After the Struggle

[Umbra]

Talon watched Sario fall asleep next to a tree. This is my chance. Sario's pet dragon, Ino, had interested him earlier, and so he walked over to it and knelt beside it.

- Why,hello there, little dragon. No need to worry, I'm a friend of your master.

Ino looked at him in a strange way, then nodded briefly. Talon opened up his inner eye, and gazed upon the dragon. Inside it, he could see a great mass of webs, all attached everywhere. It was a Conjuration, a simple, yet effective spell. Yet, there was something more to the spell, and Talon plunged into the dragon's mind. There, he saw it. An orb of golden weave, neatly attached to the webs around it. It was an Alteration, a spell that allowed the creature to change it's looks and body mass. Talon nodded, then plunged out of the dragon and returned to his own body.

 

Then, he fell asleep on the ground.

Gearfried & Gromarg still waged on; both not backing down & giving there all. "Take this!!!", yelled out Gearfried. His blade glowed and unleashed a powerful energy blade strike at Gromarg. Gromarg slashed through the attack and unleashed his energy blade strike at Gearfried. Gearfried did the same. Both opponents were in a stand off.

 

Meanwhile, the battle still went on with Draken & CytoGuanine. "Cyto Claw!", yelled CytoGuanine. His attack looked like a blue energy claw swipe. Draken dodged the attack. Again, CytoGuanine used his Cyto Claw attack. Draken dodged that too. "I got him CytoGuanine! Use your atack once more!", said AdeUracil. AdeUracil cast a spell over Draken; he was unable to move. With a final power strike, CytoGuanine used his Cyto Claw to finish the job. Draken was done for, unable to move to dodged the attack. This was the end for him.

 

Then from out of nowhere, a red energy blast was launched towards AdeUracil. She lost her focused keeping Draken frozen and was able to dodge the attack. With that, Draken barely was able to dodge CytoGuanine's attack. "WHAT THE!? Where did that came from!?", asked AdeUracil. "Oh come no AdeUracil, now you out of all people know that this battle was unfair for poor Draken.", said the stranger who was standing at the top of the cliff, watching the whole battle. Everyone paused to what they were doing to see who it was. "It's been along time my dear old friends", said the stranger. "You... ThyAdemine... How dare you show yourself again after all these years!", said AdeUracil.

 

ThyAdemine leaped from the cliff and landed in front of Gromarg. "What is the hold up Gromarg!? You were suppose to have these troops at the castle already. The Master is getting restless & angry with you."

[Careless Whisper]

Ino was confused of what Talon did, though she didn't really care, she was sleepy and she dozed off. Fading back into Sario's skin. Sario, though still fast asleep, was grimacing to the pain in his left side, the smack that Hazel put on Ino did a large ammount of damage to Ino's wing, thus doing the same ammount of damage to him.

Ino was formed at the same time that Sario was born. They are both connected spiritually and physically. Sario's father did the honors of naming his dragon, just like his grandfather named his father's campanion, who was infact a silver fang. While his mother, named Sario. Sario's father named Ino after Sario's mother, Ino-Koa Ojima. And Sario was named after his great grandfather, Sario-Tenoa Ojima.

Sario, still fast asleep, dreaming of his mother and father, longing to be with them again, still grimaced at his side.

[Megayanma]

"Ah, yes, my appologies." Gromarg said with a bow and a flourish. He teleported away along with his entire army.

[Wicket]

The Brigadier General had sheathed his blade, the massive beast on his knees. It unleashed a massive ball of energy in its hands and fired it at him. He lept above it and punched it in the face, as a massive explosion rang through the air, leaving half of Idunia caught in smoke.......

[Element Guardian]

The army vanished, only ThyAdemine was left. "As for you three, I bid you farewell."

 

"You can't be serious.", said AdeUracil.

 

"You're not going any where", said CytoGuanine. He charged into ThyAdemine. ThyAdemine quickly teleported out of here, just as the Gagagigo Army did. "RAAA!!! He got away."

 

"And we were so close. Alright you two, let's get back to the base. AdeUracial, will you do the honors?", said Gearfried.

 

AdeUracil used her magic to create a portal to head back home. While she was doing that, Gearfried glowed. This caused his armored pieces to regenerate right back onto him. He was now once again an Iron Knight. The three of them step into the portal and returned back to base.

[Megayanma]

The army appeared back in the Dark World. "What did you need us for, ThyAdemine, old friend?" Gromarg asked in a silky voice.

[Careless Whisper]

Sario woke up from his slumber to find that Talon was already setting up to start pressing onward. The pain in his side had gone away. He got up to get his stuff together, slightly dazed from tireness. His ring flashed a small bright dot into his eyes, and at once he woke up all together, eyes turned firy red, and a flaming sword materialized in his right hand, he began to look around, like he senced something near...

