Assembling the Cards of Armageddon [LOCK]

'Well, my dear, all I need is any blue jewel, so long as ther is no imitation. From the cheapest to the most extravagent, from he bluest to the faintest blue. So long as it is real and it is blue, hey presto!' 'Merlin, I must ask you also another question. This boy claims that he desires the ability to see spirits. What can you do about this?' 'Hmm...' Merlin looked at Track, then stepped so close to him that if he was any closer there would be nothing in between them. It was Merlin's nature to do extraordinary things and disregard them as strange. He was extremelly old, so this habit would never leave him. He focused on his eyes. '...interesting! My boy, you need nothing more than a little spell. If you open Terry's eyelid and look at his pupils, you will notice that there is a small white pigmentation in it...' Merlin commanded Track.

'Very well, I expect the door to be fully excavated when I return, Maximus.' Reginald exited the tent and returned to his car. His driver took him back to Shroud Manor. The Gates creaked loudley as they opened, which could be heard in the open window of his study, and he drove up to the Courtyard. He then exited the vehicle and came back inside. He walked up the steps...

Albel walks briskly towards Reginald's mansion, carrying on him bags containing his clothes, duel disk, and laptop. As he walks, the card spirit of one of his cards, 4-D Space Scientist, appears beside him. "Sir, are we almost there, the others are getting restless, and personally I'm finding it quite hard to think in there." Albel turns and looks at him. "Well, if I'm correct, that big mansion up there must be the spot, so tell the others that we'll be there soon." At this moment, a second card spirit, 4-D Space Knight, appears next to him, while the other fades back into the deck. "Captain, are you certain we should be involved in this tournament? I have a bad premonition of what may transpire if we are involved." Looking at her with a modest face, Albel replies "Don't worry, with you and your allies powers, there is nothing that can stop us." Albel stops as he arrives at the closed gate. "Looks like we're a bit late, seems they've locked up for now. Knowing a man who'd own a house this big, he must have some sort of security. Hold on." He reaches into his laptop bag and pulls out his laptop. "Now then, lets see, just gotta bypass the firewall, and I'm in. Lets see, ha there it is, now I just gotta shut it off for about a minute and we're good to go." The gates flash signifying they've been deactivated, and Albel slips on through with his bags. A minute later, the gate security reactivates. He walks up to the door of the house and knocks.

"Well that makes no sense. Oh wait, it's magic, I guess a bit of illogic comes with the territory. Excuse me a moment," she added, before leaving the room and making her way back to her own. Once there she opened her suitcase and began to fettle around in it. She soon found what she was looking for - a small blue box, which when opened turned out to contain some jewellery. "Take some with you, to wear if you get tired of those clothes," he mother had told her. Despite her independence, she'd found herself being unable to refuse taking it, but she hadn't planned to wear any of it - as was clear by the fact that even having come back from dining in a dress, she still hadn't unpacked it.

Opening it, she looked through the various items and found a set of earrings - she had no idea why her mother kept getting them when she didn't even have pierced ears - a couple of necklaces and a ring, all of which looked sort of blue. Scooping them up, she left the case open and headed back to Terry's room, holding the items out. "I have no idea whether any of this is good enough, because I didn't buy it, but I'm never going to want it, so if you can use any of it, take it."

It's been two hours since everyone else seemed to leave the table, save Miqea, and the leftover food that was on the table, and her own plate for that matter, must surely be starting to get cold. Having not even ate a thing for eight hours now, Miqea felt she had to draw the line on this loss of appetite right then and there, aiming to eat as much as she could. Normally, she'd follow a strict vegan diet, mainly enforced by her mother, but right now she was beyond the point of caring what exactly she put in mouth to swallow. After all, she never did like to complain, least of all after previously starving.

"Hello there." Another female voice sounded off as Miqea was still stuffing her face full of food, she looked rather young compared to Mia but she didn't mind it. "You must also be a duelist for this tournament." Mia said and then pulled the chair right across from Miqea and sat down in it with a smile. "Tell me something though, what are you goals and ambitions for this tournament, what do you plan to achieve?" Mia questioned, trying to study humanity and why it should or shouldn't get destroyed...

