Sorrow.

Tsu Hang was sitting on his throne looking upon all of the Mortal Kombat Tournament Kombatants. He finally stood up and smiled at all of the fighters, " Welcome! To the Mortal Kombat Tournament! As you all know I am Lord Tsu Hang, I will announce Mortal Kombat when ever I please." He started pacing in a circle still looking at all the Kombatants, " "You are to report to the Fighting Arena when told, you must listen to what I say, and above all stay alive." He laughed as if he was trying to intimidate the others, " If you have won all of your fights you will face the Legendary Shokan Warrior Goro!" Tsu Hang pointed at an entrance that lead to inside of a temple nearby the courtyard, the doors flew open and four arms clinged onto the door frame and out came a very large creature, Goro. Goro was almost humanoid but he was freakishly tall and he has four muscular arms. Goro roared at the contestants and was staring each one down as if he was about to kill one of them. Tsu Hang smiled at the Shokan with delight, " And if you are lucky enough to beat Goro then you shall face me in Mortal Kombat! If you prevail then you shall be crowned Mortal Kombat Champion! Good Luck!" Tsu Hang sat on his throne up straight and observing the crowd of Kombatants for a suitable match up. He pointed at a man with two different eye colors and a Tarkatan, " Schism you will fight against Morako!"

Amongst the observers, we see Scorpion and Raiden having a conversation with each other, " Thunder God! You have said that there could be a clue of my father's whereabouts in this tournament yet I do not sense his presence." Scorpion looked at Raiden with anger and seemed as if he had no patience for this Thunder God.

"Patience Scorpion, all will be revealed in time but for now we must focus on the tournament I sense that what has happened in the past could happen today, " Raiden said to Scorpion as he was observing the match between the Edenian and the Tarkatan. This Tsu Hang character seems vaguely familiar, he looks like a reincarnation of Shang Tsung, Raiden thought to himself.

Scorpion did not really care about the Thunder Gods conflict and ignored him. He looked around for any traces of his father and of the Lin Kuei warrior that Raiden has also promised about. Yet there was no trace of either of them, Scorpion decided to observe the match until further notice.

Meanwhile, Tundra was now landing in the harbor of Dragon Island. He is with Winter his trusted Lin Kuei comrade. " Winter, we must find Kuei Han and your creator. The man running this so called tournament could know where they are, also I must find the one who has killed Seiro," Tundra asked a man practicing his fighting where the arena was. The man pointed in the Northern Direction and told Tundra to follow this path until you reach a courtyard. Tundra thanked the man and set off with Winter. A few minutes later they were nearing the courtyard just as the man foretold. Then Tundra looked at Winter with a worried face, " Are you prepared, these fighters are the best there is they can ki-" Suddenly Tundra stopped cold in his tracks, he started sensing a very strong presence. He felt a corrupted soul that was filled with vengeance as he was nearing the wall. Much trouble will be ahead.

OOC: SO I am controling the fight with the random Tarkatan right?

IC: Schism stood in the group of fighters with his arms crossed, looking down towards the ground. He didn't care for this tournament, all he wanted to do was discover what happened to him and what kind of creature he had become. That's all he cared about, and he knew that someone out of all the Kombatants, someone knew something about him, and he would find out by becoming the Mortal Kombat Champion. Suddenly he heard his name being called, he let his arms hang as he looked up at Tsu Hang, his current "master" I guess you could say. Schism was acting as one of Tsu Hang's henchmen, and he was one not to be messed with, in hopes of discovering more about his new powers and his new form. Schism walked into the center ring, this would be a type of act to the tournament for all those new to it and those who weren't Tsu Hang's henchmen. However little did the Tarkatan know that Schism, was a skilled fighter and one of Tsu Hang's best.

Schism then faced his opponent in the center ring, a typical angry Tarkatan by the name of Morako. "Surrender now and I will spare you." Schism said as he got into his Kali stance. "Well, what will it be?"

