I know it doesn't really look fancy or anything, but here's your basic information. Please, feel free to browse, and please join! Also, for anyone who wishes to be a Dark Order member, please private message me first, as I have a few things I need to discuss so that you understand exactly what being a Dark Order monster means. [spoiler='Plot']Finally, after millenia of constant war, all Duel Monsters have been able to come together as one. With the new Treaty of Unification, the groups have ceased their constant struggle of dominance, and have come together in hopes of using their combined efforts to help each other. It is, without a doubt, the greatest moment in Duel Monster history. Or, it was. It took no more than ten years. Suddenly, Brionac, Gungnir, and Trishula, the fabled Dragons of the Ice Barrier, and the strongest members of that race of ice users, went missing. Although it was unusually odd (none of the three had ever missed their duty of guarding the race's secret city), the people weren't overly worried. After all, with the Treaty of Unity, nothing but peace and prosperity could be found no matter where in the Duel Monsters Realm you went, and after their long years of service, the dragons deserved a rest. So everyone continued to go about their daily lives, oblivious to the evil awaiting them. That is, until the Dragons' heads were found. The first, in the land of the Neo-Spacians, was Brionac's. The second, in the land of the Dark Magicians, Gungnir's. And, finally, in the land of the Morphtronics, Trishula's head. Each one had a piece of wood on a string attached to them, which, when combined, formed a singular sentence. "We Are" "The" "Dark Order." It is finally that, after a decade of peace, a new group of evil emerges, threatening the new-found peace that the others had worked so hard to found. Will this new "Dark Order" prevail, and cause anarchy to once again reign? Or will the Duel Monsters be able to combine their powers to defeat the new evil?[/spoiler] [spoiler='Notes']Ok, so with this, there are a few things that must be noted along with the plot. 1) We will be playing actual Duel Monsters. No cards, no decks, no duel disks, just monster battles. 2) The Dark Order is a new group that I made, so there are a lot of things to note about it. Lower ranking individuals are known as Arms, Legs, and Heads. The Arms are offensive officers, the Legs are spies and messengers, and Heads are researchers or consultants. The leaders are 10 officers known as Hearts, each one with a codename, as will be shown later.[/spoiler] [spoiler='Rules']1) The normal ones, no God Moding, Power Playing, yada yada. 2) Please, maximum of 2 characters. 3) Because this is a roleplay where you're not using decks or dueling, but playing as the monsters themselves, made-ups are allowed, as well as making your own powers for currently existing monsters is perfectly fine. Just make sure to keep the powers relevant to the individual monster you're making. 4) Note that, because we are using powers and not focusing on the Monster's ATK/DEF, weaker monsters CAN beat stronger monsters, however, ranks (your position in your individual group), is usually determined by your level. So, in the Morphtronics realm, Boomboxen (level 4), has a higher rank than Scopen (level 3), however, a Scopen could still be stronger than Boomboxen, depending on the roleplayer using it. Please keep this in mind. Yeah, that's really it. Naimo Posted May 17, 2011 Report Share Posted May 17, 2011 Name: Supreme Arcanite Magician Type: Spellcaster Attribute: LIGHT Level: 10 Age: 400 Group: Spell Counter Magicians Biography: Supreme Arcanite Magician really has lived through rough times; she was born during the war, and thus has grown up to be forced to fight. Like all magicians, she started as an apprentice of some kind - in this case, she used to be an Arcane Apprentice. As the war raged on, she found herself swapping tutors as each one was eventually gravely injured/killed due to the war; she ended up being briefly tutored by five magicians before eventually learning properly from a Dark Red Enchanter. It's often said that the shifting of tutors made Supreme Arcantie Magician highly reluctantly to fully participate in fighting. Eventually, she decided to follow the Spell Counter path, and became an Arcanite Magician when she was fifty. She was still not satisfied with her position, and she strived to be even better. For some strange occurence, once again, she found herself moving between two tutors before she was properly taught more about Spell Counters; the process took fifty years again - much longer than the average magician - before she was deemed worthy to recieve an Assault Mode title. Even then, she was [i]still[/i] disatisfied, and deciding that she wanted to be the ultimate, she sought to learn even more about Spell Counters. Once again, she found herself being tutored by three tutors over the course of sixty years; during that time, the former Supreme Arcanite Magician was tragically killed in the