After the Struggle

This is the sequel to my previous RP attempt, Eternal Struggle. Although Eternal Struggle was never finished, this RP takes place a few years after those events, which will all be explained in this intro. For those that participated in the previous RP, you may use your old character here, or say they died or left or something and come up with a new character. I don't really expect everyone that was here before to still be here, but it'll be cool to see some familiar faces. Anyway, here's the synopsis for this RP, aptly named "After the Struggle":

 

Once, there was a time of war; a war that raged for centuries, a war between the forces of light and darkness. The world itself was ravaged by the never ending battles, until only a few years ago. A handful of warriors and spellcasters, though once enemies, banded together to form an alliance...one that would finally defeat the Dark Lords once and for all. Their victory was not without sacrifice, as many of their friends lost their lives during the conflict. Those that survived, strive to rebuild all that was destroyed. The village in Sogen, where the warriors call home, and the small town in Yami, where the Dark Magician clan once again flourishes, have both been repaired, and those that once called each other enemies now live amongst each other in peace. But, all peace must come to an end....and Idunia will yearn for it's grand champion to rise again to quell the forces of evil and despair.

Here are the rules for those who don't already know them. For a more in depth look on how the land is divided, go here to see the first page of Eternal Struggle.

 

•No Gods or semi-Gods…..that includes Exodia, Raviel, Uria, Hamon, FGD, Master of Dragon Knight, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, etc….

•Certain effects will not be applied for obvious reasons, ex: no instant destruction (unless you get permission from the guy you’re destroying), effects that damage Life Points would cause injury instead, etc.

•You may pick Trap Monsters, like Embodiment of Apophis etc.

•If you choose to be the leader of a certain race, be sensible about it.

•Disregard that last one; just be sensible no matter what you pick…..

•Made-up monsters are allowed, though it’s not recommended and you’d have to describe what the monster looks like and what it does.

 

I hope this RP comes to a close, unlike the last one...just have fun with it, and I hope to see some of my old friends again!

Character’s Name: Dex Masters

Monster: Buster Blader

Bio: The former leader of the warrior resistance, he bravely led his friends into the heart of the Dark Fortress, where the Dark Lords and all their minions were waiting. After countless tests of strength and fortitude, they eventually made their way into the throne room, where the Dark Ruler Ha Des stood proudly over the dead body of Shira, the Cosmo Queen and second of the Dark Lords. The battle raged for hours, but in the end, it was Dex who stood victorious against the demonic sorcerer. Peace had been returned to the land, but all was not right. Not soon after they had won, Dex disappeared, as if he dropped off the face of the planet. No one knew where he went, for he left not a single note of his departure.

Monster: Dark Red Enchanter

Bio: A very mysterious, yet powerful sorcerer, he boasts considerable strength in spellcasting as well as martial arts. He searches tirelessly for answers concerning the disappearance of his two best friends. After almost a year of searching, he finally comes across a clue...an ominous dark energy. Feeling a sense of familiarity in this new energy, he follows it to its source, hoping to find what he's looking for.

Monster: Dark Magician Girl Reciou

Bio: Its been a few years now and Reciou is over seeing the reconstruction of her old town, Raibel. After the battle, Dex disappeared, leaving her alone and upset at his disappearance. She is still mute and talks to no one, not even Hazel, her pet winged kuriboh. Aside from being the ambassador between the Abyss and Sogen, she spends lots of time in the graveyard protected by the spirits of the former townspeople where she cant be bothered by others.

Monster: Gogiga Gagagigo

Bio: Gromarg was once a servant of the Dark Ruler Ha Des, but disappeared before the final battle. He returned soon afterward, seeing that his master had been killed. He later decided that Ha Des was unfit to rule all of Idunia, and soon returned to the wasteland to create his own "Reptilian Militia", with which he and his band of ruffians pillage and maim anyone they come across.

Character’s Name: Talon Windseer

Monster: Harpies' Brother

Bio: Talon has lived for as long as he can remember in the Mountains. He knows of the old wars, and can feel that the tides are turning. The winds change. There's something in them that tells Talon of great slaughter. The battle for our time lies ahead, all we can do is endure it.