Track looked at the old man magician who was staring him in the face up so close to Track that if he had gotten any closer Track would have been touching his face, which he didnt want seeing that this merlin guy had alot of wrinkles. Then merlin finished what he was saying, about looking at Terrys eyes. Track went over and lifted Terrys eyelid seeing the small white pigmentation. He then walked back over to Merlin. " Well if thats what gives him his ability then i want it to. Except do you think my eyes could still stay completely red like they already are. Ive kind of got an image going on here and i kinda dont want to spoil the red, if you know what i mean." Track waited for the wizard to respond, as he did so Sam came back into the room with some blue jewelry.

'AHAHA! Shorty, you are indeed a little sperlunker aren't you!' Merlin addressed Track as Shorty, only because he didn't know his name. Merlin chuckled wildly. He even fell on the bed. Arthur collected the blue jewellry. 'Thank you, m'lady. Merlin, the blue jewels you seeked.' 'Hmm? What is that?' Merlin seemed to have forgotten what he was doing. 'Aha! That's right.' He then began to chant.

Szent Kék Megnyit Egy Spirituális Kaput, Hadd Legyen Az én Piacra Jutását Ezen a Világon!

A blue aura glowed around Merlin, turning him human again. 'Now then, Terry needs treatment.' With Merlin's staff he sharply jabbed Terry into the stomach. Terry, felling this, sprung up. 'OUCH! What the hell are you do...oooing? Merlin? Is that you?' 'Well it is nice to see you to, m'lord!' 'Arthur?' 'Yes, m'lord.' 'Where is Reginald?' 'M'lord, I would tell you if I could. I do not know where he is.' 'Nevermind that! Shorty here wants to see spirits! Well, you can't have it both ways. We don't have vampire blood, which would reduce the pigmentation of the pupil in your eye, so for now it is either with the white or no power at all...sorry, but my power has limits. I'm a magician and I used cauldrons and what not! We don't have resources.'

Track saw Merlin cast the spell to heal Terry. Track looked at Terry as he was jabbed in the stomache. Track then looked back Merlin then Arthur then Samantha. Then he finnally looked back at Merlin. But then Merlin had called Track shorty which had annoyed him. " Listen old man dont call me shorty. Just cause im short you dont need to make fun of me. My name is Track, not shorty. And fine if i have to have white pigmentation then whatever, can we get this over with i cant wait to start to see the spirits of all the other duel monsters." Track was waiting for Merlin to cast the spell, eagerly.

'Alright, calm down Shorty!' Terry saw Track's face, but he tapped him on the shoulder and said 'Don't bother Track, he is too old to be getting names right. He still doesn't know Lancelot's, even though he is the most famous knight. He called my Turkey for 2 years as well.' 'Now then, let's get this over with!' Merlin tapped the floor with his staff, and his hands began to glow. He spoke to Track in a distorted voice. 'Look into my eyes boy.' Then, while Track was following instruction, he poke him in the eye. 'There you go!' Merlin said in his normal voice. 'A rather...unorthodox method, if I may say.' commented Arthur.

Then Terry tapped Track on the shoulder telling him that Merlin would never get his name right, even though he had already told him his name.Track listened to Merlins instructions, and looked into his eyes. Then all of a sudden Merlin poked Track in the eye. He covered his eye and looked at Merlin. " Hey what was that for you jerk. Anyway old man thanks for helping me see duel spirits." Track moved his hand and shook his head violently. He then looked back at Terry. " So hey Terry, are you feeling better now or what. Dont worry were gonna find out more about this Reginald guy and deal with him."

Miqea was never easy amongst other people, least of all complete strangers. But she figured she'd might as well talk to this new person... but first she felt she had to gulp down her current mouthful. So much for perhaps stuffing her face: she didn't even finish half of what was on her plate before this girl arrived.

"Wow, this food's really good, you should try so-... oh, you were probably here with the others, weren't you?"

Now turning her attention to the area in which Reginald and Terry dueled each other, Miqea couldn't help but shudder once more as she thought about those cursed Draining Platforms, and what happened to Terry after he was defeated.

"In that case, you might've seen the duel that commenced here... and how that one guy kinda collapsed," Miqea gulped, thinking she could be next should those Draining Platforms be activated during the actual tournament itself, "I just can't help but think this, but... how could anyone let something like that happen?"