The Tarkatan Morako stared down Schism and laughed, "Oh please, I will cut you up and show your organs to this entire room!" The Tarkatan said as he pulled out his blades and charged at Schism.

"Fool." Schism said to himself as he put one arm behind his back. When the Tarkatan was about to stab him, Dark matter appeared below Schism's feet and he fell through and the Tarkatan stumbled and almost fell over. Schism then appeared from the ceiling and began to rappidly kick Morako in the face, however Morako finally started to block and swung at him, however Schism flipped back and landed without a scratch on him.

"I'll be able to beat you with one hand behind my back." Schism smugly told Morako. This enraged Morako and he charged towards Schism, Schism then waited until Morako was about to take out his head, he ducked and stuck his arm out, being right out of the area of Morako's stomach, he then yelled "Augue!" the Tarkatan was blown back by the hit and then caught afire. Schism then slowly walked up to Morako, barely standing and turned to Tsu Hang, "Say it." Schism would wait for Tsu Hang to say "Finish Him".
(You can include the finish him and fatality reaction in your next post)
chism shoved his hand into Morako's lower torso, lifted him up, twisted his hand inside the tarkatan, takes out one broad sword, and throws Morako in mid air and cuts him in half from the bottom up.

Winter stepped off the Lin Kuei ship and onto the island harbour after Tundra, taking the time to look around. Winter wasn't like most other Lin Kuei warriors, usually they were chosen at birth and their identities kept secret that way but Winter was an exception mainly due to the fact that she was never born but created, as such she had no official identity so it was easy for the Lin Kuei to take her in, having already heard about her own exploits in Japan. She followed Tundra silently up the path keeping a constant eye out around her, she didn't trust this island and neither did she have any good feelings about its owner, Tsu Hang. It wasn't until Tunda paused suddenly that her attention shifted and a worried expression crossed her face.

"Something wrong?" She asked although knowing at least half the answer already.

She cast another glance around their surroundings, wondering if they were being watched.

****

Amongst the crowd of fighters a single kombatant stood out from those around him, were he not slouched over with his arms hanging by his sides like dead weights it was likely he would be spotted in the crowd with ease. The standing corpse watched the battle through the crowd, a jelous hunger coursing through him as he watched the bout end within moments. Something in his mind clicked as he watched the Tarkakan butchered by his opponent.

FATALITY

The word echoed within Korpse's head. He'd heard that word many times before, the last one being his very own death sentence. His rotten teeth grinded against each other and his single eye gazed on with a madenning glare. He wanted to be the one to fight, not to wait around whilst others proceeded through the ranks of the tournament ahead of him, that was the only purpose he had left now. Win the tournament. It mattered little that the realm he fought to defend had long since fallen, his mind was set no matter what.

( OOC: I forgot that Schism is one of his henchmen..)

Tsu Hang looked at his henchmen so eager for the final blow to be done. " Very well then. FINISH HIM!" Tsu Hang watched as Schism was tearing his opponent to pieces once Schism was finished Tsu Hang stood up from his throne and started clapping for him. " Well done Schism! Now return amongst the other contestants if you would," Tsu Hang smiled and looked amongst the crowd to see who would be next. But then a man with pitch black skin teleported in front of Tsu Hang

" Lord Tsu Hang, he is almost complete," The man said while bowing to him.

" Excellent, once he is finished we'll face him against one of his own kin!" Tsu Hang said as he was looking amongst the crowd. " Now begone I must worry about the tournament"

" As you wish master," The man said and vanished leaving a black smoke.