Character’s Name: Gearfried

Monster: Gearfried the Iron Knight

Bio: He wanders the lands, protecting the innocent from evil. Defeating any foe that challenges him to a duel of blades. But, due to an awful curse, he is forced to wear a magical armor that prevents him from ever becoming too powerful. Once his power increases, his power overwhelms; he cannot control it. Anything near him is destroyed. Because of this, he wears the armor in shame. His armor is a constant reminder why he is too dangerous. Even though he is cursed from wearing this armor, he is very skilled at combat using his blade attached to his armor. He is a formidable foe, it is best not to go against him. His curse is his blessing. After the war, since his friend Dex left mysteriously, he was put in charge of the Warrior Resistance in honor of his friend. Waiting paitently until his friend returns.

Monster: ThyAdemine

Bio: A combination of Thymine & Adenine. Only this monster is fused with only Thymine. Thymine was once a members of the Nucleotides (a group of warriors that band together to fight evil), who also helped out fighting in the Dark War. As of matter of fact, he is Second-In-Command of the group. But, due to his enraged jealousy with the relationship between Adenine & Uracil, he was banned from the group. With nowhere to go, he join the Dark Side. The Evil Lords gave him the power he needed for revenge against the Nucleotides. In result, he was transformed into ThyAdemine. He now serves under the Dark Lords. Unleashing his rage upon all that is good; showing no mercy.

Monster: CytoGuanine

Bio: A combination of Cytosine & Guanine. Both are members of the Nucleotides. Cytosine is the smartest one of the group while Guanine is the swiftest & stealthiest member of the group. When combined, they formed CytoGuanine. Cobining both of Cytosine's & Guanine's greatest attributes, he is a lethal beast! Relying on Instinct & Swift Power, he is one formidable foe that no one wants to mess with.

Monster: AdeUracil

Bio: A combination of Adenine & Uracil. Both are members of the Nucleotides. Adenine is the leader of the group; Uracil on the other hand recently joined. Before, she was not a member of the group due to her weak abilities. Because of this, they were concerned about her safety (Thymine had other ideas though), therefore, thay excluded her from the group. Years past and Uracil trained even harder. She was not concerned about developing her fighting abilities but, spellcasting abilities. She travelled throughout the lands mentoring under some of the greatest Spellcasters reknown throughtout the lands. She once again met with the Nucleotides and finally joined them due to her improvement from the last time they met her. She was now the Spellcaster of the group & was the greatest decision that the Nucleotides have ever made making Uracil the new addition to the group (though Thymine was not happy about it). In secret, Adenine & Uracil fell in love with each other. Their love resulted to form AdeUracil. AdeUracil is too a formidable warrior using her spellcasting abilities from Uracil & fighting abilities from Adenine. No foe dares to mess with her.

Monster: Brron, Mad King Of Dark World

Bio: Past information has now become misleading, as the destruction of the old Dark World empire has now set up numerous CP's scattered all around the world of Idunia, while the Dark World fortress itself has been forced to pull back to the very heart of the Dark World, but getting weaker and weaker by the minute, his successor is being brought into full view, has he has gathered more troops and leaders of death and destruction to keep the imbalance of light and dark at bay, since the collapse years ago, but now, with Reign-Beaux keeping the newly captured Monarchs in the brig, 2 more new Monarchs have been discovered, and the hunt to recruit the strongest creatures ever, has now begun. And the Dark World, now, has never been a more serious threat to the safety of Idunia.

Bio: A warrior trying to find the key to Paradise, but he cannot find it, for he has sinned in his Life Time, so he is searching for a way purify his spirit so he may go into Paradise, but each time he fights, he causes blood shed and heads further down the highway to hell, and away from Paradise...Though his ability to control elements masterfully is a power asset in his fights, he has also another Darkened power, the ability to call upon his dragon, his Dark Element Dragon.

Bio: During the war, he was a leading officer in the Warrior Resistance, and saw the battle between Dex and the Dark Ruler. After the final battle, he wandered off, searching for someone, for after the battle, 5 Spirit Messages spelling FINAL made him realize that the war isn't over. He hurried off to find his friend, but his current wherabouts are unknown....