"You know the reason! Do not play dumb with me Gromarg! The master knows what you have been doing now these days. He is not pleased. And, when he is not pleased, I am not happy. Now, explain yourself!", said ThyAdemine.

 

Then, one Gagagigo troop came up and told off ThyAdemine. "Hey, don't talk to Lord Gromarg like that. He will destroy you!", said the troop. ThyAdemine quickly turned his head towards the troop "Silence!!!" ThyAdemine threw a red energy orb to the Gagagigo troop and the troop went flying.

Later, the Gearfried & his companions returned to the base. "Next time Gromarg, you're mine.", said Gearfried. "I wonder what is the reason ThyAdemine & Gromarg are working together?", asked CytoGuanine. "I don't know but, if you ask me, with those two together, they will for sure cause trouble. Any ideas on how we can stop these two Gearfried?", asked AdeUracil. "No, not one. First, we have to figure out what they are planning.", responded Gearfried.

 

Then, Grepher came running towards them. "Sir, sir! You must come quickly to the base! Immediately!", said Grepher.

 

"What is it?"

 

"We found some one that resembles best from the mural in the shrine!"

 

"What are you talking about?"

 

"Sir, our leader has return!"

 

Gearfried was stunned. "Take me to this person now!"

 

The group went into the base.

"You mean that grand fool Ha Des? Him, my master?" Gromarg now stood up to his full height, which was about a foot taller than ThyAdemine. "I'd very much like it if the little insignificant fact that I used to work for him did not get let out!" He yelled at ThyAdemine.

OOC: Sorry I haven't been able to get on recently...Just having some problems getting on a computer. Anyway, lets see if I can get this started again...

 

The tall man had watched as Reciou took off running from him. A sly smile spread across his face as he walked slowly after her, knowing that he'd catch her eventually. Meanwhile, Axel had continued searching for Reciou, along with Talon. "I don't see the other three energy signatures anymore..." he said to Talon worriedly. "...That means either they teleported away, or they're dead...Which would also mean that the girl is in big trouble..." They eventually reached the edge of the forest, on the border going into Sogen. Axel looked around nervously, saying to himself, "I swear, if you harm her, I'll kill you....Litmus...."

 

Back in the village:

Inside the shrine, which was dedicated to the bravest and boldest of heroes ever to walk the plains of Idunia, stood two figures. One was Balter, the Frontier Wiseman, strategist and fortuneteller of the warrior village. The other, whose mind was shrouded in a dark cloud of amnesia, gazed at the weapons, armor, and murals that were painted on the walls of the inner sanctum of the shrine, which depicted the noble warriors that fought for the against the forces of darkness. In the center of the shrine, set a painting of an armored warrior, accompanied by a female mage, stood with a magic sword, piercing through the darkness of despair. Above the mural, hanging from the wall, rests the very sword that was held in the hand of the mighty warrior in the painting. The stranger looked at the paintings and the sword in awe. "That.....was me?" he asked the mage to his side. "Yes, master Dex....though you may have lost your memories of all that has happened, I believe that the answer to all the confusion lies within your sword." Balter pointed at the sword on the wall. "Your sword is infused with the powers of light and darkness. That power may be just what it would take to awaken your lost memories." The man stepped forward, thinking of what the wiseman had told him. "So....If I touch the sword....." he said, raising his hand to the hilt of his sword, "....I'll remember everything?"

[Careless Whisper]

Sario caught up with Axel and Talon, his fire sword still held tightly in his left hand. His eyes still showed firy red. "We aren't alone here, someone is near. Or more like something." He said. "We might want to be careful."

*She hurriedly grabbed Hazel from the air while still looking for Axel at the edge of the forest line. She stopped for a moment to listen for him before continuing on. After a few moments she stopped again and squeezed Hazel tightly, making him cry out in pain loudly for several minutes before loosening her grip.* "I hope Axel heard that... I wonder where he is..." She thought to herself. *She tightly gripped Hazel again, making him cry out in pain louder this time. She looked around quickly, her noticing that Litmus had been following her. After a few moments of rest, she began to run along the forest line back the way she had come from in the first place. She looked back at Litmus several times as he followed her which only made her more frantic. Meanwhile, Hazel finally understood her plan and crawled up her shoulder to cry out again for Axel. As she looked back once more to see if Litmus was still following her, she crashed into Axel and fell to the ground. She looked up at Axel from the ground as she sat on poor Hazel who had been knocked off her shoulder during the run in with Axel. Her breathing was somewhat frantic and she looked flustered as if she had been chased by some horrid monster.* "Axel..." *She had thought quickly to herself before scrambling to her feet and hiding behind him. A few moments later Hazel got up and shook the dirt off before running up to Reciou's feet, him seeming a little out of it from the collision. She soon after picked him up and brushed him off before glancing over at Sario and Talon once and then looking up at Axel silently.*

Once Sario noticed her crash into Axel, his dragon quickly hid back inside of him, not forgetting about what happened earlier. Sario wasn't really concerned that much about her though, he was concerned about something else. Something coming towards the group, and very quickly. "Something's coming this way, and it's not a spellcaster. It's something else, something I can't identify." He quickly said, his fire sword held firmly in his hand.

