The Amazing Avian Posted June 6, 2011 Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 I think VII got the biggest fanbase because it was the first PS1 Final Fantasy game. I wouldn't really ask for a remake, it was decent, not the best. VIII was my favorite, I liked the military storyline, the epic antagonist that sliced Odin in half, and of course who could forget the dad that was so epic he could swing from a rope attached to nothing while shooting at someone. VI was my second favorite, the story was one of my favorites in the series and of course it had Kefka. X is my 3rd favorite, I just wish they could have done the whole father/son thing here like they did in VIII. Not in the same way of course, maybe a separate game that serves as a prequel and focuses on the stories of Braska, Auron and Jecht. I couldn't get into IX as much as I would have wanted, it was good though. The one thing I hated about the game was the Kuja trap. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Grunt Issun Posted June 7, 2011 Report Share Posted June 7, 2011 X was my favorite as well, to bad I had to ruin the Braskas Final Aeon fight by using Tidus and Yunas celstial weapons, Tidus was doing 20,000 plus damage and using quick hit! Phantom Roxas Posted June 7, 2011 Report Share Posted June 7, 2011 XII was the first Final Fantasy game I ever got, but IV is my favorite mostly because it's the only Final Fantasy game I've ever beaten other than Crisis Core. It's just amazing. I have II, VII, X, XII, and XIII, so I need to get around to playing more of those eventually. For the record, I love XIII. I actually find the world interesting, the characters enjoyable, and the linearity isn't a problem for me. I'm looking forward to XIII-2, though I need to beat the game first. I'm in no rush for a VII remake, mostly because I'm in the beginning of the game. Besides, Square Enix needs to remake V and VI before they bother with that. Learning why Gilgamesh is an Ensemble Darkhorse firsthand is why I want a Final Fantasy V remake. Then VI because of Kefka and to see if it's truly one of the best in the series like I hear it is. I got into the series because of Kingdom Hearts. Now I want to try and get the main installments and their respective spin-offs. Not entirely interested in other spin-offs though. Mostly 'cause he's the only actuall recuring charecter Anyway, aren't the mascots really hard to get though? I read that on final fantasy wiki. UltimaSeekerX Posted June 27, 2011 Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 I've played FF I, II and III (I haven't beaten it yet) and I have the following 3 games and FF XII, but I won't play them until I finish the 3rd one and i'm sure that won't be soon, specially because I'm so fond to FF XII, but I'm locked because I have no controller to play with and I want to beat that completely first. I know FF VII is great, but I simply can't play it, because I have no means toplay it. About FF XI...I don't know. I have seen some images but I can't like it.