Monster: Mystic Swordsman LV6

Bio: A wandering man who knows little of his legacy. He was born of a human and a fiend. He grew up with his mother (the human) and has never seen his father. He has wandered the land taking trips to the dark realms in hopes to find his father. Being a half-fiend normally he would have horns or wings or even scales, but with the magic he knows he is able to cloak this from the world. He can normally control the evil side of his heritage, but when he is on the brink of death or in a berserk rage the fiendish part of him takes over.

Bio: After the war, Xain's good friend Saiph was dying because of many wounds inflicted upon him. Xain fused with him, which was the only way to stop him from dying.

He was a dark secret that he has kept from everyone, and has become a schizophrenic because of it. His current location is unknown.

Bio: originally a drifter, he helped reciou and others in the war. he left, during the war, in search of the power of time. It's unknown where he is now or if he found what he was looking for.

Bio: A white robed charecter who claims to know neo. he has blond, long, messy hair and blue eyes that match his kind heart and attitude. the only indicator to who or what he is is the odd looking clock pendant he wears. every thing else is a mystery.

Monster: Obnoxious Celtic Guard

Bio:During the course of the Dark War, Leon lost His family. He feels responsible, thinking that he was too weak, helpless. After that day, Leon began training, improving, learning. He challedged tougher and tougher opponents. His to him, cleverness and speed are what win battles. His personality changed. He was braver, more determined. Some go so far as to say he's stubborn and obnoxious, but Leon always laughs this off proclaiming, "I am merely afraid of nothing, and determined to win."

Monster: Chirox, Master of the Judge

Bio: He was thought to have been killed by a few things in his life time but always seemed to return as if nothing much had happened. The others that knew him never warmed up to his character and thought him too much of a dark persona. He didnt get along with people in his own right. When he left, he was attacked by an unknown enemy and said to have been crushed. Never to be seen agian ...

((Okay, I think we might have enough now...Let's get this started!!!))

 

A dense fog covers the forest, blanketing it from the rest of the world. A lone figure, draped in crimson robes, can be seen walking amongst the trees.

 

I've been following this trail for hours...I certainly hope it leads somewhere soon...

 

Suddenly, a mysterious voice echoes inside his head. He immediately recognizes it as one of his subordinates.

 

Axel? Axel, can you hear me? This is Breaker...

 

Yes, I can hear you, Breaker. What is it?

 

Well...I know you found a trail that could lead to Belphegor and Lithmus, but why keep all of us out of the loop now?

 

Axel stopped, sighing heavily as he answered the telepathic message.

 

Because....This has nothing to do with any of you....Just me, and me alone....Axel, out....

 

And with his parting thoughts, he continued his journey through the forest, ready for the long road ahead of him.

Gromarg the Giga Gagagigo walked through the wasteland, followed by many rouge reptiles in Emerald cloaks.

 

Gromarg had an intense, insane grin on his mutilated face, as usual.

 

"Come, my children, let us find some weary traveller to kill..."

*She looks up from the building plans on the table and over at a team of spellcasters as they put the roof onto the building using their magic. She sighed to herself seeming frustrated at the whole thing as hazel ran up to her feet and clenched onto her leg, climbing up to her shoulder.* She thought to herself, "I cant watch this anymore..." *Soon after she looked to one of the overseers and nodded, signaling for him to take over. Hazel looked at her quietly as she turned and headed toward the woods, he knew where she was going though the others could never figure out where she went.* She thought quietly to herself ignoring all the sounds around her, "Where could he have gone, he would have come back by now if he weren't dead..." *She walked down a slightly beaten pathway that veered to the right and stopped where the pathway ended out of nowhere. She paused for a moment before walking through the barrier, catching the sight of the huge graveyard in the midst of all the evening fog as she reached the other side. She sat down and over looked the vast area of graves silently as hazel climbed off her shoulder and sat beside her.*

Talon opened his eyes. The winds were changing. A storm, more treacherous than anything they had ever seen, was coming. All they could do was endure.

 

The mountains around him was a lonely place, but it did not matter to him. His inner sight would provide him with the company he needed. He closed his outer eyes again, and opened the inner. He saw the reptiles walking across the wastelands, eager to battle. He saw the sage, desperately looking for an answer to his questions. But above all, he saw fire. Fire, blood and thunder tearing the spirits of the world apart.

