Merci
Alpha was already ready on his Bruno-esque Duel Runner. He knew which card Fury had set, and he knew it would aid him. He watched as Agent Fury got to him, which was his call to enter the duel himself. "Don't worry." He said. "You've done extremely well, even though you only managed to inflict a bit of damage. I swear that I'll beat Desna! Now, it's my turn!" He drove on into the tournament and began to speed up until he reached the area where Desna was. "We meet again!" He said. "I originally entered this tournament only to play this children's card game, but since everyone expects me to win, I will! I made a promise to Sir Apollo that he won't be facing three on one, and I swore to Agent Fury that I will beat you! Prepare yourself, time-traveler, for JUSTICE!" He paused for a moment as he waited for the duel to start. "Justice?!? Dude, take a reality check! You're in a stadium playing a card game at high speeds, which is what this is: it's just a GAME! You're acting like its the end of the world or something! Merci
(Speed Counters: 6) Alpha's fade shadowed as his catchphrase was mocked. "Justice as in keeping promises, no matter how dumb they are." He explained. "If I promised to kick your butt, then I would do it, and that would be JUSTICE!" He drew a card from his deck. "I summon Bugman Z, in defense position!" Then, next to Alpha's Duel Runner appeared what looked like a kid with a bomb for a head and a chain with another bomb for a tail (DEF 2000). "Now I activate the facedown card Fury left behind, Ultimate Offering, which allows me to Normal Summon once again by paying 500 life points!" He activated his face-down trap card., and if anyone payed attention to him, then they would have noticed that he hadn't checked it before then, and it was Ultimate Offering. "I activate its effect (LP 3500) to summon Bugman Z in defense position!" Next to Bugman Z appeared something that looked similar to it, only it looked a few years older (DEF 1500). "Finally, when Bugman Z is normal summoned while I control Bugman X, I can special summon Bugman Y from my deck!" In between the two Bugmans appeared a third Bugman, which looked the oldest, but its shape was odd, fat (DEF 1600). "Have you ever seen an Exceed monster before?" He asked. "I overlay my three Bugmans! The three Bugmans will open the overlay network! As the radiance of the Universe crashes down upon the befallen nexus, the electromagnetic space reflects its darkness over the lightning that unlocks the composition of a new freedom. Pull over the interspace to a new Exceed! Exceed Summon! No. 34 Electronic Computer-Beast Tera Byte!" He stacked the three Bugmans on top of each other, before placing the Exceed card on top of it. A vortex appeared above Alpha, and then the three Bugmans turned into lights which entered it. Light erupted from the vortex, and then a yellow-and-black data-like object emerged, which then began to change shape until it resembled a black machine with yellow stripes in an animal-like form with the number '34' on a panel coming from its left shoulder (DEF 2900). As it appeared on the field, a change suddenly went across Alpha, he seemed to become relaxed again. "Now I activate the Continuous Speed Spell card, Level Upslide." He continued. "It allows me to decrease the levels of all monsters on the field to 1, but then increases their ATK by 200 for each level decreased. I must maintain it with two Speed Counters during each of my Standby Phases, however. But then I activate the effect of my No. 34 Electronic Computer-Beast Tera Byte. By removing an Overlaid card from it, I can control a Level 4 or lower monster you control until the End Phase, so I'll remove my Bugman X, and that card which I'll control will be T.G. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna saw the ridiculous Bugmen being summoned, and he continued to laugh. "This is your "justice"? A bunch of weirdos with bombs for heads? Come on! Give me something-" Desna stopped when Alpha started his Exceed Summon, and summoned the strange mechanical beast. "EXCEED MONSTERS?!? What the f**k are those?!? And what did you just summon?!? And what does it-" Then Alpha played Level Upslide, causing all of Desna's monsters to receive an immense power boost. (2400 ATK -> 3200 ATK, LV5 -> LV1) (3900 ATK -> 5700 ATK, LV10 -> LV1), (2800 ATK -> 3600 ATK, LV5 -> LV1) Desna soon realized what Tera-Byte was doing, and activated Blade Blaster's effect. Just as the electrical bolt emanating from Tera-Byte's horn was about to hit Blade Blaster, the mech disappeared in a flash of light. "Ha! Blade Blaster's ability just activated, removing himself from play until my next Standby Phase! Merci