war (how predictable!), and she decided to apply and be in the running. Fighting was necessary, and after a very lengthy trial, she narrowly beat her opponent and won. Now crowned with the Supreme Arcanite Magician title, she believed that she could be a general who would stay by the sidelines and order the troops around. Within minutes of her victory, she was called to service, and thus spent the next 230 years reluctantly fighting. You'd probably expect Naimo to delve into more detail, but she'll spare you, as this bio is growing increasingly predictable, unoriginal, very lengthy, and tragedy-filled; rest assured, her character witnessed [u]a lot[/u] of cliched deaths and injuries, understood the pain of war, continuously asked herself what good war was for, and wished for a better future, like some dramatic hero and over-blown plotline from a big blockbuster. When peace was finally declared, Supreme Arcanite Magician was relieved to be finally free of her duties, and she lived life peacefully, as usual, in her rather large stately mansion. When she discovered that they would be at war again, the supposedly jammed door to her room had to be knocked down into splinters before her deeply upset self had no more excuse to delay going to war. Yeah, she really hates it. Personality:Overall, there's a slight Lord Darkness touch to her (ElvenQuest reference), and it makes her seem a bit too comical for a leader. Supreme Arcanite Magician appears to be rather bored all the time; she's quite touchy, and continuously tries to make herself seem more pompous, as well as show off her status, by being fussy and demanding. She also insists on creating a lovely home environment for her to work in, so expect a lot of flowers and spell counters. She's also a tad on the flirty side, but she's clearly not good at it, and instead makes herself seem rather foolish. Violence and gore-wise, she prefers to avoid them, as she is a tad squeamish and cowardly, but if she has to engage in battle, she will do so ... reluctantly. She prefers to stay by the sidelines and take on a more supportive role. Weapon(s): Staff, and a bag full of Spell Counters (she can hold 5 at any one time) Power(s): Whilst she can use general offensive and defensive magic, her self-proclaimed "best powers" come from her Spell Counters: -Her staff has an uncanny ability to direct her to the nearest Spell Counter(s), which can be a good or bad thing, depending on their situation -She can use a Spell Counter to power up her next blast, and go for a full-on hopefully critical hit. In other words, it's a much stronger attack than her standard move. She rarely uses this move, as it not only depletes her stock of Spell Counters, but also because the power required is so strong she struggles to stand it herself, let alone repeatedly use it. Though he was constructed by Destiny Hero - Fear Monger his blueprints and construction data is kept by Destiny Hero - Disk Commander. The base memories he has are those of Fear Monger. Dasher is an assassin of the Destiny Heroes, with a record of 300/300 perfectly executed jobs. Personality: Quiet, talks very rarely, his victims are usually disposed of too quickly for him to talk to them. Some think of him as heartless, but he is just doing his job. Weapon(s): a sonic emitter that lures Sheep Tokens Power(s): by killing a monster he gets powered up, but only for a short while. ok, sorry for the shitty bio and personality description, but I'm sleepy... Kakkon_Wolf, your powers seem more like card effects. o.o Since this is a world where the monsters are fighting with their own powers, I want you to develop actual powers for your character, not so much card effects. For instance, instead of saying, "by killing a monster, he gets stronger," say, "he can absorb the life force of anyone he has killed, and adds it to his own," or something like that. Rank: Bound Heart Biography: The Necromancer's are a rare species of monsters, they come in all sorts of different shapes, but this one is different. People call him Moirai. He was around for much of Duel Monster's history, if not all of it. He's been around for eons upon eons, watching the world crumble around him into its inevitable doom. He writes in cryptic symbols that not many can read and only speaks through telepathy as his voice cannot produce any sensible utterance that would be considered a word. He was cursed with the knowledge of how the world shall end, the exact date, hour, and second. He even knows details of how it will occur. After he eventually decided that waiting for the end was no fun and he would tell fortunes to those who asked for them, as was one of his many talents. He would also lead monsters against each other for amusement, after all, he had to make the most of what he got and peace was boring and pointless to him. When that treaty of Unity came about, he snapped. He helped on the chaos that the Treaty tried to stop. He was enraged, but then stopped to think... That the world will end in chaos anyway, he just had to bring