After the Struggle

*She seemed relieved to see him come to and smiled up at him as he jumped to his feet. She seemed really happy that he was ok and stood up not too long after he got up, her steadying herself from her somewhat numb legs. After a few moments, she edged up to him as he seemed deep in thought to her. She waved her hand in front of his face but he didnt really seem to notice, so she turned from him and looked around for a bit. She turned to face him immediately as he spoke to her, her having a huge grin on her face. She nodded to him in agreement of leaving the graveyard and grabbed his hand tightly before pulling her along with him. She stopped right in front of the barrier, her face now flushed with red from holding his hand, and grinned up at the barrier. Soon afterward, she pulled him quickly through the barrier seeming very happy. But before he could have time to react, she grabbed hold of him tightly and teleported them to her house in Raibel. Her house was quiet, clean, and snuggly warm which was everything a house should be. It gave no reason that would drive her out of it and make her not want to sleep in it. Yet, she preferred to sleep in the Bosho No Rei where there was no warm fluffy bed and a snug home. She motioned for him to be quiet as they stood in her living room, since after all it was night time. Soon after, she turned from him happily and made her way upstairs quietly. She rounded into the bedroom and pulled open the trunk at the foot of her bed and dug through it for some dry clothes. After she had found a pair, she tossed them on the bed and started to change. Her wet clothes made somewhat of a squishy flop as they hit the wooden floor.*

Sario walked forward, with a very horrified expression. He kneeled down and gentily picked up a few bloody-dead flowers. He got back up and walked further into the garden, until he came to a cliff edge.

Then he saw a sight that horrified him much more. A pile, no a mountain of dead and burnt bodies lay in his sight now. He looked at the body-mountain with the same horrific expression...Who would do such a thing?...he thought to himself. He looked to his left and saw a temple, covered in burn marks and blood-stains. He walked towards it. When he got to the entrance he opened the door and saw a nearly empty room, the only thing inside was a corpse. According to how the corpse looked, it was the corpse of the ruler of Artarius. He kneeled down by the corpse and a tear dropped from his eye. Ino walked in, he could tell because her walking gave a thunderous boom when she walked on the blood-stained tile floor.

-"I can't believe it. Everything, not a single soul, lives anymore. Not even your father..." She added and nodded towards the ruling-dressed corpse. Sario then looked down at the poor life-less figure on the floor, then he looked up. He then saw another body, heavily mutilated and posted against a wooden cross. This temple seemed to be the church of Artarius. The body resembled a woman, but Sario could somewhat recognize her, she seemed familiar, dispite her heavily mutilated body.

-"Ino, who is that?" He asked nodding towards the female corpse hung on the cross.

-"I can't tell, or I don't remember...She does seem familiar somehow." Ino responded. Sario looked back down...Yes, and why is she so familiar? Did I know her?...he thought to himself.

Leon looked on at the terrible sight. He saw the bloody bodies of the Artarians. The burned buildings were in shambles and a large amount of rubble in the streets. "Wow", Leon said jokingly, "quite a place you got here, Sario. Who's your decorator?" Nobody laughed. "But, seriously, what went on here? Do your people have any enemies, or maybe it was a disease. We should look for some answers."

Sario said nothing, he didn't know the answers to any of those questions. He just sat on his knees by the corpse of suuposedly his dead father, and infront of the familiar female corpse that hung before them.

Then, unexpectadly, his vision flashed...He jerked his head up, and his eyes went into a trance. His mind, his vision, flashed a very big memory. He saw an angelic figure, but without wings, then a younger version of himself. The angelic figure wore white clothing and was crowned with a silver tiara. The younger version of himself wore a black suit. He understood it completely...His vision went back to the present. And he collapsed into the tile floor, along with Ino, who both made a thunderous noise as their bodies hit the marbel tile.

Leon watched silently as Sario seemed to fall into a trance. He was startled when Sario collasped on the floor, along with his dragon. He went over to get the two of them someplace they could rest, with help from the others. As he carred Sario's body he remarked, "Those people in the church must have been your parents I guess the means the two of us are both orphans." Leon thought back to the statue of this father in the shrine. The two unconsious bodies dragged on the floor, getting smeared with blood.

Sario opened his eyes weakly. But he sat up quickly. He looked around, they were sitting in what looked like a graveyard. Ino was still dozed however and he wondered how he was awake when she was not.

