Sander
You guys are both stating opinions. Get over it.
But the fact being is that shorther effects are generally better. Compare YCM's "long" effects to the in-game version long effect. I swear, people in YCM enjoy making some of the stupidest cards with effects way to long to be even considered realistic. Anyways, on topic: Bah, I dislike the new term for RFG. =/ "Problem solving text", it's Konamis problems getting changed by this change in terms, mainly in the printing derpartment. Bringerofcake
Some like to think that the company actually realizes that dependence on an internet site and hundreds of pages of rulings are not very good for a card game. Also, there are two more articles dealing with cost, requirement and effect. It's making things clearer, that's for sure. http://www.konami.com/yugioh/articles/?p=2947 http://www.konami.com/yugioh/articles/?p=2962

Y2Jgrave
The old ocg work just fine. The New Card Grammar Rules seem pointless imo and it feels like ygo try to be MTG...
Flame Dragon
I love how they did this around the time MTG changed up some of it's terms. I know it's a coincidence, but it's funny never the less. I'm fine with Banish since being removed from play really wasn't removed from play. Leaves and removed are close enough for it to be a meaningless change. Trample finally getting keyworded is much overdue. the HERO change is just to make life easier. MY big problem is with the ‘targeted for an attack.’ I just sounds unnatural no matter how many times I read it.
Old OCG = Fun to write long effects New OCG = Weird and boring, almost impossible to write too long effects
How does this make writing effects any different. And most of the effects I come up with for cards are still going to be 6 lines ling and just fit on the card maker cards. From what I understand hardly anything is changing.
Some like to think that the company actually realizes that dependence on an internet site and hundreds of pages of rulings are not very good for a card game. http://www.konami.co...rticles/?p=2947 http://www.konami.co...rticles/?p=2962
Is that a shot at MTG? And again, I don't see how this really change things. It might be because I follow how things work now, but I don't see it changing much about how cards are written and understood. unbreakerable
yeash more new OCG gibberish. i don't like it for 2 reasons. 1:makes the game more complicated= less players. 2=dude! old OCG actually made sense! this is just.....you know what, I don't even know. Alice Moonflowyr
I have been so used to the phrase, "remove from play" that "Banish" just sounds weird. Although the "Leaves the field" thing makes a little sense...I dont plan on changing my "remove from play" monsters. But I might change my cards for the other rule. Ignis avis
They used to use "This card inflicts piercing damage." on some of their cards, why not just use that since it's already in circulation instead of the new wording? Otherwise I like the changes much easier to use.
kyle36
i have to admit that rmoved from the field is a more effective pronounciation but banished just sounds alot cooler than removed from play
FF Fan
Banish I'm cool with. Takes up less space on the cards. Leave from the field sounds weird and unprofessional. Piercing Damage saves space. Changing Heroes to HEROES seems pointless.
