Lady_Killer
Genetic Military and War Depot, Previous FBI Headquarters Bi-oid Genetic Research Headquarters Mission Command Room 1600 hours A large group of Bi-oids crowded around the expansive table in the center of the room. Everyone was curious about the news, a Large group of Misshapen had moved into Romania and began to terrorize. As they sat down in their chairs, everyone looked around, only to see Bi-oids of every shape and size at the meeting. A decorated military general walked into the room, and all the Bi-oids, stood up and saluted silently as the general walked on stage. This general was not a Bi-oid himself, but rather the most skilled human soldier to ever fight in the war on mutants. He was too old to fight now, but he still had his wits about him, and knew exactly what he was talking about when he was going to start his speech. He turned, and said, “At ease soldiers.” Everyone said back down in their seats, and he began to speak. “Welcome everyone,” said the general. “I am going to make this short and sweet. You are all Bi-oids. Super-soldiers infused with animal DNA to help aid the non-infected world in the war on the Misshapen. This, you already know.” The crowed was silent, hushed with awe as the charismatic old man spoke with a stern, but affirming, voice. “These 'men' behind me,” The general said, pointing at a small group of senior Bi-oids, each a different animal, "Will be leading your squads. Each of you will be assigned to a Squad." The general quickly read off a list of names and each squad quickly disperced and got into their groups before sitting with their new teams. After several minutes of breifing, a new face walked into the room. “Welcome,” said the squad leader. “I am Dr. Woodrow. That is all you need to know about me. I have read all of your files, and I already know about all of you, so let’s get down to business.” The squad leader had a certain snooty attitude, with a disdainful and disapproving voice. “Here are your mission specs. Your assignment is to head to southern Europe and clean out a small town that has been a problem to soldiers. Keep damage to a minimum, and restore order to the town so the soldiers can focus on preventing any other Misshapen from crossing over the African-European border. Your choppers are outside. Three of you will ride per chopper. You can chat amongst yourselves for the next five minutes and get acquainted. We leave in six minutes, so be quick, and find out who you will ride with in the helicopters. I will be waiting in the cockpit. You will hear the choppers starting up when it is time to leave.” And with that, doctor left, leaving the groups to talk among themselves.
Immortal Chaos
There was a rather uneasiness in Sam's mind as he listened to the words, and was organized into his team. An even more unsettling feeling surged through him as the Doctor spoke about where they were going. He adjusted the collar of his shirt a bit, feeling as though it was choking him. Then again he always felt a little on edge before anything major took place. He had been this nervous in training camp, and now that seems like ages ago to him. Standing here, at this moment, just minuets before taking off, he looked into the faces of those he had trained with. Some looked familiar, some he had never seen before. He stretched a bit, cracking his knuckles, his back and his shoulders in one fluid motion before returning his attention to everyone around him. Lady_Killer
Gyr listen intently to her commander, taking in every detail. As the doctor came on to the platform, she continued her collection of intell about the mission before setting out for her new team. Gyr walked over to her group and looked around. Every face was unknow to her except one. The face was strange yet familiar. She pondered the face for a moment, trying to place it with a name. Eventually she found what she was looking for. "Sam! Is that you?" She said estatically, ruffling her wings in excitement. It had been years since she had seen him in training and it was even more of a suprise to see him on her team. To think an old friend to be your teammate. she thought to herself.