Raiden looked at Schism but then he heard somebody speak out his name but as he looked around nobody was speaking to him. He shall be one of the greatest fighters ever but Tsu Hang has him under his grasp, the voice in Raiden's head said. Raiden agreed with the voice and went over to Schism, " I must say you are a very skilled Kombatant, why are you in the likes of Tsu Hang though?" Raiden said as Scorpion was walking to him, " What is it Scorpion?" As Raiden said that he felt another presence coming this way, it was very cold yet powerful. That presence, it feels similar to Sub-Zero and Smoke it must be the Lin Kuei warrior which the voice in his head informed about, Raiden thought to himself as he saw Scorpion come this way. " I feel it as well, but mind you Scorpion if you face off against him do not kill him, defeat him if you must but he needs to be alive I believe he will play a big role in the future," Raiden informed Scorpion.

As Scorpion was watching Schism tear his opponent to pieces he felt an aura that sent chills down his back. He looked over at the door as if he was waiting for some one to come, which he was. I have not felt this presence since my clan's murder, it must be a Lin Kuei! Scorpion thought to himself. The match was finally over and Scorpion looked over at Raiden who seemed a bit troubled. He watched as Raiden was confronting Schism and started speaking with him but Scorpion had to ask Raiden if he wasn't the only one who felt the presence of the Lin Kuei. It seems as if Raiden has felt the presence as well, but then he looked at Raiden with anger, " Do not kill him?! Are you mad his clan has slaughtered mine! I want nothing but Vengeance."

Tundra snapped out of it and continued walking, " It is nothing." As he finally reached the gates he entered the courtyard and saw a couple of warriors having conversations and practicing. He looked around to see where the tournament was being held, then he heard shouts and grunts from a building to his left. He signaled Winter to follow him into the building. As he reached the building the Aura got stronger and stronger. When he reached the door he was unsure if he should enter, Calm down, you are here to find your brother and find the one who has killed him. He entered and saw a crowd watching over the fight, but on another side he saw a couple of warriors. A man with two different eye colors, a man with a pointed hat, and a Shirai Ryu Ninja. Tundra made a quick gasp and started staring at the Shirai Ryu ninja, " I thought they were dead!"

Scorpion looked over at the door and finally saw his opponent, the Lin Kuei Warrior. His eyes widened and he clenched his fist in hatred, " Lin Kuei..." He was about to head on over to confront the ninja but Raiden stopped him, he looked over at Raiden who shook his head in disapproval and Scorpion stood down. He calmed himself down but his eyes never left the Lin Kuei Warrior and the Lin Kuei did the same.

Dooga watched the fight from amongst the crowd. At first it seemed like it would be an even fight...until one of the fighters opened up a hold beneath his feet and appeared above his opponent. He quickly dropped from the ceiling and had him defeated. But he didn't stop there. He almost begged for the command to finish him. Once it was given, he quickly dispatched his opponent by slicing him in half. Dooga slowly shook his head at such obvious hunger for death. Of course, it was natural at a tournament like this. Either way, this was going to be tough.

(OOC: Eh. That's all I got right now.)

Winter looked doubtful as Tundra answered, she could feel something in the air around them, an anger like a raging fire, strong enough to be felt even from here. She said nothing however and followed Tundra to the main building, hearing shouts and cries from inside. Someone was fighting and it sounded brutal.

How pointless, she thought to herself The way these people waste away their lives for such petty reasons.

She did not voice her opinion though as she followed Tundra into the building, pausing to look about at the crowd of fighers and the dead Tarkakan on the floor.

What a waste,

She was interrupted by Tundra's outburst and looked about, following his gaze to the yellow-clad warrior. Winter's eyes narrowed slightly as the warrior made towards them but was stopped by another man wearing a straw hat. She glanced up at Tundra, noting the expression on his face.

"Do you know him?" She asked.

She looked back at the Shirai Ryu ninja, seeing a burning anger in his blank eyes and guessing he was the one she could feel all the way out in the courtyard.

Suddenly, a figure appeared from behind Raiden. "Lord Raiden, it is an honor to meet you." It was Lee. He was behind the rest of the combatants and watched the first match. He was horrified at first, but then realized that it was a choice, and choices are nothing more of how one's life will come about. Lee bows down to Raiden. He rises once again. He then looks at the Shirai Ryu ninja, and a small flash of light saw a hallucination, a hallucination of the ninja's father, the previous incarnation, also known as Scorpion. "I assume you have come here regarding your father? You appear to look just like him. Why is that?"

