seattleite
It's a practical set. The effect monsters have simple effects but a simple effective strategy. Stall, "level up", destroy or synch. There are some OP'd cards though: * Hidden Forest of Wolves's last effect is a crazy control card. In a wolf deck i might even argue better than solemn warning. * Wolf pack attack is OTK feeder and easy synchro. * Speaking of synchros.. if "wolf pack attack" remains unchanged, all of them, bar lucis, will be OP'd. Especially Ventas.... holy Crap that card is powerful. Also just a hint - type out the level instead of using asterisks - it makes it easier to read Link to comment
Cody Frost
Another wolf lover. I like their control abilites. They have great potential, but as stated before, some cards are OPed. The second effect of the Field Spell is quite OPed because it's kind of like Solemn except you can do it several times. Too powerful for words. Wolf pack attack can set up OTKs as stated before. Maybe switch the effect...to something less powerful. And then there are only 3 Synchros I'm worried about. Those three are Pyrus, Lucis, and Ventas. All three have overwhelming effects. Maybe instead of 2000 damage, make it 800; instead of 1500 life points, make it 1000; instead of returning 3 cards, make it return 1 card. You are still achieving a control archtype, but not so much that it completely overwhelms your opponent from making counter attacks. Link to comment
Darkest Hour
If a monster, other than a "Wolf" or "Wolfen" monster is Summoned, pay 1000 Life Points and destroy it. Any summon? In that case that means you can pay 1000 Life Points to stop anything from coming out and forcing the opponent to set cards to be destroyed, and they can't even Flip Summon either. Link to comment