some more to aid the build up. This is why he joined the dark order, and his tactical personality and his prophetic abilities, he has become one of the hearts of the organization. Personality: Moirai, as some would call him just to avoid saying the entire name, is rather serious and doesn't stray to things that have no purpose, like small talk and goofing off. He is quick to temper but is usually calm and will do anything to cause chaos. He knows he is bound by fate and will make sure his fate will come true. Weapon(s): a large, very thick, very old book. Power(s):He can transform his entire body into any shape or size smaller or at the size of his normal body. He can also change his arms into swords of fire, which shoot fire out of them. Moriai has prophetic powers as he can see events hundreds of years in the future, [b][u]he does this by manipulating the darkness that dwells within his book to create a mist that allows him to see into the future[/u][/b], but for some reason he cannot see his own fate. He also has a type of vision that allows him to see a golden string, it is on every living creature and hangs around their neck, the tighter it gets, the closer the person is to death until it fuses with the person's neck and they die. He can't control them but he's figured out a way to guess how long each thing has to live based of pre-determined events that the strings run by. Moirai can also fly with his six wings. Reinforce Posted May 24, 2011 Report Share Posted May 24, 2011 Name: Black Chaos Sorcerer (also known as Chaos or Chaos Incarnate) Type: Spellcaster Attribute: DARK Level: 10 Age: Unknown, thought to be around since not long after the start of time Rank (ex.- Heart, Arm, Leg, etc.): Chaos Heart Biography: Chaos first appeared soon after the beginning of time, when chaos first appeared in this world, in the form of Black Chaos Sorcerer - Envoy of the Begining. It was later revealed that he was the master who controlled the Envoys and was never really a part of the Spirit World until that first sign of chaos in the world appeared, he was always in his own world, the chaos world where chaos roamed free even before the existance of time and no-one really has a physical form or identity. That first crossing between the spirit world and the chaos world caused several monsters in the chaos world to gain forms that were only seen in the spirit world, the first one seen being the Black Chaos Sorcerer - Envoy of the Begining, then followed by Chaos Sorcerer and the fiendish beast known as Gren Maju Da Eiza, who didn't have any personality other then a hunger for spirits to eat, as well as himself, the Black Chaos Sorcerer. Other monsters appeared from the chaos world, as the link between the two worlds became stronger though the ruler of that world remained as Chaos himself, the original embodiment of chaos and the one that will remain when the Envoy of the End destroys the spirit world through chaos. Chaos didn't have any purpose for his continued existance, until he noticed the beginings of the Dark Order, and realised that they could help to speed up the end of the spirit world that he desired when Chaos Emperor Dragon was finally unleashed on the world, which is why he joined them, to destroy the spirit world and the link back to the chaos world in order to grant the beings of chaos that realm that once existed. He is fiercely defensive of the fact that none of the Earthbound Immortals ever came from chaos, nor the three Wicked Gods or Zorc Necrophades, though the Sacred Beasts and their master Armityle the Chaos Phantom did. Personality: Chaos is rather chaotic in all he does, he isn't very good at following orders, which means it is a good thing he became the Chaos Heart. He is rather calm and rational, but his idea of logic is often flawed and he can jump straight from one thought to another non-related thought. He also gets distracted easily, but this is offset by his ability to focus on multiple things at the same time, another remnant from his origins from pure chaos. Weapon(s): The only weapon Chaos uses is his armouring and the dragon he rides, though the dragon is often left behind in the chaos world when he enters the spirit world, which doesn't lower his power at all. The dragon is rather large and strong, and can shoot chaotic energy balls, with a similar effect to that of the vortexes that Chaos can make, though they share the same limitations and power source. Do not confuse that dragon with the Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End, as it is a currently unnamed dragon, and definitely isn't the Chaos Emperor Dragon as he will only appear at the end of the world. Power(s): Chaos can call upon the power of his home world to create a small field that distorts everything around it, to the point where if he creates the field around a chair, sometimes that chair would either become another object altogether or return to it's origins and become a tree again. He can create a small vortex of chaos, that sucks in anything nearby and