[Element Guardian]

The group arrived in the shrine. "There he is sir. Just like I showed you.", said Grepher.

 

"Good work Grepher. You are dismissed.", said Gearfried.

 

"Thank you sir." With that, Grepher left to return back to his post.

 

"It's been a long time Dex. Welcome back. Do you still remember me and your friends? What I got from Grepher, he says that you don't rember a thing. Ar you okay?"

"What if that was the case Gromarg, what would you do then? Will you pride be degrated? Oh, how I would love to see that. Especially in front of your men. I wonder how would you react if the whole world knew that the great & terrible Gromarg once worked under the rule of Ha Des? What would you do to me?", said ThyAdemine as he laughed evilly.

 

"Well, that's besides the point. As you have already known, after the defeat Ha Des, everyone, including his alliances, armies, henchmen, & so on, went there separate ways. And already you are thinking why did I say master if we do not even serve one? Here is the point I want to get across from you. How would you feel if you joined me and this time we serve under the Rule of the Dark World? Now, bear with me, since the time of the Dark War, The Dark World Army proved what powerful they possed. If we serve them, we can both benefit from this. You, already with experience as a General of your on army, you can control more than what you have right now! You will be an unstoppable to all who dare go against you! With your army & part of the Dark World Army at your fingertips, no one can stop you.

So, what do you say Gromarg? Are you in?"

Axel was surprised when Reciou bumped into him. As he tried to help her up, she quickly ran and hid behind him. Axel felt the other presence approaching them, and steeled his nerves, preparing for the imminent battle. He saw a figure walking towards them, and as he became visible in the light, Axel gritted his teeth angrily at him. "Litmus....I knew it had to be you...." he growled. Litmus smiled and shrugged his shoulders light-heartedly. "Why Axel, it's been much too long. How have you been old friend?" Axel charged energy into his staff, causing crimson bolts of lightning to surge all around his body. "I was hoping to run into you one of these days. Now I have a chance to pay you back for what you did to me....."

The man turned around as Gearfried spoke to him. For a moment, the shrine had become silent. The silence was broken as the man replied, "I'm sorry....I don't remember you or anyone here, or even what my purpose for this village was..." he said as he turned to face the sword again. "But, if what Balter says is true, then everything will return to me if I place my hand on this sword...." He slowly reached up to grab the sword, pulling it carefully from its holdings on the wall. Despite its massive size, the legendary weapon appeared weightless in his hand as he held it above him. At first, nothing happened. The light crackle of the torches along the wall was the only thing to be heard. Then, the sword began glowing with an eerie light. Effigies of light started to emanate from the blade, seemingly dancing in the air around the warriors. Suddenly, everything went black; the light was instantly replaced by darkness. "Wh-what is happening?" Balter said in a panic. Dex's sword started glowing ominously, and the inky blackness began spreading throughout the inner sanctum of the shrine.

 

Outside the shrine, everything was quiet and normal. Rahz, who was guarding the shrine at the time, yawned wearily. "Man....It's dull as hell around here since the war is over...." he said to himself. He then heard a low rumbling from inside the shrine. He turned and looked into the passageway curiously, and was met by an explosion of dark energy. The darkness flooded into the streets, covering everything in the village. Rahz stood up and shook his head, awestruck by this sudden event. "What the hell is going on??" he asked himself out loud. Lest did he know, the beautiful fields of Sogen would soon become what was most feared for hundreds of years.....

 

Sogen will soon become.....the next Abyss......

A glint of greed flashed in Gromarg's eyes. "Ah, tempting indeed."

 

"Boss, accept the offer! You will be more powerful than ever if you do!" The Teched-Out Raptor named Draken called out.

 

"Indeed, Draken. I am in, Ademine."

Sario saw the stranger the moment he appeared in his sights, his eyes turned violently purple, the red fire sword he held in his hand had vanished, and his dragon reappeared, far larger this time, staring at Litmus. Sario knew that Litmus was trouble from the tone in Axel's voice, so Sario stared at Litmus, ready to strike. But he also knew that Litmus wasn't the one he sensed, it was something else, and that something else just shrieked from far in the distance. That shriek was all Sario needed to find out what he was sensing, for he heard it and battled it before...

When the shriek calmed down, Sario quickly looks to the East. His dragon shrank in size alittle bit out of terror, so he rubbed her snout to calm her, then looked back at Litmus, who apparently did not take any notice to the Shriek...