-"My father, the Shakari people. Dead, I'm the last one..." Sario said to himself. He looked up at Leon. "And that woman, that woman, was not just an ordinary person in my life. I finally realised what this extra pain was. That woman was my wife." He looked down, and saw his reflection in a puddle of water. It was a dark appearence, his blackened hair waved like ash trying to excape into the wind. His eyes were dim and yellow with a blood-red outline..

"I cant exactly say i know how you feel, but i've gone through something pretty close to this. A while back, when the Dark War was in the full-swing. Those fiends... my father fought them off..., but they just kept coming.... My sister, My mother. I couldn't help them... Im not a widower, so i dont know what that's like, but i know a little about loss." Leon looked from Sario, to the headstones, to the rest of the city. "This places gives me the creeps. Like someone is watching us..."

Sario looked around. "It's the ghosts and angels of the dead Shakari's, they always wonder around the place they were killed until they are avenged." He said informatively.."I may have lost my memory, but as a Shakari, I cannot forget the laws of being one. Criminal Shakari become ghosts forever though. While the pure hearts become ghosts until their spirits are avanged. Then they become angels. But there is a third afterlife. For those who sacrifice themselves for a cause. Like martyrs. Usually it's soldiers who become Martyrs. But these people did not fight, they were massacred. Being the only one left. There was a law, that would only abide to living Shakari. For all the dead Shakari spirits, a living one will become stronger when needed strength. But the only thing is, You have to find someway af activating this ability. And no one but the first of my kind has been able to do that." Sario explained everything vividly and clearly. "I know this stuff, because all Shakari are borned with the full understanding of the laws. And these laws are protected by a mind barrier, so this knowledge can never be lost."

"So things spirits won't harm us right?" Leon asked, "They still make me uncomfortable, so i'll just use my mother's magical pendant, it wards off evil ghosts." He took out a necklace from his pocket and put it around his neck. It had a black jewel infront of it.

-"There's no need for it, these spirits can't harm us. And you can only come into contact of the ones you personally knew. I'm not sure which ones I knew and didn't. But I know my parents will probably come and find me. And my wife, but I don't remember her name." Sario loked back at his reflection in the puddle of water. He thought about his first flash-back. Then he stood up, and walked towards the church. "I need to find out something, maybe I could learn the name of my wife, and the name of my father..." but Ino interrupted him.

-"I know your father's name. It was Anomu Ojima. He was the ruler of the Shakari. And your mother was Ino-Koa Ojima. She was the one who wrote the Shakari laws. But your wife's name is a blur to me somehow."

-"Thank you Ino."

Sario stopped at the blood-stained gate of the church. He then looked puzzled, he had noticed something that wasn't there before. A golden necklace, though stained with blood and dirt, was hanging on the gate door-handles. He looked curiously at it, then grabbed it into his hand. The necklace had an engraved symbol on it. He did not know what it meant though.

"alright how do you supose we, hay!" Alan had barly enough time to duck out of the way of this new threat. "looks like were not alone. gearfried, if that's your name, i'll handle this guy. you work on the statue." he didn't have to much time too think as the new enemy swung violently at him. mabye i should even the odds." Alan reached for his wing and pulled it right out of it's socket. only there was no blood and the wing in his hands had turned into a wing shaped sword. "Now, Bring It!!!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Near Sario and Leon- a voice rose from the grave yard behind Sario and Leon. "it seems you have lost something," on a grave with a cross on it stood a brown ratty robed figure with a sheid on his back. his face was over shadowed by his robe, so it was hard to make out. "am i correct?"

Sario did not pay attention to the stranger, all he cared about was the mysterious gold pendent he had found. When he cleaned the dirt and blood off, it shined a purplish glow. He could not take his eye off of the glowing necklace. His eyes changed from the dirty yellow to a very vibrant violet. His mind was completely blank.

"Be careful," Leon warned, his own necklace glowing a dark red. "Do you even know what that thing is?" he pointed his sword at the medallion warily. "I dont trust it."

Sario began to stand up and then walk into the church. His thought and vision were still blurred. He walked into the middle of the grand hall and then he put the necklace around his neck. In an instant, his body began to glow with a very vibrant violet aura. His hair stood and waved around as if a very dense power were surging through him. His eyes began to glow so brightly that it nearly blinded everyone in the room. Ino tried to stop her master, but was pinned down as if by a gravitational force.

Sario, who was now glowing even more vibrantly than ever, now levitated off the ground.

