopter were already starting to turn, the pilot preparing to take off.

[color="#800080"]"I uh... tripped on the frame,"[/color] Miqea answered hesitantly, trying to cover up for her stumble. She then got up and strapped in, before falling back asleep, this time on the shoulder of the boy... girl? It was hard to tell what gender this person whose shoulder Miqea had fell asleep on was. The fact that the person was wearing men's clothing didn't help.

[color="#800080"]"You don't mind if I sleep on your shoulder, do you?"[/color] Miqea asked groggily, still half-asleep, [color="#800080"]"I'm just so tired right now, and I wanna go home,"[/color]

"It's fine," Sam replied, adjusting her arm as she strapped herself back into her own seat. The helicopter lifted off the ground and began to climb into the air, turning as it ascended to head out towards the US. Sam, meanwhile, was regarding the girl settled on her shoulder. [i]Home?[/i] she wondered. Unless she lived in New York, this might not be a good flight for getting home, but if she did live in North America it's at least be a start. [i]Oh well, she is tired, and thinking about it, she was the one who was starving when she reached arrived. Maybe after she wakes up she'll have a better idea of what she wants to do.[/i] Sam turned to look out of the window, at the large house falling away below. So much for her first big tournament - although this was even bigger.

'Well, its time.' Terry said to Jace as Mia and Track flew off towards the north pole. He asked Jace 'I hope for their sake they've got some sort of warmth...as for us in Tanzania, we wont be as unfortunate.' The Pilot looked back ashe saw no-one else was coming, so he closed the doors and said "This is KaibaCopter 02 taking lift off, we'll be heading out towards Tanzania, please ensure your seat belts are fastened and enjoy the views.'' through the PA. 'Well, any view is better than the stupid mansion...' Terry thought to himself.

Meanwhile in the North Pole...
Death head reached the most northern point. '...' he drew out a bony sword and thrusted it at the ground. Suddenly an enormous Stone Castle grew and rose from the ice. Magma poured from channels above, causing the ice below to melt and turn into steam. '...' Death got back on his steed and rode into his castle.

The helicopter had began to take off. The helicopter was soon in the air, making its way towards the north pole wher him and Mia where to go and face the horseman named Death. As they headed off Track was sitting o the seat on the seat opposite Mia. He looked over at her. " When are we going to get there. I just cant wait to get the chance to show what ive got." Track made sure that his seat belt was tight on him so he wouldnt fall out of his seat or anything. He looked around the helicopter, and sighed in boredom, then looked back at Mia. " Hey, are we there yet." Track put his hands behind his hand and started to relax in his seat. " Hey tell me when were there cause im probably not gonna be able to tell. Actually when it gets pretty cold then ill know that were there, but still rermind me."

[i]I can't believe I'm stuck with such a child...[/i] Mia thought to herself and than Trak said something about showing off what he has, to this Mia smirked and reach to the right of her and pulled down a tray table that'd sit in between them so they could both use it universally. "Why wait till we get there, let's see what you've got right now." Mia said, already removing her deck from her duel disk, shuffling it, and placing it on the table. "Can't remember the last time I didn't use a duel disk to duel..." Mia said and than waited for Trak to respond.

As the Helicopter began to take off, Dex tried to get some sleep. There wouldn't be much else to do until he got to China, and even then he wasn't sure what he could do. [i]"First thing's first, I have to find Pestilence. Shouldn't be too hard, just follow the disease. I need to at least be able to tell Jace and terry where he is when they get here, and at best help out."[/i] The Helicopters split in different directions, all taking them their separate ways. [i]"I hadn't even met these people until a few hours ago, so why does it feel weird splitting up. I might not see some of them again, I don't even think I knew all of their names."[/i] Dex sighed, he was feeling lonely as the Chopper took off, and the pilot's quick greeting did nothing to cheer him up. [i]"Just guess it's best to wait and see what happens...."[/i]

Jace's eyes looked out the window as the choppers began to veer off into their own courses. In his stomach, a twisting started happening, a sort of uneasy feeling he had way back when he first started learning how to play those many years ago. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a deck, though his Blue-Eyes deck was still in the duel disk on his arm. His thumb traced the rather worn out pictures on his old cards. Why he carried this deck on him, when it was nowhere near Tournament status was beyond him. Maybe it was sentimental value, or maybe because it reminded him of a simpler time, who knows. It was a few moments before he felt the eyes of someone on him and he looked up, noticing Terry Staring at him.

