If you have nothing useful to say

It has come to my attention recently that obvious Spam Topics are being filled with Members *Witty* One Liners such as "inb4lock" Seriously it makes you look like a Jackass and it bumps the offending thread up. This is more of a Comment then Suggestion. Just leave the Spam Topics alone, Kay? :)

"K, inb4lock."

As ever the voice of reason, but as ever I fear, it will fall on deaf ears.

Don't the mods already had out warnings to people who post these comments in this topics? It doesn't seem much of a deterant, so I dunno how this request will change these peoples minds.

TCG Warrior: You will, they appear everywhere. Either spam bots advertising things or trolls beings... well, trolls.

There’s no effing way I’m going to let this pass.
First of all, I’m from the TCG section, which is basically a spamhole where the card itself is almost never discussed properly. That means that if this horrible rule was implemented the whole section will go down and I will ultimately have to leave this forum.
Secondly, the internet exists for = stress-relieving. Spamming = relieves stress. Therefore, the internet exists for = Spamming. Okay, maybe not, but whatever.
Third. I'm a Jackass.
Fourth. Offending threads exist for having fun.
Anyway, I give a “no support” from all my heart.

It's ultimately up to the mod that deals with the situation. You can't enforce everyone on the staff to moderate in the exact same way, because people will always have different opinions on what constitutes a certain infraction and how serious it is.

Personally, I give out mild warnings. They can be heavier if the topic being discussed is precisely "inb4" posts and people are just being smartasses, like a couple of members here might have figured out by now.

I agree with Darkplant. The highlights of my time on YCM are flaming trolls and finding new "inb4lock" pictures. Really, what would life be like without them?

Sane.

I disagree. I've done "inb4lock" pictures like...four times now? Usually the last person to post before the thread is spotted by a mod. Though I was first to reply once, I think. But after all of that...I got nothing. No warning, no punishment, nothing. Just saying. :\

I myself don't post on TCG but in the odd time I look all there is is people making loads of topics and posts saying "good card" and that's it.

I agree with this. Most of the threads are repetitive. The only time a thread is different is if it contains people claiming the creator of the thread ripped the picture or something. Basically flaming the person because they can't make anything like that (and yes, I have personally watched people make pictures that are pretty awesome, so I know it's possible). My point is that Alexis is right. The forum as a whole is basically the same thing all the way through. Even the RP section is starting to get repetitive. Do you have ANY idea how many Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh RPs I see going at one time? Eh, don't ask me. I don't bother counting since I just skip over them. >.>

Well, there is my small two cents.

I really don't care until the other day when I reported someone for posting inb4lock in a thread that renamed "Lock" an hour prior. It's shocking. King Crouton reported a thread. I never report because again, I don't care. But, that person bumped up a thread where the TC acknowledged his/her mistake, removed the topic post, and renamed the thread "Lock."

What really grinds my gears is when I make a topic in RC and only get number ratings or a two-word comment on choice of picture instead of something useful like a detailed opinion on the card. That's why I went to WC.

The only thing in TCG that annoys me is when people discuss Charmers; not the cards, but the big-eyed jailbait in the pictures. Also, when the discussion is solely about the art. TCG has become the art appreciation club.

Wait. Isn't this already a rule?