He looked over at the man behind him, " And it is an honor to mee-". He paused for a second because he suddenly felt a presence that he has not felt for a long time. "-t you, I apologize you felt very familiar." The man in front of him appeared to be Liu Kang but this man's aura felt different.

Scorpion looked behind him and saw a man greet Raiden but it did not matter to Scorpion and he continued staring down Tundra. But then the man confronted him and asked if he was looking for his father, " How do you know? I look like my father because I want to honor him in Kombat. "

Tundra stayed opposite of where the Shirai Ryu Ninja was to keep a safe distance. He looked over at his curious pupil and answered her question , " I do not know of him but I know of his clan, a century ago the Lin Kuei went on a rampage and slaughtered many clans in Earth Realm... Including his" Tundra put his hands inside his cloth vest and took out a medallion. He looked down at the brass medallion with doubt," This Medallion was taken from the leader of the clan by one of the greatest Lin Kuei Warriors, Bi Han." He looked down at it and gave it to Winter, " But he gave it to his brother Kuei Liang before he was murdered in the tournament by the man who owned the medallion before him, Scorpion. This set off the rage between Scorpion and Kuei Liang or as he was called Sub-Zero. At their final battle Sub-Zero had won but as he was about to kill Scorpion they were attacked by hundreads of Tarkatan soldiers, Sub-Zero was outmatched until Scorpion came to his aid. Both Sub-Zero and Scorpion slaughtered all of the Tarkatan that had ambushed them. They settled their differences and became a very deadly alliance. But that was a 100 years ago, Sub-Zero has passed but since Scorpion is a spawn of the Nether Realm he is alive. He would visit the Lin Kuei temple occasionally to pay debt to Sub-Zero but he has not returned for months which caused suspicion. Seiro's other objective was to find Scorpion but as you know he was killed." Sub-Zero explaind to Winter, " I fear that this Shirai Ryu warrior has recently rose from the Nether Realm so he is oblivious to the alliance between us."

Scorpion was staring at Tundra keeping his temper from over coming him. But as Tundra revealed the medallion that belonged to his clan Scorpion became infuriated and lost all sense of control. He was now walking towards Tundra but yet again Raiden stopped him, " Stand out of my way Thunder God I will destroy you"

" If you are to fight then you shall dispute this over Mortal Kombat." Raiden said to Scorpion. Raiden looked up to Tsu Hang, " Tsu Hang I request that the next match will be Scorpion against the Lin Kuei Warrior over there."

" What? That is not Scorpion," Tundra said to himself with a very worried voice. But then he looked closer and saw that he looked very much like Scorpion and had his anger.

Tsu Hang looked down at the conflict amongst the two warriors, he smiled with delight," Very well..." Suddenly he noticed that there was another Lin Kuei warrior amongst the crowd, Winter. " The next match will be Scorpion vs. Tundra and Winter!" He laughed at his clever intent and sat down stroking his beard waiting for the Kombatants to be prepared.

Tundra looked over at his comrade then at Scorpion, " Winter you must fight, if it was up to me I would have not selected you to partake in such a fight. I advise you to keep on your toes, the Shirai Ryu are quick and lethal. " Tundra stepped forward staring at Scorpion. " Why must you fight me? Your clan has settled our differences with the Lin Kuei!"

Scorpion became interested that he would defeat not just one but two Lin Kuei he stepped up staring down both of them. Then he stomped forward and yelled at Tundra's foolish remark that there was an alliance between their clans, " Do not lie to me Lin Kuei! Vengeance shall be mine!" Scorpion got into his fighting stance and prepared to fight.

" Fine! I shall not regret your defeat!" Tundra said as he got into his fighting stance. Once he looked up at Scorpion he saw something that troubled him so. There was a faded image of the Original Scorpion next to the other Scorpion. Then this is Scorpion's Son, Tundra thought to himself but still was focused on his opponent he looked at Winter and nodded his head.