Axel quickly grew tired from his endless walking, and decided to find a suitable place to camp. He stopped momentarily, sensing that someone was watching him from afar. "Tch...No matter, they can watch if they please..." he said quietly to himself as he sat down near a clearing. He then felt a small drop of water fall upon his hat, then, it steadily began raining. "Great...just what I need..." He lifted his staff above his head, and conjured a spell, disguising the area around him as a large boulder, shielding him from the rain and from the sight of others. He quietly nestled himself on the ground, then slowly drifted to sleep, comforted only by the steady drops of rain on his barrier.

As the storm intensified, Gromarg told his army to stop.

 

"There are several caves in this area. Shelter in them for the night," He said harshly.

 

The group of reptiles all went in different directions.

 

Gromarg did not care about the storm, for he had a tie with the water. He continued to stand in the same spot, watching all around him.

*Hazel looked up at Reciou watching the sad expression on her face before she buried her head into her arms. She sighed to herself once more before listening to the wind pick up and brush the leaves around.* "I might sleep here tonight...", She thought to herself solemnly. *She laid on her back and looked up at the sky, watching a few clouds pass* She thought, "I don't want to go back for now... and it's safer here than the village.", trying to justify her want to sleep in the graveyard. *Hazel bundled up beside her and sighed as he fell asleep. Soon after, she was getting tired so she grabbed hazel and shoved him under her head, using him as a pillow. Hazel scrambled frantically for a moment or two before giving up and allowing her to use him as a pillow. She slowly drifted off to sleep as the storm was nearing her village.*

Gromarg found his eyelids feeling heavy but shrugged it off. I will not tolerate weakness.

Meanwhile, amongst the rubble of the old Dark Fortress...

 

A man, standing on top of the destruction that once housed the threat of the entire cosmos, held his head in agony. His skin was charred, bruised and bloodied. He stumbled towards the ground as the storm picked up, and fell face first into the mud. He lifted his muscular body off of the ground, and walked along a beaten path. As his black hair was matted to his head from the rain, the only thing that escaped his lips, was one question.....

 

"Who.....am.....I.....?"

[Umbra]

Talon noticed something. A change in the world's pattern, that forged the storm. The awakening of the Dark Magician's voice, that spread across the world. Talon wouldn't even need his inner eye to notice it. He shook his head, and rose from the ground, slowly. His old bones creaked as he walked across the cavern floor. He was about to do something he hadn't done since the last war. Leave his cave, to affect the pattern. To calm down the storm. He walked out the cavern, and stood at the clifftop with at least a thousand feet drop ahead of him. Then, he lifted off.

 

He came to the Graveyard after a few minutes, but when he approached, his body bumped into something. Inside, he saw nothing but a blur. But he knew that the Graveyard and the Dark Magician was inside. He landed, and sat down. Time to wait.

Gromarg sensed something.

 

"So, someone is in the old Dark Fortress?"

 

Maybe his old ties to Ha Des would come in handy after all.

 

"Ooh, and I smell blood." The insane grin graced his face once more.

 

"GYAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He laughed into the night.

*She tossed and turned in her sleep, mumbling to herself all the while. She woke with the sunrise as it hit her face in the morning and as she sat up Hazel sprung awake. Yawning, she looked out into the graveyard and stretched silently to herself. Soon after she stood up and brushed the grass and dirt from her clothes then picked up her wand. Hazel seeming to have had a good nights sleep sprung in the air and flew onto her shoulder, clenching onto it tightly.* She thought to herself silently, "Another night of restlessness...." *Her thoughts were interrupted by her growling stomach. She looked down at it seeming frustrated, soon after shrugging it off. She knew where a huge tree, usually covered in fruit, was and decided to get food from there. She walked down the hill in the graveyard and passed many rows before turning to leave the barrier. Outside of the barrier she could see the huge tree filled with fruit and walked out looking up at its height from its great age. She jumped up to grab the first branch, climbing up about three or four more before reaching out to grab a tasty looking piece of fruit. Meanwhile, Hazel, who had become intensely scared clenched onto her back and held on till she sat comfortably on a branch. After a few moments he climbed down onto the branch and began to munch on a nearby piece of fruit.* She thought to herself again, "Maybe i should run away..." *She kicked her feet back and forth as she thought more.* "...I'd probably be hunted down because they need me to keep the peace between them and Sogen..." *She sighed to herself tiredly and looked down at the ground seeming unhappy.* "I'll run away tomorrow... maybe if i go far enough they won't look for me, or think i'm dead... i can teleport three times before wearing myself out to much..." She thought. *She sat in the tree still kicking her legs before looking up toward the sky.* "I wonder what Dex is doing right now..." She wondered to herself.