The aura erupting from Sario was filling the room with streams and bursts of twilight.

The erupting waves of twilight began to stop, as Sario fell to the ground. Dust was lifted into the air as he landed with a great thud. Ino lay unconsious from the tremendous pressure. When the dust cleared, Sario looked different. Where there was a dark-purplich long-jacket, was now black wings, folded, those that resembled an Angel's wings.

Sario lay there now unconsious and inert. The twilight aura still shrouded him.

OOC: I've been away for quite a while' date=' (sorry for that, vacation with the family) but I've catched up as good as I can. If I got it right, I'm still in the forest outside Sogen?

[/quote']

OOC: That's right. Axel's in a village full of Amazons, so you're all alone in the forest now. Sorry we didn't wait for you!

With Reciou:

He was startled at her enthusiasm, all the way as she teleported him to her house. He nodded silently as she motioned for him to stay quiet, and looked around curiously as she made her way upstairs. "Wow, this is the first time I've seen this place in one piece..." he said quietly to himself, admiring the knick-knacks adorning the shelves. As he looked around however, he heard the voice again speak to him. So...What fiendish little plot are you cooking up in that measly little brain of yours, hm? He fixed his eyes on the stairs, making sure Reciou wasn't coming back down before he answered this voice. "Who...what are you? Why are you taunting me and trying to place evil thoughts in my head?" The voice chuckled, amused by his sudden chivalry. Don't tell me you actually have feelings for this little girl!? If I remember correctly, you wanted her dead long ago... "That was a long time ago! I no longer wish death upon anyone!" That's a lie, and you know it...Now, we won't kill her just yet; we can use someone of her power...That is, until "you know who" shows up, then we'll kill them both at the same time! How's that sound? "But what if he never shows up? Then what?" Well, then you've got a nice little spellcaster that can serve as your personal bodyguard and servant... With that last comment, the voice disappeared into the caverns of his mind. He sighed unhappily, and waited for Reciou to return.

OOC: It's ok' date=' I've catched up now. I didn't expect you to wait for me, either. Two weeks is a long time. But Talon and Axel were separated from each other when the Amazons took him, right?

[/quote']

OOC: Yeah, we'll go with that...We can say Talon went to go get some supplies to help him, but got back too late...Or something like that....BTW, LoT's getting intense!

OOC: That's reasonable. On the matter of LoT, next chapter will feature a character you have seen before that only appeared in two chapters. Even though Jonah's time-traveling really makes it hard to figure everything out, it's a thing I've always wanted to have in a story.

Talon walked across the lushy ground, his feet mildly pushing down a thin layer of moss.

- Sage, I have the-

He was shocked. Axel was gone. He looked around, but couldn't see any trace of the Dark Red Enchanter. Talon quickly knelt on the grass, and drew a Hyureboard in a piece of exposed soil. While he did so, he began to chant.

- Gods of the Hyure, spirits of the past, give me the power to see what is beyond this world!

He closed his eyes, and when he opened them he almost fell backwards from shock.

The spirit of the World itself was twisted. A dark matter tainted the air around him. Strings of its' power could be seen all around him, thickening the air.

Sario woke back up in the cemetary, well he stood up with his eyes still closed. He walked to a cliff edge, where the real Dark Lake was and still with his eyes closed. Leon, the AdeCemine people, and the stranger followed him. When he reached the edge of the cliff he turned around and opened his eyes to look at them. His eyes started at a vibrant violet and then changed into the regular darkened-yellow they were before. He smiled at them in a sly and michevious way. Then, with sheer power at it's fullest, wings appeared on Sario's back and he flew up so quickly that it sent a shockwave towards the ground and it shook the 3 others. He flew up high and inhaled a large gulp of air. Then, both of his hands started to glow with some sort of semi-invisible aura. He aimed his hands towards Leon and the AdeCemines. And somethine fast and semi-invisible shot from his hands and hit the ground right infront of them. But it did not knock them back, instead, it sent sound waves crashing everywhere. A very high pitched and loud sound entered their ears and then a flash of light entered their eyes, the stranger was uneffected by the sound for his hood was too tight, but he was also blinded. And just as quickly as rising up, Sario dove down, and flew at the stranger, he reached his hand around the strangers neck and flew into a pinning potision against a dead, yet still very sturdy tree. His eyes fixed upon the stranger and his free hand glowing vibrantly with a violet aura now.