"I agree that the duel platforms seemed to be a bit much." Mia started saying, helping herself to a piece of pie that was on the other end of the table, she had already eaten a main course and fancied herself some desert. "However, don't you think that Terry, the opponent, was being overconfident and head strong to even challenge Reginald in the middle of dinner nontheless?" Mia asked, taking another bite of the pie, she closed her eyes and than looked at the girl again. "You don't think those platforms will be used during the actual tournament do you?" Mia asked, slight fear in her voice but not much.

'Track, I'm feeling much better now, but the thing is...all you did was poke me in the chest, Merlin!' 'What's that?' 'Nevermind...' The Spirits disappeared into Terry's deck. 'Well, you know what! I'm going to duel! I'll show our host just how tough I am...ughh...no I am not.' Terry's legs disagreed with the idea of dueling and started to wobble. He regained balance and continued speaking. 'Sam, Track, thanks...I know any other dueslist would probably leave me on the platform. As for looking for Reginald...I'll pass. I've had enough of that creep for one day...or night, rather.'

Reginald had arrived at his study, noticing the door was open. 'Hmm...do we have a little...rat?' He walked in and saw Jace on his computer, with paper's scattered on the floor. 'Well, well, well. What do we have here...care to explain yourself, Jace? I give you hospitality, a wonderful meal, and here you are, in my private study, spying on my things. I will give you two choices. One: I'll deal with you for your silence. But I will warn you, I can silence people in more ways than one...which leads to option number 2: We duel. You win, and you walk away sct free, doing what you wish with the information you have learned. But if I win, well, let's just say you'll be a good, little boy.'

"It's no problem," Sam replied. She would have said it's what anyone else would have done, but, well, that had turned out not to be the case. "Anyway, you should rest. Whatever that spirit of yours did, it looks as though it's not perfect." She had to admit she was glad that Terry wasn't eager to get back at Reginald. "Go to sleep, and be ready for the tournament tomorrow. I get the feeling this isn't the last we'll have seen of those platforms. Anyway, I'll give you some privacy, so goodnight to you both." She scooped up her jewellery and left the room.

Having dropped the jewels off in her room, but having put them somewhere easy to find if - or more worryingly, when - they were needed again, she set off back towards the dining hall. She remembered something about another duel on a different field, and it would be helpful to know of any traps that were present there.

Noticing the door was unlocked, Albel pushed it open and examined the area. "Quite a fancy host we must have, if I do say so myself." The knight hovers near him. "Still, I have a bad feeling about this. I mean it, something about this place just sends chills down my spine. I think I'll tell the others we've arrived." The knight vanishes, and Albel looks around. "Well, I hope I get to meet the host soon, since I had to walk most of the way here." He looks at the metal gauntlet covering his left arm, noticing it had begun to lose the glow he would normally keep it at. "I'll just hang out around here, as it would seem this is where most people would pass by to get from place to place." Albel walks over a wall and leans against it, waiting for some assistance with meeting the host.

"I hope not," Miqea answered after a brief sigh, "No-one deserves to have their sucked out of them like that... even if they are as cocky as you're making this... Terry come out to be. I just wish I had the guts to stand up to him and address him about this whole thing."

Starting to get back to eating her plateful of food, Miqea slowly became more and more comfortable again.

"Mmm, this food is actually quite good," she commented, "Even considering I let go cold for two hours..."

'Well, this is my room...Track...you know I'm not sleeping with you in the same room as me. It isn't that I don't like you, were friends. It's just that I need the rest, like Sam says. So I'll bid you goodnight...' Terry walked into the ensuite bathroom to change into his nightwear, which is simply a grey t-shirt and black boxers. He looked at himself in the mirror, then he lifted his shirt, looking at where Merlin poked him. 'Why does all of Merlin's spells involve him attacking someone? He is nuts...' Terry chuckled, then he yawned. He brushed his teeth and went to bed. Strangely enough, a card from his Deck was missing, however this would be unnoticable...

Clara walked down various hallways, until she noticed a boy with metalic boots and a gauntlet. 'Excuse me, but I do not believe I saw you at the opening ceremony. Could I see the invitation letter please?'