transports it into the chaos world, which causes it to lose it's solid form unless near the portal to the spirit world. He can control and wield lightning as a much more predictable power, which is the one he uses the most as the others tend to drain his energy much more severely, because of the effort of tapping into the power of the chaos world while so far away. While he is either just in the chaos world or right near the portal he uses the chaos powers, as the effort of tapping into the energy is much less when he is closer. He can also manipulate fireballs and use that fire to attack people, and his darkness power as the chaos heart is the ability to control and use darkfire, a corrupted form of fire that looks almost black and green with only the slightest hint of red amongst it. When the darkfire hits something, it explodes with as much force as a grenade, albeit a grenade that explodes with normal flames coming out of it and burning the area around the explosion. MortalKombatSmoke, application accepted, however, I need to private message you about something first, sorry for not doing this before. Simdoggy, I'm sorry, but please refrain from mentioning other character's aspects in your character's application. o.o Please talk to Moirai before even mentioning him in your biography, much less say what his vision is. Now, if you've already talked to Moirai, I'm sorry for getting on you, I didn't know. But if you haven't, please, erase the mentioning of Moirai's vision in your biography, and speak to Moirai directly for permission. It's his character and his vision, so please, respect that. Lord JZ of the Enigma Posted May 25, 2011 Report Share Posted May 25, 2011 Name: Six Samurai - Shi En (Original Name Seishin) Type: Warrior Attribute: Dark Level: 5 Age: 21 Group: Six Samurai Biography: born as Crown Prince of the Land of Blue Flames, living a comfortable life in public and forced to live to his father’s expectations at all times or be punished as a failure throughout his childhood, he learned to be a hard worker when in private but open and kind in public. Only revealing his problems to his younger sister Mizuho. Though others who sensed his frustrations were his bodyguard Enishi and the son of the Grand Vizier Kageki. Around the time of the last war his stress caught up to him causing him to run away from the palace where he bumped into a pair of young peasant hoodlums named Kizan and Shinai. While it was nothing more of a meeting between children the two boys helped Seishin see how the lives of the common folk were much worse then his pampered life. It helped him make the decision to do something for the people of his land and his two new friends. Around the time of peace when Seishin was only 11 he grew fond of his training. Never knowing why he had an intense love for battle. Though peace is only as far as wartime goes the village he lived in had criminals now and then and the righteous Seishin took it upon himself to play the hero. For a while things went smoothly until in a small struggle his forehead was slashed across, leaving a scar over his families symbol. Once his father learned of his foolish acts Seishin was forced to go under the “Death Flame” tutelage under him to show him his place. The training was arduous, but his friends helped out as much as they could, even making themselves stronger to protect him if the time came. The Paranoid leader of the Blue Flame Country had always been prepared for war and the message from the Dark Order came almost to no surprise as he soon revealed his elite generals, force trained for ten years the Six Samurai, holding weaponry far beyond their time and the powers of the sacred bushido code. He knew they would be his greatest assets in war and had them sent as his representatives. His Final act, taking his sons name from him and rechristening him as the Death Flame, Shi En. Personality: His harsh training has become a great factor in his change of attitude to the public, but his own personal outlook on life is still one of peace. He wishes for the world to remain well in balance but due to his inborn bipolarity he will snap at people unexpectedly. When holding his sword He remains the enigmatic leader of the Six Samurai, but without it he is simply the man who wishes for peace. Many don’t know what he looks like without armor but those who do are sure that Shi En and Seishin are different people all together. Being a prince he is rather charismatic, having gained social skills beyond the norm, but his personal interactions can be rather sketchy. Only his younger sister truly understands his emotions, while others simply see his spirit. Weapon(s): The Sword passed down generation through generation of the Shien name, aptly named the Hell fang for it’s serrated and demonic appearance. Power(s): His Training has helped him become powerful despite his years, and his sword grants him an immeasurable power in battle. Known as the spell killer it a special power which allows him to slash through most forms of magic and