Track then saw Mia take out her deck and place it on the table which she had taken out for them to comense the duel. Mia had said she couldnt remember the last time she had dueled without a duel disk. " Well ive pretty much been using a duel disk my whole life, but i dont mind using a table." Track got out his deck from his pocket and began to shuffle it. He then placed the deck on the table, and drew five cards. He looked at Mia. " Well, i guess im just gonna go first." Track drew one card making it six cards in his hand. " Well first i summon my Mehanism Magician in attack position. Then i place two face downs and end my turn." Track looked at Mia and waited for her to take her turn.

"Alright than, sounds good." Mia said than drew her hand and than one extra card to signify her Draw Phase. "Let's deal, first I'll activate my Spell Absorption, so now I get a cool 500 for each Spell Card I activate." She said as she set her card. "Next I have this little beauty of a card. It's called Meteor of Destruction and it'll take about 1/4 of your Life Points with a 1000 point attack!" She said and placed the card on the field, allowing Track to absorb the full blow of damage.

if successful Track: 4000-1000=3000, Mia 4000+500=4500

"Next, I'll play one of my personal favorites, it's a card called Ante. Here's how it works, we both pick a card from our hand and show each other it, whoever has the most stars on their card wins and they place their card safely back in their hand. However, if you lose this little gamble you lose 1000 Life Points AND your card goes to grave; magic and trap cards are 0 starts by the way. I have in my hand Lava Golem, and that's 8 stars!" Mia explained, playing her card than placing it in the graveyard. "Don't forget my extra 500 I get!"

If Successful Track: 3000-1000=2000
If not so Successful Mia: 5000-1000=4000

"Next, I can't have myself wide open so, Scapegoat, protect my points! And another 500 for me!" Mia said, four sheep tokens appearing on the field, also having her Life Points be boosted by another 500. "I'll set one face down card and defer to you."

Track took 2000 points of life points, and saw that Mia had gained 1500 life points. Track looked at her. " Wow, your pretty good. Im surprised your not some pro." Track looked at his deck and drew one card. He looked at his hand. " First i activate the spell card double summon. This means that i can normal summon twice this turn. So im gonna start by summoning my Caller Mechanism, and my Mechanism Warrior.Now i activate the spell cards for parts which allows me to draw the same amount of cards as the amount of Mechanism monsters on the field. Which means i draw 3 cards. Next i activate my Caller Mechanisms effect which means i can discard one card to special summon another Mechanism monster like my Clock Mechanism in attack mode. Next its time for an attack. All four of my monsters will take down one of your scapegoats." All four of the Mechanism monsters launched an attack on a different scapegoat.

Mia smiled as the took the cards she was using as sheep tokens and put them in her grave. "Don't forget Trak, you just gave me a grand." She said, her life points going to 6500. "I draw." She said, picking a card from her deck than adding it her hand. "I've decided that I'll send your Mechanism Magician and Mechanism Warrior to the grave to Special Summon my Lava Golem on your side of the field in Defense Position. Now, for each one of your stand-by phases you'll lose 1000 Life Points. I think that'll do it for me." She said, folding her arms.

Track drew one card. " Okay i draw." Track looked at his hand and thought to himself. " Ive gotta do something quick if i wanna win this duel." Track looked at his field. " Alright i activate my Clock Mechanisms effect. Once per turn i can place one Mech counter on it. And for every Mech counter on My Clock Mechanism it gains 500 atack. Now ill activate my Caller Mechanisms effect. So i discard one card to special summon my Attachment Mechanism. You see the card i discarded was my booster Mechanism which means all Mechanism Monsters on my side of the field gain 1000 attack when hes discarded. Also my Attachment Mechanisms effect allows me to equip it to one of my Mechanism Monsters giving them an extra 1000 attack point boost. So i equip it to my Caller Mechanism. Now my two monsters will strike you directly."