Reaching into his pocket, he produces an invitation, which he promptly hands to the woman. "I believe this is what you needed to see. I had quite a trip to get here so I wasn't able to attend the opening ceremonies." Reaching down, Albel picks up his bags, and then asks the woman "So will I get to meet the owner of this house today or will I have to wait until tomorrow to speak with him? I'm just curious as to who was hosting this event, as I had never heard of the guy." Albel's eyes dart back and forth, almost analyzing the entire room to make sure he wasn't caught off guard by anything.

'Very well, everything appears to be in order. Welcome to Shroud Manor. Unfortunatley our host, Lord Reginald von Shroudvenstein is unavailable untill tomorrow, however in the meantime the competitors are all making their way to the Greenhouse Duel Arena, where some friendly duels will begin shortly.' Clara looked at the boy's unique appearance and then asked him 'May I be of assistance by escorting you there?' She offered him her hand.

Mia finished the last bite of her pie, she moved the plate to where others had been stacked up, emptied, and readied to be washed. Mia stood up and gave her new acquaintance a smile of friendship, she then made sure she didn't have any crumbs on her cloths before nodding her head at Miqea. "Well than, it was good to chat with you...well now, I can't believe after all that chatting we didn't even exchange pleasantries. My name is Mia, and yours?" Mia said, friendly introducing herself.

"Huh, that's almost similar to mine," Miqea commented, "I'm Miqea. It was surprisingly nice to meet you here and all. Hey, you don't happen to know where I could practise for the tournament, do you?"

Well, to be fair, Miqea only threw this deck up together to see how well it could perform. And there was no sense testing a deck without something, or even someone for that matter, to have a practice duel with. Eager to get going, Miqea finished up the last few pieces of food on her place and pushed it aside, standing up for the first time in a while.

"Well now seems like you need a dueling partner, but I warn you, I take no duel lightly." Mia explained and then walked to the door way of the room. "Meet me just outside the manor, I'll grab my duel disk and we can start practicing straight away." Mia said and then went to go upstairs to get her duel disk. She went into her room, unlocking it with her key, and then rummaged through her belongings fer her duel disk; it was the same design as a regular battle city model but it was crimson red and it's card spaces were yellow. Mia than went outside of the manor and awaited her new acquaintance.

Finally, a chance to try out the deck that Miqea had made especially for this tournament. She was excited, to say the least. Rushing to fetch her Duel Disk, she ran out into the manor so she could find Mia. Before she loaded her Deck into her Duel Disk though, Miqea looked through her card to make sure she was happy with each card that was there. Remembering to put her Fusion and Synchro Monsters to in their own Extra Deck first, Miqea had prepared herself for the practise duel.

Reginald had arrived at his study, noticing the door was open. 'Hmm...do we have a little...rat?' He walked in and saw Jace on his computer, with paper's scattered on the floor. Jace smirked as he closed the laptop and walked, rather casually around the magnificent desk, leaning against it as his arms supported him, and his feet crossed. "Hm...duel...or deal." He chuckled as he reached behind him and pulled the duel disk closer. "And just how much is this information worth to you for me keeping it a secret?" He chuckled a bit more. "Or should you just go ahead and set up those interesting little platforms of yours in the stone arena again? Or perhaps the Green House arena?" His eyes never left Reginald's as he stood up and secured his disk to his arm. "We'll duel when the time comes old man....Just prepare yourself, I wont fall like Terry did. Remember that." And with that, Jace walked past, out the door, and slammed it behind him, making his way down the halls to the main room.

Mia readied her duel disk on her arm and inserted her deck; lighting the duel disk up but not activating it. "I do hope you appreciate this, practice duels aren't really in my nature." Mis said, activating her duel disk and launching the hologram projectors so her cards would appear as she played them. "Age before beauty." She said, admitting that not only was she older than Miqea but uglier too, than drawing a card to commission that she was going first.

"I rather despise the situation my hand is in right now dear, so I think I'll change that by playing Reload!" Mia announced as the card appeared on her side of the duel area and she then shuffled her hand of five cards back into her deck and drew a new hand. "I think now I'll activate Fires of Doomsday, to summon two Fiend tokens to my field in Defense Positon." Mia said, two fiendish looking monsters appearing on her field. "Next, I think this Poison of the Old Man will do some damage ta ya, 800 points of damage to be exact."