Immortal Chaos
The voice calling out his name snapped him back from his silence. Whipping around quickly, his golden eyes fell on the form of Gyr, a small smile crossing his face as he walked up to her. "Well well, Gyr, imagine you on this team. How you been? Seems like ages since we saw each other." He chuckled a bit, feeling more at ease now that he actually knew someone he would be working with on this. He rubbed the back of his neck slowly as he looked around, then back to Gyr, blinking slowly. He smiled just a bit more, happy to see a friendly face amongst the masses as he waited for her to answer him. In all actuality, she had been a good friend in training, and he had noticed her more than exceptionable skill in anything she put her mind to, making him relax about what they were about to do. Cody Frost
Torai made his way to his new teammates in the briefing room. It wasn't going to be long before they departed and only two seemed to be taking advantage of the time they were given before departing. He chose to take that chance as well. "My name is Torai Ignacius. If you want to you can call me Tigger. I'm 27 years old and I'm sure that some of you have seen my face as I've seen some of yours. I am primarily a short-mid range fighter and so I will tend to be in the front. You guys can either have my back up or back me up while I'm in the battle ground. I expect to work well with all of you for the better of 'humanity' and I do hope that you all can help me bring this 'virus' that has been plaguing our world to an end." Torai rested himself briefly awaiting for the mission to begin.
Lady_Killer
Gyr looked over at Tigger ignoring Sam for the moment. She took the moment to quicky analyze him. He was well built, muscled, and, to her suprise, Attractive. "Well. Hello, Tigger. Your kind of Talkative arn't you. My name is Gyr, I'm a Gyrfalcon and i'll be the team medivac. Don't expect much field coverage from me but if you get shot you would be wise to get your ass to me. Also if your Infintry than I'm going to require you to keep an eye on me, not imply that i cannot defend myself. I had quite the reputation when i started. " Gyr took a deep breath after her quick rant before bowing to him and then extending her arm in a friendly handshake.
Cody Frost
Torai shook hands firmly with Gyr and game her a small greeting smile. He noticed she looked at him with a slightly odd expression, but he brushed that aside quickly. "I'll make sure to keep a vigilant eye." Then he turned to the bear of a man an quickly remembered the name Gyr spoke of earlier. "So you must be Sam?" He extended his hand towards the large bear-of-a-man out of courtesy. Immortal Chaos
Sam extended his hand slowly, gripping Tiger's hand in a rather uncomfortable grip due to his strength. "Yeah, name's Sam." He looked over Tiger slowly also, taking in his build, his stance, facial structure, even how he spoke. "So what exactly do you do? Rush in and blow everything you see up?" He half smirked at his attempt of a joke, which he never really was good at to begin with. Last thing he wanted was to piss anyone off before this started. Shaking Tiger's hand slowly, he soon returned his arm to his side, waiting for his answer.
Cody Frost
Torai shook firmly, even though he could tell Sam felt a bit uncomfortable, and then released his hand. He smirked at Sam's remark and replied, "N...yeah. I do that. But only if it's absolutely necessary. I'm actually a general soldier, trained for any form of combat and can be paired up with almost any team. My skills are balanced, and not over-the-top. Well...except in maybe close combat, but that's just out of hobby." Speaking of which, the choppers will be leaving soon, no?"
Immortal Chaos
He shrugged a bit as he looked around for a moment, then back at Torai. "The doc said about six mins or so, so whenever they say move out, I would assume that the six min grace period of knowing our team would be over." He blinked a bit as he scratched the back of his neck a bit, actually wondering himself what would happen not only in the chopper ride, but when they hit the ground. Looking back at Torai he spoke again, softer. "I do have a request though, more so a statement, if all three of us are in the same chopper, I want to the be the first on the ground, and the last one to step off of it...weird I know. But it is something I need."
Cody Frost
Torai paused at Sam's statement, mostly because he found the request pretty odd. He shrugged it and then patted Sam in the shoulder. "Go ahead?" He said awkwardly with a grin. He turned to take a seat even if it would only last a few minutes. Then he grasped a small chain with a moon symbol from his pocket. He stared at the silver metalloid object, sighed, and then decided to put it on. "I wonder if I'll ever find the other piece..." He didn't realize he was talking out loud. Lady_Killer
Gyr looked at Sam, puzzled by his weird statement. "Go ahead, I got my own set of wings." She said, snickering in the process. She backed up and gave her wings a quick beat when she heard the noise over the intercom. "Everyone report to the sky deck for take off." Came the Doctor's voice. Gyr stared at the intercom for a moment and then proceeded to the sky deck, awaiting her allies. She looked around at the blood red sunset, curious as to why they would be taking off at such a late hour. She quickly pushed it to the back of her mind. If i was meant to know then I would have been told. she thought. She walked over to the edge of the building and gave her wings another flap. "Let's go!" She said jumping off the building and extending her wings for flight. "Off to Romania!"