cause it’s immediate negation. However the move causes a huge drain of energy and as such he reserves it for dire situations only, or else the blade’s horrendous spirit may consume his own. He also has his comrades who on varying missions will aide him, depending on who he is with his strategy is always different for each battle. He normally travels with no more then 2 people at a time from the six samurai, and all six will convene only when they face a great opponent. His original purpose was to help defend the Batterymen in the war; initially, he followed his orders loyally, until his core programme began to develop. It wasn't long before he recognised that he was being used as a mere guard dog; dissatisfied and angry, he conceived a plan. When the war was over, he suddenly ran away from the Batterymen, and for the next few months, he spent his days as a savage, looking for anywhere to stay. It was during this time that he was approached by some members of the Dark Order, and his increasingly evil nature agreed perfectly with the Dark Order's aims. Even though he worked his way up their ranks, Industrial still felt that being a Heart wasn't good enough; however, as it seemed unlikely that he would be moving up any more ranks, he forced himself to stay there for now, and hope for an opportunity to arise. Personality: Industrial is considered rather sentimental for a machine; his core programme has evolved over the years, and he can now grasp basic emotions, and it is due to this reason that he is extremely greedy and power-hungry. He is highly intelligent and capable of taking slightly more holistic approaches at certain subjects; ironically, he is incapable of understanding that everybody thinks differently, and most of his arguments are sparked by his misunderstanding. However, his intelligence makes him very stubborn, as he believes that nobody is as clever as him, thus he thinks that everyone should listen to what he says. Weapon(s): Live wires that also double up as whips, heavy portable batteries, any spare electricity Power(s): -Industrial can fuse darkness and electricity together to do a number of things, primarily for hacking, as it allows him to break down firewalls much quicker than normal. He can also use it to stun opponents for a slightly longer period of time. -Industrial can sometimes physically materialise his firewall, depending on how much electricity he has, which he uses as a shield. It is most effective against other Thunder-types and physical attacks, although it struggles to stop magical attacks. He was odd as he gained his abbilities at a young age and as he got older loved to play war games that were developed in the Necromancer Tribes, such ass LUDUS LATRUNCULARIUS, a board game where both players controlled an army and had to make strategic movements across a board to slowly destroy and conquer the other persons army. It was the human equivalent of chess. He became so good with this and so intrigued in the outside world that he became a knight of Necromancy at the age of 30, the age when Necromancers are fully matured. Blue traveled the world of duel monsters and made many friends along the way, he was an aide to anyone who called him and was a great tactician for any tribe wanting more territory. But one day, he became tired of fighting and decided to pursue the course of peace, years of violence in him made him realize that peace was necessary so that all duel monsters can prosper. He was even one of the first signers and one of the contributes of the Treaty of Unification, representing the Necromancer sect of Duel Monsters. But now, ten years later at the age of 51 he has to work hard and stop the evil that threatens the peace he wanted so dearly to attain. Personality: Blue is noble and follows chivalry well, at least until they do something that can have no good outcome. He is a friendly monster that tends to get along well with others and no one really hates him, well except for his enemies. He's the one monster that you go to who is understanding, but fierce and trustworthy in battle. He is also rather short, not midget short but like Napoleon Short, this is why he is very proud and his power and mind capabilities compensate for his short stature. Weapon(s): Mainly his gauntlets which help him focus his power and a sword with a blade made out of a blue diamond-like material. Power(s): Blue can use his inner necromancer energy to create a focused ball/blast of necromancy at his opponent, he can also create a wave of it or a thin beam, all from his palm and are much stronger with his gauntlets on, but is still powerful without them. Blue can also counter a spell casted from an opponent and throw it back at them... using his gauntlets. He is also capable of sensing dark energy and Necromancer energy which allows him to tap into external sources for extra energy. Lastly he can turn his energy into a shield to deflect attacks and a smaller shield can actually levitate, allowing him to fly in a sense. check out the sig! Advertisement!!!!!