The sun had risen, and its bright rays shone through the branches in the trees. The barrier that Axel had made disappeared, and Axel stood and yawned. Grabbing his staff, he continued on his journey without hesitation. Suddenly, a loud grumble was heard from within his body. "Ugh.....I guess I'm hungry...." he said to himself half-heartily. Spotting an apple tree nearby, he went over and surveyed the area before attempting to grab one of the fruit. Using his magic, he gently pulled an apple from its branch, and began eating as he returned to his trek. As he walked along, he noticed something else. It was a dark power, but not like the one he was following. This one wasn't evil like the other one. It felt...calm, and innocent. After a brief moment of studying the energy, he quickly shrugged it off, seeing it as a distraction. "I can't get sidetracked like that...I've got to keep moving forward..." he said to himself calmly, trying to ignore this new energy that taunted his fancy. But, the strangest thing he felt about this new energy...

 

"....It's almost....just like mine...!"

[Umbra]

Talon shrugged. There was nothing he could do about the barrier; his many attempts during the last half hour showed that probably not even Ha Des himself could break this shield down. He thought for a while that he had seen the Dark Magician step out of the barrier and walk, but then she disappeared again. He gently lifted off-ground, and a few meters above ground, he opened the inner eye. The sage was somehow altered, his mind wandering. He had made a discovery of some sort, but Talon was not able to decipher what it was. The Windseer's mind then wandered to the reptile that he had seen, and felt great happiness, along with a taint of evil. And during all this, the barrier, which Talon had never looked upon with his inner sight, revealed it's true structure. A fine weave of power, invisible to the naked eye. The weave was thick, and Talon was surprised that even the air could get through.

*She stopped eating and listened quietly around her, thinking that she heard something nearby. After a few moments of silence passed, she looked over at Hazel who was just finishing off another piece of fruit. She picked him up and held onto him tightly as she teleported out of the Abyss and to the borderline of Sogen. She looked around quietly to make sure no one had seen her and then teleported again. This time she ended up on the borderline of the Great Forest, she looked around once more before walking into the forest. She held Hazel close as she ventured in more and more taking notice of all the monsters. In the distance she could hear prickle fairies laughing and old trees creaking, along her feet she saw several samsara lotus run by and jump into a fairly big puddle of water. She began to think to herself that she should go somewhere else, her now feeling out of place and uncomfortable.* "Maybe i should go to the wastelands... or to the volcano..." She thought as she sighed to herself "i just dont want to go back..."

Axel stopped as he felt the strange power suddenly vanish. "Teleportation? Possibly, but why am I so worried about that?" he said to himself, slowly returning to his trail. Not soon afterward, he stopped again, this time trying to connect to this new presence. "Well, its a lot closer than what I've been following...not to mention stronger. I guess I can try to figure out who, or what went where..." He concentrated hard, trying to find where this mysterious power just suddenly disappeared to. A simple task really....all he has to do is locate other dark powers that resemble his, and basically bounce a signal off of them to the next target, until he found what he's looking for. Like a radio network, or a big game of connect-the-dots. It wasn't too long, though, until he found that peculiar amount of strength. "The Great Forest....Clever...." And with that last statement, he teleported to the edge of the forest, where the energy source was last felt.