Cody Frost
Heh, easy for her to say. Torai made his way onto the chopper specified for his team. He felt Sam's presence creeping in behind him, but didn't mind it at all. He took his seat next to the pilot's seat, placed the co-pilot helmet on, and began to aid in the set up of the chopper. "Alright, this is Heli-MK #2, co-pilot Torai Ignacius. Everything seems to be in check and we are ready for lift off." He covered his microphone piece and yelled at the other guys in the back. "Yo! Everyone ready for take off?" He started the tail blade and then clipped his parachute on.
GreyCat
Chase didn't linger in the meeting room. Mingling... that was one of those things he didn't do that much. Besides, just who did that general think he was? He had the scent of all those in the room and had seen some of the files, and had glimpsed some back in training. That was all he needed. And all they needed to do was to point him at a target and get the rest of them out of his way. That way, he could get his job done and get beck to base for food and sleep. So, instead of herding with the other biods on the room, he slipped out and lounged in one of the helicopters that was to take them to their target. He didn't really know southern Europe, but he knew some vague things about it from his training. It was supposed to be in the range of the prey. Which meant he didn't have to hold back. Good. Immortal Chaos
Sam boarded the chopper and strapped himself in, looking to Tiger and giving him a thumbs up. His hand rested on his chain gun, and subconsciously one rested on the handle of his pistol at his hips. "Its now or never." He told himself as he looked out the window, waiting for the chopper to take off. His heart was thumbing in his chest loudly, making his gulp silently. He was in fact nervous, but he wouldnt let it show, he had to be strong like the animal he was infused with. This was their task, he had to prove his worth. Cody Frost
"Alright. We are ready for lift off." Torai pressed the final launch mechanisms and the chopper began to hover. The humming noise was both inspiring and worrying at the same time. He had only seen these 'misshapen' creatures in the files and briefings but now they were about to embark on a journey where they would actually fight them. He had heard these creatures had increadible strenght, agility, and several other individual factors that made them powerful opponents. Torai brushed these thoughts away. He was sure he didn't want to die at their hands, and he had to make a change for the better of the world. The chopper caught up with Gyr who was flying to the location. "Hey! If you get tired you know you can always hop on!" Torai grinned, doubting she would agree but just like he promised, he would keep an eye on his teammates. Lady_Killer
Gyr looked over at Torai and smilled. "Thanks for the offer. I might come sit by you a little later." She said. With that she began to dip and dive through the sky. To her this was the ultimate feeling, the wind blowing through her hair, the air currents below her wings. In the air she felt truly alive without a care in the world if she so chose. After a few hours of flying, the land quickly changed to sea and the water took over the horizon. Gyr began to feel tired, not because of the flying but the sheer stress of this mission plus the late hour. She flew over to the chopper which she had been beside and landed on the landing gear, quickly crawling into the second chair next to Torai. "How is the flying going ace?" She asked him. Cody Frost
“Unbearably boring. But that won’t be much of a bother soon. The guys in the back are awfully quiet, and all that’s keeping me awake mainly the anxiety of landing the plane…and the fear that some of us won’t make it back after this mission.” Torai looked at the waters and the horizon silently for a brief moment. “To be honest, sometimes I wonder what life would’ve been like if I was born human. Having parents, living a ‘true’ twenty something years, not an assimilation of being twenty seven. Truth of the matter is, I don’t feel old. I think I feel how a seven year old might. To some extent, I’m scared of what’s out there.” Torai glanced once more at the waters. He was shocked to realize that the waters were quickly turning into land. They were about to arrive at their destination.