Xain looked around, trying to see where he was.

 

"Go...leave me alone.."

 

Now why would I do that? I could just stick around and torture you, like I always do, or try to destroy your spirit, leaving an empty shell for me to just come in and take over...hehe. But I won't do that. Knights aren't my type. You better watch out...

 

He leaned on a tree while Xain quickly backed away from it. The tree had caught on fire. Xain picked up his bag of fruit and walked down the steep hill. He looked back at the fire that had now set the whole field on fire. He walked away and across the narrow bridge. He cut the ropes connecting the bridge to the wooden stakes in the ground and ran into a nearby forest.

*She clenched onto Hazel as she saw Litmus approaching and peered out from behind Axel at him silently. She wondered how Axel knew the funny looking man and assumed that he was no good from the way Axel spoke so harshly to him. She seemed to be impressed with the amount of power that Axel so easily summoned, her just taking notice of it for the first time. After a few moments she noticed that Hazel had been growling and looked down at him as he scrambled to go after Sario's dragon. She backed away from Sario as she took notice of the dragon her seeming somewhat frightened by it. She held her wand tightly in her hand as she restrained Hazel in the other while slowly backing away. Not too soon after, she felt an immense release of dark energy and quickly turned her sights to Sogen. Her new lack of reaction to the current situation quickly drew Hazel's attention to her and away from the dragon. After a moment of a silent almost distant stare out at Sogen, she took off running toward the village within quickly. Hazel now worried about her, climbed onto her shoulder as she ran, seeming baffled by her sudden change in character.* She thought to herself somewhat quickly, "Something happened in Sogen, and its partly my duty to find out what it is and help take care of it!" *She clenched her wand tightly in her hand as she neared Sogen's village, seeming prepared to fight whatever it was that had struck.*

 

OOC: As i stated previously in PMs sent to you guys, this might be the only post i do for a day or two until i recover enough to get on the compy after my surgery. who knows, i might feel up to it the day after i get my surgery, but no promises...

Sario's dragon regained her calm and instantly changed fom, into that of a female Felgrand Dragon, her eyes set on Litmus, her teach clenched together, her claws ready to strike, and her wings spread out to show her massive winged span...Glaring down upon Litmus...Sario however turned his attention to Reciou, who was running. "Talon and Ino, stay here to help Axel with, whoever this is...I'll go after her..." And he ran after her, at surprising speed, Talon caught a glimpse of Sario's eyes turning emerald green and as he sprinted by him, a powerfull wind shook him. Ino, in her Felgrand Dragon form, nodded in response to Sario's order, and just kept watching Litmus, and finally she spoke so that everyone could hear her telepathic voice..."I will Sario."

Axel's eyes were glowing a deep red color now, and the energy around him became more fierce. He growled intensely at Litmus, his hatred for him fueling his rage. Even after Reciou ran off, Axel's attention was fixed upon his apparant enemy. "You'll die for what you did to me Litmus....CRIMSON FLASH OF THE FORBIDDEN SPELL!!!" As he shouted his command, the mass of red energy around him focused itself into the end of his staff, and released a huge storm of massive energy, all aimed at Litmus. Litmus smiled slyly, and a blue and red flash appeared in front of him just before the blast made contact with him. After a large explosion, the dust settled, and a new enemy had appeared between Litmus and Axel. A blue-ish warrior, with the face of a human and the body of a fiend, stood in front of Litmus with his red cape draped around him. He lowered his arms, which were long enough to almost touch the ground, and let his cape flow behind him. Litmus placed his hands on the hilts of his katanas, and spoke to the newcomer. "Ah, my dear friend Belphegor...how good of you to join us." Belphegor's stern face was fixed upon Axel, who was awestruck that his attack was stopped by his appearance. "All right then..." Axel said to the both of them, "...if magic won't work, than I'll just beat the life out of you!" He charged towards Belphegor, and swung his staff ferociously attempting to hit him. But his attack was in vain, for Belphegor disappeared just before being hit. Litmus stepped forward, slashing at Axel with his swords. Axel blocked, and was pushed back towards the others. "You cannot defeat us Axel....We're much stronger than before, and you'll see how much right now!!" With that, he leapt backward, and Axel jumped after him, only to be intercepted by Belphegor, who had reappeared between them again. "POISON TWIN CLAWS!!!" Belphegor shouted as he struck Axel with his massive claws. Axel screamed in pain, feeling the agony of the sharp claws piercing his flesh and injecting him with brutal poison. He stumbled and fell in front of Ino and Talon, losing the ability to breathe. Litmus smiled, watching his former comrade lie in pain in front of him. "Heh, weakling..." he said tauntingly. "Come now, Belphegor...We have more business to attend to elsewhere." Belphegor sneered at the others, then they both vanished, without a trace, leaving Talon and Ino alone with a dying Axel.