Tsu Hang stood up from his throne and announced the words, " Fight!"

Scorpion and Sub-Zero started rushing towards each other until they became face to face.

Lee then put his hand on Raiden's shoulder. "You say I look familiar, yet it seems we have never met before, even though my appearance may deceive you at first." he began. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lee. As an infant I was found by Martial Arts master Bo' Rai Cho, who intended for me to train under his ways for 25 years. However, his attitude made me shun him, and I decided to train myself in his ways. It was impossible. I just didn't know what to do. That was when a miracle came upon me. I was brought in by Fu-" he was then interrupted by Scorpion, Tundra and Winter beginning a fight. When he saw Tundra and Winter, he saw another hallucination of two other fighters, known as Sub-Zero and Frost. It was strange. He was still not used to the fact that he can now see what previous fighter these combatants would separately represent. He then turned his attention back to Raiden. "My apologies. I was merely distracted by two hallucinations from the two fighting Scorpion, hallucinations that represented the names Sub-Zero and Frost. I'm not sure who they are, but I know they are somehow past incarnations of the two I'm seeing now."

Winter listened intently to Tundra's story, frowning as he went on and revealed the details of the Shirai Ryu's demise and their relationship with past Lin Kuei warriors. It didn't sound like a particularly good history, even if they did now have an alliance she could see why the warrior before them would bear a grudge against them. She took the medallion from Tundra, examening it briefly before glancing briefly again at the Shirai Ryu warrior. She could tell this would not end well, she knew all too well that those consumed by rage and vengence are swayed little by reason and would gladly destroy all others in their path till they are satisfied.

She looked down at the medallion Tundra handed her for another minute before tying it to the end of one of katana and letting it dangle freely out of the way and turned back to face Tsu Hang in time for him to announce the next bout, slightly surprised that it would be both her and Tundra against the very person they where just talking about. She cast a suspicious glance round, her eyes falling on the Thunder God before following Tundra to the fighting area.

As Winter had suspected, Scorpian was not convinced by Tundra's explanation of their clans' alliance and seemed intend on defeating them both, possibly even killing them. She positioned herself behind Tundra and slightly to his side so she was at a better angle should the conflict turn her way and made ready for the fight herself, getting into a fighting stance and raising one arm close to the handle of one of her katana so she was ready to draw it if need be. She cast a quick glance at Tundra and a nod from him signalled he was ready.

Winter did not like the idea of ganging up on a single warrior but if she was going to get any information out of this tournament she would have to follow the rules, at least as far as she would allow anyway. As it was she didn't intend to underestimate the Shirai Ryu warrior, Scorpian, either, as it seemed very likely he was perfectly capable of taking on two opponent's at once...He certainly seemed confident he could at least.

"Fight!"

Once the command came Winter watched as Tundra and Scorpian charged at each other and followed suit, keeping behind Tundra and darting out to the side in an attempt to flank Scorpian. A layer of frost built up around her arms as she ran until it hardened into a claw of ice which she used to aim a blow at Scorpian's side, hitting him in the right area would stun him for a moment, allowing Tundra enough time to pull off an attack of his own.

****

Korpse's teeth, or the few remaining, ground in frustration as he watched another fight begin without him and his fists tightened about his ancient, rusted spiked knuckle weapons. He couldn't stand waiting around and watching others fight instead of him, he wanted to fight now and he was not taken to waiting for his challenge. A frustrated growl escaped his shrivelled lips, about the only sound he could produce since his own vocal cords had rotted away long ago.