Mia smiled as Trak had amade the move for an attack. "I'm afraid I can't honor your request of letting you win this duel." Mia said, reaching for her set spell/trap card. "I reveal this trap, Dimension Wall. Now, the battle damage I would have taken from your Caller Mechanism is deducted from your Life Points instead Trak." Mia explained, with a smirk on her face.

Track saw that Mia had activated her face down which was Dimension wall. Track smiled as she activated it. " Just what i was waiting for. Unless youve forgotten ive still got my two face downs. And one of them is a little card which ive been saving." Track flipped over one of his face downs. " Its called trap stun. It stops all the effects of all other trap cards for this turn. So sorry but your Dimension walls effect wont do anything at all." Track smiled and carried on with his attack. " Unless youve got anything else to do then my Caller Mechanism is about to launch a direct attack."

"Well than, seems as if I've been out trapped has it, carry on." She said, taking both attacks and going down to 1500 hundred Life Pints, she than drew a card to begin her turn. "I'll set myself one face down card and a monster in face-down defense position. "That'll be all for now." Mia said, passing the duel back to Trak, still keeping her confident face on.

Track drew one card. He then placed down the cards in his hand and looked at both fields. He then looked back up at Mia. " Well I guess this means you win. Seeing the I've only got 1000 life points and lava golem does 1000 points of damage to my life points during each of my standby phases I can't do anything. I was planning on using my face down to increase my life points but my trap stun won't allow me to use it on your and I can't use it now." Track collected his cards and looked at Mia. " Great duel. Your a really good duelist." Track waited for Mia to respond to what he had said and to her winning the duel.

"Thanks you too." Mia responded to Trak, she didn't know why she was being so polite; normally she'd just scoff and point out Trak's flaws in the duel but she someone valued this duel as a good experience. Somehow valued her time with Trak. "I liked your Mechanism cards and the way you kept my LP in check when it started to get high." She said and then put her cards back into one deck then the deck into the duel disk.

'Ok, Jace, what's your plan of action?' questioned Terry, looking at him with his very intense eyes. 'You can say your going for him, but Africa is known to be hot and have deadly creatures, not to mention diseases. Also, with Famine their, it'll be much much worse.' Terry lookd at his Chosen Card, Terranaus, only saying 'Why does my card support your's so efficiently?'

Conquest spoke to Jace telepathically 'Jace, Famine's Deck will weaken your monster's spirits. You must finish the duel quickly or your monster will not only have no power, they will perish due to lack of life force. And before you ask, no. I can't stop it, but I am unaffected by it.'

Meanwhile at the North Pole, in Death's Castle...

Death sat upon a throne of Ice, which turned black at instant touch. He chuckled. Suddenly, the entire area was struck by a Blizzard, acting as a windy shield protecting his castle. The wind was unbearable, it soon turned into an Icey Tornado. However, the lower part which touched the ground seemed bareable enough to walk through.

Meanwhile in Tanzania...

Famine looked at the skies that had turned green. 'All shall weaken, none shall triumph, depression is power.'

Meanwhile in New York...

'The skies are black and red. Stained forever.' War was atop the Empire State Building. A man met him there. He said 'I have the missles ready.' 'Good' War got off his horse and walked up to the man. 'I'll take it they are remote controlled?' 'Yes. Here's the remote.' 'Good, good.' He stabbed the man and pushed him off the building. 'Now perish!'

Meanwhile in China...

'Ha! Look at them suffer!' Pestilence cheered as he saw people vomiting up their own organs and blood.'Whoever said the plague was my best work was wrong!'

[Time Psyduck]

The trip had passed mostly in silence, Sam looking out of the window with the sleeping girl's head resting peacefully on her shoulder. As they travelled, Sam had watched the sky turning red. [i]The colour of blood,[/i] she noticed, [i]not exactly promising[/i].