Immortal Chaos
Sam had closed his eyes, focusing on his breathing as the chopper neared ever closer to its destination. He inhaled and exhaled, catching bits and pieces of the conversation, though it was a bit difficult. Military helicopters were't really meant to be stealthy, so the noise from the blades spinning prevented him from anything remotely like sleep. His hand still clutched the holder of his heavy gun, gripping it in what could only be assumed as a death grip, waiting for the sound of them landing, and like he had said, he would be the first onto the ground. FacelessHero
Fenris wasn't one to warm quickly to new faces. Not even bothering to say a word in the briefing room he had followed Chase out to the choppers as soon as he left. He sat next to Chase in the chopper. When they took off he had taken out one of his Reaver handguns. As he began going over it adjusting parts of it and staring down its sight aiming at the floor. Just trying to pass the time as the flight was rather boring to him. As he could tell they were getting close to their destination he placed the gun back in it's holster. Then he spoke with his deep growl-toned voice,"Europe huh. Poor bastards." He stared aimlessly out the window looking at all the buildings and towns they passed by. Cody Frost
Torai prepared to bring the chopper down. He had already seen a few moving creatures in the ground below. The choppers had all split and spread out into key points and Torai had found their destination. "Alright, I'm bringing us down." Torai lowered the chopper's power on the propellers and the chopper began to descend into the small clearing. There were several buildings, most of them no higher than two floors. The chopper's engine was cut and the propellers came to a complete stop. Torai armed himself and handed everyone a small watch. "Alright guys. Time to move out. Here are the radar watches." Then he handed them a small wireless ear piece with a microphone. "That is going to be our communications line. The watches can transmit signals so that we can still be in contact even when we can't see each other. Also, the watch has a few features such as a sonar scanner. This will help us track moving objects. The scanner is voice activated so just say 'Scan Mode' close to it and the hologram will appear." Torai sighed. "Although I said these scanners will help us keep track of each other, don't stray from the team. Spread out just enough so that you're still close enough to anyone if you need back up. Any questions?"
FacelessHero
As his helicopter landed Fenris was given one of the communicator watches and he quickly put it on. Then he instantly hopped out of the helicopter and drew his Reaver Bolt-Action Handguns. "Scan Mode" he spoke while aiming down the sights of his guns looking into the distance. The hologram appeared out of the watch and he could see there weren't any moving objects in the direct vicinity. "Well then, let's get this show started." He turned to face his companions from the helicopter. "Fenris" he spoke as he quickly turned back around and continued to scan the area.
Immortal Chaos
Sam had hopped out before being handed his communicator. His eyes looked around slowly as he gripped the handle of his gun tightly. He slapped the thing to his wrist as he looked around still and walked a short distance from the chopper, waiting for anything to pop out if it did. He looked back to his team as he cracked his neck. No time like the present huh?" He tried to force a smile as he whispered the scan mode command, activating the communicator and started waiting for anything to happen. Cody Frost
Torai was the third bi-oid to touch ground. "Scan Mode." The hologram was released from it's prison and indicated no sign of movement except for his teammates which were marked blue. "The watches make us appear as blue dots on our holo-screens. Anything else that comes within our scanning range and does not have this watch will appear as a red dot. If your watch runs out of battery, but you are still holding onto the watch, you will appear as a black dot. If you see anyone with a black dot, make sure to approach them and keep each other company, although I really doubt the watches will run out of juice." Torai unstealthed one of his blades and began to proceed into whatever awaited them. "Lets move out!"
Immortal Chaos
Sam clicked the button engage on his chain gun, starting up the small silent motor in it. Slowly the chambers moved around as Sam's golden eyes looked around, and he began to follow after Torai. It was a little silent, more so than a deserted city should be. Even after everything there should be at least a few rats or some form of rodent scurrying around. However, there was hardly any movement besides them. His boots crushed some of the gravel under them as he kept looking from side to side, trying his hardest not to blink, in case he would miss anything. This was unsettling, his stomach seemed all wishy-washy as they ventured, not knowing when or if something would show up.