Tyran watched in awe as the first battle ended and the fatality went through by his fellow henchmen Schism. "Man first match and already a Fatality, I can't wait to fight! I knew Schism would pull through for the first match!" Tyran was punching the air in excitement. "C'mon! C'mon!" he turned his head to see, what else, more ninjas. "Damn how many ninjas are here?" There were several but there was only two he recognized well, Sub-Zero and Scorpion, at least their decedents. Funny to think that the Scorpion became the second Sub-Zero's guardian, but now look at the decedents, Fighting each other instead of aiding. The force that Sub-Zero and Scorpion once had as a team was amazing and was what influenced Tyran. At least that was what Schism told him about the two. Tyran wasn't nearly as good with history as Schism but that was fine with him. Tyran then looked over to see a hot girl wearing a turquoise armor with short hair. "Hmm, maybe Tyran will get some action after all." Tyran said laughing to himself as he gawked at the girl(Winter).

Scorpion aimed for Tundra's face and Tundra did the same yet both of them prepared for it, and locked hands staring in each others eyes before Scorpion kicked him away. As Scorpion was going to unleash his chain he saw as Winter went in for his kidney. Scorpion did not counter and his kidney was in much pain but he grabbed Winter by the neck and took out his Katana before he was knocked away by Tundra who slid on ice and threw a fist at Scorpions face. Scorpion got knocked back but he immediately vanished before he fell to the ground, he appeared quickly behind Winter and he kneed her in the spine. Then he teleported about 5 feet away from Tundra before launching himself rapidly at him. Tundra stepped to the side and slammed his elbow down on Scorpion. Scorpion roared in pain as he fell he cut Tundra's arm spilling his blood. Tundra paused in pain which allowed Scorpion to teleport away and punched Tundra in the chest causing him to fly back. But Tundra recovered quickly and took out a frozen sword, Scorpion was not intimidated and teleported behind Tundra to punch him once more.

Tundra was ready for the next attack. He made his legs frozen and did a backflip to kick Scorpion away. He looked over at Winter and then back at Scorpion who was on the ground staring at Tundra even more angered than before, " Remember that attack?"

" You imitate my father and disgrace him, you shall pay!" Scorpion shouted and flicked his chain at Tundra who was unprepared. The Chain impaled Tundra's chest but not fully yet it was enough for Scorpion to reel him in and stab his katana into Tundra's arm. Scorpion sheathed his sword and started pounding on Tundra who had a hard time trying to block. Scorpion kept punching and kicking away until he slammed both his fists in Tundra's chest causing him to fly away.

Tundra groaned in pain for a second but he ignored the pain and slid back to Scorpion and attacked him in a similar matter. He finally ended by freezing Scorpion and kicking him away. Scorpion got back and flew right into Tundra who was prepared and threw out his fist but suddenly Scorpion vanished leaving an image of himself and Tundra got punched in the face by Scorpion who ingeniously teleported away before impact. Tundra got back up and shook off the pain, he slid on his legs and used a take down on Scorpion which caused him to fall. Tundra stood up quickly and stomped on Scorpions chest before lifting him up and throwing him across the room.

Raiden listened intently to Lee and nodded, " I see, you resemble Liu Kang as the others resemble past champions." Raiden looked at Lee once more who was emitting such power, " So you have said that Lord Fujin has taught you? I have not heard from his since the last Mortal Kombat Tournament, how is he?" Raiden said as he was watching the fight. As I feared, Scorpion still wants to destroy both of them. He must be stopped, Raiden thought to himself as he was still talking to Lee.

"I'm not sure." he began. "I haven't seen him for 5 years. The last thing he said was that my training wasn't complete until I have obtained his very weapon, the Devastator. He gave me this piece of armor to prepare for when it happens." He showed Raiden the armor on his arm with the unknown language on it, resembling runes. "I believe that the language on this is the Language of the Gods. It's possibly a riddle." He then looked at the battle. It was starting to get too intense for Lee's eyes to bare. He then turned his attention back to Raiden. "Do you believe you can translate what it means? This could help me greatly, even though I have a sword of my own." Why did I see Raiden as a more dark figure? he thought. Was it something to do about his past? I'll have to look in to it if I can.
