Second Wave Monarchs that are missing

Recommended Posts

Pluvios the Rainfall Monarch
WATER/Level 6/Sea-Serpent-Effect
ATK:2400/DEF:1000
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select up to 2 monsters on the field and return them to their owner's hand. For each card returned to the hand this way, that card's controller draws 1 card. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned.

Freewind the Northern Wind Monarch
WIND/Level 6/Fairy-Effect
ATK:2400/DEF:1000
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select up to 2 cards from either's player's hand and return them to their owner's Deck. For each card returned to the Deck this way, that card's owner draws 1 card. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned.

Magmal the Firebreath Monarch
FIRE/Level 6/Dragon-Effect
ATK:2400/DEF:1000
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select up to 2 different face-up monsters you control and the same number of monsters you opponent controls. Each player takes damage equal to half the combined original ATK of those monsters. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned.

Ruling: You cannot activate this effect if your opponent doesn't control at least 1 face-up monster.

Savage the Warcraft Monarch
EARTH/Level 6/Beast-Warrior-Effect
ATK:2400/DEF:1000
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select up to 2 monsters on either's player's Graveyard and add them to your hand. You cannot use them this turn and your opponent draws a number of cards equal to the number of cards you added by this effect to your hand. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned.

Question: For Freewind, do you get to see your opponent's hand?

Savage looks OP'd. Cards that return 2 monsters from the grave are rare, and decks that use them are either ones that need them (Dark World - The Forces Of Darkness, if you aren't discarding you aren't playing right, and it's vulnerable to Royal Decree) or the card itself has a restriction (Any water deck - Salvage, requires the monster to be weak). Savage has next to no restriction, and even lets you dip into your opponent's grave. I'll just nab that level I need from your grave, and the tuner I need from mine, and synchro summon whatever will get me out of whatever jam my opponent always puts me in to justify putting such an overpowered card in my deck.

No you choose them without seeing but you can choose the ones from your hand seeing them

Eh...good point...now the cost for such plays is giving the opponent advantage

If Freewind doesn't let you see your opponent's hand I think it should say "random card in your opponent's hand" somewhere in the card text. "You can not use them this turn" also strikes me as incorrect OCG, but it's just a hunch.

Anyway, these cards are nice. I would like it if Magmal had an effect beyond burning, it seems underpowered.
