Rap, hip hop discussion thread.

I know many of you metalheads who think that metal is the only "real music" will bash this thread. I am asking you not to, because it is an opinion if you think metal is good music; not a fact.

Moving on, we have deep, thoughtful rap music (Eminem, at least, most of his latest music) and rap music about cars, and banging sluts, and money (A lot of rappers). Personally, I like anything as long as the lyrics aren't too dumbed-down and there is a good beat.

Your opinion, YCM?

Psychopathic Artists (ICP, Twiztid, Ect.)

That's all the rap I listen to. :'D

Isn't JMT a Psychopathic, too?

I try to tell myself that I like rap for the deep meanings and metaphors, but in all honesty I could here a dude go off for an hour if he had a nice flow and a decent beat. I guess rap is really dependent on my mood. However, I wanna kill my radio sometimes for playing Waka Flocka and Rick Ross all day

Waka is so shitty. In every way.

Rick Ross can be good, but most of the time he's an overrated dumbass.

Personally, these are the rappers I listen to:

-OFWGKTA
-Busta Rhymes
-2Pac
-Mob Deep
-Tyga
-Drake
-Kid Cudi
-The Notorious B.I.G.
-Bone Thugs n' Harmony
-Krayzie Bone
-Lil' Wayne (On occasion, and none of his auto-tuned s***, really.)
-Eminem
-Jay-Z
-Big Boi
-Tech N9ne
-Immortal Technique
-Lupe Fiasco
-Kanye West (Anything before 808s and Heartbreak. I disliked that album so much, but I like his newest one.)
-Wiz Khalifa (On occasion, mainly his mixtape stuff, as I didn't like Rolling Papers)
-RZA
-Wu-Tang Clan
-Clipse
-T.I.
-Eazy-E
-Method Man
-MF Doom
-E-40
-Dr. Dre
-Snoop Dogg
-Slim Thug
-Ghostface Killah
-Gang Starr

All taken from my iTunes library. Most are good, some are so-so, and others just have good albums and bad albums.

Someone should make a rap/hip hop club.

I dont see how anyone aged 13-18 could listen to metal and rock its horrible.

Anyway I like loads of diffrent rappers but eminem and B.O.B are the shiz.

I don't see how anyone could listen to rap and hip hop, it's horrible.

My grammar is better, therefore I am correct.

It's your opinion, so yes, it's correct to you. Not to everybody else.

This is a music section it has nothing to do with grammer.

So you and your grammer can GTFO.

Grammar helps with arguing. Grammar is obviously something you have trouble with.

On topic, I personally don't like B.O.B. at all. He's more popish and RnB than Rap and Hip-Hop. Plus, his raps are few and far between, and aren't that great to begin with.

One thing that annoys me online is the whole Drake vs. J.Cole thing. I see Cole fans all the time bringing up Drake for no reason, and sometimes stupid Drake fans will bring him up when he's not even in a song, making other people respond by saying Drake is s*** or somethign like that. Anyone know how that started?

I'm more of a 90's rap fan, when it was 5% bragging and 95% life stories and events.
1. NAS
2. Eazy-E
3. N.W.A
4. Tupac
5. Biggie Smalls
The only opposition to this is Kanye West. His voice is awesome."Stronger" and "Power" had me sold.

In the way of hip-hop, basically the same.
1. Will Smith (Summer, summer, summertiiiime...)
2. Biz Markie
[s]3. Sean Kingston[/s]
