Yu Hansung
Now most of you have probably heard of Brink. It was overhyped by Bethesda Studios as the "end of the genre" and I'll be damned if it didn't do just that. It just sucks so much that it was pulled off in such a mediocre way. It was viewed as a sort of mix between Mirror's Edge, Borderlands, Modern Warfare, and Team Fortress 2 all wrapped together in an objective based multiplayer system. I have a feeling this game would be more enjoyable if the AI wasn't so ungodly horrible, the maps so unbalanced, or the fact that it takes about 10 hours to unlock everything. The customization is pretty interesting and extensive however but it doesn't fix the actual gameplay problems. But you can at least customize what body type your character has, his voice, and his clothes. At least the SMART system worked like a charm (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain). You could slide under tables and gates, Jump off a wall to grab a ledge, slide down a wall. If you can see it on the map, you can go there to an extent. There are still some boundaries but you have to look pretty hard to find them. It sucks that the multiplayer system is broken as well. You can't make a party and keep it through matches, there's an odd lag that feels more like the game is struggling to handle the information. Also, the designers must have had it in mind that the Defending team always has the advantage. You almost literally cannot play through this game in the multiplayer system if you are on the offense. In the end it's fun to slide under a table, get up, wall jump up to a ledge and throw a grenade in someone's face. Scores for the game if you need a numerical value: Replayability: 1/5 Graphics: 4.5/5 Gameplay: 3/5 Sounds and Music: 4/5 Overall: 2.5/5 Rent or Buy: Rent

Makο
That was just some shameless advertising, lol. A little thin on the details, bro. If I was someone who hasn't bought this game already and was looking to buy it, I wouldn't learn very much from here. And it gave the game a fairly bad vibe. I'll admit the game has many bad points in it, but overall, I still have fun playing it. Just try going into detail of every bad, AND good, thing in the game. Yu Hansung
Yeah....haven't frequented a forum in a long time so I'm not used to typing as much XD That might explain the lack of detail.

Yu Hansung
But yes, the bad vibe on the game in my review was intentional. I enjoy the game as well but there are SO many things that are wrong with it.
Makο
Well, if the game is so bad that you had to give it a bad vibe, you didn't really enjoy it. I just noticed the typo I made with "going" and "doing". xD
Yu Hansung
I enjoyed parts of it but overall it was more frustrating than fun.
Makο
The enjoyment of a game is measured by how you felt afterward. If you felt frustrated afterward, you either... A. Had a bad day at the game or B. Didn't enjoy the game.
Yu Hansung
Or C. Took 2 hours longer than I liked to at a certain mission because the enemy AI was so overpowered even on easy mode and my team's AI wouldn't do the one thing they were purposed for (draw the enemy away from the objective). Makο
Yeah, the AI sucks majorly. But Splash Damage said they were going to be patching the game constantly, and DLC is free! : D
Yu Hansung
Well, if they fix the issues I can see this being one of the best games I've ever played but at the moment, not really.
Makο
Give it time. Like Halo 2, it sucked before the update. Now Halo 2 is considered one of the best FPS multiplayer games... Of all time.