*She trailed through the Great Forest silently holding Hazel closely to her. She could feel him shaking in her arms, of course he was always scared of the smallest things. She stopped and looked up noticing that a regenerating rose was directly above her. Frozen in her tracks she continued to look up at the regenerating rose hoping it hadn't seen her. After a few moments it left so she turned and walked backwards to make sure it wasn't following her from behind. Not too soon after she bumped into something with her back and slowly turned to see what it was. As she turned she caught sight of the huge regenerating rose towering slightly above her. Hazel, now to scared to even move, screeched loudly at the monster freaking himself out more in the process. She turned away from the regenerating rose quickly and started to run off but was caught by one of its vines and was being slowly dragged back toward it. Hazel, who had been flung from her arms, ran around frantically before reaching one of the monster's vines and biting onto it angrily. The regenerating rose wailed in pain as Hazel continued to hold on, meanwhile, Reciou began to pull herself from the monsters grip.*

Talon suddenly felt a great disturbance. Both the Dark Magician and the sage had vanished, but their changes in the pattern revealed their location to be the Great Forest. Talon shrugged; there was not much he could do about that. The Seer's Oath forbid him to interact with the pattern directly, but he could contact them. He wasn't sure they could respond, and infact, it didn't matter to him. He opened the inner eye again, and had it follow the pattern until his sight was closely following the red sage. Then, he spoke.

- Sage. Yes, I'm talking to you. The Dark Magician is nearby, gathering her will. Her mind is unclear.

Then, Talon let the inner eye fade away as he landed on the ground next to the barrier around the Graveyard.

- All I can do now is waiting. Waiting for the message to affect.

Axel entered the forest, not knowing what to expect. Suddenly, he heard a monster's cry of pain in the distance. "Hm? I shouldn't be surprised...This forest is usually filled with such vicious creatures..." But then he thought, But what if the one I'm looking for is in trouble? I'd better check it out anyway... He then sprinted off to where the noise came from, and sure enough, the energy he was searching for grew nearer. He stopped by a large tree, looking around to see what was happening. "What's this? That girl's in trouble!" Before he could move, however, he heard a faint voice from within his head. Dark Magician? What are you talking about? His question went unanswered, but simply shrugged it off and returned to the issue at hand. Without wasting another moment, he leaped from behind the tree, taking aim at the mutant plant with his staff. "FLASH OF THE FORBIDDEN SPELL!!!" The rose creature was fried, and eventually exploded, covering the are in a messy goo. Axel walked over to the girl on the ground, checking if she was okay. "Are you hurt?" he asked her, trying not to surprise her.

*She wiped some of the goo off of her face before hearing the man speak. As he spoke to her, she looked up quickly and began to back away on the ground frantically. Hazel seeing Reciou scared, ran in between her and the strange man to block his path. Soon after, she picked Hazel up, pushing herself up in the process and proceeded to run from Axel and deeper into the forest. After she ran about 20 feet or so she stopped and began picking off the goo and pieces of vines that were stuck to her.* "Who was that? I didnt see anyone around when i came in here... Was he sent to retrieve me?" She thought to herself as she caught her breath. *Hazel looked up at her from her arms curiously as if wondering what was going on. She leaned against a tree and slid down against its trunk till she was sitting on the ground.* "He did help me... maybe i shouldn't have run off..." She reasoned with herself silently, "How do i get out of here anyway?" *She then realized that she was lost and stood up quickly, looking around to find a way out. She clenched her arms around Hazel tightly, making him let out a hurtful shrill in pain. He struggled to get out of her arms but gave up after a few moments. Meanwhile, Reciou was trying to find a way out, only feeling as if she were going in circles in the process. She stopped, trying to find out which way was north, but after a few minutes passed she gave up. She looked down at Hazel in her arms, silently wondering if he knew they were lost.*

He desired youth, immortality, and his pale, wrinkly black skin, to become smooth, so his figure looked humane in the eys of those who feared him, instead of having his opponents mock him of his age and forgetfulness.

 

As the crystalline chamber of the inner sanctum's iridescent glow began to diminish as the sun set, the massive doors behind his throne began to slowly open. Scarr slowly trumbled inside.

"Good. Get our new friends to greet him a visit."

Scarr walked back through the massive doors, as Iklarr could still hear Kozaky working away in his lab, attempting to bring him to his great majesty again, in his youth.

You know, I have sent some of my other warrior to hunt you down; unfortunately, they were unable to take you back in. There goes to show, never sent someone to do the job for you.