"It doesn't matter." Alpha said as his Tera Byte attempted to and failed to control the Accel Synchro monster Tech Genus Blade Blaster. "It can activate its effect only once per turn, correct, so I cannot attempt to do it any more times. But really, it doesn't matter that much for me. Try and do whatever you like, but, being inexperienced with Exceed monsters as you are, I doubt you'll manage to beat it. And even if you do, I still have a secret weapon as a last resort. Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna drew his card, and grinned as a familiar face, Blade Blaster, blasted back into existence. (3300 ATK -> 5100 ATK) "First, let me chain my Blade Blaster's return with TGX3-DX2, a little Trap Card that allows me to take Tech Genus Werewolf, Tech Genus Beast Mistress, and Tech Genus Missing Link and put them back into my deck to draw 2 cards!" Exocet did so with its oversized holograms. "Next, now that it's the start of my Main Phase, I will activate Speed Spell - Cold Wave, freezing our Spells and Traps by taking away 2 Speed Counters!" (SPC: 9 -> 7) A wave of freezing cold air radiated from the Spell Card, icing over both players' cards. "Now, time to finish this! Blade Shark, destroy his robot!" The giant shark charged at Tera-Byte and sliced it into scrap metal. "Now, Hyper Librarian, attack him directly!" Hyper Librarian fired a huge purple fireball at Alpha, bringing the duelist to a meager amount of Life Points. Merci
Alpha had but a second to reply, and swore, when he was destroyed. And with the pilot gone, the Duel Runner also exploded. The spirit of Alpha retreated not too far away and entered another spare body, whose eyes then opened. He got up, and clenched his fists. "I made two promises," He muttered. "And I'll rewrite history as many times as possible just so I can fulfill them." He then tookout what appeared to be a cellphone, and talked into it. - - - - The New Present - - - - "I chain my trap card Shadow-Piercing Sword to your TGX3-DX2!" Alpha declared suddenly. "It allows me to select a card in your hand, and destroy it! Premier Alexander Romanov
Desna was confused and pissed at the same time. Somehow, this guy had fallen, and exploded in an absolutely beautiful conflagration that was the catharsis of a totally sweet overkill maneuver, only to be back at the start of Desna's turn, with Alpha targeting Shadow-Piercing Sword AT THE CARD DESNA JUST DREW!!! "Wha- Bu- You were- And there was- And you went- And the fireball- WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON AROUND HERE?!?!?" Exocet pointed at Alpha. "You were dead! I never wanted to win the World Racing Grand Prix, never. I came here only to play card games, which have become a massive fad in the past few years. It's a fun game, and I've only started playing it last week. By the way, I'm completely aware that you're trying to find out the truth of me, and I'm saying it anyway. My name is Alpha, the most perfect and most powerful entity possible, and I'm only in the tournament for fun. Unfortunately, everyone is spoiling my mood. Now, are you done with your turn? Zextra
Flynn froze for a second before almost keeling over. "Dammit...what the hell just happened?" he grumbled, feeling a disturbance in the atmosphere, though everything seemed normal. Suddenly, he heard Desna cussing. "Ren, did you feel that? The atmosphere just...shifted a bit" he whispered at a lack of words. He quickly pressed several keys on the laptop in front of him, briefly connecting himself to Exocet. Desna's face appeared on the screen. "Desna, is something wrong? And for that matter, did you feel something strange?" he asked, slightly worried. "Really?" The Duel Mech pilot asked, raising an eyebrow. "You made a promise to a couple of people you only relatively recently met that you would beat one of the best duelists in the multiverse, and you've only been playing a week?!? I'm in this tournament to not only have fun, like you, but to also settle a score with an old friend, and I have to get past you and your perfection...ness...in order to try and settle previously-mentioned score! Now, why don't you just lose gracefully like everyone else I've dueled in this tourney instead of cheating by replaying this turn over and over again?!? I mean, if you're so perfect, why couldn't you take a 150-mm incendiary round TO. THE. FACE?!?" Desna backed off of Alpha's grill and closed up Exocet's torso plating, resuming being several dozen feet in front of Alpha. Desna then received a message from Flynn, and replied. "Yeah. I'm OK. Everything's fine and dandy. Just chillin' in the crib with my home-boy Alpha, or, as I like to call him, 'A-Dog' for short. No need to panic. And the strange feeling you might be experiencing is just a space-time distortion caused by Alpha collapsing our reality and simultaneously creating a new reality that gives him better odds of winning. Nothing major. Just be ready to come out here in the highly unlikely event that I lose." Desna turned his attention back at Alpha. "Now, how about I Normal Summon Tech Genus Drill Fish, then activate TG1-EM1?" A red fish with a drill on its front appeared, then a mechanical mirror popped up behind the fish. (600 ATK, LV1) "TG1-EM1 allows me to trade my Drill Fish for your Tera-Byte, so let's make the swap!" An identical mirror popped into existence behind Tera-Byte, but while Tera-Byte's mirror showed the back of Drill Fish, Drill Fish's mirror showed the back of Tera-Byte. "Hostile takeover, baby! Merci