Without warning the helicopter suddenly swerved. The girl's head dropped from her shoulder, and Sam glanced around to see a missile miss the helicopter by far too little a margin to reach any conclusion but that it was deliberate. She let out a breath she never remembered holding. "Put us down here," she told the pilot, "it looks like War's already coming after us. We'll have to move on foot from here on." The helicopter quickly dived for the nearest place it could land, which happened to be the helipad of a nearby hospital. Sam glanced around, watching for any more incoming missiles, and trying to think of a way to stop them.

War saw the missed missle. 'Fools.' He mounted his horse and rode down the very side of the Empire State building. 'You shall perish soon enough.' Suddenly, gunfire from the streets below were aimed at him. 'Hmph! Violence! No use!' He redirected the bullets towards the landed helicopter as he continued his rampaging charge towards them. 'All shall fall before bloodshed. War is the one and only true destroyer!' A bolt of Lightning teared a blue scar into the red sky. War's horse had made it to ground level, where it contniued it's charge, only this time leaving a trail of fire behind it. 'Prepare to die!' A man ran infront of the horse with a shotgun, shooting War. It was unaffective and War dismounted again and sliced the man perfectly in half, from head downwards.

Samanthania spoke. 'He comes forth, ready yourself!'

Albel leaps out of the helicopter, barely dodging the incoming bullets. "Looks like War really corrupted this city. No matter." He slides on his duel disk and presses a button on its side. The duel disk moves around and transforms into an arm mounted cannon. "Custom built, but does she still work?" He looks at a nearby building, and fires a shot. The shot connects with the building exploding in a huge ball of electricity (Think Cole's electric grenade power in inFamous). "Nice, and it only uses 5% of its power cell when I fire it. Gonna have to find a way to recharge it though." He looks at Sam. "Now we gotta make a decision. What are we gonna do to help the girl? We gonna split up so one works to get her to safety while the other fights War, or do we stay together as a group to complete either objective? It's your choice, I'll go along with whatever you pick."

[Time Psyduck]

Sam glanced back at the girl. "For the moment, we need a base. If we need Jace to beat this thing, and he's taking out Famine and Pestilence first, we're going to have to keep him occupied for a while. Either way, we should stick together. We can't risk trying to face him and having someone in a battle frenzy taking us out from behind. But first of all..." She leaned in and shook the girl. "Miss, we've arrived, and we need you to wake up," she explained.

Suddenly a voice she didn't recognise, but sounded somewhat familiar, spoke. "He comes forth, ready yourself."

Sam's duel disk was active in a moment, as she saw the speaker was a girl in armour. "Wait, you're the girl from the card, right? So that means that "he" is War." She turned to Abel. "Looks like we'll both be doing both," she said, "we may have company."

"Well, we'd best figure out the safest place," motioning towards War as he burns his way through the streets, "and fast before he gets to our position. I'd rather make sure we didn't have to worry about our little friend here being in harms way for too long. But if she must get involved then so be it. I just hope none of us get too severely injured. This things got power, but not enough to last for the amount of time we may be stuck here." Luther appears beside Albel. [b]"My comrade, we've been researching War in our libraries, and it seems that he has a weakness we can exploit in our battles with him."[/b] Albel looks astonished, hearing a Horseman actually had a weakness. "Really, tell me then." [b]"It would appear that War is immune to the effects of our spells and traps, but not our monster effects."[/b] "You mean to say if I used a monster like my 4-D Space Archer, I could get rid of him before we even attacked?" [b]"Precisely, that's his weakness. Even though he can't be touched by spells or traps, he can be stopped by the people he has fighting, like us monsters for example. Even better, he can't revive himself with his spells or traps either."[/b] Albel has a new look of confidence on his face, given to him by knowing the battle they were going to eventually fight would not be a total suicide mission.

Track picked up his deck and placed it back in his pocket. He looked at Mia. " Thanks. I liked your style of dueling as well. I mean your really good. The way you kept increasing your life points was awsome." Suddenly it began to get cold. the helicopter had began to descend to the ground. " Hey is it me or is it getting cold in here. I think weve arrived at the north pole." Then the pilot looked back at them and again instead of using the Pa he shouted back. " Weve arrived at the North Pole." Track moved the table out of the way and undid his seat belt. He got up and stretched his body. " So Mia lets go. We better get going so we can deal with Death."