"Tell you what." Alpha said. "I activate my second, Counter Trap card, Exceed Blaster. I feel like targeting one of your stronger monsters, but I like my Number monster better, thank you very much, so I'll remove my Bugman Y, and good-bye Drill Fishy. It also inflicts 500 damage, by the way, if the destruction is successful." The second of Alpha's three trap cards then opened up, and one of two lights which was circling around the Number monster suddenly went on fire, and cannoned itself at the Drill Fish, destroying it, before cannoning itself at the torso of Exocet (Desna LP: 3200). (Desna: 1850 LP) However, a beam of light shown down from on high, and an old man with a scraggly beard descended, accompanied by several very beautiful winged women. He pointed at Alpha and wagged his finger, causing the effect of Exceed Blaster to be negated and the effect of TG1-EM1 to continue. I tune together my Tuner monster Cannon Wheel, non-Tuner monster Battle Fader, and Exceed Monster No. 34 Electronic Computer-Beast Tera Byte!" The track which Desna and Alpha were on suddenly began to pixelate, but no one else noticed the change. 1's and 0's began to appear in the sky and the area around them began to turn black and green, but once again, no one but Desna and Alpha noticed. They had entered the data world. A rock-like object, which was ten times as big as Desna's Exocet in full form, appeared above Alpha. . . . Password Required To Activate. Input Password. The voice was masculine, but also digital, and came from the rock-like object. Alpha touched his watch, and it opened up, revealing a keyboard composed of numbers underneath it. He inputted the password, and the rock-like object glowed again. Password Accepted. "Hyper A-Trans 100%. Accelerators 100%. Power Data Transfer Loading. . . One Hundred Percent. All Clear. The ultimate source of data. . . Exceed Synchro! Activate at long last, Multinetwork God Yotta Byte!" The rock-like thing suddenly split, revealing that it had a body inside. It was like some sort of centaurus, only it wasn't man-horse. It was transparent, but it could be seen since green lines ran through its body, and it wore armor. It was simply massive, however. As massive as an Earthbound Immortal card. Three lights of data danced about it, and then thousands of bit sounds came from it, though only Alpha and Desna heard it. It could be seen in the real world as well, but it only looked half as big than it did in the data world. "Welcome to the data world, Desna Adats." Alpha said, grinning. "First, when Cannon Wheel is used for a Synchro Summon, I can inflict 500 points of damage to you! Hah!" A laser then came from the Yotta Byte which hit Desna's Exocet directly, and then Alpha continued. "Yotta Byte is what its name implies, composed of a Yotta Byte. That amount of data is too massive to be composed in the trivial world. Relax, we're still in the tournament. Only you are I can see the data around us. Now, I activate the effect of Yotta Byte! It allows me, by removing an Overlaid card from it, as it gains all the Overlays of its Exceed materials, to copy a monster's ATK on the field. I'll remove all of them, and Yotta Byte will copy the ATK of all three of your monsters! Blade Blaster, Blade Shark, and Hyper Librarian!" Data erupted around the designated monsters, but it didn't affect them. The data then 'ran' towards the Yotta Byte, and suddenly its left arm turned into what appeared to be a massive Blade Blaster with its arms and legs fused to its body, and its right arm followed by turning into Blade Shark. Its front legs turned into a scaled version of Hyper Librarian's legs. Alpha only grinned (ATK 8500). "I was originally planning to copy the modified ATKs with Level Upslide, but since you destroyed it I'll just have to work with this. I've reached far higher ATKs before. Now, are you ready?! Multinetwork God Yotta Byte, destroy his Hyper Librarian, and end this duel!" Immediately, the gigantic thing, which wasn't even a true monster being only a massive program, pointed its Blade Blaster arm at the Hyper Librarian, and a huge laser came from it.
